I ordered a chicken shawarma and a lamb shawarma. The sandwiches were large and the amount of meat was really generous. The chicken shawarma was super tasty, the lamb was rather average. At first I got two chicken shawarmas. I asked and explained that I had ordered one each with chicken and lamb. The staff apologized immediately, were extremely polite and accommodating, they left me the chicken sandwich and also gave me one with lamb. Big praise to the respectful and honorable team! For me, that's exactly the most important point in a restaurant: treating customers well - that's what makes a guest come back once, twice and ten times. May God reward you richly!

Most awesome shwarma in the region. You normally have to wait un line for some time but its definitly worth it. I normally take the Meat Shwarma XL for 9€ and a box of pickled vegetables for a euro. The preperation is very organizef and the crew lways in a good mood. I love it here and definitly recommend for anybody to try out.

I am very disappointed by the attitude of the Shawarma City staff. The service was rude and disrespectful, especially to people who don't speak Arabic or German. It is unacceptable to feel excluded or poorly treated because of the language you speak. Despite the fact that the shawarma is good, I regret having tried this place. Welcoming and respecting customers should be a priority, regardless of their origin or language.

The taste is simply awesome, super tasty and so unique for Düsseldorf. However, the store is no longer an insider tip and you often have to wait in line for a little longer. That's the only negative thing I can think of here.

What makes a restaurant stand out is the service before the food, the service was excellent, they treated us (me and my kids) like family, waiting in line for 15 minutes to get the order was worth it, it felt like i was back home eating Shawerma. First time to visit and hopefully for many returns

Shawarma City is a busy shop, often so busy that you have to expect a wait. This speaks to its popularity, but also to its typical snack-like character – ultimately, the concept isn't that different from the many other kebab shops in the city. The food itself tastes good, but it's extremely greasy and contains a generous amount of garlic, which means it lingers for a long time – literally. Those with sensitive skin should be prepared for this. A major drawback, however, is the hygiene. Although gloves are worn, unfortunately, I noticed during my wait that they were never changed. The same gloves were used not only to prepare the food but also to operate the cash register and perform other tasks. This doesn't leave a good impression and significantly tarnishes an otherwise solid dining experience. Conclusion: With better hygiene and less fat and garlic, Shawarma City would be a definite recommendation. The result is a mixed impression – good food, but questionable cleanliness. Hopefully, this was just a snapshot and not a standard.

Food is delicious. Unfortunately they never have the tabbouleh, everytime I asked they said tomorrow. There never was any “tomorrow”. Just remove it from your card please. Also you can almost never pay by card. That’s quite annoying. Please travel to 2025 quickly. Prices are reasonable.

Syrian shawarma is abnormally wonderful... I recommend trying it in every sense of the word. Very delicious shawarma. The service from the young men, all of whom are Syrian, is very respectable. And the atmosphere is beautiful

The employee at the door simply skipped over me when ordering - everyone behind me was allowed to order except me. Since there were several employees behind the counter, I just wanted to order somewhere else. Suddenly the cashier intervened and confronted me in an unfriendly manner about why I hadn't ordered from the first employee. Um, maybe because he ignored me?! And strangely, it wasn't a problem for other customers to order elsewhere - only for me it was made into a drama. The entire attitude of the team was extremely unfriendly, as if I had done something wrong just because the first employee “didn’t see me”. I haven't experienced such disrespect in a long time.

Falafel sandwich with hummus is vegan, €5, quite good, but in my opinion it's not worth the 1 hour wait (we were there at 6 pm on Tuesday). But if friends go there for the sharwarma, as a vegan you definitely won't go away empty-handed.

Absolutely don't understand the hype. The shawarmas have nothing special. Normally kebab shops in Germany are quite salty, but here the seasoning was just right - not too salty, not too bland, just on point with the sauce. Yes, the line is always long. But don't panic, you'll have your food in less than 10 minutes. So, get in line – it’s worth it. Next time? Definitely with lamb. 🔥

I ordered a lamb shawarma XL... I found the meat to be rather tough and poorly seasoned, the sauces and the salad all together a bit very sour for my taste.. the service is fast, the guys know their stuff and work well together.. The roll is fried on all sides before it is served... The salads, herbs and sauces are of good quality.. I will stop by again and try the chicken shawarma and make a few special requests..

Best shawarma place in Düsseldorf. As someone who has tasted the best shawarmas in Saudi Arabia and UAE, I can vouch that this place has the same taste. May have to wait in line to order, but the wait is worth the taste.

I have always been attracted by the long queue here, and I was curious about how delicious it is. There are so many people queuing up every time. Today there were only 2 people who passed by. The mutton dish is the most recommended. It is indeed delicious. It tastes different from others and the crust has a unique flavor! The taste is worthy of the long queue!

This is what a shawarma should taste like. I had the Classic in XL. Absolutely fair price/performance ratio. The only thing that bothered me was the waiting time, which speaks for the store. There were even heaters outside so it didn't get cold while waiting.

Everything in the menu with lamb is 100% recommended, very tasty. I find the chicken much too dry and seasoned/marinated with a hint of lemon, which is not my thing. I would actually give it 3 stars because the chicken was so dry but the lamb is just too tasty.

In my opinion this shawarma was the best in Düsseldorf. My last visit wasn't so positive. Suddenly there was scaffolding in the shop. The quality of the shawarma had significantly deteriorated, it was cold, didn't taste the same and the sauces were very watery. But the sellers there are all correct. This was definitely my last visit.

Completely overrated. Portion a joke, meat cold (pre-cut) and bland, sauces overpowering and unfortunately just not tasty, another TikTok phenomenon. Loading was cf. empty otherwise the frustration would be even greater.
