Absolutely a rare gem. Next to one of the most popular places in Tübingen, the "prancing pony" is the insider alternative for those who like good beer, surprising finger food (try the giant pickle!), Tolkien, and good conversations (no loud music, so you can actually hear each other).

The restaurant is absolutely recommended. Never before have I tasted such a tender and tasty cordon bleu. The roast and dessert were also the finest. Then you're happy to spend a little more 😉

Very modern, clean restaurant, with very friendly staff and great service. You can park relatively close to the restaurant. The prices are very fair for the generous portions. Appetizer platter for 2 was great! The grill platter for 2 was plentiful and tasted great! Rice and fries were also very good. The only criticism I have is that the meat was on the grill a little too long, so it was a little black and partly dry. This can happen, but it shouldn't. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been a solid 5 stars!

We had a wonderful meal in a great environment - we know this restaurant - but I didn't find the person who served us appreciative in communication when I said that the main course was taking a long time (40 minutes of waiting time during the lunch break ). Here he clearly crossed the line of respect for me. He shot the bird when he and his colleague were making fun of us. Too bad and bitter.

First of all, the operators are super friendly and child-friendly. We had delicious bratwurst with great potato salad and apple strudel. Everything was delicious. Good cider spritzer and reasonable prices in a rustic atmosphere.

Elegant country restaurant. High quality food and service. Even the afternoon snack menu had a lot of choice, including hot dishes. The location is also cool, a long walk through the forest and then right next to a beautiful monastery

Had dinner there yesterday with a business partner. His bifteki was probably good. My gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce was not properly gratinated. The cheese had just started to melt and I could still see almost all of the individual cheese barrels. Service was good so far

The ambiance and service were excellent! It's beautifully decorated, and the service is extremely friendly and very fast. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre. I'll definitely be back for drinks :).

Hot chocolate was so bad, cold and had no chocolate or cocoa at all, just tasted like sugar.

delicious Leberkäs with great and crispy fried potatoes. Super delicious. A star deduction for the ambience for the pitiful water pressure in the sinks in the men's toilet. But otherwise everything was tip-top. Gladly again. 🫶
