We were here for lunch. Cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn in absolutely generous portions and super delicious. With a great view of the lake. 4 main courses plus a drink and an espresso each cost around 100 euros. We spontaneously got stranded here and would come back at any time.

I was there for breakfast. The food and drinks were perfectly fine. The atmosphere was cozy. I was the only customer there and thought the service could have been a bit friendlier. Unfortunately, there wasn't even a smile on my face, and I thanked them every time and also tipped them. Maybe I was just having a bad day, it happens.

"Oven om Dönberg" is located on a country road, yet still idyllically situated, is the Landhaus Ewich. Just as it is in the Bergisches Land, slate-paneled under trees, with an inviting little garden in front of the house. We had ordered for 17 people and were greeted by a fully set Bergisches Land coffee table, where nothing was missing. Even the Indian blue of the dishes matched perfectly, as did the Dröppelminna (drinking mint) that sat decoratively in the middle of the table. Fast, friendly, and attentive service; everything was delicious. The waffles came as a "second round" and were complemented with cream and cherries upon request (for an extra charge). We were all thoroughly satisfied and felt at home, even though the "Schnäppsken" listed on the menu was missing.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice and inviting - modern, cozy and with a large vegan selection on the menu, which I noticed very positively. The prices are also absolutely fair, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the evening didn't go smoothly. The starter took a long time to arrive and was unfortunately rather disappointing in terms of taste and appearance. While we were still busy with the starters, the main courses arrived - although not at the same time but with a difference of 5 minutes. The pizza was generously topped, but unfortunately so overloaded that the base in the middle became soft and soggy. In addition, the wrong type of pasta was served in one dish.

Great location, great food! And the ferry ride is also a highlight.
