Hello everyone, My wife and I were in Cuxhaven today delivering a spare part to a client and thought we'd spend another night in Dunen with our campervan. We wanted to go to Björn's Beach; we'd been there twice before a while ago. Once it was fantastic and once it was just okay, but third time's the charm. We went to the restaurant full of anticipation, but then we were greeted by a man behind the bar (around 40, red/blond hair) in a way that was definitely not what you want. A table was assigned to us with hand gestures and in an overly assertive manner. It seemed like this annoyed the customer. It's a shame, because we like to tip and enjoy eating out, but only if the service is good. This server should perhaps apply for a different position where he doesn't harm the owner. We come there often; the food is delicious and the service is incredibly friendly. The food is sooooooo good, but unfortunately, I have to deduct a star. Whether it's steak, hamburgers... the lamb's lettuce is ALWAYS sandy. It's so annoying with such otherwise good food. The problem is well-known; I'm not the first to complain about it. But Chef Björn swears by the lamb's lettuce. It ruins the dish, Björn! From now on, I'll only order explicitly without lamb's lettuce. I'll pass this tip on to you all!

Lovely atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, and delicious food. Definitely recommended, very popular, so it's best to reserve a table in advance. We had a wonderful evening.

The food was delicious, the fireplace was lovely, and the service was super friendly! The food wasn't typical tourist fare, but really good and plentiful.

The new area (like a conservatory) is very nice (just like the BeachHouse at the beach), but it's cold. Please install patio heaters. It's a shame. A blanket was offered and accepted, but it's not enough. Unfortunately, there's no warmer area. As long-time guests of both restaurants, we would have expected that.

The fish sandwiches from the cart have been a must on our Cuxhaven vacations for years, but we've never been to the restaurant before. We were there two evenings in a row this week. The chef is super nice, the staff are very, very friendly and so attentive, and the food is a feast for the eyes and the palate. Thank you so much, we'll be back.

There were four of us, and we were warmly welcomed and served. The food was very good; we had three Björn's beach plates and one Cordon Bleu. We highly recommend it.

Best restaurant I've ever visited. Everything was prepared, seasoned, and presented to perfection. The prices are more than reasonable; you'll definitely be full for €25. Even the desserts are first-class. It's a shame I live so far away, otherwise I'd eat there every day. But at least this way I don't have to worry about being wheeled out at some point :D

We were in Cuxhaven for a weekend and had to go to Björn's Beach twice. The food on the first evening was so impressive that we had to go back the next day. The beef fillet was tender as butter. You can't cook meat any better. The soups were fantastic. The fish platter was amazing. Huge praise to the chef! The service staff were also very attentive. Eating there is an absolute MUST!!!

At first, it seemed like we weren't welcome with our baby and dog. However, a different waiter quickly changed that. The food was really great, high quality, and very tasty! The prices are completely reasonable. Definitely recommend it 😊

Great restaurant. Great service and delicious food. We had the salmon burger and were very satisfied. Unfortunately, we only discovered the restaurant on our last day of vacation. But it's at the top of our list for our next visit to Cuxhaven.

Very nice location at the entrance to Duhnen. We were here several times and were once again delighted with the food. I had Picata Milanese from the daily special. Simply delicious. The service could be a bit better, but that's nothing unusual these days. We've already reserved another table.

You're not allowed to sit outside on the beach promenade with drinks purchased from the adjoining self-service area. However, there's no sign to that effect anywhere, so my wife and I, unsuspecting, found ourselves in a very unpleasant situation. In quick succession, we were reprimanded loudly by two male waitresses, who spoke in the tone of someone who was driving a carousel. A fairly high level of staffing to scare guests away. We've been regular, well-paying spa guests for decades and will be even more careful in our choices in the future.

We stopped in there spontaneously a while ago and were delighted. They had two BBQ burgers and one salmon burger. Generous portions, reasonable prices, and very friendly service. We highly recommend it.

A business model similar to "Extrablatt." Upon entry, we were offered a great seat on the sun terrace. What stood out was the very friendly staff, who immediately provided us with drinks and a menu. The food was plentiful and delicious. The prices are rather high, but reasonable for a location by the lake.

Unfortunately, I was only there briefly to get a Bismarck roll. Friendly service, €5.00 per roll. The topping and remoulade were delicious.

We've been vacationing in Cuxhaven for years. Our first stop is always Murat's Fish Sandwich Bar. The fish sandwiches are simply delicious, and Murat is a very friendly and personable salesman. We always feel very comfortable with him. We can only recommend it.

Wonderful restaurant with super friendly and understanding staff and a lovely ambiance! We were in beautiful Cuxhaven with our family and our 4-month-old puppy, looking for a dog-friendly restaurant. We found a lovely spot inside in a corner with direct access to the outside. Our visibly excited puppy was able to calm down, and we had a relaxing time. A huge thank you to the staff for their understanding and extraordinary empathy!

Redfish fillet on pasta with mussel sauce Large fillet, fried until translucent, pasta al dente (tasted like homemade), sauce probably based on stock (👍) with plenty of fresh mussels. —> level of a good fish restaurant. Overall, 5 stars, of course, thank you! We'd be happy to come back.

Wir kennen dieses Gasthaus seit bestehen- werden es nun aber nicht mehr besuchen. Wir haben mit acht Personen (sechs Erwachsene und zwei Kinder) gegessen. Die Bedienung war nicht bereit für unser schwangeres Familienmitglied auf einer Flasche etwas nachzulesen (lehnte ab und verwies darauf einfach etwas anderes zu nehmen),er traf sogar eine Falschaussage. Hätten wir das so geglaubt, hätte eine schwangere Frau ein Bier mit 0,48% Alkohol getrunken. Das Essen (verschiedene Burger) waren allesamt fast kalt, das Mett nicht durch. Die Bedienung sagte auf unsere Äußerung zu den kalten Burgern „Danke“, keine Entschuldigung und kein Angebot, um den Besuch positiver beenden zu können. Die Größe der Pommesbeilage ist auch gesunken. Für das hungrige Kind fragten wir nach mehr Nudeln, die wir auch zahlen würden, aber keine Flexibilität. Schade, dass die Qualität so -bei relativ teuren Preis- weit nachgelassen hat. Das war es dann für uns mit Björn‘s Beach!

The snack bar, disguised as a beach chair, serves fish sandwiches and chilled bottled drinks. I had a sherry matjes fish sandwich (€5). An interesting shell-shaped roll, even slightly crispy. Delicious mixed greens. Remoulade with fresh herbs and diced gherkins. Two fillets, mild and quite okay, but unfortunately only average quality. Far better matjes can be found in East Frisia, for example. In the restaurant area, I ordered a large dark draft beer (Krombacher, €6). Although I indicated twice when ordering that I wanted a dark beer, the waiter unfortunately brought me a glass of pale pilsner. My immediate complaint was immediately accepted, and after a short wait, the Krombacher Dunkel arrived. Björn's fish soup (€12) came in a generously filled large bowl and contained a generous amount of various seafood, many large pieces of juicy salmon, as well as some calamari rings, baby octopus, shrimp, and many very small crabs, among other things. It was very lightly seasoned; a little chili, for example, would have been beneficial for a more full-bodied flavor. The bread served with it had a noticeably dry crust, but still had a soft crumb inside.

We ate there for the first time by chance three years ago. Three times a week. The following year, we ate there four times a week. And this year, we only made a day trip, just to eat the most amazing plaice fillets. Leaving home in the morning and returning home in the evening. We drove 1,400 km just to enjoy some good food. We'll do it again. Keep up the good work, great food and friendly service!!!

The food is really good: the food is fresh, tasty, hot, and attractively presented. Even when it's busy, the kitchen works quickly – but service can take a while. It's often very noisy, and the tables are quite close together, which makes the atmosphere a bit stressful for us quieter guests. But anyone who likes a lively atmosphere will definitely feel at home here. A particularly positive aspect: The small, beautifully designed children's area, where the little ones can keep themselves entertained. Probably not a regular spot for us personally, but definitely recommended for fans of a lively beach atmosphere.

Short and sweet: Ordered 2 penne with salmon/spinach and cream sauce. No trace of cream sauce, unfortunately just fat! Completely low in salt, tasted of nothing. You'd have to look for fish, too! Ordered 1 kids' menu fish fillet with fries. There were bones in the fish fillet...that can happen, but it shouldn't be on the kids' menu! Ordered 1 chicken burger with fries and 1 salmon burger with fries. They were okay.... So they didn't deserve a better rating, sorry.

The best fish sandwiches in Duhnen, and the staff are usually friendly. Unfortunately, they didn't sell us a second sandwich (they're amazing!) to go with the fried fish to share between two small children. "We'll be short on them at the end of the month" is a very flimsy excuse. Prices are similar to other nearby stalls.

We ended up at Björns Beach after a day trip to Cuxhaven. We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. The welcome and service were excellent. I think the prices are reasonable for this location. My husband and the kids' food was good; unfortunately, my schnitzel was very greasy and tasted more like a ready-made schnitzel than fresh, and everything was very lightly seasoned. All in all, we had a lovely evening.

Very tasty and good food, the waiters very friendly and attentive, and also up for a joke. At the next table were four elderly "ladies," three of whom were extremely misbehaving and disturbing everyone. The manager then quieted things down for the sake of the other guests. This definitely won't be our last time there! ❤️

Also ich hatte heute 30.07.25 schon einen verregneten Tag, dachte er wuerde besser werden,wenn ich auf die Empfehlung meines Busfahrers hoere,ich rein ins ,,bjoerns beach,,mit einer Freundin,es kam ein soooo hektischer kellner an unserem Tisch ,nach meiner ihn mitgeteilten essensbestellung ,meinte er ob ich denn nicht vorher getraenke haben moechte,ich verneinte und da hat er mir ohne worte zu verstehen gegeben,daß das doch ein Unding ist ,essen ohne trinken ohhhh mann welch eine Straftat, ich habe ihn gesagt das ich nach getraenke wenn gewuenscht von mir fragen wuerde. Die Blicke sagten alles,als wir bezahlen wollten,winkten bzw riefen wir den Kellner mit einem normalklingenden ,,Hallo,, an unserem Tisch,dieser,,aeffte uns nach ,hallo ,hallo,hallo. Wir kamen uns verarscht vor und ich sagte dann ich haette sie ja beim Namen gerufen,aber ich kenn ihren Namen nicht,dieser Blick der mir von oben nach unten zugeworfen wurde,hat mich dazu gezwungen, keinen Cent Trinkgeld zu geben,wofuer bitte ,niiiiiie wieder werde ich dieses Lokal besuchen,uebrigens dieser ja doch gutaussehende kerl ,ist blond ,kurze Haare, blaue Augen,und tattoos und auffallend hektisch

In Döse, there's a waiter named Tristan who's a must-have on staff, as he's incredibly friendly and comes across as very personable. I highly recommend him.
