Waren in Cuxhaven und haben uns nach einem Fischrestaurant umgeguckt. Übers Netz auf dieses gestoßen. Richtig urig und verdammt gut besucht. Ist im Hafengebiet, nicht gerade schön gelegen, aber sonst alles toll. Viele verschiedene Fischgerichte. Habe die Fischsuppe sehr genossen. Angebotener Tagesfisch war gut, reichlich und preiswert. Gut das sie auch gutes lokales Bier anbieten.

Was soll man sagen, der Fisch war sehr lecker; die Tageskarte mit super Angeboten; die Bedienung überaus freundlich; immer einen Besuch wert.

Super leckeres Essen, freundliche Mitarbeiter. Restaurant ist gut besucht, Wartezeiten sind ok! Die Location ist groß, Ambiente schon. Kommen wieder!

Terrific! Everything was perfect! Arrived, waited briefly for the service to see if a table was available (some people are very bold and selfish and don't understand that this sort of thing is part of good upbringing) We were able to order quickly and received our delicious fish after a short wait. Nach Einem Jahr wieder auf leckeres Essen in der "Kl. Fischkiste" gefreut. Und dann diese Enttäuschung. In der Speisekarte lobt man sich "Fleisch können wir auch " Nein, können Sie nicht. Weder Schweinemedaillons noch Hähnchenbrust, war dieser Koch in der Lage zu zubereiten. Beides war viel zu lange gebraten, also trocken. Im vorrigen Jahr waren die Champions in einer leckeren Rahmsoße dazu, dieses Mal die Champions etwas mit Fleischsaft und 3 Tropfen Soße. Der Beilagensalat, vorriges Jahr eine Augenweide. Verschiedene Salatsorten, ein separates Gläschen mit Dressing, köstlich. Dieses Jahr überwiegend Eisbergsalat mit Braunen Stellen, und Strunk. Ein Kleiner Klecks Dressing. Ist natürlich Eine günstige Salatvariante. Und dann zum stolzen Preis von 6,- Euro. Das im Laufe der MWST- Erhöhung, die Preise angezogen haben versteht man ja noch. Aber dann auch noch Qualitätseinbußen hinnehmen zu müssen, ist nicht in Ordnung.

This was the second time we've been there. The food was always very good. It didn't take long either. However, the service was not very fast in 2023 and 2024. "I'll be with you soon" when ordering felt like it took forever. You had to ask several times to pay. Unfortunately, one table also serves up to 4 people. The whole thing seems to be a bit confused. Since we have noticed it for two years now, as have friends who were there independently of us, and other guests were always slightly confused and slightly annoyed looking for waitresses, it seems that there is still some catching up to do here. Otherwise highly recommended!

We decided on this restaurant at a quarter to seven in the evening. When we called to make a reservation, we were told that there were enough seats available. That was also the case. The food, a fish dish and two meat dishes, was very attractively prepared and also very tasty. The only drawback: neither on the HP nor on the phone was it stated that the kitchen was only open until 7:30 p.m. This was only apparent on a board in front of the restaurant. We were lucky that we were there at 7:15 p.m., other guests after us were no longer so lucky.

Vanuit ons verblijf van B&B Cuxhaven was het amper twintig minuten wandelen naar dit restaurant. De zeer vriendelijk bediening geeft een vlotte service. Een mooi uitgebreide kaart aan visgerechten. Tijdens de zomer raad ik aan om een tafel buiten te nemen, in plaats van binnen. Binnen heerst er een zeer warme temperatuur. Hier mag wel airco voorzien worden. Bijkomend is het interieur niet bepaald om te blijven zitten. Een goed restaurant voor gezinnen, waar de kinderen in een ingerichte hoek kunnen spelen.

The ambience of the restaurant is quite okay. The following dishes were ordered: -1 mixed salad -1 boatswain's plate -1 redfish with remoulade and fried potatoes -1 large beer -1 large apple spritzer ———— at €66.20 A mixed salad was ordered as a starter, which was extremely small and quite expensive at €6.00. This was refined with sunflowers/pine nuts, which no longer had any bite or were not even crunchy. (Congratulations from the bag mix). However, when the main courses were served, I thought a children's plate would be placed in front of me. The different types of fish (redfish, limandes, plaice and pollack), of which very small portions were served, were relatively tasteless, only the plaice and the redfish could be guessed at. The “remoulade” tasted like finely pureed coleslaw salad (ready-made salad). The mini portion of fried potatoes was very bland and not really well fried. The portion of potato salad, which was also small, tasted like a refined ready-made salad. Sorry, but every fish snack bar/cart in and around Cuxhaven serves better fish or quality at much cheaper prices. Simply a must for Cuxhaven visitors. Delicious food in manageable quantities. Well prepared and served by very attentive staff. Would be happy again at any time and can only be recommended to lovers of maritime cuisine.

Sicher keine gelernten Fachkräfte, laufen im Lokal herum ohne was hin oder her zu tragen, wir mussten an den Tresen gehen um trotz vielfacher Aufforderung zahlen zu können... Keine Referenz...

For 10 years it has been a must to eat here at the beginning and end of your vacation. I'm not a fish fan, but in the fish box I become one. So fresh and so delicious!

The restaurant is pretty and a great play area for children. The staff is friendly when dealing with the guests, although one more point remains to be mentioned here. In my opinion, the food does not correspond to the price quoted. You get a lot more for your money in Cuxhaven if you go somewhere else. I have alternatives in my other reviews. We had two children's meals and two plaice fillets with fried potatoes and bacon. The plaice was okay, but could have been seasoned better. The fried potatoes were very manageable. There was no tartar sauce, as is mandatory elsewhere. With the children's meals we had fries as a side dish, which were okay in terms of quantity, but significantly less than on the Poetion fries without anything. Ketchup and mayo were requested when ordering and then served in a bottle. So far so good. The surprise came with the bill: for the bottles of mayo and ketchup that were placed on the table, we had to pay twice for ketchup and once for mayo because the children had expressed their wish. Apart from the fact that ketchup and mayo are simply included with the fries in children's meals and should definitely be included at the prices quoted, I think it's a rip-off to charge for ketchup twice, even though a bottle is simply placed on the table. Tip: Order only for one child. The second child can also help himself from the bottle. The soups ordered with it were ambivalent. While the crab soup was very tasty and highly recommended, the fish soup had plenty of ingredients but was unfortunately not well seasoned. Conclusion: Overall, unfortunately too expensive. You can eat good fish, but there are better places in Cuxhaven for the same price.

Please people, please go there! They have THE BEST fish sandwiches in the entire country! Price-performance ratio is great, the taste and the quantities are simply unbeatable! We ordered salmon rolls there, which cost €7, but were topped with easily 120-150 grams of freshly caught salmon! Simply brilliant and 100% recommended!

Yes, I can recommend the restaurant... the food was very good... the only thing that wasn't so nice was that it was NOT on the menu that the spaghetti was served with parmesan 😞... because I don't like it. ...but I got a new dish without any problems. And even a small, delicious salad as an apology... Maybe a suggestion for improvement ""update the menu OR add extra parmesan cheese"". We would love to come back on our next vacation 👍😀

I ate fish goulash and my husband ate a very large piece of pollack fillet in beer batter with boiled potatoes. Delicious. The pollack fillet was fried exactly on point. The fish counter is also highly recommended. The restaurant also sells fish products. Quality great. From now on, when we are in Cuxhaven, we will only go there.

Haben versucht dort anzurufen und es geht niemand ans Telefon, keine Bandansage . Finger wund gewählt. Nun habe ich erfahren das es Freitags auch kein Frühstück mehr gibt . Wir orientieren uns jetzt um und gehen weder dort Frühstücken noch Mittagessen noch Fisch kaufen. Wer es nicht mehr nötig hat . Haben auch mit anderen gesprochen die es auch nicht schön finden.

There is very tasty fresh fish to eat there

I was here again recently in the little fish box and I was thrilled. For me, the plain redfish (without pannade) with butter sauce is the best thing you can do with a redfish. Perfectly cooked and simply delicious. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. During the day, the small fish box also offers take-away food or smaller dishes to eat on site in a separate restaurant section, for those who might just want to eat a fish roll (the herring rolls are excellent, by the way ;)). So for me full marks for this great restaurant.

Bought some fish for home yesterday. Everything was delicious!!! There was about 200g of crab salad Unfortunately, we only discovered when we got home that we had paid around €16 for this. Unfortunately, there was no small warning about the price, as was usual with the old owner.

Nice fish restaurant on Bremerhaven's fish mile. Service was quick and friendly, even though the store was packed at around 2 p.m. on a Sunday. Ate well and learned that Limandes is not my fish. In terms of price, fish is a bit more expensive these days. Had admiral plate. Gladly again.

We've been there several times. Unfortunately, price/performance has decreased significantly in the last 2 years. If the price increases significantly, which is more or less understandable, then the quality must at least remain the same. Fish watery and tasteless, fried potatoes very fatty. A pity!!!

Delicious, fresh fish plate, crabs, shrimp skewers, limandes, plaice and fantastically fried salmon. That was actually worth the 27 euros. I can only recommend dining there.

When looking for a restaurant for dinner we ended up at this one and all I can say is that we were satisfied. The service was friendly and quick, the restaurant was full and there was still room for us. So the starter was the crab soup from Cuxhaven and the main course was the plaice with bacon. Both very tasty. In addition to the plaice there was a delicious little mixed salad with tangerines and pumpkin seeds and other seeds (who knows all the seeds?) with dressing that you can dose yourself. The restaurant has an ambience that matches the theme. We liked it and above all, it tasted very good. You don't need the bread that comes with the soup (my personal opinion)
