Max-Planck-Haus in Tübingen

Very nice house & upscale restaurant with a well-kept and cozy atmosphere right next to the Bebenhausen monastery in the middle of Schönbuch. Very good quality food, beautifully presented. Not exactly cheap though...

Had dinner there yesterday with a business partner. His bifteki was probably good. My gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce was not properly gratinated. The cheese had just started to melt and I could still see almost all of the individual cheese barrels. Service was good so far

We dined there with family and our witnesses after our civil wedding in September last year. Everything was wonderful both in the preparation and on the day itself! We had great hours in the plow and come to eat regularly. You can be sure that all dishes are homemade and fresh. A special highlight is the homemade pasta. Definitely try it when you are in Tübingen.

Fresh vegetables and many possible combinations, and the portions are okay, Junior Bowl is enough! The Langos with Nutella are also very tasty!

I've never been charged for tap water - only there. Friends had already recommended the 1821 to me; they found it good during the week. We were there as a group of 7 on a Saturday and then sat at a large table with another group. The toilets were dirty (both men's and women's). The main course (the roast) came 10 minutes before the side dish (Spätzle). When paying we were informed for the first time that card payment was not working due to an internet outage. This should have been communicated straight away. Just like the point that tap water costs - this was not explicitly mentioned when ordering, nor was it listed on the menu. This has never happened to me in Germany, where I am charged €6.80 for 2 carafes of water. Which I also find the price, considering what it is calculated, to be really a lot and very disproportionate. I then canceled the next reservation for a larger group.
