Cafe & Restaurant Juister im ZSK in Bad Zwischenahn

The food still has room for improvement! Three types of fish were only salmon twice and something else once! However, it wasn't advertised and wasn't even mentioned when served! Also, the fish wasn't easy on my boyfriend or me! The fries were only slightly warm! The small salad was good!

It's crazy how the prices have risen. I won't be back.

We were very dissatisfied. The menu didn't match the online version; it was extremely limited. My partner's choice of a crispy chicken burger was only partially edible; the meat tasted almost spoiled. The fact that there was a daily special, Pandori chicken, wasn't listed on the menu, nor was it mentioned by the server. We only learned about it after we'd ordered, when another server offered this option at the next table. My schnitzel with mushroom sauce and fried potatoes came without any salad, making it overpriced at €25. Our complaints were shrugged off. Not recommended.

We held our class reunion at Sails. The service and location, combined with the great weather, made our reunion unforgettable. Thank you again.

We had a class reunion today, and we were there with 12 people and our dog. Everything went really well. From coffee and cake to dinner. Very friendly staff, delicious food. We had a variety of dishes, and everyone enjoyed them, and everything was very flexible. If you bring your own food and drinks, you can even sit outside downstairs. It was really great, and I'll definitely go again.

Sorry but that was nothing on Saturday, far too little of everything and the cauliflower was still hard, service was totally messed up, had to ask several times and then brought the wrong drinks

We were there for dinner last night with four adults. There was still room on the terrace, where the sunset created a wonderful atmosphere. A young, very friendly waiter took our drink orders...but then we had to wait. The young man was at every table and had his hands full. He gets a 5 ☆ for service. When we arrived, there were more staff at the counter. Later, he had some brief assistance. After he brought our drinks, he took our food orders. I had the salmon burger with fries, which was very good and plentiful. We were disappointed with the fish plate with three kinds of fish. 1 shrimp...and two other small pieces. A bit meager, though! The fried potatoes were plentiful and good. The large salad didn't differ much from the small salad, except for the price. The tarte flambée was very good and plentiful. The drink prices are normal and okay, but the cocktails could be a bit better considering the performance 😉 We paid inside, after a bit of a long wait...and the guy had to do most of it himself, too. Between clearing the table and putting away the cushions. But everyone said their goodbyes.

If the weather's good, you'll have a fantastic view of the sea. The terrace is a great place to sit comfortably, have a drink, and simply enjoy the view. It's truly beautiful!

Schönster Sonnenuntergangsblick von der Terrasse auf Segelboote und das Zwischenahner Meer - wenn man denn dann in einer Bar noch etwas zu trinken bekommt ... Sonntag abend, 29. Juni 21.30 Uhr: auf freundliche Frage, ob man etwas zu Trinken bekommt (Öffnungszeit lt. homepage bis 23.00 Uhr) kommt ein "Nein" - wie geschäftsuntüchtig. Richtig ärgerlich wird es aber erst dann, wenn spätere Gäste (haben den Wirt / Angestellten "bearbeitet") sehr wohl noch etwas bekommen. Unser Tipp: selbst etwas mitbringen, es gibt drumherum genug Bänke, um den Sonnenuntergang genießen zu können und nicht als Bittsteller auftreten zu müssen.

We went to Sails with 12 people for an asparagus dinner. Thank you for the friendly, attentive service and the delicious food (the asparagus was perfectly cooked, the schnitzel was excellent, and the plaice served with it was a wonderful surprise!). The team at Sails gave us a wonderful evening. They give it a full 5 stars.

The good reviews mostly refer to the former Juister restaurant. We were always very satisfied there. Now we've been to the new "Sails im ZSK" several times. We've had both good and not-so-good experiences. Unfortunately, the kitchen is closed in the afternoon. It's a shame! Some of the prices have become outrageous. I hope things will change for the better. The terrace is still one of the most beautiful spots on Lake Zwischenahner. PS: Regarding the comment about the currywurst. We found the quality and taste of the currywurst at the Juister restaurant to be considerably better.

Unfortunately, prices have skyrocketed since the change of management. The location remains great, of course, but €13 for currywurst or €18 for herring is so much that people tend to just stop in for a beer. We're happy to pay those prices, but then, of course, they expect the interior and food to match. A price increase compared to the old ZSK prices is understandable given the location, but not to this extent...

The many older reviews here are from the previous restaurant "Juister" in the same location, I'm reviewing the new "Sails". Unfortunately, our visit wasn't as nice as the great view and ambience would have expected. The restaurant was half full when the weather was good, but unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed. We had reserved a table. The waiter ignored the used dishes that were still on our table, we only received menus after asking about 10 minutes, and drinks arrived quickly. Then placed the order. After about 30 minutes the employee came and asked again what we had ordered, except for one dish he was able to remember everything... Ok, after a total of 60 minutes we had our food on the table. The food was OK, but the asparagus portion was clearly too small (5.5 sticks) and unfortunately still or already cold (asparagus). Towards the end, a new lady/employee came onto the floor and had everything under control. Unfortunately, the bottom line is that we weren't satisfied with our "inaugural visit" to the new restaurant and think that the experience didn't do the ZSK justice. That was better before. Maybe we'll give the restaurant another chance at the end of summer, the ambience deserves it.

The restaurant offers a wonderful view of the Zwischenahner Meer and the harbor of the sailing club from the terrace. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic. The service staff actually managed to walk past our table 6 times without even looking at us. I would describe the capacity of the restaurant as moderate at this point in time. It was only when a guest at the neighboring table ordered another beer and we also asked if we could order something that we were noticed. However, the drink order was taken quickly and implemented promptly. The boss (manager) seemed very rude when we left the restaurant. Guests are usually bid farewell with a friendly “goodbye” or something similar. Unfortunately there is no information here. So this restaurant will definitely not be able to welcome guests for long.

As a sailor, I love the Sails in the Bad Zwischenahn sailing club home.

We remember the place much more positively. We wanted to eat something, there are menus spread out on the tables, we wanted to order currywurst with fries, according to the waitress the kitchen opens at 5 p.m. and you can't order food. A minute later a guest walks past us with two plates of fries. When I spoke to the waitress about this, she was embarrassed by the situation, but of course she couldn't help it. Very unfortunate. Also waited a relatively long time for the order and the invoice.

Nice restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea! Really cozy inside too! Sat on the terrace and were served by a very nice lady. Drinks prices were ok! My wife had also tried very tasty kibbelinge juicy fish with Croser breading! Unfortunately I was disappointed with my Labskaus, quite a small portion and not tasty either. Mine was most likely made with corned beef and there wasn't much of a side dish for the price. I should have ordered something else! The spaghetti with prawns smelled very good and the portion was decent and was ordered several times! We sat inside later and treated ourselves to an aperol! Despite the Labskau, a very nice stay and the evening, especially the sunset, was great!

A recommendation, especially in summer with the balcony and view of the sea. It's very nice to sit there and you can easily watch the sunset. The food is more like home cooking, but it is well made and the price-performance ratio is right. Service friendly.

Great location in the sailing club

Fast, friendly service. Good German cuisine. Recommended: Panfish, housewife-style herring. Free parking spaces, disabled elevator available, in my opinion restaurant with the most beautiful view of the sunset. Updated Jan. 2022: Kale plate with pee, cooking art and smoked pork, plenty of potatoes, everything very good. My wife was also very happy with her Asian chicken soup. Updated October 2, 24: Food and service still top; In addition to the above-mentioned dishes, we also recommend: Ajillo (slightly spicy pasta dish with garlic, grated cheese)

We were there today to drink coffee and eat cake. There is no filter coffee there, but Cafe Crema. We sat at the top and had a great view of the lake. I then decided on the hot cocoa and a piece of sour cream and peach, both of which were very tasty. My accompaniment for apple cake also looked very tasty and is said to have tasted that way too. You can also order tea here. The price-performance ratio is also right. The service was very friendly. We'd love to come back

We discovered the restaurant by chance and went back the next day. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and we had a beautiful sunset on the terrace with a view of the Zwischenahner Meer. A visit is definitely recommended!

For the price, the portion size is really ok. I had fried potatoes with bacon and onions, which I really missed. I also had to add more salt, which is ok. The menu says cucumber, but it was only half. The ambience is very pleasant, with a view of the Zwischenahner Meer. Please note: the kitchen closes at around 8.30 p.m.

The food has become very bad (change of ownership?). Some time ago the plates came to the table beautifully arranged. Today it's more like a snack bar. We've been there three times recently as a group. The first time you think it can happen. But now repeated: fried potatoes totally black, fat and dry, like they had been fried 5 times. The sauces don't taste half as tasty as they used to! Today, for example, salad is more expensive and not as varied at all, back then it even had olives and a delicious mustard sauce. Today with an indefinable oil sauce. And everything was done carelessly. Too bad!!!

The place is beautiful, that's why I'm a member of the ZSK. No service in the garden. Unfriendly service.

Auf Besuch in Bad Zwischenahn waren wir im Juister zum Abendessen. Das Ambiente ist sehr viel hübscher als die Webseite erwarten liess. Auf der übersichtlichen Speisekarte fand jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack: ausgezeichneter Labskaus, knusprige Kipperlinge, klassische Currywurst und gute Pasta. Das alles nett serviert und zu fairen Preisen. Wir werden gern wieder kommen.

The service was actually super nice and the place was nice too. However, after a vegan currywurst was ordered and one made from meat came, she remained unreasonable and since the meat one was eaten at the table (by others) (so as not to throw it away), the replacement was still charged. Of course it's legitimate to have that hand, but in combination with the sparse apology (if you can even call it that) and the fact that I involuntarily ate a piece of meat after 3 years, it leaves a very bland impression.

The place for the “SUNDOWNER” by the sea, the Zwischenahner Meer! Beautiful lakeside terrace with the perfect orientation, over the harbor of the Zwischenahner Sailing Club, into the sunset! Delicious, down-to-earth cuisine; well-kept drinks; warm service!

It's wonderful to sit there in a yacht club in Bad Zwischenahn. The terrace with a view of the lake is fantastic. The restaurant is also great. Super friendly service, great food. There's something for everyone. Very reasonable prices. My favorite food is the Spaghetti aglio e olio.The homemade meatball is also highly recommended.Beer and great wines or cocktails, great.Ma feels comfortable there.

I like it. I would prefer not to recommend it so that more people don't get to know this beautiful location. A dream, especially when the weather is good. But still good as it is.

We spent a great evening in this wonderful little restaurant. It is inconspicuously located by the water and absolutely surprised and convinced us with its incredibly friendly team and a delicious menu! At the end we treated ourselves to a Frisian fire and a Frisian rum; two recommended delicacies from East Frisia.

I proposed to my girlfriend here. I reserved a table as a tourist. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the view of the lake was perfect. And the inside of the restaurant looks so cozy. We are 10/10 satisfied.

Unfortunately, since we didn't eat anything, I can't give it any stars.

Wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzt, hat man einen schönen Blick auf den See und auf die Segelboote,die unmittelbar unten vom Segelverein aus und in das Wasser gebracht werden.🤩

Eine super schöne Location für einen lauen Sommerabend. Wenn man um 17 Uhr da ist, hat man noch gute Chancen auf einen Tisch, ab 19 Uhr wird es voll wenn die Segler rein kommen. Sehr leckeres Essen und ein Service Team mit dem Gastro-Herz am rechten Fleck. Vielen Dank und weiter so 🫶 Ich würde auch 6 Sterne geben wenn das möglich wäre!

5 Punkte von uns, da es uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Es ist einfache Küche, aber das, was wir hatten, war lecker und frisch. Die Kuchenauslage sah super aus. Unschlagbar ist die Lage und der Blick über das Meer.

Schönes kleines Lokal am Segelclub, tolle Aussicht, nettes Personal, gutes und günstiges Essen. Mehrmals da gewesen und nie enttäuscht worden.

Das Essen, Ambiente, der Ausblick und die Mitarbeiter sind perfekt. Wir können sehr empfehlen, hier Feste zu feiern.

Ich kann es jeden nur empfehlen da zu essen. Das Spagelessen ist einfach lecker mit verschiedenen Schinken , lecker Sosse und schönen Spagel. Der Preis ist total in Ordnung. Tolle Getränke . Freundliche und lustige Angestellte .Wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer.

Man sitzt sehr schön in einfachem, zweckdienlichen Ambiente mit tollem Blick auf das Meer sowie die Sportsegler, welche von dort ihre Boote ins Wasser lassen. Sehr freundliche Leute, ordentliches Essen, nicht zu teuer. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hier gibt es einfache, aber schmackhafte Gerichte in einer sehr entspannten Atmosphäre. Der Service ist ausgesprochen nett und am schönsten ist die Lage: direkt am Ufer des Zwischenahner Meeres. Atemberaubend!!!

Leider nicht zufrieden mit dem Essen. Kibbelinge TK, Pommes leider nicht lange genug frittiert, Beilagensalat war einigermaßen okay, geschmacklich insgesamt enttäuschend.

Tolles Restaurant!! Hier stimmt einfach alles!! Saugemütlich, ultralecker - unbedingt das Steak probieren - megafreundliche Bedienung!! Wenn das Wetter mitspielt, sollte man sich auf jeden Fall auf der schönen Dachterrasse mit traumhaften Blick auf's Wasser setzen. Und wenn es doch etwas kühler wird, gibt es hier auch kuschelige Decken. Juister kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen !!

Sehr schönes kleine Vereinsheim mit toller Gaststätte. Das Personal ist super nett und freundlich, das Essen lecker und preislich prima. Die Lage am See ist super, toller Ausblick auf den Sonnenuntergang über dem Meer.

Typisches Clublokal eines Segelclubs mit gemischtem Publikum von Seglern und Nichtseglern. Daher angenehme, dynamische Atmosphäre z.T. ordentlich Lokalkolorit . Eher rustkale aber authentische und daher passende Einrichtung. Bodenständiges, sehr ordentliches Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Grandiose Aussicht auf das hiesige Meer und Segelaktivitäten. Terrasse. Freundlicher, schnörkelloser Service. Nicht barrierefrei, da erster Stock. Für uns hoher Wohlfühlfaktor und immer wieder im hiesigen Urlaub.

Wir waren seit langer Zeit mal wieder in diesem Lokal. Wir werden das wieder öfter tun. Der erste Sommerabend dieses Jahres auf der Terasse mit dem traumhaften Blick. Dazu leckeres Essen und eine sehr zugewandte Bedienung. Es war ein gelungener Abend.

Das gewählte Gericht war in seiner Portion wirklich mehr als ausreichend ! Beim Service gab es absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Die Aussicht auf das Zwischenahner mehr konnte man da es bereits dunkel war nur erahnen (der Jahreszeit geschuldet). Kann man bebedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

Meine ganze Familie hat sich hier super wohl gefühlt. Sehr freundliches Personal, genialer Blick auf das Zwischenahner Meer 🌊 und ein hoher Erholungsfaktor 😊👍.
