I would like to share my experience of today's visit with you. The food and ambiance were, as always, very nice. On my first visit, I chose the Osaka menu, and today I chose the Kyoto menu. What disappointed me again, however, was the birthday treat. This is the second time I've mentioned it was my wife's birthday when making a reservation before arriving, and each time I've been promised a small treat with dessert. Unfortunately, nothing happened again. Perhaps this could be a note for you and your team. Just note down the special features of the guests somewhere. It's difficult when I want to surprise my wife and come to the restaurant to inform the waiters again that it's my wife's birthday. That would ruin the surprise. In the future, I would definitely choose a different restaurant to surprise my wife. I hope you can put yourself in my shoes, especially if it's the second time and you pay hundreds of euros for each visit.

Sushi is of high quality and tastes very good, therefore a little more expensive than other restaurants. But you can treat yourself

Danke an das ganze Team für einen wunderbaren Abend, an dem alles gestimmt hat: der nette Empfang und aufmerksame Service, die perfekte Zusammenstellung des Sharing Dinner und die sehr gute Weinauswahl - auch alkoholfrei! Wir können das Restaurant weiterempfehlen und es ist eine wirkliche Bereicherung für den Stadtteil.

Stuck in the 90s 🥹 The Shemesh Restaurant in Düsseldorf initially presents itself with an inviting, if somewhat cliched, “oriental” immigrant atmosphere - lots of decor, little substance. The service was friendly, but not attentive. The food itself can best be described as mediocre: neither particularly fine-tuned nor memorable in terms of taste. For the high prices, I would have expected much more sophistication - both in preparation and presentation. What struck me as particularly unpleasant was the background music. The old-fashioned selection seemed out of date and gave more the impression of a nostalgic family celebration from the 90s than of a modern, urban restaurant. Conclusion: If you are looking for a somewhat folkloristic atmosphere and are satisfied with average cuisine and a high price level, you might want to spend an evening here.

Very nice staff welcomed us here. Quite a big shop. It was wonderfully empty during our time. Menu was explained in detail. Hot dishes were all good. Had soup, vegetables, crispy chicken and sushi. But we already have the sushi clearly! eaten better. The remaining dishes were hot (as they should be) and tasty. However, in my opinion, the card is not a highlight. The shop is well maintained, the toilets are clean but the menus are dirty and sticky. You're welcome to swap them out.

The food is incredibly delicious. The sushi selection is huge. Service is fast and uncomplicated. The ambiance is dreamy. We love coming here.

As always, the Vietnamese delicacies are very fresh and delicious, with attentive service – we were filled to the brim. Great!

Loveless and without esprit. Presumably, if at all, lives on old glory. Mentioned in the Michelin Guide until 2021. Very good location but only 2 tables occupied on Friday evening at prime time. Had something of a ghostly atmosphere. The service was very nice and helpful, the tables looked like they were in a retirement home canteen. Creepy. The menu is boring and unimaginative. The food, beef fillet was excellent in quality and preparation. The recommendation of the day, turbot very solidly prepared, good quality fish, a bit overcooked. The side dishes all and particularly forgettable. The tartar as a starter looks nice, but more of a blender than good tartar. The cocktails were very good. Wine recommendation OK. Sorry, but it's not surprising that the place was empty. No repeater.
