We can only recommend the ambience and service. The drinks and food were delivered very quickly. The waiters are super friendly. The food was extremely tasty. We now come back there again and again to eat.

The main courses were tasty, but some were a bit cold. Dessert was forgotten in the kitchen. After 45 minutes we asked what was brought to the table, except for one person's dessert. About 25 minutes later the last dish came to the table cold when we went to pay.

More than good, delicious food, price-performance ratio is good - service is top, what more could you want!

We were here for Valentine's dinner in the motorhome and were allowed to stay overnight. Great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, nice, fast, friendly and above all competent service. Modern elegance meets the historically recognizable charm of the old walls with a perfectly modern kitchen. The service staff are polite, helpful and always on hand. We have been there three times in 6 months and are already looking forward to the next few times.

We were there during the week. Portion of bread (6 small slices of baguette), 5 olives, a large amount of aioli and a bowl of salt = €8.50. Doesn't fit. Unfortunately, the waitress wasn't able to adequately account for the drinks we consumed, so we ended up paying €6 more than we actually consumed. In the end we gave up after she had to ask 3 times and the result was still wrong. Unsatisfactory. The food was otherwise good. Nevertheless, we won't be coming back because no attempt was made to offer the customer a solution, even though the mistake was the restaurant's.

We took part in the motorhome event. That was a really nice evening. Jan Fitter took us on a nice, informative tour of the old fish station. Afterwards there was a very tasty 2-course menu and at the end we tried the delicious cocktails. There were 6 campers in total and we all had a really nice evening. We'll definitely be back.👍

The first motorhome dinner that Jan Fitter and his team organized for us was a perfect experience! Great food, delicious drinks and a really nice group of people came together there. Nice location in the former fishing station. Jan explained everything with so much attention to detail, it was super informative. A wonderful breakfast in Jan's other location, the storm surge at the ferry port rounded off the weekend.

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Silvester Diner im Unikat. Bis auf den Service setzen sechs. Das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis passt überhaupt nicht. Viel Geld nur für billiges Essen und ohne Getränke. Unmöglich. Der Gipfel bestand darin, dass wir zum Anstoßen aufs neue Jahr noch nicht einmal ein Glas Sekt bekamen, sondern es extra kaufen mussten. Diese Lokation ist für eine Silvester Feier nicht zu empfehlen.

Great ambience, great food, great staff

We booked the New Year's Eve menu 2024/2025 and are thrilled. The price is absolutely justified, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We'll definitely come back from time to time! A big thank you to the team, a happy new year and for 2025: keep it up!

After consulting by phone, we went there at 9.30 p.m. Apparently tables in the counter area should be free. When we arrived, we were parked in the uncomfortable side room for an hour. Service was so-so. Friendly but bored. It's a shame I know otherwise. DJ plays good music, Dance floor too small to really dance...December 31, 24. Too bad.

Eat your fill of schnitzel at the Christmas party at Unicat. Unfortunately the schnitzels and vegetables came out of the bag frozen. For 32.- it is much better. Unfortunately not again.

Were here for the first time today and are thrilled! The happy hour cocktails were great, the food came super quickly and the portions were just right. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, which made the evening perfect. We would definitely like to come back!

The dishes were all good. Timing and presence of the service must be optimized. And if the temperature of a Jever on tap is two times too warm, it is not enough for full points. I exchanged the first Jever and put the ice cubes for the cola in the second one ;-).

We drove from Bremerhaven without a clear destination in mind and, by sheer luck, stumbled upon this incredible place. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. Both of us ordered different variations of the rump steak, and each was cooked to absolute perfection – tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. The chef clearly knows their way around a grill! Dessert was just as impressive, with each dish delivering a delightful end to our meal. We indulged in chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and a refreshing sorbet – all flawlessly crafted and beautifully presented. The chocolate cake was rich and decadent, the crème brûlée perfectly creamy with that satisfying crack on top, and the sorbet was light and refreshing. It was a lucky find, but we’re already planning a trip back, knowing it’s worth every kilometer from Bremerhaven.

Great restaurant, good food, really good cocktails (note happy hour 😉) Had the Galloway Burger with apparently homemade fries. Only the temperature of the food was a bit lukewarm when it was served. Pleasantly unobtrusive but attentive and quick service. The acoustics are okay, but it wasn't very crowded when we visited. Probably relatively loud when the guest room is full. Many and very nice outdoor spaces are also available. We'll definitely come back when we're in town.

Cozy shop with a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful terrace. Unfortunately, the food is average at best, the schnitzel was disappointing and the pasta with parmesan sauce consisted almost entirely of pasta and hardly any sauce. Other food was tasty, but not great either. The waiters are nice and helpful!

We really enjoyed the currywurst, in a different way, and the unique fish platter. The bacon-wrapped dates on bruschetta with tomato salsa as an aperitif were also excellent. We ended dinner with the warm chocolate cake with the liquid core, a poem! A visit is definitely worth it!

Watched football here last night. The first order went quickly (drinks). After that nothing more, no reaction to my reaction. The tables all around were served and we overlooked. After my wife pulled the waiter's sleeve, we were asked if we could have anything else. I ordered a drink and wanted something to eat. Of course the kitchen was closed and I waited another half hour for my drink. Football or not. But something like that doesn't work. The boss apologized but it was still our last visit here.

It was my first time eating unique food in event catering. I was greeted very friendly. The restaurant looked very appealing from the inside. The outside terrace was also very nice and cozy. The staff were very accommodating. I ate a Galloway burger with unique fries there. The taste was excellent and was beautifully presented. The price-performance ratio was good. Was a nice stay. I'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, I have rarely eaten such bad food as in the unique one. There were four of us and the best thing about the dishes was the spaghetti. Grill plates and chicken burgers were a complete disappointment. The meat resembled the sole of a shoe and that's how it tasted, unfortunately inedible. Prices not justified at all!

Very funny staff, go to the basement to laugh. Eating was fine, but with more weeds on it than anything else. We got the wrong sauces, complained about it and the boss said it wasn't his problem and we should have taken a better look. Food is way too expensive and all for a tooth. They simply take advantage of other restaurants' closing times, which is why they're so expensive. Never again!!!!

So I have to say that it's a really great location and the ambience is great. The service and the drinks are all great, but in my opinion the price doesn't necessarily justify the food. A historic place. Formerly a train station for loading fish, then a brewery and now the best restaurant and best place to celebrate.

We were on vacation in Cuxhaven and the restaurant was advertised in an advertising flyer. We hadn't made a reservation in advance and just wanted to give it a try. We were initially left standing at the entrance until someone came up to us to give us a table. Furthermore, it unfortunately took a very long time for the drink order to be taken and further drink requests were not investigated. The food itself came quite quickly and was also good. However, the service can still be improved

The only thing that could be criticized is that the service staff takes a relatively long time to come to the table once the food has been cleared away. At some point I went to the counter and asked for a waitress to order our drinks. Unfortunately, this was repeated when ordering the invoice. But they also apologized straight away.

Went there with friends, decided on the Asian vegetables and, since I was allergic to sesame, I canceled the sesame. When the food was brought, I was informed that although the food was not topped with sesame (as ordered), the vegetables were fried in sesame oil. The service man then wanted to tell me that I should have known that because sesame is on the menu. However, there was no mention of it being fried in sesame oil. He had the map brought specifically to show me. But there is nothing about the oil there... I then had to argue with two different people because I didn't want to eat any more (after all, my companions had their food and didn't want to wait extra). Long Story Short: Mistakes can always happen. But wanting to blame this "mistake" on me as a guest and in a key... Without words. Two different employees finally talked to me... The store saw me one last time!

We were here today with a larger registered party. Unfortunately it wasn't good at all. There were far too few service staff and everything took an extremely long time. The buffet we ordered was only ready after an hour, at which point everyone had difficulty getting their first drink. They weren't particularly interested in sales, we would have easily consumed three times as many drinks, but the service couldn't keep up. The highlight, however, was when we asked for the door to be opened briefly to ventilate, as the air in the restaurant was unbearable. There were such outrageous answers from the waitress and manager that it was absolutely unprofessional. How one can so consistently lose out on sales is a mystery to me. Our whole group left the restaurant immediately. We left over 2000 euros there, but I ask myself: “What is a customer worth to you?” For me the case is clear - I will no longer set foot in this store.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this year, especially in the area of ​​service. We sometimes wait up to 45 minutes for drinks. The food that was offered to us as a buffet tasted okay. Unfortunately, here too the problem was with a quick refill. All in all a very disappointing evening.

I don't know how to put it. After several positive experiences in recent years, the location has deteriorated massively. Despite a registered group visit and a pre-ordered buffet, the food arrived with a significant delay (+60 minutes), and we sometimes had to wait 45 minutes for drinks. The food was almost not enough. Refills were only made upon request and even then with a delay. With larger groups it quickly becomes stuffy in the restaurant. Unfortunately, even when asked, they refused to open a door to provide fresh air. When the apparently overwhelmed waitress reacted rudely to the criticism presented, we ended our visit. Not recommended.

Unfortunately, that was the worst restaurant visit in a long time. The staff was completely stressed and overwhelmed for inexplicable reasons. As a customer you don't feel welcome. Despite the restaurant being at 50 percent capacity, all processes took a very long time. The beef was very tough, lukewarm and with an above-average amount of cartilage. The noise from the guests had a very negative impact on the ambience. Two years ago we were very positively enthusiastic. Unfortunately, the restaurant has completely fallen into disuse and definitely doesn't warrant a return visit.

It was my second time there and we really enjoyed it. The staff very friendly, accommodating and relaxed. Extra requests were also taken care of immediately. I can only recommend the unique piece.

Been there twice, it's the same twice, the first time I ordered fried potatoes for five but only the amount for three was distributed on the plates. The second time, the meat in the burger was so dry that you could say the noble cow died twice in vain. I would have liked to drink more, but the first drink took half an hour to arrive. Last visit on February 7th, 2024.

Wir waren mit 9 Personen darunter 2 Kinder im Alter von 8 +11 Jahren zum Weihnachtsessen. Das Essen war in Ordnung, leider war für die Kinder außer Pommes ( sehr kleine Portionen ) nichts vorhanden. Ich hätte erwartet, dass es für KINDER auch eine kleine Speisekarte geben würde, was das Bedienungspersonal verneinte. Wir haben den Kindern alle was abgegeben von unseren üppigen Tellern damit sie satt wurden.

Nettes Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist eine Mischung aus Moderne und altem Industriegebäude und besitzt dadurch einen besonderen Charme. Das Personal war freundlich und schnell. Das Essen, Schnitzel, hat sehr gut geschmeckt, war nett angerichtet und die Portion war ausreichend groß. Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Es ist ein sehr schönes und sauberes Restaurant, hatte mit meiner Arbeit hier eine sehr schöne Weihnachtsfeier verbracht.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Unikat und bin einfach begeistert. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön und hat seinen ganz eigenen Stil. Schön, dass es sowas in Cuxhaven gibt. Das Essen war köstlich und auch für Vegetarier und Veganer ist etwas dabei. Es hat ebenfalls Sat gemacht und die Umgebung lädt ein noch etwas dort zu bleiben. Die Mitarbeiter sind stets freundlich und zuvorkommend, was einen doppelt freut, wenn man herzlichen Willkommen ist. Wir kommen wieder, danke.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, gutes Essen, freundliches Personal. Ein schöner Ort für eine entspannte Zeit. Wir hatten sogar das Glück das an diesem Abend Live-Musik gespielt wurde, was es wirklich zu einem rundum gelungenen Abend gemacht hat. Die Band heißt Sofacoustic und ist wirklich hörenswert!

Die Lokation ist der Hammer. Das Essen ist der Hammer und die Leute und das Personal sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich kann das Restaurante sehr empfehlen. Die Preise sind human. Werden dort immer wieder mal hin wenn wir vor Ort sind. Super super
