We had dinner at Iljan's again today. And we found out that today was the last day. Unfortunately it is closing, we will miss him and his employees and of course also his delicious food. We wish him and his family all the best for the rest of his life. Kind regards from Papenburg

Great food, tastes very tasty, and fresh ingredients, staff is very friendly, they take the time to have a drink and have a chat. Cocktails are also highly recommended, I was here with a friend for 2 days in a row and will definitely come back.

Very beautiful old historic building, be sure to reserve! We had a super friendly waiter who also knew how to entertain! Good beer and delicious food! After a long time at my friend's, the four of us tried eel there and I really liked it because it was young and not so greasy. I would also order eel next time! It was a very nice stay at Spieker! Finally sitting outside "by the sea" again...

Nice restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea! Really cozy inside too! Sat on the terrace and were served by a very nice lady. Drinks prices were ok! My wife had also tried very tasty kibbelinge juicy fish with Croser breading! Unfortunately I was disappointed with my Labskaus, quite a small portion and not tasty either. Mine was most likely made with corned beef and there wasn't much of a side dish for the price. I should have ordered something else! The spaghetti with prawns smelled very good and the portion was decent and was ordered several times! We sat inside later and treated ourselves to an aperol! Despite the Labskau, a very nice stay and the evening, especially the sunset, was great!

Everything was fine, only the passage was very tight.

Unfortunately it has been completely renovated. The charm is gone. Price/performance very unsatisfactory

On February 15, 2025 we were guests at Apicius for the first time. We thank you for a very good service and an excellent and tasty menu. Every course was special and prepared with attention to detail. For each course there was a small card with the respective dish. A nice memory. The wine accompaniment and the cremant were also top notch. What was special were the surprise courses in between and the delicious selection of bread. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and not aloof. We'll be back.
