Mr.Tran Restaurant in Bad Zwischenahn

Very friendly owners and employees. We arrived shortly before 9 p.m. and were given a very friendly welcome. As always, the food was very good and fresh. Price-performance ratio is consistent. Gladly again at any time.

The service is great, the food is very tasty and also very cheap. I can only recommend it to anyone who likes Asian, Japanese and Chinese.

Everything was kept really chic. Looks great, especially in the evening. I had never visited a Chinese restaurant with 1 bar. The service wasn't the friendliest. You get the feeling that you are a burden when you ask something, rather than that you are actually perceived as a guest. The food was bland, the duck I ate was just as untasty as the vegetables. Rice was very sticky. Overall, in my opinion, the food was not worthy of a Chinese restaurant.

Visually beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately, I think almost €18 for a salmon bowl is way too expensive, considering that no high-quality salmon is used, the ingredients in the bowl are generally lean (no edamame or mango) and the sauce comes from a tube. Coconut soup and coconut sauce with chicken is the same.

Nice ambience, bad food. Chicken with skin means breaded chicken. You can forget the salmon bowl. Quality of fish inferior. It's actually a shame. The store is visually appealing. But the quality of the food is poor. Only cheap products are used. Price-performance is not right.

We were very satisfied, the food was delicious and it was very nicely presented. The staff was really nice. Unfortunately, on Sundays you can expect a very long waiting time (up to 1.5 hours).

We spontaneously decided to eat at Mr. Tran Restaurant on our last visit and were pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly and the food was very tasty. There was also a large selection of drinks. We would love to come back.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice. But it took a while until we were served; the waitress also spilled my cocktail without cleaning the table properly. The “You & Me” set was a bit too small, too dry, too simple. For €50 we expected more. At the end we were still hungry.

The duck and also the sushi were excellent again today. Kind regards from Oldenburg. Dishes and service are very important here 😀

We were there for dinner today and the food was delicious, but the staff was very unfriendly, so no tip and one star for the staff.

Today, September 15th, 2024, we had dinner here. We don't have to go far and were in the mood for Asian. When ordering, my wife found out whether her choice included wheat (she has an intolerance). Since wonton didn't have an A for wheat either, we just wanted to be on the safe side. The lady who took the order said no to the question about the wheat. When the dish arrived, what stood out was the breaded/fried tempura in the large rice roll. My wife pointed this out. They replied: Yes, it is wheat. My wife then said that she had asked. The waitress then said, quite annoyed: Yes, I didn't know that. That's not a problem. But then we were made to feel guilty. Annoyed, my wife was asked what she wanted to eat instead. They then said that the tempura had not been unbreaded and fried (very dubious). So my wife decided on salmon... Suddenly the "cook" came with his flour container. And waved it in front of my wife and said: "IT'S NOT WHEAT, IT'S PANKO". Then my wife said that PANKO also contains a large portion of wheat. She also showed him this on her cell phone. It's also strange that he brings the flour loose, but we're told it wouldn't work without flour and it wouldn't be fried. Suddenly another person came out of the kitchen and said surimi was also wheat. My wife isn't allowed to do that. But there was no word from Surimi in court. The chef then asked if we wanted to take the “old roll” with us. I said yes. In the end, my wife got the salmon roll on the same stone board including leftover breading from the first dish and a surimi underneath. An absolute no-go for people with severe intolerance. The fact that in the end I received a bill for over 90 euros and that the dish they had prepared incorrectly was completely on the bill, no one apologized and in the end my wife was made to feel guilty. We won't go there anymore. The taste was good. Everything else, including the sad aquarium at the entrance, absolutely didn't work.

Tasty, very nicely prepared, you can order pickups promptly, chic restaurant, but unfortunately incredibly loud in there.

Very good food and good drink selection. Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, a star deduction for service because our dessert order was refused with the argument: There's too much going on and they can't do it. I've never had anything like that before. What a shame!

So we were there for the first and last time! Very unfriendly staff, we had to wait 3/4 hour for the food (nothing special) when we asked if we had been forgotten, we were told what we had ordered and that would take time. If we had ordered something else it would have been there quicker (service statement) and it was overpriced for what you got. We won't be coming back!

When you arrived you first had to wait - there was no service - so you looked for a place yourself. When we arrived we sat down and had to wait about 10 minutes for the cards to arrive. Waited 30 minutes for the drinks to be taken. After waiting 15 minutes for the drinks, the food was served, after which we had waited 45 minutes. Food was ok a bit very salty. I wouldn't come back because the waiting times are extremely long.

My call was answered, but unfortunately the woman on the other end was sometimes difficult to understand acoustically. In the middle of the conversation she apparently didn't feel like it anymore, hung up and immediately pushed me away when I called back again.

We ate there today with 4 people in the afternoon area. The food tasted very good and the ambience was nice. Only the service seemed unfriendly and uninterested. Unfortunately, one of four dishes was delivered incorrectly, and when we pointed this out to the waitress there wasn't even an apology. The right food was then delivered, but of course it was stupid because the other 3 people had finished in the meantime.

The food is beautifully presented and tastes good. Child-friendly or not addressed. Was disappointing.

We ate very tasty! The food had no flavor enhancers and was therefore healthier. The price-performance ratio is also right. Very friendly staff😊 Would love to come back.

The waiting times between courses were optimal and left enough time to enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed. Overall, Mr. Tran in Bad Zwischenahn is a restaurant that I can fully recommend. It offers exquisite cuisine, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether for a romantic dinner, a meeting with friends or a family dinner, Mr. Tran is an excellent choice.

Unfriendly staff, unable to do sensical calculations or take orders properly. I was given the wrong food and then had to pay the price. Cheeky service, lack of respect and pure rip-off! There are much better restaurants that can do the math ;)

Nice atmosphere and above all the best and freshest sushi we have ever eaten and we have been to many big cities in Germany, but the restaurant here in Bad Zwischenahn beats them all. We will be back definitely! Very highly recommended.

You have to give it one star. Had reserved a table but arrived a few minutes early. A few people were sitting outside, there was a yawning emptiness inside, so I went in. There was no reaction to my greeting. I looked for my table, but the reserved table could not be found. So I took a seat at an empty table and hoped that the waitress would show up. The waitress was busy pouring beer and taking telephone orders. She saw me but apparently couldn't make it to my table. A few people came in wanting to order takeout and were served immediately. A second waitress appeared, walked past me several times, but didn't pay any attention to me either. When a newly arrived group of about 10 people was led into the dining room, tables were eagerly brought together, menus were handed out and drinks were asked for, I didn't want to disturb them any longer. After 20 minutes of disrespect from the waitress, I left with an empty stomach. If you have too much time and are bored, this is the right place for you. If you expect service, you're better off going somewhere else.

Delicious, not the “classic” Asian...

I was there for work and ate here alone in the evening. I ordered a pho, dumplings and nigiris. The price-performance ratio is perfectly fine and the food is delicious, and the furnishings are also modern. However, unfortunately the service was absolutely unfriendly to me. Probably because I looked relatively young compared to the usual guests and was alone (a young woman alone probably can't bring in sales). I really noticed how I wasn't being taken seriously. The other tables were treated differently. It also bothered me that I specifically ordered Vietnamese beer from the bottle (which is more expensive), but didn't see the bottle - the beer came straight to my table in a Krombacher glass. Hmm. I would have liked to order a little more, but I didn't feel comfortable there anymore and ended up paying and still giving a good tip. Here too I received zero kindness or a “thank you”. The EC device was held out to me and our conversation ended with “Enter PIN”. For me, I wouldn't visit the store again.

Everything was swimming in a sauce, the duck and the vegetables. Small bowl of rice without a spoon. Dessert - fried banana - some honey and vanilla ice cream was served with 2 cake forks.

Very good and tasty. Not too expensive. No finished products like many others. You can taste that they cook here themselves.

The ambience of a train station hall and the sticky floor scared me a bit. When the dogs in the dining room attacked their buddies on the street, we lost our appetite and we looked further afield. The lunch menu is also very poor. The evening menu offers a wantan soup for almost €6. So you can tell exactly which city you are in.

We thought it was a normal Asoa snack bar. The menu was interesting and there is a lot of sushi. When the starter arrived we were thrilled with the taste. My dumblings were really great and so was my girlfriend's sushi roll. At the next table I overheard a conversation with the chef because the people there said that if you look at raw fish you can tell whether it was frozen. The chef was able to explain this well because the fish probably comes from Holland and takes 8 hours to get to the restaurant. Since it is on ice, the fish lying on the ice can get signs of this. This can happen and is completely normal. The main course was also very good. Asian is well known and somehow you know the taste. But here there wasn't just a certain something, everything tasted well thought out and prepared with love. We later talked to the owner and found out that everything is prepared fresh and without flavor enhancers. We will definitely come back again, we still have a lot to try and are looking forward to it.

The decor is good, but a bit noisy as the tables are relatively close to each other. Food came quickly and was hot, very attractively decorated! My dish was fried and yet the meat (chicken) was tender as butter!!

Went there on Saturday with 4 people, it was really tasty again and this time we got sushi for 4 people (see picture of the ship). It was worth it and there was enough for everyone. I can only recommend it and the price-performance ratio was totally fine...

A tastefully decorated restaurant with friendly service. Food was excellent and everything was freshly prepared. Even today's visit you can say everything was top quality and served with friendliness.

I always look at the toilet first, 1 toilet for women and the disabled, sad, things looked better for the men. It wasn't really very clean there either. Unfortunately the floor in the restaurant is stained. Eating what we ordered, well. Different food but all the same sauce. It looked different here in the pictures. The rice, unfortunately a thick chunk, rice grains barely visible. I didn't even eat half of the food. Water glass dirty, table sticky, 3 people just standing there. My waitress was great, she did everything to make us happy. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again. It's a shame, I was looking forward to it

Many people often say all kinds of things in their reviews that may not always be equivalent to every opening hour in a restaurant! I often just call it good! And that's what it's all about here at Mr.Tran. You can taste Mr.Tran's passion in the food!

I have eaten there several times and also ordered food. It was always ready very quickly, even at peak times. The sushi is super fresh and delicious. I love it here. It is also one of the most beautiful ambiences I have ever seen in a sushi restaurant.

Super leckeres Essen. Gehe oft hin. Die Besitzer sind total freundlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr geschmackvoll. Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Das Wichtigste: Sie verwenden wirklich keine Geschmacksverstärker!!!!! Meinem Bauch geht es nach dem Essen dort richtig gut.

Essen war echt klasse. War in 4 Wochen 5 mal dort Essen. Preise waren gut und das Personal sehr freundlich und höflich. Es gab auch Empfehlungen, wenn man nicht wusste, was man essen möchte.

Wir waren enttäuscht. Haben viel bezahlt für wenig Essen. Wir essen gerne und häufig asiatisch, aber hier nicht wieder.

Dieses Jahr wieder dort gegessen. Immer noch sehr lecker, aber der Kellner war unglaublich unfreundlich. Klar, es ist wenig Personal vorhanden und alle müssen mehr machen, aber freundlich sein kann jeder. Ich hatte fast das Gefühl, als Frau alleine wird man nicht gerne gesehen. Ich war etwas skeptisch , da sich hier einige nicht so wohlwollend geäußert haben . Das Essen war mega klasse, das Krosse Hähnchen war wirklich kross, auch noch als es in der Soße lag. Leicht scharf stimmte auch , absolut verträglich. Alles war frisch , das Gemüse schön knackig und würzig. Ich habe lange nicht so gut gegessen und dann auch noch preiswert. Die Einrichtung ist auch sehr stylisch , die Mädels schnell und freundlich. Das Essen kam auch relativ schnell . Die Sushiplatten am Nebentisch sahen einfach toll aus.

Ich war heute mit meiner Frau und kleinen Tochter da, wir haben was zum mitnehmen bestellt es war schnell fertig und es war sehr lecker 😋 kann ich wirklich empfehlen und sehr guter Preis, gerne wieder danke

Modernes und sehr groß wirkendes Restaurant. Wir wurden direkt freundlich empfangen und umsorgt, bei Fragen zum Essen wurde einem sofort weiter geholfen. Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker. Der Service war top! Man hat sich richtig zu Hause gefühlt. Vielen lieben Dank! Wir kommen gerne wieder. :)

Food was beautifully presented and the restaurant interior is interesting and modern. Prices are good value for the presentation, amount and quality. Only issue was slightly slow service and it took an hour after we had finished to have our plates removed and the bill provided to us. However, this was on a busy Friday evening, so I imagine it’s more efficient on other days. Even so, I would recommend a visit. Thank you Mr Tran!

Dafür das augenscheinlich 2 Personen das Restaurant betrieben haben, als wir dort gegessen haben, war der Service gut. Es hat uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Sushi haben wir nicht probiert.

Einfach super geschmeckt....wir kommen immer wieder

Bei einem Kurzen geschäftlichen Besuch in Bad Zwischenahn, hatte meine Frau und ich heute Mittag Hunger auf ein frisches asiatisches Gericht mit knusprigen Ente und knackigem Gemüse. Das haben wir im Restaurant Mr. Tran von einer netten Bedienung nach wenigen Minuten bekommen. Die Rechnung musste meine Frau übernehmen, da ich der Meinung war mein Portemonnaie im Auto hab liegen lassen. Tatsächlich ist mir wohl mein Portemonnaie beim ausziehen meines Mantels, den ich über Den Stuhl gelegt habe, .herausgefallen. Ohne weiter zu suchen sind wir nach unserem Geschäftsbesuch nach Hause gefahren. (230 km). Bei meiner Ankunft zu Hause, habe ich dann auf mein Handy geschaut und eine mir unbekannte Nummer zurückgerufen, am anderen Ende war der Besitzer des Restaurants Mr.Tran. Der mich wohl schon mehrfach versucht hat anzurufen um mir dann zu sagen, dass das Portemonnaie im Restaurant gefunden wurde und er mir dass netterweise per Post zu schickt. Es gibt noch ehrliche Menschen auf dieser Welt. Vielen Dank Wir kommen gerne wieder R.Panek
