Seehotel Fährhaus in Bad Zwischenahn

Perfect location and starting point for all activities. The town center is just a few minutes' walk away. From here, you can enjoy wonderful walks, boat trips, or bike rides. Unfortunately, my stay was a little too short to fully take advantage of the diverse options, so another stay is planned in the near future.

Good hotel with a great location, delicious breakfast and lovely spa area

A very nice hotel, although not exactly the newest. It's located directly on the shore of Lake Zwischenahn and only 150 meters from the town center. Bad Zwischenahn is a spa town, so the average age of the clientele is well over 70. A word of praise for the cuisine; the dishes we sampled were excellent. We didn't try the spa.

The rooms are okay but not nice. The food and service are simply fantastic.

The hotel is wonderfully located, right by the sea! From our suite, we had a direct view of the Zwischenahner Meer, simply fantastic! The food is very, very good and the staff very accommodating! A great team!!! We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

Unfortunately, I was only there for two nights while passing through. A charming hotel with cozy corners. Some updates and renovations are still needed here and there. It was important to me that the rooms were no longer carpeted. My room was a bit noisy due to the connecting door to the next room. The wellness area/swimming pool was small, but adequate. The changing room/shower was impractical.

Highly recommended. We arrived with our dog, and even for her, there was a bag of treats, a wool blanket for the floor, and a bowl in the room. We received a very friendly welcome. We were there for a short vacation and had trouble sleeping on the mattress for two of the three nights. Despite leaving a day later, mattress toppers were promptly brought to our room. We definitely slept better that night :) The breakfast was absolutely plentiful and delicious. The lakeside terrace is also a great place to relax with a coffee, beer, or something similar. You can simply unwind. The entire team was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful, and the town is just a few minutes away. If you just want to switch off, I can highly recommend the hotel and Bad Zwischenahn.

A beautiful 4-star hotel located directly on the Zwischenahner Lake. We received a friendly welcome and were well looked after throughout our stay. There are several parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. The surroundings are quiet and inviting. Right next to the hotel is a small park where we could walk our dog. The city center, with its many shopping and dining options, was only 5 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast is plentiful, and we were able to enjoy it on the lakeside terrace in the morning sun. One minor drawback: the free Wi-Fi reception in the room was poor and kept cutting out. Our conclusion: We were satisfied and are considering booking another vacation here in the coming years. A quick tip: Book directly with the hotel by phone, as some booking websites provide false information about room availability. Same price, better information, and prompt booking confirmation. Very nice location directly on the Zwischenahner Meer lake. Friendly service, but the furniture is a bit dated. The prices are exorbitant: Sprite €6.50, hot chocolate €5.90, or a 0.3 l beer €4.50. We won't go there again.

Beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. We only had a coffee. The cake was delicious. Friendly service.

The rooms are very large and clean. The decor is 80s-style, but very well maintained.

The hotel has a very good location, right by the sea, and if you feel like shopping, the shopping street is nearby. The food was very good and varied, and you could choose between fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes, and special requests were accommodated. Special mention goes to the entire team, who were very courteous, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, there was one point that might make us choose a different hotel next time. The rooms are in dire need of renovation, and we found the building's very dirty appearance (window sills and windows in general, terrace, exterior facade) particularly disturbing. The website says it's a first-class hotel, so something urgently needs to be improved. However, we enjoyed our stay and would like to thank the friendly team.

Note, but not a criticism: Sending and receiving emails - no problem. Surfing the internet - no problem. WhatsApp connection to the hotel's free Wi-Fi is not possible. Both of my cell phones indicated that they were connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi. Messages could not be sent. The reception staff was very helpful when I asked for assistance. On Tuesday afternoon, in the restaurant of the "Park der Gaerten" in Rostrup, I tried using the customer Wi-Fi there. All of my WhatsApp messages - over 24 hours old - were immediately transmitted by both devices. Therefore, the technical problem was not related to my devices.

The hotel impresses with its wonderful location directly on the water. The surrounding area, with its spa gardens and a charming little town nearby, offers a wonderful combination of relaxation, recreation, and entertainment. There's something for everyone, whether you're seeking relaxation or hiking. The Hotel Fährhaus impresses with excellent cuisine and high-quality service. Thank you for that! As always in life, where there's light, there's also a dark side. The hotel is a bit dated and will soon require cosmetic repairs, especially on the beautiful balconies facing the lake. A little tip: the large windows should always ensure an unobstructed view, especially in the restaurant, where the view sweeps over Lake Zwischenahner. All in all, we felt very comfortable. We highly recommend it.

A weekend trip to Bad Zwischenahn. We wanted a hotel with a wellness area. We chose the four-star Seehotel Fährhaus. We had a package with half board. I'll simply list the pros and cons. Pros: - Absolutely beautiful location directly on Lake Zwischenahn - Very good service in the dining area - Delicious food, a feast for the eyes too - Small swimming pool with a small whirlpool, various saunas - Spacious attic room, land-facing - "Normal" drink prices Cons: - The hotel is a bit dated - The room was quite worn, with various scratches on the furnishings - No air conditioning - The wellness area is really small, with only a few loungers - In addition to the mandatory tourist tax, there is also a daily energy cost allowance - Cheeky: There is an additional fee for printing the spa cards Recommendable with reservations; next time I'll probably choose a hotel with a larger wellness area.

Absolute recommendation, because everything is just right here

My parents stayed at this hotel to celebrate their 85th birthday. It was a hot day, and unfortunately, there was no air conditioning. Furthermore, there wasn't even a candle or small decoration on the table for this special occasion (nor was there a nice table right at the edge), even though I had been assured over the phone that there would be one, and the birthday was also noted. It's a shame. A small gesture could have made the stay a more pleasant memory.

This is the second time we have eaten at the Graf Luckner restaurant for a family celebration and it was great again.

We had a very nice room with a lake view. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and everything was delicious. The selection left nothing to be desired. The location is also great. Right next to the spa gardens, very close to the city center, and only about 3 km from the Park der Gärten. We felt very comfortable and this certainly won't be our last time there.

The resort was beautiful. The hotel was beautifully located on the water. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you'll find it there. The staff is very accommodating. Our room was unfortunately very dated and in desperate need of renovation. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our vacation.

The sauna was broken on the day of arrival and the pool was ice cold. The whirlpool was cordoned off with red and white tape. No information in advance. The location was great. The food was delicious. The service in the restaurant was very friendly. However, at reception, they rolled their eyes because they greeted each other in a friendly manner. It's a shame.

Very beautifully located hotel, great area, Bad Zwischenahn is always worth a visit.

We found a nice spot on the jetty. From there, we could see that guests who arrived later were served first. Ultimately, the waiter, who was also unenthusiastic and almost rude, didn't come to us. I then placed my order at the restaurant myself. An argument ensued, during which the waiter responded in a more than unfriendly manner. Nice spot here, but service was terrible!

The hotel's elevator is absolutely unacceptable. It's far too small and outdated. The fact that it was built in 1978 speaks for itself.

We booked several rooms at the Seehotel Fährhaus for our wedding weekend. All the staff, including the manager, were super friendly and flexible. Spontaneous requests and wishes were handled as best as possible. Thank you also for the wonderful surprise. Highly recommended! We would book it again anytime!

Despite the prices, we wanted to have a coffee... left after 25 minutes with some other guests. No one came by to take the orders... It's a shame...

Were there two nights. Had a great view of the water from the room, including a balcony. The rooms are extremely old...80s flair. Therefore in need of renovation here and there. Great mattresses...we slept really well. Wellness area great and all the staff were extremely friendly. Location of the hotel is great...right on the water, but the shopping street is also right around the corner. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly great and high quality. Would love to come back...for two days, just get out of the city, just perfect! And the sunrise from the balcony... fantastic. the nature there... ensures that you can simply switch off and relax

I had a brochure from the hotel that looked great. Just wanted to have a drink on the terrace during a day trip. Location is good, but the hotel is very old and the cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. The iced coffee was expensive, but more like a bad place. Overall disappointing. I'm glad I didn't book the hotel.

The location of the hotel is very nice, but it lacks the well-kept. The hotel is already very old. The best hotel room is the bathroom. That was super chic! But the beds and mattresses really aren't the best anymore! It's very shabby. Also the cleanliness, the fly screen on the door is very dusty so it needs to be cleaned a little more thoroughly! The breakfast in the hotel was okay, but not a highlight! For a room price of €180 I expect something different!

We only had coffee and cake so I can only give an opinion on that. The hotel looks wonderful and the location is a dream. That's why we were shocked when we received "Coppenrath and Wiese" cake and a generous portion of cherry crumble. The cappuccino was also watery. Please change that because it doesn't fit at all. For the money you would expect homemade cakes.

We booked at short notice and you could tell from the first phone call; that the employees love their job and friendliness is very important. We then drove to this hotel in Bad Zwischenahn with great expectations. Our expectations were far exceeded. The Seehotel Fährhaus has something special just because of its location right on the sea and our room facing the lake was very nice. Not only the sunrise, for which I crawled out of the cozy bed, but in general it was a cozy hotel room with a wooden floor, a practical bathroom and a small refrigerator and kettle, so everything that contributes to that; to feel comfortable. The breakfast; that from 7 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.; was already unusual, it also had everything you could want for a healthy and delicious start to the day. The friendliness of the staff, really in all areas; was just perfect for us. We would like to thank the entire Seehotel team and it was really fun staying with them and we will definitely be back. By the way, the swimming pool and sauna area are small but very nicely done and sufficient for a fit break.

The location is very nice. I don't know the rooms because I didn't stay there. This young person who served us should be sent back for further training.

Unfortunately this time the hotel was very full. So I didn't use the swimming pool and sauna. On my other stays I had a double room for single use. That wasn't possible this time. The single room was very, very small.

I can't even say how much I liked it, fearing that next time all the rooms would be full. Very professionally managed, everything was always in tip top condition. Breakfast a culinary feast for the eyes. The staff very helpful

Even after the change of ownership, I still really like the hotel. Excellent location, beautiful view, great breakfast and very nice staff. I always enjoy visiting Bad Zwischenahn, a beautiful little town with nice shops, lots of events and great restaurants. In addition, the Zwischenahn er Meer is simply beautiful, even if I am usually drawn to the real sea. Particularly worth mentioning is the great wellness offer at the Seehotel Fährhaus. I always enjoy spending a few days there.

It was a very pleasant stay! We were able to use the wellness area and relax in peace in the evenings! The breakfast buffet was nicely prepared with everything you need. The service staff seemed pretty annoyed and bored (except for one young lady who was very accommodating)!

A very pleasant welcome upon arrival

Like every year before Christmas, we came to Bad Zwischenahn for a few days and always stayed at Hansen. This time we chose the Seehotel. The room was in the best location, 1/2 point deduction for the bed, the headboard was not adjustable and unfortunately a corresponding wedge pillow was not available. The evening menu was very good. The breakfast buffet is standard for the class. The self-service fully automatic coffee machine is very good, you can get that elsewhere, but you have to. order. The highlight is the swimming pool; you can pass the time here, especially when the weather is bad. You can quickly reach the city center or even the train station on foot. All in all recommended

Have been in this hotel for years and loved it. We had a room facing the lake which was nicely furnished and very clean. The breakfast also left nothing to be desired. What we miss a bit are the promotions that used to be available. Room special prices in the low season. Then we would probably visit this beautiful hotel much more often.

We had booked an Advent package - good program, everything was great. Very friendly staff, good location, great view if you book "lake side" (recommended), central location, a highly recommended kitchen and a useful SPA area. Only the organization in the breakfast area is a bit bumpy.

The shower leaked, leaving a puddle on the floor every time. Otherwise everything is good.

The food was (almost) a disappointment across the board. Only the service staff was friendly, attentive and extremely hard-working. Oversalted soup, stretched main course. Ready-made potatoes and no dessert on a menu. The cappuccino at the end was watery. All in all, unfortunately an overpriced disaster. Also very unkempt toilets in the basement. We are very disappointed. The prime lakeside location can't be topped, so it's definitely worth a little visit in summer for coffee and cake. Just not for us, there are so many better places to feel good. Too bad!

We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant on Sunday, a gift for my grandpa's 80th birthday. The view is really great, but the star is fine. The breakfast, however, was more than disappointing. Hardly any choice, carelessly prepared and there was hardly any follow-up. The coffee machine was broken and no replacement was offered. The used plates at the table were also not cleared away properly. In summary it was really not good and the price was outrageous for what was on offer. There was no concession either.

The hotel has a unique location right on the lake. From the large lakeside terrace you have a great view of the Zwischenahner Meer. Our room was equipped with air conditioning and mosquito protection. Bathrobes and additional bath towels were also available. The breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful, nothing was missing. We had booked half board with a 3-course menu, which also tasted great. The service and the entire staff were very friendly and competent. The area around Bad Zwischenahn is also very suitable for bicycle tours. Completed themed routes can be downloaded from Bad Zwischenahn Touristik as GPS data, or you can drive according to the junction system. It was a very nice short vacation in a great hotel.

Fantastic location by the sea. Food delicious. Service nice. Unfortunately, it takes a very long time during operation and customer requests are then not passed on from colleague to colleague. Otherwise everything is good.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location - you can relax on the hotel balcony or outside on the terrace, and it's just a few steps to shops and restaurants. The staff is not only friendly but very warm. The breakfast is very extensive and left nothing to be desired for me - the option of a late breakfast is great. I felt completely comfortable and recovered very well. Will definitely come back.

Room very dark and without air conditioning is no longer up to date with the outside temperature at 32 degrees. We couldn't open the window because the smoke from the neighboring balcony moved directly into the room. Breakfast service tried very hard, unfortunately the fully automatic coffee machine was broken for two days, so there was no specialty coffee. If you want to drink a wine on the terrace right by the water (very nice location), you have to get it yourself, as there is a shortage of skilled workers here too. However, the price is charged in full (0.2l for 9€). Beautiful sun terrace

We were here as a group. I would give even more stars for the service. Very attentive and loving. We immediately felt comfortable. The view...a dream. The food was very good. The waiters were very, very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Way, way too expensive. Parking a disaster. To reach elevator go up 6 steps,no one helps an elderly person. Room very basic, no air conditioning or fan, no coffee or tea facilities, empty mini bar, room cleaned every three days. How dare they for 190 euros. Breakfast simple. No, never and never again. Money wasted.

A very nice hotel, great location, right on the Zwischenahner Meer. Very quiet and yet very close to the center. Restaurants and the town can be reached quickly on foot. Likewise the beautiful spa park. The hotel has an extremely beautiful terrace right by the sea. There are enough free parking spaces. There is also a garage for storing any bicycles you may have with you. The breakfast buffet is rich and very good. We didn't try the menus offered by the hotel. But they looked good. Our room was spacious and well furnished. The room was clean upon arrival on Sunday, but was then not cleaned until Wednesday, which the hotel management attributed to a very high level of sickness at that time (can happen). Necessary items or similar items could be ordered at the hotel reception during this time and were brought to the room very quickly. From Thursday the room was cleaned every day again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can fully recommend the hotel and would choose it again at any time.

Today we stopped there for a drink in full bike gear. We had the first table at the front on the jetty with the best view of the water and were served very friendly.

The location is very nice. Directly on the shore of the Zwischenahner Meer. At the breakfast buffet everything is fresh and plentiful. However, our room hasn't been cleaned since Monday and today it's already Wednesday. Reason: Due to illness, the rooms cannot be cleaned. If anything is needed, you can contact reception. The terrace is only served from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. After that, self-service is the order of the day. The bar in the hotel is not open at all and is closed. No one can say how long this will be the case. So self-service is also recommended in the evening if you want to have a drink on the terrace facing the lake. All in all: It's a shame that we can't find suitable staff for the service and that the rooms have been dirty for 3 days and will probably remain uncleaned until the end of our trip.

Very nice hotel right on the Zwischenahner Meer, great swimming area, very nice and helpful staff in all areas, the bathroom in room 204 is unfortunately very small and narrow.

An absolute dream location, very friendly staff even when there was a lot to do. Everything was clean except for my balcony. All of the cobwebs were missing and the flooring wasn't very pleasant to enjoy the view. Breakfast everything fresh and delicious.

I was there with my 5 girls and can only recommend the hotel. We were all very satisfied and felt completely comfortable. The entire team was very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was fantastic and left nothing to be desired.

At the end of our girls' weekend we had a spa day with breakfast. Since we didn't stay here, we can't say anything about it. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, there was a large selection and it was constantly being replenished. Hot drinks were also included. The spa area is small but very nice. This Sunday we had it all to ourselves. The staff is very friendly and also fulfilled our special requests. Only the lady offering the massage should change something in her communication. We requested massages through the hotel in advance and received no response. We also spoke to the lady twice. After further inquiries about the hotel, we received a call back from her with the statement: "She would have contacted us if there had been capacity." She could have told us this more promptly without repeated requests. Apart from that, we can't say anything negative.

We have only had good experiences. Friendly staff...very good cuisine...rooms clean and well equipped. Swimming pool at a good temperature as is the whirlpool. We will be back...
