Max-Planck-Haus in Tübingen

Had dinner there yesterday with a business partner. His bifteki was probably good. My gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce was not properly gratinated. The cheese had just started to melt and I could still see almost all of the individual cheese barrels. Service was good so far

Okay, the truffle cheese spaetzle are definitely worth the internet hype! Beautiful location, pleasant service, that's it!

Great food, but unfortunately, portions are getting smaller and prices are rising. If I'm paying €9, I expect the bowl I bring with me to be quite full.

Wow! My wife and I broke bread with a friend we hadn't seen in 41 years! A family environment like this place offers is outstanding for such a reunion. There were five of us as our friend brought along his son and nephew. We ordered several plates of appetizers to get us going. The florinis were the best I ever had. My wife thought the same of the eggplant salad. We also really enjoyed a platter of fried calamari, saganaki in a tomato sauce, and a salad. After this round, we ordered a platter of pork skewers that were juicy and perfectly grilled. These were accompanied by pommes frites and tzatziki. The only dish that was not exceptional was the grilled octopus. While it was tasty, it was just a bit overdone. Still, we ate the entire portion. Our food was eaten along with some wine and beer as we talked for a couple of hours. The service was attentive and friendly. This was one of the nicest Greek meals my wife and I have enjoyed in a while. I do have to warn you that this is a cash only place. Luckily, I had my hidden 100 Euro bill to save the night. This is a must if you desire Greek food. Oopa, as the meal concluded with a complimentary shot of Ouzo!

I've been back for the first time in a long time. I was really impressed. The staff was still top-notch, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the beer garden was fantastic. Keep up the good work, you're doing a fantastic job.
