Sehr sehr leckerer Kuchen, guter Kaffee, freundlicher Service und sehr angenehme Location mit Blick auf das Zwischenahner Meer!

Sehr freundliches Personal 👍 Eine kleine Speisekarte mit Leckereien für den kleinen Hunger zwischendurch. Was wir probiert haben, war super lecker! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder 😊

Ein Bierchen geht hier immer gut runter, plus gute Aussicht

Direkt am See, freundliche Bedienung, ich hatte Matjes mir Schwarzbrot, und Salat. Der Lachs zerging richtig auf der Zunge 10 Sterne.

Bin am Zwischenahner Meer aufgewachsen. Hatten 30 Jahre das Bootshaus beim alten Offizierskasino. Heute Torfforschung. Leider alles von einem Grossinvestor aufgekauft. Wir kennen die Schänke zum Wels seit ihrer Entstehung. Die Wirtin Tanja ist einmalig. An ihr können sich alle Gastromiebetriebe am Meer ein Beispiel nehmen.

„Die Küche hat keinen Senf“. So die Bedienung am 10.07.26. Aber Mettwurst wird serviert. Die Tischreservierung geht nach Gusto: 2 Gruppen saßen draußen und zogen widerspruchslos bei zunehmenden Wind an reservierte Tische drinnen um. Uns wurde dieser Service nicht angeboten. Aber wir sind ja nur Touristen, die seit 10 Jahren ca. 2-3x jahrlich hier einkehrten. Zum Glück gibts Alternativen.

Schönes Restaurant / Cafe / Kneipe direkt am Wasser. Das Essen war frisch und lecker. Preise angemessen und eine sehr nette Bedienung.

Zum Essen kann ich keine Abgaben machen da wir nur etwas getrunken haben. Aber Latte Macchiato und der Eiskaffee waren sehr. Man kann hier sehr schön mit Blick auf das Meer sitzen. Noch ein Hinweis meine Frau sagte, das es im Restaurant sehr gut gerochen hat und wir sicherlich nochmal zum Essen hierher kommen werden.

Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Matjes und der Salat waren lecker, das Schwarzbrot leider nicht.

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend vor Ort und haben ohne Wartezeit einen Tisch bekommen. Die Ofenkartoffel war ganz gut. Das Sour-Cream war sehr großzügig, die Proteinbeilage dagegen recht knapp bemessen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist miserabel, in der Umgebung leider normal. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Location ist schön gelegen, etwas ruhiger und bietet eine angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre.

Wir fühlen uns bei Tanja mit ihrer Crew immer sehr wohl. Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und die Preise sind angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Schänke zum Wels liegt direkt am Zwischenahner Meer. Der Ausblick ist wunderschön. Der Service ist sehr gut, die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und zügig. Die Atmosphäre ist geprägt von Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit. Die Speisekarte ist saisonal und regional gehalten. Die große amerikanische Jukebox ist ein echter Hingucker. Bin dort seit vielen Jahren sehr gerne zu Gast.

Kleines aber stilvolles Lokal mit toller Terrasse mit Blick auf den See. Kuchen scheint selbstgemacht und war sehr lecker. Das Servicepersonal oder Besitzer waren sehr freundlich, fix und aufmerksam. Was heute eher selten der Fall ist. Kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes Café direkt am BZ Meer. Barrierefrei. Tolle Terrasse und sehr freundliches Team. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

A very quaint pub, with very friendly service. The food selection isn't huge, but it's absolutely sufficient. Our favorite choice is the Smokie herring. The location, right by the sea, is fantastic.

Very good. Hot summer days don't stand a chance. North facing. It's ideal. Therefore, parasols aren't necessary. The tarte flambée is very good. Service is friendly and quick. Definitely recommended.

For me, this was last year's discovery... somewhat hidden away... with a lawn in front of the house with seating. You look out over Lake Zwischenahner and feel like you're on vacation. A jetty beckons you to step out onto the water... at the end, there's a bench. It can get a bit windy on the terrace... fantastic on hot days. Inside, rustic, cozy decor... friendly service – we highly recommend the baked potato.

A very nice restaurant with extensive opening hours and a very nice outdoor area. Unfortunately, there was nothing left to eat on Sunday evening; everything was sold out. But everything was available again on Monday. The eel dishes are very tasty and relatively inexpensive. Friendly service. Many locals also like to go here.

Good, but not with children... Since nothing else is open on the waterfront on Mondays, we came here spontaneously. The view of the water was super beautiful. The service was friendly, but seemingly alone, which led to long waits. The food for us adults was excellent. Only the selection and execution of the children's dishes wasn't so great. We opted for scrambled eggs with toast for our daughter. We asked for ketchup: we don't have any ketchup!!! The scrambled eggs arrived and they were studded with chives, which, of course, wasn't listed anywhere. Greens in a children's dish? And no child needs a salad bouquet on the plate with oil and vinegar like the adults have. Perhaps they should rethink the children's menu. Conclusion: As an adult, you can really spend a lovely summer evening here, but I would absolutely not recommend it with children.

Nice ambiance. The food tastes good. The menu is relatively small. The service is friendly. The prices are reasonable.

I was there with friends yesterday and ordered a large glass of East Frisian tea. As I was about to drink the rest of the glass in one big gulp, I suddenly had a piece of glass in my mouth and almost choked. When I went to the waitress with it, all I got was "oh, we'll pay attention to that in the future." When paying, I had to point out that I wasn't paying for the tea, and the only response I got was "oh, okay." I received no apology or any other kind of accommodating gesture; overall, the staff was very unimpressed by the fact that a piece of glass in a drink can be quite dangerous. Mistakes can happen, but the way they handled it really irritates me. I probably won't go there again and unfortunately can't recommend it to anyone.

A restaurant as it should be. Recommended even for a spontaneous visit. I definitely recommend my North Sea crab black bread with scrambled eggs.

Small, cozy pub right on the pier of Lake Zwischenahner. A clear menu with something for everyone. The ham and bread are plentiful and of good quality, served on a decorative wooden board. I had the excellent maneuver plate with eel, scrambled eggs, bread, and butter: super delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Updated July 25: Just enjoyed a wonderful strawberry sundae, charmingly served. Excellent service, even though it was very busy.

I visited this wonderful restaurant yesterday with my best friend. It offers a fantastic view of Lake Zwischenahner from the terrace. We went there first for coffee and then again for dinner after a walk by the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The service, atmosphere, food, and drinks were unbeatable. We'll be back. Thank you. 😊

So everyone can evaluate the price increase for themselves but I do not think it is appropriate to increase the prices by around 30 percent

Great! After a long hike, we visited the Schänke zum Wels today. We had an excellent chili con carne there. The chili had just the right amount of spice for us. It was served with a fresh baguette. For dessert, we had a small tarte flambée with apple, cinnamon, and sugar. Absolutely delicious. We would especially like to mention the extremely friendly service staff. One of their specialties is the fresh waffles they offer. You can enjoy the food with a view of Lake Zwischenahner. Plenty of outdoor seating. We'd love to come back!

Leider wurden in den letzten Monaten 2x die Preise erhöht! Chilli für € 13,50 und Aperol für € 9,50 sind schön sehr hochpreisig!! (man bedenke. die Mwst in der Gastronomie wurde auf 7% gesenkt!) Ansonsten ein sehr schöner Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

Gutes Eis und leckere Waffeln aber ein sehr zerstreuter Service. Es dauerte alleine 20 Minuten, bis überhaupt jemand an den Tisch kam. Ein Eis, eine Waffel, eine Tasse Kaffee und ein alkoholfreies Weizen waren schnell bestellt. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten kamen Eis und Kaffee und zumindest das Besteck für die Waffel. Auf die Frage nach der Waffel und dem Bier kam ein knappes "kommt gleich". Wieder 20 Minuten später kam dann die Waffel. Mein Kaffee war mittlerweile kalt, das Eis fast gegessen, der Rest geschmolzen. Wieder erfolgte die Frage nach dem Weizenbier - die Antwort "kommt gleich". Wieder 15 Minuten später war es und genug - rein ins Lokal, die Rechnung verlangt und gegangen. Auf meine Frage, ob man davon ausgehen könne, dass das Weizenbier nicht mehr kommt, kam keinerlei Antwort. Dabei schien man Zeit und Personal zu haben, denn die freien Tische draußen wie drinnen wurden geputzt, als wäre es ein OP-Saal. Sauberkeit ist immer gut, aber das mache ich, wenn alles andere erledigt ist. Für mich ein Touri-Hotspot, der von Durchreisen lebt, die nie wieder kommen.

Wunderschön direkt am See gelegen, allerdings in einem gruseligen Wohnblock. Aber man sollte den Blick auf den See richten, dann sieht man das Haus nicht. Zum Kaffee auf der Terrasse ganz gut, der Kuchen (Auswahl zwischen zwei Sorten) mittelmäßig. Die Bedienung deutlich überlastet und überfordert, eilte mit Speisen mehrfach quer über die Terrasse und suchte, wer es wohl bestellt haben könnte. Aber bestimmt lernfähig und auch ganz nett. Also insgesamt mit viel Potential nach oben.

A paradise of bliss, with friendly service, good food and no disturbing music. And free of charge, the Zwischenahner Meer in an evening atmosphere on your doorstep!

Beautiful view of the Zwischenahner Meer. It's good if you have time and leisure and want to enjoy the lake view. Not for people in a hurry who just want to have a quick coffee. The service needs to be optimized and the willingness to lend a hand is required: "Please hold your coffee while I clear the table."

The tavern at am Wels is a real insider tip. Far away from the usual gastronomy, the tavern offers an incredibly relaxed panorama, great service, a manageable menu (which I always think is great) and humane prices.

It's only a 10-minute walk from the motorhome parking space at the Badepark. Chili con carne was very tasty and a mega portion 😋 Crab bread with fried eggs was simply awesome 🤤 plus the view of the water 🥰 Pure relaxation 😎 Service was super good ☺️

Nice view of the sea. This is apparently factored into the prices. It won't be the food itself. The waitress didn't really deserve the tip.

Great location right on the Zwischenahner Meer. Easily accessible from the cycle path around the lake. Magnificent view over the long white jetty of the water. Stylish furnishings, good outdoor seating. The two ladies from the service who served us were both very friendly, despite the large crowd on Sunday afternoon. The waiting time was pleasantly short. The tea specialties are very good. A good selection of regional fish specialties.

The ambience is unique and beautifully situated right on the water, where you can look directly at/across the lake at the boats and ships. The service was very quick and courteous and on recommendation I took a blueberry ice cream sundae (which is not on the menu due to the season) and it was very tasty. I recommend everyone to stay here because it's worth it.

Location top - service flop! We were there on Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. Due to the impending thunderstorm, the outdoor restaurant was moderately attended. Estimated 15-20 people. The service was carried out by three young ladies that day. We sat down at a free table that still had the cups and plates from the previous guests. When one of the ladies came to take our order she said she would come right back and clear the table. We ordered two coffees and asked for the menu because we also wanted to order cake or ice cream. The card came, but the table was not cleared. Her colleague then brought the coffee and cleared the table. When asked what cake there would be today, this lady replied: "I can't say, I've only just started". We then wanted to order waffles, but none of the ladies were to be seen outside. At some point one of the waitresses from inside came outside. There was no response to a wink or a friendly “Hello”. We then decided to pay and leave, just tell who...? When another lady showed up outside, we told her that we would like to pay. “I’ll let my colleague know” was the answer. When this colleague still didn't come after 15 minutes, we decided to pay inside. Inside we were told that the colleague would be coming out soon and that we couldn't pay inside. After waiting outside for another 10 minutes for the colleague in question, we were finally able to pay. After waiting for almost half an hour. I would have understood if all the tables had been fully occupied, but as already mentioned, there were a maximum of 15 guests in the outside area at the time. CONCLUSION: No repeat visit and absolutely no recommendation.

Once you sit down you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Zwischenahner Meer, with courteous service and very tasty food. My vegan tarte flambée was very tasty.
