Food good, everything good. We were now completely satisfied again. Can you recommend it? A little tip: you should reserve a table in advance during main meal times. Otherwise no chance.

Nice restaurant on the Heligoland pier. Service was very friendly, coffee and cake were great, food looked great. Prices normal. Recommendation 👍 Addition: The main courses are also great. Try the house schnapps and they are very tasty (also available in the local shop or online). We keep coming back and slowly working our way through what's on offer...👍👍👍

We were really looking forward to fish. Unfortunately it was drowned in fat, as were the fried potatoes. The waitress probably didn't really feel like it either. Food was slammed onto the table without comment. Nope, I don't have to go there again.

Unfortunately I had an old fish on my plate, it was hard and slightly gray, went back... fish fillet mind you 🙄

We have been coming here for several years (whenever we are in Cuxhaven). Whether for a meal, for a “coffee when you arrived in Cuxhaven” or after a walk... It's always wonderful, the staff is courteous and we're never disappointed with the food. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately very sleepy, unmotivated staff. Until you got a breakfast menu, you sat for about 20-30 minutes and the waitress walked past you several times and preferred to clear tables. Then we got a card, which only came from the side from the waitress. "The kitchen hasn't changed the breakfast menu yet". Another 10 minutes later we finally received a card and could order. The breakfast itself was delicious but it didn't blow your mind. It's a shame, you could do more with it

Delicious marzipan cake and really nice staff. The restaurant at the harbor in Cuxhaven is really recommended.

Good morning, We were in this restaurant on Saturday. Unfortunately the staff didn't really notice us (we are older). After it was explained to us which card was valid at which time of the day 🤔 and we realized that we wanted to eat at the wrong time of day, we decided on a cool drink. That would be nice to slap on the table for us. Now we wanted to pay with the card and it was explained to us that our turnover (8.45 euros) was not enough for a card payment. This payment method was only possible from a turnover of 10 euros. Dear operator of this restaurant, We really tried to understand your "different menus" and the associated times, but we didn't find anything about card payments from 10 euros anywhere. Thank you for your gastronomic offer in the restaurant and on the beach, but you feel a bit ripped off... But you are well on your way to achieving your 10 euros in sales yourself with your prices... and then you can set 20 euros in sales for card payments.

We were there as holidaymakers and unfortunately the service was absolutely unfriendly and super slow. Unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable, we were often passed over and I had to get menus myself. For a restaurant in a holiday destination it really has to be better...the food wasn't bad, but that was all...

I had a little refreshment before crossing to Helgoland. Price-performance ratio is right. 👍🏻

We went out to eat today based on a recommendation and as far as the food was concerned it wasn't a bad decision. The fish was first class, as were the burgers and the currywurst was good. The staff, however, could have been a little more on the ball. We sat for about 15 minutes with five people before the first one came and at least brought us a card. But we weren't allowed to order there yet. That took another time. After ordering, the food and drinks came quite quickly. The reordering of drinks was then forgotten. But as I said: the food is good - the staff is first class and there is room for improvement.

Good selection of drinks, friendly service, menu extensive and varied, dishes tasty and plentiful, prices okay. Update 2023: In contrast to the previous year, the quality of the food has decreased, the portion of meat in the chicken curry was smaller, the indefinable yellow spots on the meat were probably pieces of pineapple 😡 At the "Brotzeit Sturmflut" the pumpernickel slices were already bent like a bow, the toasted house bread would probably have been toasted hours ago, soft and chewy 😡 Update 2024: Quality back to its old, good level, Very nice service, everything is reasonably priced

Nice restaurant at the harbor pier of the Heligoland ship at Grimmershörnbucht. Delicious food, fair prices and MEGA DELICIOUS LIQUEUR 😃👌 Be sure to try salt caramel or salty licorice 👏👏👏

Were here on the Easter holidays because we could only reserve a table here. When we arrived our table wasn't available. The two dishes I chose were out. I actually wanted to eat fish, but that was the end of it. At the next table there was a cheerful, cheerful party group with the right volume. The service was overwhelmed by the rush. The restaurant has more of the charm of a tennis hall bar. We were disappointed and will not be returning.

Food was delicious 😋 and plentiful. Ambiance was nice, inside and out. Service was quick and friendly. So a clear recommendation 😉. gladly again.

My wife and I each had the large fish plate "Big Storm Surge". There was nothing to complain about. Good portion, everything very tasty, nice atmosphere and friendly service. I just don't like the Jeverbier, but there is at least one other beer on the menu here too. We can recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately, as a young person from Hamburg, the fish dish didn't appeal to me. I'm used to something different. So unfortunately we won't be coming back. It is strongly recommended to reserve a table...

Super tasty food and good service. We recommend.

Very good fish dishes, large portions and reasonable prices, the salmon was buttery soft, a dream, the storm surge burger was unfortunately quite small and dry. The toilets are at the back, you need a coin from the service. But clean.

Unfortunately the service was absolutely unfriendly. One had the impression that it would be unreasonable to ask the waitress to do her job. Some orders were delivered incorrectly, but they were very tasty. When the bill was supposed to be split between several parties, the service was again very incompetent. Several invoices were incorrect. Any service took an enormous amount of time. The outside terrace with a view of the Heligoland branch was a pleasant atmosphere.

As a group of 8, we were looking for a relaxed meal today. Unfortunately, our entire group was completely ignored and treated very unfriendly by the waitress. After almost 35 minutes the drinks were finally taken. Although the food was delicious, the poor service completely ruined the day. Such treatment is unacceptable. Never again!

The beer bar Die Sturmflut is an averagely good restaurant in Cuxhaven. Here you can get a good fish plate or, alternatively, one or two nice burgers. In summer you can sit on the solid terrace with a partial view of the “big pots” and the “to go” hunger has also been taken care of in times of Corona. It's always a good and easy place to go, especially if you're cycling, because it's right next to the ferry port and on a cycle route. The parking options are worth mentioning, as there are plenty of free parking spaces awaiting you here. Price performance is very good! Update!!! July 25, 2024 Today we visited the restaurant with a group of 8 and found a place on the outside terrace. Unfortunately the service was an ABSOLUTE disaster! We can write a book about unfriendliness, rudeness and snappy answers. The drink took 30 minutes after arriving at the restaurant, the food was, as always, very tasty, but even continuing to drink seemed like asking too much. The lady who served the outside terrace is completely out of place here, unfortunately we won't be coming back! Splitting the final invoice into 4 parties was also not desirable and additional items were simply written onto the invoice that were not there when we ordered. When asked, again only curt answers. A pity !!! Very unfortunate!!!

I'm happy to pay the increased prices in the restaurant if I get the appropriate value in return. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case in the Sturmflut restaurant on our evening. The food was okay, but nothing more. The plates were, apart from one, carelessly arranged. The boiled potatoes, for example, were simply “thrown” onto the plate and had gray spots on them. Remoulade and sauces tasted like ready-made products. The service seemed a bit stressed and was sometimes rough in tone. The food was presented at the end of the table and had to be distributed from there. What was also negatively noticeable was that a fee of 1 euro was charged per change, even for a 27 euro dish when changing from fried potatoes to fries. I wouldn't say a word about any of this in a factory canteen, but if I put almost €200.00 on the table in a restaurant, I expect more. P.s. The toilets were an absolute disgrace, dirty and with the floor full of toilet paper, plus the smell was almost unbearable.

The Sturmflut is a cozy restaurant. We had dinner with a large group of people. When my friend mistakenly received the burger with onions (intolerance), she was given a new burger upon request. Big plus!

Today was the first time and certainly not the last time we ate here. Come to Cuxhaven so often. The staff was very friendly and we would like to thank you very much for bringing our meal forward. We will definitely come back more often now.

Waren am 1.7.24 dort essen war super, alle super nett dort, preislich auch super. Super auch der hinweis das es ein Laden gibt richtung cuxhaven Innenstadt / gegenüber der wilma. Dort kann man auch die liköre probieren und viele andere schöne dinge kaufen. WICHTIG: fragt nach der geschichte hinter dem name sturmflut. Super interessante geschichte die sich im laden wiederspiegelt

The food is quite ok but slightly overcooked. Ate a plate with two different fried fish, fried potatoes, fried vegetables together with some garlic sauce in a bowl. The hygiene does not seem to be the best among the serving staff. Unfortunately! Also would have looked nicer and fresher if EVERYONE was uniformly dressed in the company T-shirt and not someone in a long-sleeved shirt and the next in a hoodie. Thanks for the visit.

The service was poor and my request for no tomatoes on the burger was skillfully ignored. Also, the steak wasn't cooked through. However, it is a pleasant place to eat.

For the toilet you need a token from the counter, which you get for free as a guest. There was no toilet paper, unfortunately the toilets were not clean (around 2 p.m.).

Staff very unfriendly, the first large Alster was drunk immediately after a long wait. We still didn't have the new one we ordered when we finished eating. There are other things to note. I don't feel like it anymore and won't go there anymore No Labskaus at 1:30 p.m., has to be redone first..... great planning.

It was delicious. We go home full and happy. The condition was very committed. Point deduction: the toilet smelled very unpleasant.

Very unfriendly boss!!! We have now visited the storm surge 3 times within 6 weeks. The staff is very friendly, but the boss probably doesn't want to have guests and won't be visiting the restaurant anymore, it's a shame. The burger was better too.

I can't recommend the breakfast. On June 2nd If the male waiter didn't try very hard, he slammed the breakfast plates carelessly onto the table. The scrambled eggs looked really strange (like noodles) and were served lukewarm, the egg for the vital breakfast arrived cold. Little cheese, little sausage and presented carelessly to the eye. I had promised more of it, but unfortunately I didn't like it.

Update, Saturday June 8th, 2024!!! The dark-haired waitress could work on her friendliness and her desire to work. The remaining piece of cake was divided by 2 and was therefore small for the increased price! This is now the 4th time in a row where the service is not the best. Overwhelm at every corner. The shop has become a typical tourist shed 🤷🏻‍♀️

We had dinner there on Saturday. The waiter was overwhelmed and unfriendly. The food was ok.

Not a hit but you can sit outside. Service is friendly but very incompetent, everything takes a long time. You have to ask until you are served. An Expresso and a coffee were ordered, unfortunately the service had to be run again because the whole milk was missing. It took a while. After 10 minutes you went into the shop yourself, where only two people were sitting at the checkout. The waitress was busy with the checkout, stopped and first calmly filled your dessert bowl with yoghurt. Finally you got the whole milk and paid straight away ,Coffee is cold now. Thank you for this wonderful service, where the customer comes last.

Ich war Chr. Himmelfahrt dort alleine zum Abendessen. Super nette Bedienung und das Essen war toll. Daraufhin zwei Tage später in Begleitung wieder zum Abendessen dort . Dachte wäre im falschen Lokal. Der Kellner eine Katastrophe… haben ernsthaft die versteckte Kamera gesucht. Der Tisch dreckig, Besteck dreckig und das Essen war alles andere als gut. Sorry aber ging gar nicht!!!!

After a crossing from Helgoland and with a car trip to the Netherlands ahead of us, we had dinner here before we continued our journey. Atmosphere is informal and enjoyable. The food was more than enough and tasted great. We saw that many regular guests from the area came to eat, a good sign!

The redfish fillet was outstanding. Definitely worthy of the price. Also recommended is the grilled vegetables. We are not from Cuxhaven, but if we are here again, we will definitely come back! Best regards

Ich war zweimal zu Gast und habe sehr leckeren Fisch gegessen. Der Service war gut und es gab trotz starker Belegung kaum Wartezeiten. Was für mich enttäuschend war: Im Lokal wir für Grünkohl mit Pinkel geworben, obwohl es bei meinen Besuchen keinen gegeben hat.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food. Even though the restaurant is empty, one person is not welcome to eat. With the sentence in 30 minutes everything is full but no reservation sign. Sorry, I will no longer come as an occasional guest, even with two people. Oh, the expulsion was very unfriendly

We were there for the first time...and we are all from Cuxhaven...so we know how to get fish in a restaurant...but I would like to start with the hospitality...which unfortunately wasn't that great...the bad and stressed mood was clearly noticeable! It started with a small menu... which was then changed to a large one at our request... with the information that there was no steak or meat platter! OK, that wasn't a problem for us...but you had the feeling...when you said just give the guests the small menu, that we were tourists who wanted to be processed quickly! That was really good! The friendliness really left a lot to be desired! When the dish came, the order didn't come as ordered! If you order redfish file, you can always include a bone, no problem...but the fish was full of it...unfortunately everything on the plate was lukewarm and almost cold in the middle of the fish! Of course it doesn't taste good! And if I pay that much money, I expect to taste the quality! When the staff asked if everything tasted good...and I honestly expressed my opinion about it, all I received was a smile and a statement to the other guests as to whether anyone else had anything to complain about! Sorry, but then as staff I don't ask if everything was good...if honest opinions aren't wanted! That was a blast for me! And sassy! It's good that we now know that we won't be eating there again! I wouldn't even just drink something there because of the friendliness and atmosphere!
