Wir waren heute mittag hier im Fährkroog zu Gast. Sowohl die Vesperplatte als auch der Service waren hervorragend..... Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder...

Uhriges Ambiente, leckerer Kuchen und freundliches Personal. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe vor Ort (haben vorher reserviert) alles war zu unserer Zufriedenheit.

Soweit alles ok. Ich kann nicht viel übers essen sagen ,da wir nur Suppe und Kleinigkeiten hatten. Die waren aber lecker und gut präsentiert

Lieber Torsten, ich möchte ich mich nochmals ganz herzlich für die hervorragende Organisation, die freundliche Betreuung und den rundum gelungenen Ablauf unseres Besuchs bei Euch bedanken. Bereits die Vorbereitung und Abstimmung im Vorfeld mit Dir verliefen äußerst angenehm, professionell und unkompliziert. Vor Ort wurden wir dann mit großer Gastfreundschaft, Engagement und Herzlichkeit empfangen, sodass sich unsere Clubmitglieder vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt haben. Top Entertainment ;-)! Sehr guter Ammerländer Löffeltrunk ;-)! Die positiven Rückmeldungen innerhalb unserer Reisegruppe waren durchweg ausgesprochen erfreulich. Euer Einsatz, sowie die Aufmerksamkeit Eures gesamten Teams haben maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, dass unsere Clubfahrt für alle Teilnehmer zu einem besonderen Erlebnis geworden ist. Oft sind es gerade die vielen kleinen Details, die einen Besuch nachhaltig in Erinnerung bleiben lassen. Wir blicken sehr gerne auf die gemeinsamen Stunden zurück und werden den Fährkroog in bester Erinnerung behalten. Waren da zum Essen, sehr lecker.

Wir haben eine Schifffahrt gemacht und mittags eine Zwischenstation in Dreibergen. Das Essen im Fährkroog ist hervorragend, meine Schweinemedaillons mit Bratkartoffeln waren sehr lecker.

Reetgecktes urigen Restaurant mit netter kompetenter Bedienung, auch kleine Änderungen beim Gericht sind nach Absprache möglich

Wunderbares Ammerländer Restaurant in Traumlage am Zwischenahner Meer. Für mich ein Muss für jeden Besucher und ein regelmäßiges Muss für jeden Zwischenahner ;-) Man sitzt gemütlich, das Essen ist gut und die Preise sind angemessen. Ein weiteres großes Plus sind die Mitarbeiter, die allesamt freundlich und aufmerksam sind. Also: Hin da !

Never again!!! There were two of us eating at Fährkroog. I ordered potato salad with a Bockwurst sausage, but the server said they were out of potato salad. No alternative was offered, so what arrived was a grand total of !!!! ONE Bockwurst sausage !!! with two slices of dry baguette (not even butter!). !!!!!! We paid €9.30 !!!!! For ONE Bockwurst!!! €9.30. Since the potato salad wasn't included and the server didn't offer an alternative, the price should have been adjusted!!!! When I pay for a wash, cut, and blow-dry at the hairdresser, I don't leave with wet hair. Full price - full service. This is unacceptable. How about an oil change without the oil? - just the filter? But the garage would charge the full price. Absolutely impossible!!!

Hardly any Christmas decorations, the fireplace wasn't lit (a shame), and the fish platter was unfortunately very sparsely filled.

Excellent food and great service. The ambiance is lovely, but it's also very popular and therefore sometimes a bit cramped. But that's really nitpicking.

A charming little restaurant, the staff is friendly and efficient, but be prepared for the incredible noise level, as it's often crowded with large groups. Another vegetarian option (they currently offer salad and cheese sandwiches) would be great. 😊 Fish lovers are always very satisfied.

A quaint Ammerland inn with excellent kale and good service staff from the region.

We dined at Fährkroog on a Saturday with a large group. Despite the restaurant being quite full, drinks and other items arrived promptly. Special requests were handled without any problems. All 21 of us who ordered à la carte received our meals together – a very good service. The food was delicious, and the portions were more than generous. The atmosphere and service were excellent! We'll definitely be back, both as a couple and again with a larger group.

Everything here is absolutely fantastic. The waiter, Frank, is incredibly friendly. And the food... the fried potatoes are a must-try. The pumpkin is a real insider tip.

We were here on November 2nd, 2025. The food was great, the prices were reasonable, the service was excellent and friendly, the restrooms were clean, and the parking was great, even for people with disabilities. We were there with some members of the Rheumatism League.

Vegetarians only have the option of salad. For that, the food is quite expensive. My beans were very salty, and there was meat in practically everything (beans, potatoes, etc.). The waiter was friendly enough but came across as very rude. You sit very close to the other guests in a room, making it very noisy. I was quite disappointed.

Delicious regional cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the ritual of eating smoked eel, written in Low German.

If you want to enjoy good food in a lovely, rustic atmosphere, this is the place for you. Very friendly staff serve delicious dishes from the kitchen. I really enjoyed it and would gladly visit again.

We ate at the Fährkroog today with a small group. The various dishes were beautifully presented and tasted excellent. The service was attentive and very helpful. We felt very comfortable. Anyone who prefers good German cuisine and loves a rustic atmosphere will be in the perfect place at the Fährkroog. Torsten Trepiak and his team congratulate them all on this fantastic location.

We stopped there for dinner during a bike tour. A lovely stay with good food, a great atmosphere, and excellent service. We'd go back anytime.

For us, a visit to the Fährkrog is a must on every visit to Bad Zwischenahn. The extensive menu has been the same for years, the food is delicious, and the value for money is right—what more could you want? The Fährkrog was closed for seven months in 2025, during which time it underwent a gentle renovation, which suits it well. The familiar ambiance has been preserved.

This was our first time at this restaurant and we chose it because of the great setting. Our friends had never been here before either. We were so pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. The eel sandwich is really something! Apart from that, you can eat pork medallions there, which are of truly excellent quality.

It's great to have you back, especially having the nice, cool head waiter on your team. The food was delicious, especially the fried potatoes. The license plates on the tables are unique. All in all, it was a great experience. Keep it up 👍

Unfortunately, we have to give it one star. We visited the new Fährkroog today, August 31, 2025. After ordering two cups of filter coffee from a waiter, a colleague brought us two cups of Cafe Crema. We said that we hadn't ordered it that way. The reply was that she had already checked it, but she would have to take it back. Because we didn't want to upset the lady, we said we were drinking the coffee. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait over 20 minutes, even though we had informed two waiters. I then went inside and said that we had been waiting so long, and a waiter then loudly told me they were busy and had no staff. That was outrageous, because there was a group inside who were only having coffee and cake, and there were only a few other customers outside. We won't recommend the place to anyone else, and we won't visit again.

A very nice and well-maintained restaurant with a large outdoor terrace. The waiters are all cheerful and happy to welcome their guests. The "Ammerland spoon drink" with the toast (...*) is also a popular choice here, as the waiter drinks with you and guides you if necessary ;-) Delicious food - here too, filleted smoked salmon, delicious beer, and delicious schnapps*

If you want to enjoy excellent cuisine with specialties from the Ammerland region, you are in good hands here.

We ate at your restaurant last night. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. However, we had a short, elderly waiter who was very unpleasant. When we were paying, we wanted to pay by card. He then said, in a very rude tone, that we only paid in cash, even though you also accepted card payments. His explanation was that he didn't have time to get the card because of time constraints. We've never experienced anything like this before! We were very sorry that we had such an experience with you. I know what it's like and can understand it when it's busy and can cause a bit of stress. But that's no reason for me to treat customers like that.

We were very disappointed because the food wasn't enough...I had a small salad with a mini Cambert and three small slices of dry baguette upon request...the taste was okay but too little for the price. My husband had the Fährkroog special with scrambled eggs...a few fried potatoes, no onions, and a scrambled egg made from one egg - simply beaten...very disappointing...as residents of Zwischenahn, we hope they can improve in the future...Oh, and the restrooms were dirty on Sunday lunchtime...

We reserved a table in the evening. The weather was great, with a view of the sea. Friendly service, a rustic, cozy atmosphere, and a large outdoor terrace. The dishes were beautifully presented. Our example was the zander filter with rosemary potatoes, melted butter, hollandaise sauce, and a mixed salad. The smoked fish with three types of fish, salad, fried potatoes, and scrambled eggs. Absolutely delicious.

Hey everyone, I don't usually write reviews, BUT I'm very happy to do so here. Due to renovations, we've been waiting a long time to visit the Fährkroog. Here on the internet, we've seen the renovation and the enthusiasm of Torsten and his team. What should I write... Today we went on a bike ride to the Fährkroog and, how can I describe it, it was like coming home 👍 Anyone who knows the Fährkroog knows that you're ALWAYS greeted warmly. The staff is friendly and always up for a joke. Drinks come quickly, the food is amazing. The ambiance is super beautiful. The Zwischenahner Meer completes everything. We'll be back and are already looking forward to it. Dear Torsten and team, THANK YOU for this wonderful day with you. What else should I write... Of course, people, get going and see for yourself. Highly recommended and, in my opinion, A+. Thank you 😘

Very friendly staff and a perfect end to the day

Some lettuce leaves had brown cut edges, indicating it had been sitting for a while. The white bread was of cheap quality.

We were there for breakfast today. It was completely overpriced and very meager. We won't be going back!

I had smoked salmon with salad and fried potatoes. I was hesitating between two dishes and ordered it because I'd seen it at the next table. Unfortunately, my piece turned out to be smaller and looked a bit messed up at the thin end. Overall, with the delicious fried potatoes, it was still a satisfying meal. My wife's pickled herring with fried potatoes was also a good one. Overall, the atmosphere suffered from the hectic pace of this summer day with a packed garden restaurant. I didn't need to witness a loud reprimand from my colleagues. Combined with the noise from the kitchen, it was too much. Unfortunately, my wife received the wrong dish first, even though the waitress had repeated the order loudly (but had probably entered it incorrectly).

The new restaurant opened today, and everything is running almost like clockwork. 👍🏼 The food was excellent. We'll be back.

We ate delicious kale. It was super filling in a very rustic setting right on Lake Zwischenahner.

Once again we were here for lunch and as always we were not disappointed. The service was again very friendly. The food was served quickly and was hot and very tasty. We have never been disappointed here. It's also nice in summer when you can sit outside. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Very nice place near Autobahn. German food is just as salty as Swedish food. (A little too salty according to our Dutch taste).

The cake was very tasty and the coffee too. The blonde service person was really unfriendly and snotty and totally annoyed when she had to get the EC device to pay. It's a shame, such staff really drives away all the guests.

Went there by bike. Very nice atmosphere and excellent food. From there you can take a great lake tour.

Super tasty, absolute recommendation!

It was delicious😋, the service was very friendly😉, the counter was really nice to look at👍. The 70-year-old thatched roof house is really great👏with a large outdoor area right on the Zwischenahner Meer🌊⚓️located😎with a small swimming area and many small boats🚤. There is also the possibility of a boat trip🚢at the “DREIBERGEN” pier there😄!!! (September 2024)
