The panoramic restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the Elbe, which perfectly complements the ambience. The menu impresses with a fine selection of regional and fresh dishes. The DONNERS panfish is particularly recommended – fish of the day with spinach, mustard sauce, scrambled eggs and fried potatoes. The dry aged fillet steak was also prepared to perfection and of the highest quality. The service was attentive and friendly, which further enriched the evening. The extensive wine list left nothing to be desired and rounded off the culinary experience. A special highlight is the view from the highest panoramic restaurant in Cuxhaven, which makes the visit an unforgettable experience.  We will definitely be back and can recommend DONNERS Wein & Küchenbar to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine in an impressive ambience.

This time my food wasn't as tasty. I ordered the dish of the day - Limandes fillet in pepper sauce with walnut risotto, for €23.90 - fish was too bland and there was no salt. The risotto is not my thing.

We've been there twice now and really enjoyed it. Delicious food, tasty beer, and a great atmosphere. Prices are certainly not cheap, but you get a great all-round experience.

Wir waren am 3. Januar 2025 mit 6 Personen dort zum wiederholten Male zum Essen. Obwohl jeder etwas anderes zum Essen hatte waren alle zufrieden. Sowohl Fleisch, Salate und die Fischplatte waren gelungen und sehr lecker. Das junge Team war freundlich und nett. Leider waren wegen der vielen Abreisenden einige Tische leer. Ansonsten ist aber immer eine Tischreservierung zu empfehlen.

I have never had such unfriendly service in my life. My wife wanted to swap vegetables for salad, which costs €3.50, and the waitress got fussy. She offered more grilled vegetables, but they were all burnt and swimming in oil. I had redfish with fries for €20, which was careless; any snack bar could do it better. The quantity was simply a joke; no normal person could get full from it. My mother-in-law had plaice Finkenwerder style, which was very good, to be fair. But that was it. When asked whether it tasted good, I said it was very poor for €20 and the oily, burnt vegetables were not a place you would go back to. The waitress then got really angry. She slammed the plates together (if they break, she probably doesn't have to pay for them) and steamed off. I wanted to pay, and the receipt came for €88.20. I left a 100, no tip. I only do that when the waiter is unfriendly; otherwise, I always round up. Now she rummaged in her wallet and gave me back the smallest amount she had. I don't care, I collect change so I can't get hit with it, blah. Next time, we'll go down the door. Here's my plate for €20.

At the self-service counter, coffee and cappuccino are very expensive, but of poor quality.

It was great here. Delicious and friendly, and even small special requests (such as vegetables on a separate plate) were accommodated. I had a great time, and the prices were more than reasonable.

We can only recommend the ambience and service. The drinks and food were delivered very quickly. The waiters are super friendly. The food was extremely tasty. We now come back there again and again to eat.

I've been there twice now and I hear people working in the kitchen but they don't even notice you as a customer. After standing there at the counter for 10 minutes, I left again. I really don't feel like calling around the store, they have to recognize that I'm there.

We had reserved and had to wait a long time for the table that was assigned to us. Our request if we could sit at another table, which was also marked as reserved and also had 5 seats, was laughed at and rejected. After a long wait, the drinks were brought to us, but unfortunately the wrong ones. The food came quite quickly and initially looked delicious. The schnitzel is definitely not recommended. Unfortunately, it is not breaded and fried on site, but arrives at the restaurant already ready. Unfortunately it tasted like industrial schnitzel from the supermarket. Anyone who has ever breaded schnitzel and fried it in butter or lard will be disappointed by the oil-soaked result. But the fries were ok.
