The pizza was very bad. The taste wasn't good at all. The service also left a lot to be desired.

Top shop, owner and staff are super nice, food is served quickly and is super tasty, not too expensive but at a good price, definitely recommend it!!

We were here for lunch today, and I have to say we haven't had this good a meal in a long time. Even the salad dressing is fantastic. The only minor negative is that the drinks could have been cooler. We'll be back next time we're in Zwischenahn.

Great location! But the food was really bad. The pizza was way too dark. It could have been a frozen pizza. But when I asked, they said the dough was freshly made. I don't believe it, based on the taste and appearance. The gyro was definitely not a gyro! It was some kind of pressed meat. The Coke wasn't carbonated and tasted stale. The restroom was dirty, and the dirt wasn't from the day before!!!! There were no towels or paper towels either. They were paper towels for drying hands. Definitely way too expensive for the food!

I'm really sorry, but everything the people with a 1-star review wrote is absolutely true. The cola was still carbonated, the pizza was maybe 24cm instead of 28cm if you were being honest. We've never eaten such a bad pizza before. It was dry and burnt. The waiter just said it had been in the oven too long. The gyro says it's from the rotisserie, but that's 100% wrong, because all the meat looked the same, which I'm used to from a rotisserie, but it's completely different. We definitely won't be coming back.

A colleague got a glass with traces of lipstick on it... Strangely, both beer kegs were empty at the same time, and there was no replacement available. And then you order a Benedictine, whether dark, non-alcoholic, or regular, and you get an Erdinger served in a Benedictine glass, and it's not even that cold. You could definitely call it cheating, but whatever, once and never again. The restroom is also worth seeing... if the lights worked. And most of the menu items are apparently never in stock, judging by what the people at the table next to you said. The service was also quite unprofessional and awkward; in the end, you had to go inside yourself and tell them exactly what you were eating or drinking because the staff didn't know anything about it and didn't want to take the money even when asked, or had forgotten to...

I've experienced a lot, but nothing like this in a long time. The kitchen is right next to the toilet; I couldn't decide which was dirty, the kitchen or the toilet. The whole restaurant stinks, and the food is a disaster. If you order pizza, you get one from the "Good & Cheap" frozen section, not even a Dr. Oetker one. The spaghetti didn't contain real chicken, but rather breaded chicken thighs cut into pieces. We didn't even see the receipt; we were just told how much it cost. It was simply a waste of money. 🤮 At least the waiter was nice.

No, I can't recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. It's the worst pizza I've ever eaten. If I could give it a "zero star," I would have chosen one.

We were only here for cocktails! PEOPLE, leave it... we were served straight away. Well, we only ordered and 25 minutes later they started making the cocktails.. in the meantime it started to rain.. then he said leave the drinks at the bar and bring in the pillows... our cocktails had no ice, were warm and tasted stale. We had reusable straws but they took them out for hygiene reasons. We complained! He started arguing that my ipenema was only ginger ale and made with lime.. my lime was a lemon.. he showed me that it was supposed to be a lime but it was a lemon.. he was annoyed and said give it here, I'll take a bite.. then I made a fatal mistake.. lemon was warm and bad! I almost spat on the table! I stood up and said I wasn't paying for it. My brother ordered a Coconut Kiss... they just put grenadine in it without telling me they were out of coconut syrup! Just avoid the place... the atmosphere was okay, no music, etc.... okay, the toilet? The toilet seat is broken! You're afraid you'll hurt yourself! I'd love to report this place! Other guests noticed this and came up to me to say they saw them preparing the cocktails. The guests were simply chilling their drinks (beer) with ice cubes! Disgusting!

We just wanted to have cocktails but it took forever for them to be ready and then we didn't even get the cocktails we ordered and they were warm without ice...

We ate there at the weekend, the beer was warm and the portions were much smaller than last year.

It was my first time there and I'll never go back. Guests came and were skillfully ignored several times. I had a gyro plate with about 15 fries on it and just a handful of gyros. I don't eat much, but I was still hungry afterward. The Coke was warm and had no carbonation. The dishes from previous guests weren't cleared away.

An absolute disaster, a "restaurant" like no other. No food, supposedly everything sold out, ordered three times, and still the wrong order. The restrooms were a nightmare, filthy, and no lights. If you were to give it 0 stars, it would be here.

I think it's a disgrace that the waiter told us, "I'm alone," at the beginning and wanted to send us away. I think it's a disgrace. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. And our drinks were completely warm, except for the water. They had no organization and, in some cases, didn't even know where the food was supposed to go. At the end, we wanted to pay, and he didn't have any change to change; we had to give him the exact amount. So, we won't eat at this restaurant again. It's unacceptable.

Miserable! Unfriendly, far too little food! When we pointed this out and showed the pictures from the review here (the gyro plate here was three times as large as the actual amount), we were met with nothing but unfriendliness and no understanding. NEVER AGAIN!

We were just eating at the restaurant. After about 15 minutes, the still Coke arrived. When the food arrived, I spoke to the owner and said that the portion was really too small (not like the picture online) and that the pizza wasn't the advertised size of 28 cm. The prices weren't appropriate for the portion. Instead of trying to accommodate us in any way, the owner simply started arguing and became rude. His explanation was that it's mostly old people who eat here, and they can't do much... I don't need to say anything more.

The food wasn't tasty; the pasta was served without Parmesan cheese. Only after being asked did someone come over and pour the cheese from the bag over the pasta. The drinks weren't cold, and one glass was broken. Not good service.

Really bad service. We waited for the menu... we waited for drinks (which came one at a time after the meal) and then the table was broken, so that the beer tipped over and broke. Instead of taking care of it, they asked if we needed a new one. We then moved to another table. My Hugo came in a shot glass and they discussed how Hugo was always a short one... we also had to wait a long time for the bill... I feel sorry for the boss, but if they're short-staffed next time, they should close the place down. That young man today has absolutely no business being in service.

The service isn't great...the food we ordered went to the table next to us. They had the same thing, only they arrived after us, and their portions were also larger. The waiter was overwhelmed, and the Alster was just sparkling water.

Pretty overwhelmed in everything. Portions were very small, prices were average. The only one who remained calm was the friendly waitress. Drinks were ordered incorrectly, one meal was forgotten. Neighbors at the table weren't served at all. All in all, not recommended.

I have to say, we ate there a few minutes ago! I don't understand all the fuss some people are making. We all really enjoyed the food, everything went smoothly... The service and the chef asked how we were! Everything was great... We'd love to come back!

The food itself was okay, but for those prices, it's simply outrageous. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the prices. And the service, it should be hired by someone with a bit more of a good mood, thanks! And the seating arrangement is really set up like a labyrinth, really, hey! I came in and there wasn't even a hello when I ordered the food, I ordered a pizza and a coke, the glass had stains and was dirty and the pizza looked like a frozen pizza and that's what it tasted like, and I felt uncomfortable because I wouldn't recommend the shop to anyone, it's expensive and not tasty

What can I say? 💬 Friday lunch, hardly any customers, so we could choose our own seating outside and the weather was nice (🤔 we should have been surprised)! Our order was taken quickly. Instead of non-alcoholic beer 🍺, they brought regular beer, and 400 ml of water was from the tap (for €4). 25 minutes after ordering, our food finally arrived. Gyro vegetables without fries and salad > Unfortunately inedible, sorry > returned it! Because it was way too salty, and the vegetables consisted only of frozen zucchini and onion, seasoned with this overly salty sauce (the portion was very small). I won't write anything about the marbled, gristly meat (gyro-style)! The man from the kitchen took my plate and just said that the sauce was a ready-made product... that was all. At least I didn't have to pay for my meal when I paid! That was ONE attempt at this restaurant! Too bad, it's such a beautiful location... Don't be mad, but the service and quality need to be improved!!!!

We were there on Mother's Day. It was incredibly busy and therefore it took a while. The service person, a young woman, was very friendly and also took care of our children (especially our son). She explained to us that they had just taken over the store and didn't quite get the hang of it yet. We understood that and waited. The service person then apologized to us again. After about 45 minutes we got our food. What I really liked was that she made sure that our children didn't have too much ice in their drinks! I personally found the food very tasty! The side salad was fresh and crunchy and my pasta had a lot of chicken. It's a shame we live so far away. I would have liked to go there again We paid €48 for two pastas, a fries with ketchup and mayonnaise, a large Spezi, a large beer and two small apple juices. That's perfectly fine because the portions were really big. After dinner there were sweets for the children. I would like to once again give great praise to the service staff.

Were served kindly by the young woman. Unfortunately we asked several times which pizza we would like. Even when the pizza was already on the table. We don't want to go into the unseasoned taste of "ready-made pizza" here. What we found unsightly, nay rather disgusting, was the lack of hygiene in the toilet: toilet seat torn out, no towels, roll of paper used as toilet paper on the floor. It is outrageous that we were only informed when paying that there was no card payment. Something like this needs to be communicated before ordering! We will not visit again.

Absolutely disappointing - never again! As soon as we arrived, we were completely ignored by the waitress - no hello, no eye contact, no indication that we were new or where we could sit down. We waited a while for the menu while we overheard other guests complaining about hair in their food. The reaction of the waitress? An indifferent “Ok” – no apology. After 15 minutes they suddenly wanted to take our food order - even though we hadn't even received a card yet. The drink order was finally taken but the drinks didn't arrive for another 10 minutes even though the place wasn't even full. And then only half of it arrived - when asked, they just said "it's in progress" again, several times. There was a clear feeling that there was no communication within the team. Everyone seemed clueless, no one knew what was going on. The beer glasses weren't really clean - an impression that other guests also expressed. New guests even had to sit at tables that had not been cleared. When we finally had enough and decided to leave, we were asked as we were leaving where we wanted to sit - completely uncoordinated until the end. Conclusion: A total disaster. Bad service, poor hygiene, no overview in the team. No recommendation!

Nice guys - but unfortunately there was no food or drinks. Starter bruscetta consisted of 70% onions and knofi, main course was convenience, noodles (actually spaghetti but were more like thin soup noodles) were unfortunately totally overcooked, had to repeat the order because the main course was forgotten, instead of the bottle of still water we ordered, we had tap water, we had to remember twice about the matching glasses - and the shop was empty. apologized for it, everything's fine - it can happen :) they're all just people. The cocktails we ordered came without ice (that was all). That can happen too, but then you say it in advance - then the guest can always decide on something else. So we had semi-cold cocktails and an apology 🙂 Unfortunately it was nothing.

Seems the owner has changed. On the one hand, because the colleague who served us mentioned it and on the other hand, and I think this is more important, because our stay has absolutely nothing to do with the reviews I read here! Portions are “okay” at best, prices are right on the limit for mostly finished products. Well, maybe the new owners are still catching up

Great food, tastes very tasty, and fresh ingredients, staff is very friendly, they take the time to have a drink and have a chat. Cocktails are also highly recommended, I was here with a friend for 2 days in a row and will definitely come back.

Perfect location for our daughter's 16th birthday We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday with 30 friends in this bar and can only rave! The atmosphere and decoration was just great. The team was super attentive and took care of every detail so that we as parents could sit back and relax. A cold and warm buffet was conjured up by the kitchen fairy and it was simply great. We would particularly like to highlight the surprise at midnight: a beautiful birthday cake that the team had organized - a real goosebumps moment! Our daughter and her friends had an unforgettable evening and we will definitely keep this bar in mind for future celebrations. Many thanks to the whole team for this exceptional service!

I can't say anything about the food, service with a card was quick, but the prices on the homepage are probably from the last century. You should do something with it (beer instead of 2.80 now 3.90). Charging so much money for a restaurant with run-of-the-mill dishes is not justified. There is better. So we got up without eating anything

We were there with 5 women and we all ate different things. We were very satisfied. Everything was very tasty and the service was very friendly.

It was my first spontaneous meal there and I had a very good Pizza Raven. I felt very comfortable as a guest and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The prices and the very good service were very good.

Pizza, pasta and schnitzel were really tasty and the portions were good. The service was very friendly, but my food was forgotten and instead of apologizing, they tried to cover it up, which I found to be a small minus point. But the rest was delivered quickly. I would recommend repairing the lighting, it doesn't seem inviting at first, we only came because of the good reviews.

We were in Bad Zwischenahn this weekend and visited the restaurant several times because we were so excited. Dildar and his family are extremely friendly and helpful. Really good cocktails are served and special requests are also happy to be fulfilled. We had two wonderful evenings and I personally found it a shame that we had to leave on Sunday morning. A real shame!! Thank you

We had a really lovely evening here with Dildar & Juan (his brother). We were able to watch the European Championship soccer game Germany: Spain. The two of them are super friendly and attentive. The food was very good, we had gyros, pizza and starters. Drinks top notch, great atmosphere. That's a five out of five. Mom cooks 👍🏻 We can highly recommend Madlen✌🏻

Went there for the 2nd time today with my cousin. The food was once again very good and fresh. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We had a voucher book with us which worked without any problems. Overall, a nice restaurant and we will come back.

Sometimes I doubt myself... after reading all the positive reviews here, I went to Madlen's Bar this weekend. And unfortunately I don't share the euphoria. We actually had a nice time sitting outside, but it was too hot in the sun and the parasol there was probably broken. So we went in. Unfortunately, you sat at the table far too far away and the edge of the table came off and hung loosely. The drinks took quite a long time and the price was quite expensive in relation to the food. Then came the bruschetta for the main course, for which we had to wait quite a long time. My pizza was supposed to be with Parma ham, but it was smoked Black Forest ham... and the Parmesan wasn't freshly shaved. I also told the staff that... but they told me that it was Parma ham and that's what it says on the packaging... exactly... there was also a small error in the bill and there were 2 receipts, which we also had to pay separately... no idea... and the toilets... well, not nice, but rare. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back, although the staff was at least very nice!

We stopped by today hoping for a reasonably good pizza. The surprise: I have rarely eaten such an extremely delicious pizza. The service was very friendly and accommodating. It's a shame that we have to travel such a long way. Otherwise we would eat here at least once a week. A great compliment to the team. 👍🤗

Great, delicious food, very friendly service! My wife and I dined here at the end of April 2024. Hawaiian pizza and a Viennese style schnitzel. It was very, very tasty and can only be recommended without hesitation. Cheers!!! So far I haven't had a better schnitzel with fries. Since my wife is staying here for rehab, it wasn't the last time we were here. Top, 5 stars *****

Wir waren heute mit unseren 3 Mädels im Madlens bar Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Das Essen war super, die Bedienung sehr lieb. Die Köchin hat den Kindern noch zusätzlich Eis gebracht. Wir gehen auf jeden Fall nochmal hin. Danke. Ihr seit echt weiter zu empfehlen.

Wir waren Sonntag das erste Mal im Madlens Bar . Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden etwas. Wir haben uns für das Tagesangebot entschieden. Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Alles sehr schmackhaft. Die Pommes schienen selbstgemachte zu sein. Dazu im Angebot ein Softgetränk 0,2 l enthalten. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr lecker. Das Tagesangebot ist allerdings jeden Tag das gleiche. Ich kann das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen und morgen mit meiner Familie meinen Geburtstag dort feiern.

Pizza und Angestellte waren sehr gut. Den 5. Stern gibt es, wenn die Toiletten sauber sind. Waschbecken war echt schlimm dreckig, insbesondere am Ausguss und die Toilettenbrille war richtig ekelig.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und super frisch! Der Service auch sehr sympathisch! Immer wieder gern :-)

Im Urlaub mit meiner Frau 3 × hier gegessen. 6 verschiedene Gerichte. Waren alle reichlich und schmeckten alle sehr Gut. Netter freundlicher Service.

Wir haben dort eine mega gute Pizza gegessen . Service ist sehr freundlich und sauber ist es dort. Auch auf extra wünsche wurde eingegangen. Ein wunderschöner Abend 👍

Könnte mehr dekoration draußen haben, aber sonst einer der besten oder sogar das beste Restaurant vom Essen ect her. es könnte die Speisekarte erweitert werden.

Samstag. 19.August 23 Wir wollten zur Zwischenahner Woche... vorher aber noch gemütlich essen...so sind wir in MadlensBar eingekehrt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und konnten einen Tisch wählen 👍🏻 die Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen und das Essen schnell serviert...es war war heiss und sehr lecker 😊 schön gesättigt haben wir dann bezahlt...und der nette Kellner hat uns noch einen Absacker angeboten 🍷👍🏻😁 bis zum nächsten Mal!

das Essen war echt lecker - es war die beste Pizza, die ich seit längerer Zeit gegessen habe. Zaziki mit Brot - mal anders als beim Griechen - echt gut. Das Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben uns während unserer Urlaubswoche zweimal Pizza zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Kurze Wartezeit, der Inhaber war sehr freundlich, hat uns bei der Wärme sogar ein Glas Wasser angeboten. Die Pizzen waren großzügig belegt mit knusprigem Rand. Preise für 28 cm Pizza zwischen 9 und 12 Euro sind in Ordnung. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, wenn wir in Bad Zwischenahn sind. 😉

Ich hatte kürzlich die Gelegenheit, das Restaurant zu besuchen, und leider war meine Erfahrung enttäuschend. Das Personal schien überlastet obwohl es nicht voll war und die Bedienung war langsam. Zusätzlich war die Freundlichkeit nicht auf dem Niveau, das ich erwartet hatte. Das Essen, das ich bestellte, war leider trocken und geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Insgesamt empfand ich das Erlebnis als nicht den Preis wert. Wenn man keine Lust hat auf einem Sonntag zu arbeiten dann sollte man nicht in der Gastronomie arbeiten.Ich hoffe, dass das Restaurant in Zukunft an seinen Schwachstellen arbeitet, um die Erfahrung für die Gäste zu verbessern.

Das Essen war super lecker und der Service war auch top. Ich empfehle, das Lokal sehr und das Gericht nummer 41(Gyrosteller). Sehr lieber und netter Inhaber. Werden öfters zum Essen hingehen.
