Ich bestelle immer den Caesar Salat zum Mitnehmen und er ist jedes Mal sehr lecker. Frische Zutaten, guter Geschmack und gleichbleibende Qualität. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ich lebe seit sechs Jahren in Deutschland und habe nirgends so gutes, scharfes Brathähnchen wie in den USA gefunden. Hitchcoq macht es fantastisch! Mit Abstand das beste Brathähnchen, das ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe. Sie haben auch tolles Bier und eine schöne Terrasse. Chad war ein super Kellner!

Sehr qualitatives Essen und zuvorkommendes, schnelles Personal. Übersichtlich und einladende Karte. Ambiente sucht seines gleichen. Wie in den Fotos zu sehen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder.

Essen schmeckt super - weshalb ich vielen in meinem Umfeld von dem Laden erzählt hatte. Ich hatte jedoch jedes Mal eine schlechte Erfahrung mit dem Service - eine dauerhafte kein Bock Einstellung und einfach unfreundlich. Anfangs dachte ich „ah jeder kann einen schlechte Tag haben“ bis jedoch aber alle um mich herum (6 verschiedene (!) Bekannte) mich darauf angesprochen haben, ob der service immer so schlecht sei. Ich werde aufgrund des Services nicht mehr dorthin gehen. Schade - hat echt gut geschmeckt. P.s.: wieso darf man auf der Terasse nicht rauchen?

Ziemlich cooles Konzept, wie der Name es sagt, amerikanisch angelehnt. Das Hähnchen schmeckt wirklich top, und wenn ihr die höchste Schärfe bestellt, dann bekommt ihr diese auch. Also das waren die schärfesten Wings, die ich je hatte. Mac and Cheese sowie Coleslaw waren auch in Ordnung. Ich mochte die große Auswahl an Soßen. Die Location ist echt gemütlich und das Personal war cool drauf. Die Portionsgröße hat mich bei den Wings überrascht, würde daher auch sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis echt okay ist. Ist einen Besuch wert.

Wer Lust auf fettiges Hühnchen hat, ist hier genau richtig...

Ich habe letzten Donnerstag und Freitag alleine hier gegessen. Einmal im Garten hinter dem Restaurant. Kleine Speisekarte, leckeres Essen und vor allem eine große Bierauswahl. Das hausgebraute ALTfred ist sehr zu empfehlen. Entspannte Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service. Wenn ich jemals wieder nach Düsseldorf komme, werde ich bestimmt wieder hier essen! Oh ja. Es ist auch ein Vorteil, dass man sich direkt außerhalb der Altstadt befindet. Es schien, als wären mehr Einheimische als Touristen da.

Sehr leckeres Essen, guter Service

Wir sind Stammgäste hier. Beim ersten Mal bestellten wir den Familien-Eimer – die Portion war riesig, und wir konnten sie nicht aufessen, also nahmen wir den Rest mit nach Hause. Ich finde, die Schärfe ist gut verträglich; selbst die schärfste Variante ist für die meisten Chinesen nicht besonders scharf. Es ist lecker und knusprig, aber ziemlich ölig, und wenn man es plötzlich isst, könnte einem der Magen wehtun!

Ich komme immer wieder gerne hierher. Lecker.

Das beste Brathähnchen, das ich je gegessen habe! Ich empfehle unbedingt die gewürzte Variante, nicht die scharfe, um den vollen Geschmack des Hähnchens und der Gewürze zu genießen. Die Mac and Cheese sind auch superlecker.

Hervorragende Wings und Drumsticks! Aussen knusprig und innen saftig. Perfekte Gewürzmischung. Nebenbei sind die Fritten auch ein absoluter Hammer! Bislang war ebenso jedes Craftbeer am Hahn ein absoluter Genuss. Abgerundet wird das Essen durch den freundlichen und schnellen Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Definitiv zu empfehlen.

Hatten für 6 Personen reserviert, einer hatte kurzfristig abgesagt. Nachdem der Kellner alle abkassiert hat (mit Trinkgeld), kam er mit der No-Show Fee von 20€. Fair point, stand in der Bestätigungsmail, ist auch nicht des Kellners Schuld, fanden wir aber unnötig, besonders wenn das im allerletzten Satz noch angesprochen wird. Kann man so machen, muss man aber nicht, ist kein Sternerestaurant , alle hatten vernünftig konsumiert. Kurz mit dem Besitzer gesprochen, der unbedingt auf seine Policy bestand. Es ging nicht um das Geld, sondern ums Prinzip Gastfreundschaft - waren alle mindestens 10x da, regelmäßig. Arrogante Attitüde des Besitzers, der einem ein Praktikum anbietet und die 20 Euro zurückgibt und einen bittet dafür nie wieder zu reservieren, droht mit quasi Hausverbot. Normalerweise wäre mir meine Zeit zu schade für so einen langen Kommentar, aber vielleicht gut zu wissen, in wessen Tasche man den Umsatz treibt. Hatten auch keinen wirklichen Aufstand gemacht, soll er mit den 20€ glücklich werden, wenn er dafür wiederkehrende Kunden verliert mangels Geschäftssinn.

Wer in Gruppen reserviert, sollte sich bewusst sein, dass hier null Kulanz herrscht. Wir hatten einen Tisch für sechs Personen reserviert, mussten aber kurzfristig krankheitsbedingt mit fünf Personen erscheinen. Das kann in der Gastronomie natürlich ein Thema sein – dafür haben wir grundsätzlich Verständnis. Was uns jedoch überrascht hat: Obwohl wir als Gruppe vor Ort waren, mehrere Runden Getränke bestellt haben und bereits öfter mit größeren Gruppen dort zu Gast waren, bestand der Inhaber konsequent auf einer Ausfallgebühr von 20 €. Noch enttäuschender war für uns der Ton des Gesprächs, der aus unserer Sicht unnötig abwertend wirkte. Statt einer lösungsorientierten Kommunikation fühlten wir uns eher belehrt als willkommen.

Das Essen schmeckt wirklich gut, auch wenn es sehr teuer ist. Was eine bodenlose Frechheit ist, ist der Service. Wir mussten über 20 Minuten auf unsere drei Getränke warten und der Keller war extrem unhöflich, fast schon genervt von uns als Gästen.

Wir waren im Hitchcoq in Düsseldorf, weil ich nach unserer Reise nach New York und Toronto richtig Lust auf Nashville Hot Chicken hatte. Dort hatte ich mehrfach extrem gutes Chicken (Wings, Sandwiches, Hot Chicken) und wollte das in Deutschland mal wiederfinden. Hitchcoq wirbt ja genau mit Nashville Hot Chicken, daher direkt reserviert. Positiv: Die Bedienung war wirklich freundlich, alles ging sehr schnell und insgesamt wirkt der Laden gut organisiert. Es ist allerdings recht eng, was in solchen Spots in der Großstadt aber meistens dazugehört. Zum Essen: Es war „in Ordnung“ und grundsätzlich lecker, aber leider nicht so, wie ich es erwartet hatte. Ich hatte die Hähnchenbrustfilets. Geschmacklich okay, aber mir hat dieses gewisse Etwas gefehlt, das gutes Nashville Chicken ausmacht. Das Chicken Sandwich war insgesamt besser und hat uns gut gefallen. Bei den Sides waren die Mac & Cheese richtig lecker, der Coleslaw dagegen eher enttäuschend. Wenig Geschmack und für mich kein Highlight. Fazit: Insgesamt ein solider Besuch mit sehr freundlichem Service, schnellen Abläufen und grundsätzlich war es auch lecker. Trotzdem hat es mich geschmacklich, gemessen an meinen Erwartungen an Nashville Chicken, nicht komplett abgeholt. Und genau deshalb passt für mich auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ganz: Für den aufgerufenen Preis hätte ich insgesamt mehr „Wow“ erwartet. Sowohl beim Chicken als auch bei den Beilagen (gerade beim Coleslaw). Vielleicht gebe ich dem Ganzen nochmal eine Chance mit einer anderen Auswahl, aber dieses Mal blieb es eher bei „okay“.

Die Wings an sich waren saftig und gut zubereitet. Geschmacklich war es sehr lahm. Die Mac'n'cheese waren viel zu wässrig. Menü Auswahl ist auch nicht besonders. Essens gibts auf der Karte, Getränke nur digital (: Preise sind sowieso viel zu hoch für das was angeboten wird. Zum probieren wars grad mal so ok...

Keine Buckets möglich - aber die gleiche Menge an Einzelportionen denn O-Ton Kellner - 'Einzelportionen sind wirtschaftlicher' Bei unserem Besuch konnten wir leider keine Buckets mehr bestellen „damit mehr Tische etwas bekommen, wir haben nur noch wenig“ – herrlich sozial gedacht, nur nicht zu ende. Wir durften die identische Menge einfach als Einzelportionen bestellen: Gleicher Preis, keine Beilage. Effizient gelöst, besonders für die Marge. Auf nachfragen wenigstens ehrlich: Erst die schöne Geschichte von fairer Verteilung, dann erfreulich offen die echte Antwort vom Kellner– 'Einzelportionen sind wirtschaftlicher'. Mein Tipp: Wenn Buckets sich nicht rechnen, einfach streichen und nicht auf Umwegen teurer verkaufen. (Dazu kommt noch, ja es war vor eurem Schließtag aber wir hatten sogar reserviert)

Top Service. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Schärfegrad "Afterlife" ist wirklich nur für Personen zu empfehlen, die es gerne sehr scharf mögen. Meine Tischnachbar hat sehr gelitten.

Der Laden ist fantastisch, da komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder. Die Chicken Wings haben genau den richtigen Schärfegrad, man kann sie aber auch ganz mild bestellen. Das Bier war super. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Richtig gutes essen! Nashville chicken findet man in Deutschland schon sehr selten, und dann noch so gutes! Ebenfalls begeistert war ich vom Ranch Dressing! Auch das findet man eher selten bei uns, und bei diesem hat man direkt geschmeckt dass es home made und verdammt lecker war. Die Portionen waren größer als erwartet und das die Biersorten spannend. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Bevor wir hierher kamen, waren wir im Holy Craft Beer. Ich hatte auf Untappd gesehen, dass Hitchcoq mehr Sauerbiere hat, deshalb sind wir hierher gewechselt. Die Mitarbeiter waren super nett und freundlich. Ich empfehle, zu reservieren, damit man nicht auf einen Tisch warten muss. Sie haben gute Biere im Kühlschrank und servieren auch Hähnchen. Nachtrag: Ich war ein zweites Mal mit meinem Freund hier. Diesmal hatte ich reserviert. Wir lieben beide Craft-Biere, also gingen wir direkt zum Kühlschrank. Normalerweise (in jeder Craft-Bier-Bar, die wir in Europa besucht haben) kann man sich eine Dose oder Flasche aus dem Kühlschrank mit an den Tisch nehmen, und sie wird dann auf die Rechnung gesetzt. Als die Kellnerin bemerkte, dass wir mein Bier (ich hatte es noch nicht geöffnet) aus dem Kühlschrank genommen hatten, fragte sie mehrmals, wie viele Dosen wir genommen hätten, und antwortete so, als ob mein Freund und ich vielleicht mehr als eine genommen hätten. Dann nahm sie das Bier mit. Nach einer Weile kam sie mit derselben Dose und nur einem Glas zurück. (Es war nicht mal eingeschenkt, haha!) Ich finde, sie hätten das besser so lösen können: Sie hätte uns sagen können, dass wir beim nächsten Mal einfach das gewünschte Bier zeigen sollen, und sie hätten es uns dann gebracht. Anschließend hätte sie uns ein Glas dazu gebracht. Wenn sie so empfindlich darauf reagieren, dass Leute Bier aus dem Kühlschrank klauen, hätten sie einen Zettel hinstellen sollen mit der Aufschrift: „Bitte fragen Sie uns, wenn Sie etwas von hier möchten“ oder so ähnlich. Es ist nämlich ziemlich nervig, weil man normalerweise die Dose anschauen und sehen will, was drin ist. Es ist ja kein Schmuckstück, das man von außen betrachten kann. Wie dem auch sei, ich glaube, ich werde da sowieso nicht mehr hingehen. Beim ersten Mal fand ich es echt cool.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Hitchcoq ist in jeder Hinsicht perfekt: unglaublich saftiges, makelloses Hähnchen, die wohl besten Käsekuchen der Welt und eine abwechslungsreiche, wechselnde Bierauswahl, die für Abwechslung sorgt. Dazu kommt ein wirklich aufmerksamer und herzlicher Service – ein Ort, den man einfach lieben muss. Ein absolutes Muss!

WOW… Wo soll ich anfangen? Das perfekte Chicken? JA!! Jedes Mal ein Erlebnis,eine Achterbahnfahrt. Von der Vorfreude bei der Hinfahrt bis zum letzten Bissen: ein Gedicht! Ich kann es mehr als nur weiterempfehlen! Es ist praktisch ein Muss, wenn man Chicken liebt. Danke, liebes Hitchcoq-Team

The roast chicken was crispy and juicy on the outside, tender on the inside, and reasonably priced. The only downside was the limited and cramped seating; it got quite noisy from about 7 pm onwards. However, the food and service were good.

Nice place. Specifically for burgers. They have good veggie burger as well however will recommend to reserve a table in advance.

You have to like it; for us, the dishes were too spicy and artificial.

We've been here twice now. We had the chicken fillet (very good) and the drumstick basket, which I personally didn't find that great. The side dishes are good, but nothing special. The Altbier is excellent, it's really something special!

Great chicken, fitting sides and so much beer choice that I was lost without the consultation from 3! Different servers. All helped with different choices and in the end we tried 5 beers that were all very different but all tasty in their own way. From mango and blueberry to sour IPAs. We will be back!

Super friendly service. We didn't have a reservation and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. The food is truly delicious. The fried chicken wings are excellent, but the fried filet is also delicious. You can currently choose three spice levels. We opted for the less spicy option. The fries are also delicious, the side salad is excellent, and the mac and cheese is also great. A great place with great food.

We went to Hitchcock in Düsseldorf (Nashville) without a reservation, so we had to sit outside for a bit and wait a bit longer for our food. The food was tasty and solid, but nothing exceptional—worth four stars for me. Of course, that's a matter of taste. I don't want to give them a bad review, but rather remain objective: A visit is definitely worth it; everyone should see for themselves. Recommendation: Be sure to reserve a table in advance.

The food is delicious, but the prices are truly abysmal, sorry! A small side salad costs just under €6. Who needs it? I always wonder where this is all going?

We received very friendly and prompt service. While the selection isn't huge, it offers exactly what you'd expect from a place like this. The seasoned chicken wings were among the best, highly recommended! The burger was also incredibly delicious, and the sides included crispy fries and a truly delicious mac 'n' cheese made from our own recipe. A fantastic selection for beer lovers, too. We'll be back!

First of all: I always read the reviews first, and in this case, I can't understand the negative ones at all. We had a great meal (tried both spice levels, although Afterlife is truly incredibly hot and more of a test of courage) and a great drink, too. The craft beer is delicious, the chicken tender, and the mac 'n cheese is amazing! The service was perfect, and we didn't miss a thing for a second! I'd love to come back, probably tomorrow! Thank you for the lovely evening and the absolutely spicy experience!

A rollercoaster ride for the taste buds. The different flavors are perfectly fine up to 4. Choosing 5 and more is quite a challenge; the taste buds are dancing more than just the tango. I managed it anyway, and of course I'll be back!!! Keep up the good work :)

Hitchcoq is truly one of my favorite places in Düsseldorf. Besides the chicken sandwich, my favorite is definitely the drumstick bucket, which is incredibly delicious and simply perfect with beer. The beer selection is incredibly exciting, from craft beer to Altfred, which I consider a truly delicious Altbier. The team is super friendly, and you immediately feel at home. The place has a relaxed atmosphere and a lovely beer garden. The food has always been excellent, and overall, it's just a place you enjoy going to. I definitely recommend it.

The food is incredibly good, I had hoped for a lot in advance and my expectations were still exceeded, I had the chicken sandwich which in my opinion is a bit misleadingly named because it is served in a burger bun (although I understand the choice of name because in my case the burger bun was topped with two individual chicken strips) this chicken burger as I would call it was my personal highlight, I also had the opportunity to try the wings which were also excellent and the mac & cheese were also very good Successful, you should note that a very small portion is served, but the price is completely reasonable. Overall, I found the prices for both food and beer to be very fair. There is a solid craft beer selection but only a few draft beers when compared to the competition. Hopefully that alone shouldn't deter anyone. In my opinion the store is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back! :)

Very good food in a really cool location – Hitchcoq impresses with a small but fine menu, which I think is absolutely fantastic! Quality is clearly the top priority here, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. One small downside in the summer: Unfortunately, there are quite a few mosquitoes outside – perhaps a bit more mosquito repellent would have been helpful. I also personally found the restrooms a bit small. Nevertheless: If you're looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to be. A definite recommendation!

Very tasty American fried chicken! I've been there several times, and the taste has always been excellent. The sides are a bit overpriced for the amount. Relaxed atmosphere, especially the outdoor area. Service is friendly, but the wait times are sometimes too long, for example, for a bill.

Positives Tasty chicken: The main course – the chicken wings – was really tasty and juicy. And perfectly spicy (for me). Good beer: The beer was also cold, fresh, and we enjoyed it. Negatives Limited payment options: Unfortunately, during our visit, only cash payment was possible – card payments were not accepted that day. In times when card payments are standard almost everywhere, we found this inconvenient. Inconvenient ordering system: Orders for the entire table must be placed via a smartphone, and only by one person. This means that one person at the table takes over the entire order digitally via their phone for everyone. The concept is very inflexible in practice: If this person had to leave the table early, ordering would be problematic for everyone else. Overall, we found this approach unnecessarily complicated and customer-unfriendly. Confused menus: Although the food menu was printed at the table, the drinks menu was only available digitally via phone. We found this hybrid system confusing – why is the menu printed while you have to pull out your smartphone for drinks? Long wait despite self-ordering: Even though we placed our orders ourselves, we (5 people) had to wait almost 45 minutes for the food. While the drinks were served promptly, the kitchen took a very long time. For a restaurant where guests have to handle part of the ordering process themselves, we would have expected the food to be served faster. Value for money: While the food was tasty, we found the prices a bit too high for what was offered. Especially compared to similar restaurants, the value for money didn't seem optimal. Conclusion The beer and the food at Hitchcoq were good, but for us, the negative aspects of the concept outweighed the positives. The customer-unfriendly mobile ordering method, in particular, spoiled our visit. Without this ordering concept, we might give the restaurant another chance, but as it is, we see no reason to return. You can get similarly good chicken wings and other chicken dishes elsewhere – and there you don't have to do the work of the service staff.

Friday evening, 10:45 p.m., according to the internet, the shop is supposed to be open until midnight. No cake...no more desire???? The restaurant was still open, the staff was still there, but that was all.

The manager's greeting was rather hectic and cold. Not unfriendly, but not a proper welcome, and then we were quickly shown to our tables. He managed to pull it off, though, after taking the time to advise me on the beer and finding exactly the perfect one. I also thought it was great that he then freed up a table in the courtyard for us to sit outside. Great, so I'll turn a blind eye. Everyone has a bad day. We only had the seasoned fried chicken. If you like it spicy or at least zesty, you should go for the second level. The sandwich was great, but could have used more sauce, and it was a shame the cheese wasn't melted. The individual pieces were also good, but they shouldn't have been fried any longer, otherwise it would have been too dry. The seats outside could use cushions. Unfortunately, it's not ideal for trying the craft beer menu. Not perfect yet, but we'll give the place another chance and come back with friends.

I don't even know where to start raving. We actually came here because of the excellent selection of craft beer, and most of it at fair prices. Food was actually secondary, we thought, but it was simply fantastic. So if you're into either craft beer or Nashville hot chicken, you should definitely head to Hitchcoq.

The fried chicken is really good. I only had the chicken breast, and it was just right and nice and juicy. I also had the mac and cheese, but I think it has little to do with authentic mac and cheese. Neither the consistency nor the noodles. It's just macaroni and cheese with cheese sauce. I was a bit disappointed, but overall it was very good.

The food and atmosphere were very good, but unfortunately, the unfriendly service stayed with us. A shame.

The beer and concept remain strong – but the service won't keep us coming back! We've been to Hitchcoq repeatedly for over six years – because of the unique beers, the concept, and the excellent food. The craft beer selection is still the best in Düsseldorf, and we also believe that the owners – the two brothers – have their hearts in the right place. However, the atmosphere in the place gets more unpleasant every year. But what ultimately makes it easier for us to leave is a certain waiter who has treated us extremely rudely, dismissively, and almost irritated on several occasions. Although QR ordering isn't mandatory, he makes it clear: direct contact is unwelcome. In addition, the quality of the food has declined – it used to be exceptional, but now it's rather interchangeable. Classics like mac 'n' cheese are now just disappointingly bland. After the third time, with such a bad feeling, we said, "I guess that's it." We hope that the owners will pay more attention to atmosphere and genuine hospitality again – because the potential is there.

We tried the chicken wings and Chicken Fillet. The food is good. Try with a bit spice. Would love ti bring frienda here. Atmosphere is very chill.

-Very tasty home-brewed beer -Chicken juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside -5 levels of sharpness, number 2 is normal sharpness -The hottest level is hot, I definitely wouldn't order food with it but it's bearable. This sharpness would be better declared as level 3 -50€ for 1.5kg of chicken including side dishes and sauces is a good price-performance ratio

A very nice shop, but once again, disproportionately expensive. Eating out is no fun when you have to spend €20-30 on fried chicken to get full.

Simply good food, good service and a chill vibe

I had very high expectations and they were far exceeded. Great beers on tap and we were impressed by the variety of IPA cans. The chicken was as good as any top Nashville Hot Chicken place in the USA. Already looking forward to our next trip there. Service was fantastic despite being short staffed and they were very accommodating for our two dogs.

This is by far the best chicken in all of Düsseldorf. The different levels of spiciness are super tasty and edible despite the corresponding spiciness. The spiciest chicken may burn twice, but it's still super tasty. The small beer menu behind the restaurant is beautifully integrated into the Düsseldorf surroundings and offers a great place to eat even in great weather. The service was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was great. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our visit to Hitchcoq! A comfortably furnished and lit, albeit very small shop - so be sure to make a reservation, especially on weekends, otherwise you have no chance of getting a seat... Hitchcoq specializes in craft beer & Nashville fried chicken. The menu is small (fried chicken in a burger or just like that, mac and cheese, fries and coleslaw) but delicious! We chose the fried chicken burger with mac & cheese. Both incredibly good, with one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten. Crispy and very well seasoned, the Mac & Cheese was hearty and tasty - both dishes were exactly as they should be 👏🏼 We also really liked the exceptional craft beer, of which there is a large selection. It may not be for everyone, but you definitely have to try it, especially if you're a beer enthusiast! Overall we had a very nice evening at Hitchcoq! The team loves the concept and has brought the few dishes on the menu to perfection. The price is quite expensive even for Düsseldorf standards, but it's still worth a visit. We will definitely be back soon!

Cozy location, great service, delicious food (we had wings, filets, coleslaw, fries, and cheesecake). The house-made Altfred beer is definitely recommended. What more could you want?! We'll definitely be back.

At first it's a bit counter-intuitive to go to a chicken restaurant as a veggie, but there is a really good selection! I had a tindle chicken sandwich and it tasted really good. The side dishes of mac 'n cheese and pickled vegetables were also very good. We were looked after by really nice service and the craft beer selection was outstanding. There are also vegan options. I also recommend the Hitchcoq for vegetarians and vegans.

Great shop: delicious food, fast and very friendly service, good vibes. My suggestion: There could be a level of spiciness between “seasoned” and “very hot”.

Everything was on point !! 👌 The main dish the Nashville hot Chicken tenders were very well seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside 🔥 The fries are crispy and one of the best I had and the mac’n cheese was very tasty, cheesy and excellent. 10 out of 10 🤗

Small shop, fast and attentive staff, and simply great chicken. The mac'n'cheese was solid, but not as good compared to the rest because it lacked the cheesiness and creaminess.

From what I've heard, it's not bad here. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test this on the 3rd attempt either. Was closed again and no information at all on the website. So, conclusion: visited 3 times - all 3 times closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".

I've been a regular customer at this restaurant for a long time, but after my last visit I definitely won't be coming back. When I politely asked if I could take something with me because I was in a hurry, I received a rude response from the waiter behind the bar: "Yes, then don't order." To be honest, this is incomprehensible to me. Either the store is now so “fed up” with money that customer service no longer plays a role, or such a tone is now standard there. Either way, such behavior is unacceptable. I always enjoyed being here, but respect for the guests should be the minimum. Really a shame!

The place is in very good condition, the service was on a high level, but unfortunately the taste was not surprising, dips that are ordered additionally do not have a sufficiently bright taste, and considering that we took not spicy chicken wings, which themselves do not have any bright taste for example it could be more salty for my taste. The same applies to the pickles, which were only two small pieces, but I also do not understand the policy that chicken and waffles are available only at certain times, as in my opinion this dish should always be ready to order, because it is something special. Beer selection is good.

Perfect place. Best chicken and best beer you can have in Germany. But it would be better with a candle on the table in the evening. Would be really romantic.

It does not get any better than Hitchcoq, if it comes to chicken. Combined with a large international selection of craft beers (tap and can), this is the place to be for every chicken and/or beer lover.

All in all an average restaurant and very expensive. When it came to the sandwich, the bun was ice cold and the cheese wasn't melted. The mac and cheese was a bit lumpy and unfortunately the pickled vegetables weren't that crunchy either. the wings were also a bit dry. The slice of toast underneath was completely hard even after all the wings were gone. the service was a bit rude. I asked if you could explain to me how hot very spicy is (the first level of spiciness is shown with 3 chilli peppers). the explanation was refused. I just got a hold of it. it wasn't even spicy. I would describe it as spicy at best if you eat spicy food every now and then

Absolute recommendation for really tender and deliciously seasoned chicken 😍 The Chicken & Waffles tasted wonderful. The combination of fresh waffles, tender, spicy chicken, gherkin and maple syrup was a perfect fit. I thought the mac and cheese was just ok, but I was there for the chicken and that thrilled me. 😊 I also think it's great that you can choose from 3 levels of spiciness for the chicken. But for me the sharpness was weaker than expected. “Seasoned” wasn’t spicy at all and “really hot” was only slightly spicy for me. I still have to try “Afterlife”. 🌶️ The service was friendly and the ambience was warm and cozy with a rustic charm. This is a good place to eat in small groups, but it is also very suitable for dates. A reservation is recommended. I would love to come back! ☺️

After the reopening, the best level of spiciness is unfortunately no longer available. He was the best (Hot) The Caesar salad was no longer what it used to be... hardly any sauce and, unlike before, the Parmesan was used more than sparingly. So - more tinsel first. Still tasty

Offer a small menu and make what is offered perfect! Chicken marinated and breaded and served with craft beer. Yummy! The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is attentive and friendly! We'll be back 😊

For me there is no better place for craft beer and good food. The chicken is just amazing every time. Not only the selection of beers but also the quality is incredible. Some craft beer bars have more selection but not nearly as high a density of extremely good beers from all over the world. Yesterday we were there again for the re-opening and it was just a great evening, thank you for that and see you soon!!

Our favorite chicken restaurant, perfect with craft beer 🙂. We've been going here for years when we're craving chicken and love the fillet. Plentiful, well seasoned, super spicy if desired and delicious side dishes if required (mac'n'cheese *yum*). I never eat cake, but I could indulge in the cheesecake (especially the raspberry cheesecake). The craft beer selection is good and constantly changing, and the prices are fair. The home-brewed house beers Altfred and Alma (Alt and Lager) are very drinkable and also suitable for beginners. In addition, there are usually 2-3 different beers on tap. You can also get advice. The service is quick even on busy days. We always like to come back 🙂

Best place for chicken, beer and wine. Luckily it's on the other side of town because otherwise I would probably be there several times a week.
