What a dining experience. What a great and structured service. What a cozy atmosphere. We took a day trip to Cuxhaven! Departure point Helgoland. I wouldn't park there again. 3 hours for 6€ more isn't possible, that's the so-called day ticket. We walked up to the beach. €4.80 if you are not a hotel visitor. There is also a kind of beach "bus" that goes up at certain times if you don't want to/can't walk this route. I can recommend the restaurant, the storm surge to anyone who is nearby. You have a wonderful view of the sea/Elbe. Any time. The staff is super friendly, HOSPITALITY is very important!

Food is okay so far, portions were different sizes for us, sometimes a large schnitzel and the next day much smaller, currywurst not enough sauce and steak fries, for the course, price too high for me, ambience quite ok. Service is attentive and friendly. Maybe we'll go again for a B rehearsal when we're in Cuxhaven.

We were guests at the “Sturmflut” restaurant in Cuxhaven last Easter Sunday. The friendly service and the view of Grimmershörner Bay were positive. The food left a mixed impression. The mushroom cream schnitzel was tasty, but the amount of sauce was very manageable. It wasn't nearly enough for the schnitzel. There was only one mushroom in the sauce. The burgers we ordered were also delicious, but the side dish (steakhouse fries) was also very limited in quantity. We therefore ordered separately immediately after the food was served. Therefore, there can be no question of a good price/performance ratio in our case. It's a shame, we had hoped for more and won't be coming back.

The food was very tasty, there was Labskaus. However, the portion was a bit small. I would definitely eat there again. Only the waiter or boss (?!) was a bit taciturn and seemed a bit unfriendly but okay, that's fine.

Unfortunately, I cannot share the good reviews of my prescriptions. The fish fillet I ordered was full of bones, the fries were not fried with fresh oil and the fried potatoes were burnt. The service was friendly, but overloaded. The ambience was rustic, but it was too warm in the restaurant. Better ventilation would be desirable.

It was great here. Tasty and friendly and small special requests (vegetables on an extra plate) were also accommodated. I had a lovely time and the prices were more than reasonable.

Five of us ate here during our Cuxhaven vacation. The restaurant was full and the staff had a lot to do. Nevertheless, everyone was in a good mood and gave us good advice and service. The food was delicious and filling, both the schnitzels and the burgers. Of the house schnapps, we particularly liked the Flutbrand (Aquavit). We will definitely come back!

Yes, absolutely. The food is good. Price/performance was completely fine. Despite many guests, we were well entertained.

Very tasty food, whether it's breakfast, a snack at lunchtime or in the evening.

Was there for breakfast in a group. The offer is varied: scrambled eggs with crabs, wholemeal rolls, cheese, sausage and ham. Delicious coffee, orange juice. Butter, cream cheese, jam, honey and Nu were packaged in portions, like in the hospital. That doesn't work at all! On the other hand, the service is tireless, well sorted. When the place is full, it can get unbearably loud. Because it is worth visiting the storm surge at the Heligoland ferry pier.

Unfortunately the rump steak on the grill plate was cold. After I complained about this, I got a new one. Rump steak okay, now the chicken schnitzel was partly raw. I think the chef was having a bad day. But no apology whatsoever, or any small compensation. It should also be noted that the plate used for the grill plate is completely unsuitable for cutting and eating. The other dishes we ordered were okay.

I always enjoy being a guest in the storm surge. You feel very welcome there and the food is simply delicious. Whether fish or meat, I always like it. The waitresses are always friendly and attentive. Keep it up 😘

We stood on the slab with our motorhome and got food to take away. Extremely tasty and sufficient! Was packaged great. The service on the phone and also when picking up was really very nice. The restaurant itself was already busy at 6:15 p.m.

Delicious delicious delicious! Starters very tasty; Main courses (fish dishes) were super tasty and the waffle for dessert was absolute ! Hammer! (my personal recommendation with walnut ice cream instead of chocolate ice cream). :) Regular dishes are also available (if someone doesn't want to eat fish). It was terrific and simply delicious - absolutely nothing to complain about from start to finish! on-site parking; great modern atmosphere. To go to the toilet } get a chip at the bar beforehand! ;) In addition, there are various in-house liqueurs etc. to buy.

Very tasty food... It was a real stroke of luck that we ended up here on our weekend trip.

We started a kale tour relatively spontaneously and then booked dinner here. Very flexible and very appealing, despite our bad timing, it ran for half an hour too long, it was just super delicious and very smart from the staff. It was a joy and even for me, not a kale lover, it was great. It brought the whole topic much closer to me. It was a lovely evening and I would definitely recommend it again.

Yes, we can do that with a clear conscience. The staff was more than friendly. From the order (we had small requests about how it would be fried without oil) to the end, everything was great. The best thing we were able to try was the schnapps. We bought it there too. One thing is certain, we will be back. THANK YOU YOU ARE GREAT

Great restaurant with a view of the Cuxhaven/Helgoland ferry pier and the entry of shipping traffic from the North Sea into the North Baltic Sea Canal via Cuxhaven. The food is excellent, the fish dishes are unique. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very cozy. We really enjoy being here and will continue to enjoy great evenings in the storm surge on our next frequent stays in Cuxhaven. Thank you for everything.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel tasted like old fat. Mayonnaise was ordered and still not brought when asked. An invoice was requested and never came. After 20 minutes I went to the counter myself. Don't come back.

I recently had breakfast at Sturmflut and it really wasn't that good. The waitress (an older woman with shorter hair) served us carelessly. As a guest, I felt as if she really didn't want to have guests at all. No friendly hello or anything empathetic and unfortunately she came across as very annoyed. I had the vital breakfast and the rolls were really hard, the fruit unfortunately had a really fishy aftertaste and overall really nothing special. It just wasn't good and not worth the 13.50 at all.

I can recommend, good, plentiful breakfast, friendly conditions/staff. We will definitely be back..

The "small fish pot" soup tasted very good, but at €10.90 it was overpriced in my opinion - I've never paid that much for fish soup before. The fish platter "Große Sturmflut" was good so far, only the grilled vegetables were too well done and also very fatty. The pan fish was also good, unfortunately if you wanted a different side dish, boiled potatoes instead of fried potatoes, you had to pay a separate euro. And that for one person Price of 21.90 euros and a total amount for two people of 73.50 euros. As an operator, I wouldn't deduct a star for that. So I would describe the storm surge as good average and recommend it.

On Sunday we had a table (2 people) reserved at the “Stormflut” restaurant for 5:30 p.m. When we arrived we were surprised to find that only five tables were occupied. So the order was taken relatively quickly. We chose two meat dishes and an appetizer as well as drinks. Wine and beer were served after a short time, the starter was a long time coming. Instead, another employee soon appeared and put the main courses on the table without a word. Inquiries with the first M. revealed that he had “forgotten the starter” - we left it at that. When we asked for a little more mayonnaise shortly afterwards, the second man “threw” it. I handed my wife a sachet of mayo on the counter. - We have never experienced such behavior/behaviour. - The first M. apologized for the “forgotten starter” and added patronizingly that he had not charged the extra charge. The good impression that “STURMFLUT” has made so far has suffered a lot.

Unfortunately the food was cold and there was already a skin on the boiled potatoes. It was said that you could have said something and it would be hot again in 2 minutes...so off to the microwave? No thanks...that was pretty strange. Personally, I wouldn't go there again.

It was nice again. Nobody would expect such a nice restaurant to be in the ticket office. Nice ambience, Nordic-friendly staff, comprehensive but not overloaded menu, nicely decorated dishes.

Had a lovely evening at the “Comedy Night”. I had a currywurst with “steak fries”. The sausage was very good and there was also a small side salad. The fries could have been a little more. Then the price of €12.50 would be appropriate.

View, atmosphere, service, food are just okay. There is a lack of attention to detail, constant effort and great slogans: "We cook with hearts and not with stars" on the wall cannot save everything. A little more attention wouldn't hurt when announcing that it's guests' birthdays. If you order certain breakfasts, you have to be informed that ingredients/contents are missing! As a guest, you are not necessarily allowed to see how offers are adjusted at one table and surcharges are charged at other tables. Baking bread rolls seems to have become an art. The experience I had before at this restaurant was much more positive. 3 stars are overly positive today.

We were there for breakfast. The eggs were completely hard and therefore inedible, there was little choice of sausage and no normal cream cheese (only with pineapple or pepper flavor). The service was also really bad, the lady and the gentleman walked past 10 times without even asking if we would like anything else or let alone clearing it away. We sat there for an hour after breakfast with our dirty dishes in front of our faces. Unfortunately there are few options for breakfast in Cuxhaven, but we still can't recommend it there.

Extraordinary venue for us. The lady who served us was very attentive, very friendly and approachable. Our meals were rich and very well-rounded in terms of taste. We felt very comfortable, so we are already planning another visit! There are always complaining guests, even when we visited. The way I talk/deal with people is how it echoes back 😉 A kind word is good for everyone, even when you're on vacation.

Great restaurant, but we only had a coffee because we were waiting for access to the Helgoland ferry. The food that was distributed at the neighboring table by the very nice waitress looked really tasty.

Nice service, prices are ok, are happy to have breakfast 👍🏽. Just one small thing: the winter garden could have been a little warmer.

We spontaneously went to eat here and were lucky to get a table without a reservation. The chicken breast and salmon burger were outstanding. Plus, it happened quickly. Friendly service rounded off the meal.

We were having breakfast, 12 people were registered and 1 person got sick at short notice so there were 11 of us. I immediately said they could take away 1 place setting. I actually had to pay for 12 people, which I found very petty. The waiter wasn't very attentive and I had to keep asking if something was empty - it was a buffet. So the breakfast was tasty, but by buffet I mean something different. We were very disappointed with the treatment towards us 😞

My tip is to reserve a table. Food very good and tasty, very nice service and really good view. Tip the storm surge liqueurs. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, we also have to deduct stars as we have been coming here to eat here intermittently since it opened. The service has deteriorated significantly here, staff where you worry that you would bother them if you spoke to them. Harsh and unfriendly answers, unfortunately the drinks we ordered didn't even arrive. The food tasted good but was lukewarm and the portions were very manageable (with the salmon with rosemary potatoes, add 2! half small potatoes, that takes courage). Unfortunately, the potatoes that were delivered after the complaint (with the staff rolling their eyes as they left the table) only came back to the table after 15 minutes, only lukewarm, by which time the rest of the plate was already empty and unfortunately there was no trace of rosemary. Conclusion: OK for tourists, they won't come back after their vacation anyway, as a local it's a failure. We won't be coming back.

The food was lukewarm and not completely complete, but tasty. The waiter felt harassed by the guests and made no secret of it… That was very annoying.

We went here for dinner twice during our vacation. The first time we came without a reservation, the second time with one. The first time we had to wait a bit so that the table for two could be prepared. But everything was within the framework and friendly! The second time everything went smoothly.
