Great atmosphere. Super friendly staff and truly delicious food. Simply top-notch and highly recommended.

We were here for breakfast today, Sunday, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything was delicious, very high quality, and left nothing to be desired. The ambiance is very welcoming, the service excellent, and the location is also great with ample parking.

Service was very nice... for me the chairs were very hard and the rabbit leg unfortunately had a bit too much salt.

The cutlet and potatoes were perfectly prepared, really juicy, and well seasoned! The vegetables were much too soft for our liking, and the potato pancakes were unseasoned.

We were here for breakfast today (Sunday) and were very pleased. There was a rich and high-quality breakfast buffet (no tiered stands at the table) for €26 per person, including potted coffee, tea, juices, and water. Fried and scrambled eggs could be ordered freshly prepared at your table.

Nice atmosphere in an old pigpen. A selection of game dishes (if you don't like that, you're in for a tough one). And a large selection of liqueurs and brandies. I'd gladly go back.

We tried to reserve a table for 12 people for coffee and cake about 10 weeks in advance. The employee said we could try, but they couldn't make a firm reservation. We can't do anything with that. You might end up standing there and not having a seat. Apparently, other guests take the reservation signs. So we don't want to bother you any further and have found a wonderful alternative in Zwischenahn. Thank you for nothing!! Regarding their response: That's not true! You shouldn't twist it. Why would we cancel the table if we had received a firm confirmation from you? We would have loved to come to you, but we were clearly told: We'll do our best but can't guarantee anything! And ultimately, it doesn't matter to us which table you sit at. Just stick to what the employees say!

We were there on Sunday. It was incredibly delicious and the service was very friendly. It's exactly what you'd expect.

We were there for lunch today. My wife had herring, housewife-style. Two fillets, housewife-style, with potatoes, cost over €20, which is a good price. My schnitzel with a thin cream sauce and canned mushrooms, also over €20, seemed a bit excessive. We were expecting something different.

Highly recommended. We were booked for a coffee break with 12 people. Everything was already set, and coffee and tea were on the table. The cake (5 or 6 varieties) were brought as soon as we arrived. We had delicious cake. Nice atmosphere and staff. Since we were invited by family, I can't comment on the prices. We would be happy to come back.

The location is simply beautiful, both inside and out. We were here on vacation and have been there twice over the years. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but at least the quality has always been good. This time, we were unfortunately disappointed, as we had to wait a very long time for the food, and unfortunately, it was lukewarm (burgers). They also charge €1.90 each for ketchup and mayo. That's completely excessive, considering the product and the fact that you don't get a large amount. Furthermore, some information about the longer wait time would have been expected. The waiter also seemed very stressed, but was still very friendly to us. But after we expressed our criticism regarding the wait time and the quality of the food, we were met with a brief "it's not our fault." At this price point, you'd expect a bit more. A real shame!

We've enjoyed eating here for years whenever we're in the area. That issue has been resolved as of today. Context: We stopped by again today around lunchtime. The restaurant wasn't even half full. A look at the menu and the current prices already put us off slightly. 2 herring fillets with a side dish for €22? A look at the current menu and the prices from today and from 1, 2, or 3 years ago (see pictures from previous reviews) shows a radical price increase. Yes, quality has its price, and so does service. No question about it. But they're now trying to play in the top league at a very low level and milking the cow (the customer) vigorously. Well, if only it tasted good and the service was decent. But it isn't! We had, among other things, the pulled venison burger for €23: Wait time about 50 minutes! Wild burger: pulled meat portion, maximum 80 grams – lukewarm – tasted indefinably saturated with red cabbage juice. Instead, a fried egg, not mentioned on the menu, on top. Pre-made and soggy burger bun. The sweet potato fries were okay, hot, but half weren't cooked all the way through. There was also a kids' schnitzel for €14 (!): Okay portion. It came in a cafeteria-style, uninspired way with fries and carrots/peas. Oh well. Upon request, they brought a small portion of ketchup and mayo each. Then it was edible for the kids, too. Now for the crowning glory: Feeling anything but enthusiastic and with half-full plates (burgers), I paid at the counter. Since no one asked if we were satisfied, we paid first. But after I saw on the receipt that the staff had charged an additional €1.90 each for ketchup and mayo – a total of €3.80 – my patience was at an end. My complaint, based on the facts, was met with some perplexity, and they pointed out that they were only providing service and couldn't do anything about it. I was welcome to report it to the manager. I was very happy to do so. But he was too busy hiding in his kitchen, so my criticism remained unanswered. I also pointed out that I was sorry the service staff had to take the blame, but that the manager also has to take the blame. The service staff's reaction speaks volumes, and it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident for us.

We visited a friend in Bad Zwischenahn. She's a frequent guest at this beautiful restaurant. We were all very satisfied. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly...the atmosphere...was simply inviting. Hopefully, it stays this way. We definitely recommend it!

The restaurant is stylishly decorated. It's a very charming old farmhouse. We had the bacon-wrapped chicken for €27.90. Unfortunately, the taste and appearance weren't worth the money. Charging €1.90 for ketchup on a children's plate is cheeky.

The restaurant has a very nice and pleasant atmosphere, but the air inside was unfortunately very humid, making it too warm. It would have helped if a few more windows had been opened, or if the large gate had been left open to let in some fresh air. The food was good, but unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right. The prices didn't reflect the portions or the taste.

A well-maintained, visually appealing establishment in the somewhat upscale (price) range on the outskirts of B'Zwischenahn! The farm isn't open all week. You should check the website in advance and make a reservation, especially in fall/winter when the outdoor area isn't available, as the restaurant is consistently busy. Breakfast is also offered, but we haven't tried it yet. The farm is located directly across from Ahrenshof and offers very good parking, but is also easily accessible by bike. The property is very well maintained and surrounded by tall trees (oaks). The entire establishment is barrier-free, and there is also a disabled-accessible restroom. There is also a cake and pastry shop with separate opening hours. You can get delicious cakes and pastries here! The former stable is really well designed, spacious, and completely open. The noise level, especially when it's full, is usually acceptable. Now in summer, the outdoor area is also open, which has been very spaciously laid out. It's a great place to sit. Street noise is barely noticeable, as it's set back from the restaurant. At the outer edge, there's a relatively small outdoor area with chickens - otherwise, cultivated fields. The current menu and useful information are available at any time on the website. The food was and still is (last visit mid-July 2025) simply delicious and also visually very appealing. There's always a daily specials menu and an overview of the standard dishes. Among other things, you can choose from meat dishes that you don't find everywhere (such as hare leg, venison schnitzel, or meat roulades)! The drinks menu is decent and sufficient. The current partner for Coke/Cola and similar drinks is fritz-kola GmbH from Hamburg. The service is always friendly and prompt, and the wait for the food is absolutely acceptable. The food itself is mostly served piping hot, and side dishes (like a salad) are served beforehand. You'll definitely be full, although truly famished visitors might not be completely satisfied (see photos). We saw some guests leaving with their plates half-empty. The desserts are incredibly delicious, but not lavish, and the prices are high. Cashless payment with all types of cards is accepted. If there were one complaint, it would be that the waiter could come by more often and ask questions—but that's really complaining at a high level. We're always happy to come back! I highly recommend the farm!

A truly beautiful and quaint property, with good food and a lovely atmosphere. When the weather is nice, you can even sit outside. We'd love to go back.

We were here for breakfast today. The ambiance and the breakfast itself were great. We were especially impressed by the freshly baked bread. Homemade meat salad, fruit, cheese, and sausage. Everything was excellent. The only thing that briefly left us speechless was the employee's response to my daughter's question about oat milk. She is lactose intolerant. The answer: No, we don't have that here. We are a traditional business and don't offer that kind of thing. Anyone can come. I then asked again about lactose-free milk. Again, the tradition was pointed out. No offense, but unfortunately, it's not that rare these days for someone to be lactose intolerant. Perhaps they could consider offering something like that. We were still satisfied, but the statement "anyone can come" briefly shocked us. We've added the saying "very traditional" to our collection of family business sayings and had a very enjoyable breakfast.

Beautiful property with a large beer garden, and a bakery next door that serves good cakes. Four of us went there for dinner! Following the waiter's recommendation, we opted for the leg of rabbit. When I asked if it was filling, he just said not to worry! We all really enjoyed it and there was plenty of it. We ordered more sauce, which was really good! Wir waren mit Freunden dort und weit mehr als 2 Paaren. Jetzt zur Spargelzeit gönnten sich die meisten natürlich Spargel. 1 Pfund (500g) kamen punktgenau gegart auf den Tisch. Aber: Meine Frau und ich gönnen uns immer jeweils 1 Pfund je Person und wissen, wieviel Stangen das sind und wie dick. Die angepriesene Menge entsprach knapp über der halben Menge. Wir arbeiteten es zu Hause nach und hatten bei gleich vielen, aber dickeren Stangen lediglich knapp über 300 g. Obwohl der Spargel zwar geschält ist, aber auch voller Wasser ist! Außerdem beklagten sich mehrere über gummiartige Kartoffeln (noch mal warm gemacht?) und über schwarze Stellen. Früher war die Qualität hier viel besser, uns sehen sie aber jetzt nicht wieder.

It's Easter and therefore only the card is available. All understandable, but we should have been made aware of this when we made the reservation at the beginning of March. You look at the card on the internet and choose something, but then only the Easter card. There are no drinks on there and there is no separate drinks menu. And the game ragout is not recommended, but everything else was very good.

We were in this restaurant today for the first and actually for the last time. I ordered the pulled game burger with sweet potato fries and truffle mayonnaise, which unfortunately had nothing to do with what was stated on the menu. The burger bun was dry, the game meat could not be identified, only marginally present and not described in detail on the menu. A fried egg was also placed on the burger, which was not specified on the menu. I'm actually at a loss for words about the menu because it was very unappetizing. Unfortunately, the fries were burnt and the truffle mayonnaise had no truffle flavor at all. It's clear that you shouldn't expect a real truffle for €21.90, but every truffle oil has more aroma. When it came to payment, I wanted to pay separately. After some difficulties with the math, I was asked to do the math myself when asked by the operator. Definitely not worth a second visit!

I had dinner with my family last weekend, we will never go back there. The management is very unpleasant, they don't respect the guests and yell at the employees. The meat was old and raw. I don't recommend going there if the cuisine was top notch, I'm at a loss for words now.

We had hare leg with red cabbage and potatoes, as well as duck with Schupfnudeln. Both very tasty. The hare from our own hunt in particular deserves six out of five points. The cloudy and dark Hofbier are also very tasty and balanced.

We had our small wedding celebration there with you and we were all totally satisfied. The management is also super nice, always responded quickly to all emails when I needed to clarify something, etc. The food was fantastic, our guests were also totally impressed. The service was also great, very accommodating and nice. We sat in the living room so we had some peace and quiet (maybe you could put a small music system in there so it wasn't too quiet... we simply used a cell phone to have some music in the background). At any time, really at any time, I would like to come back here to have such a delicious dinner. The ambience of Scholjegerdes Hof is simply convincing inside and out. Such a lovingly designed guest room immediately invites you in and the staff was really great - very hospitable but also attentive and professional at all times. My duck was really tender and the red cabbage went very well with the whole plate. We are in Bad Zwischenahn every year and I think next year we will only come to you in the evenings - your kitchen offers too many exciting dishes. Thank you, really thank you for this lovely experience.

The Scholjegerdes farm suffers greatly from a lack of staff. The opening times have already been significantly restricted. We were there on a Friday afternoon at prime coffee time. There were only a few tables occupied and the service was noticeably weaker. We hope that the beautiful company survives this difficult time.

We went to Scholjegerdes Hof for breakfast today on Sunday. Was received very friendly. We had reserved a table. Very nicely prepared. Everything was very tasty. Coffee very good. There was everything you could want for breakfast. Also all regional products. There were many more guests, but that didn't bother us. We can highly recommend it and would be happy to come back.

Simply good, we went there several times, including for dinner with friends. It works and it tastes good. The eye also has work to do.

Every year we like to come to the Scholjegerdes Hof on our long weekend in Bad Zwischenahn. Unfortunately for the last time. Maybe it's a bit naive, but we didn't really realize that I have to be very, very careful when eating a hare's back. So when I took my first bite I went straight to a steel!!!! Scrap ball bitten - filling or tooth is broken. My dentist will probably tell me that next week. Conclusion: I no longer eat rabbit dishes, I advise all other guests to be careful. Otherwise there is and was nothing to complain about with the rest of the meal.
