Located on the edge of the Bürgerpark.

We were there for cake, and my cake was okay. The ambiance isn't my cup of tea. The painted portraits on the wall are a matter of taste, but the acoustics in the room aren't. It was difficult to have a conversation at the table.

An institution for 30 years or more. This time delicious cake and hot cocoa at ok prices

As always, we felt very comfortable here! Great food and great service. It's nice when you notice that they have fun at work! Thank you for the great time and for the many pots of warm milk☺️

The plates are getting bigger and the food portions are getting smaller! My last visit to Haus am Walde was very disappointing. Getting a dollop of sweet potato puree and a measly cabbage roll for 20 EUR is really cheeky. If ingredients such as mushrooms (in the cabbage roll dish) and spinach (in the pasta dish) are left out, it is very annoying. Receiving snarky comments when you point out the defects is not customer-friendly. The high volume in the Haus am Walde made things even more difficult. Absolutely no recommendation!

It was ok, but we won't eat there again. Price-performance ratio doesn't fit, the ambience inside is zero and the staff is friendly but feels overwhelmed.

Good location, for a rest at e.g. often used on a bike tour. In summer the outdoor area is always busy.

The reason for our visit was a cabbage drive. In the beginning, the service ran from the entire tables for the service staff (voluntary delivery), not much from the service. You were forced to get the drinks yourself. Something like that isn't possible at €75. You had to look for the meat in the starter soup, far too little, actually just broth. The cabbage could have used more seasoning. Meat was ok. The DJ deserves special mention, he knew how to play music for all age groups and thus created a good atmosphere.

Nice ambience, food delicious, service is good

We had a cabbage on the weekend, in a larger group. The house on the forest was unfortunately very disappointing for me this time! Rarely have we been offered such a bad cabbage meal, insufficiently seasoned or not seasoned at all, and the taste is not convincing at all. Service good and the owner himself, I'm at a loss for words. He attacked me for no reason in front of everyone at the table, friends stepped in to mediate, to no avail, then he went to the next table within the group and spread even more unpleasantness! As you can imagine, the mood was initially low. As I can tell from the reviews, it's not the first time it's happened... It's a shame, I used to come here regularly, because the atmosphere is actually quite nice... I can't recommend it anymore.

Ein Restaurant in netter Umgebung und mit guter Küche. Die Speisekarte ist nicht überladen, bietet aber den meisten Gelüsten etwas. Im Sommer ist der Biergarten immer einen Besuch wird. Auch regelmäßige Livekonzerte finden viele Besucher. Zu den Rushhours wird es auch auf dem Parkplatz sehr überfüllt.

Great company party in Haus am Walde! To start with, the fire bowl was set up outside on the terrace in cold weather, along with a warm drink. We then enjoyed the meal at a long table inside. My fall salad with goat cheese was delicious! Plus friendly and fast service. Perfect!

Today we had breakfast at Haus am Walde – and we are thrilled! The service was friendly and the selection of breakfast variations left nothing to be desired. You could also order extras as desired. We opted for the small breakfast, supplemented by scrambled eggs and fresh fruit salad. As drinks we chose a hot chocolate and a latte, which are charged separately. We actually always like staying at Haus am Walde, especially since the staff is always, really always super nice (even today). Today we ordered from the lunch menu for the first time. My son had kale as a plate meal. The kale was overcooked and had a rather unpleasant consistency. It also appeared to have partially burned down. I had a Madras curry, which included seasonal vegetables as well as chickpeas, edamame and baby spinach. The dish mostly consisted of turmeric rice, a not so tasty sauce and leeks. From chickpeas. No trace of edamame or spinach at all. We were really disappointed today. Since we have really appreciated the restaurant for years, we would be happy if it tasted as good as it usually does next time.

I have been here many times as the ambience is very nice. Unfortunately the café is always only lukewarm.

I'm from Bremen and I really enjoy eating here. It's always delicious and the service is very attentive and friendly. The Haus am Walde is visually simply great and its location next to the park means you can go for a walk before or after. There are enough parking spaces available.

When I'm in Bremen, I have 2/3 places to go to eat. One of them is here. It's fun to spend your money here. In addition to the excellent menu and the great ambience, the restaurant team is remarkable. In a good mood, attentive and ready for a snack.

I ordered a steak and was unfortunately a bit disappointed with it. It was very small and I imagine medium size to be something different. For the price I expected something different.

I ordered the rump steak 220 grams for the exorbitant price of just under €35. When the whole thing arrived, the steak was not medium rare as requested but rather well done. The meat was rather tough instead of tender. When it comes to mayonnaise, the store thinks it is particularly special and serves chilli mayonnaise instead of mayonnaise. The mushrooms were ok but without any delicious sauce or seasoning. The herb butter also had a special taste that didn't harmonize with the steak. The service was fine and the ambience was very nice. Prices are too expensive. If I had to choose between disgusting and delicious, this dish would fail with a rating of disgusting. Probably only over 60 people go to a restaurant like this.

My favorite restaurant in Bremen! From breakfast it goes seamlessly to lunch, then to coffee and finally to dinner! And that seven days a week! And in summer the beer garden is so beautiful too...

Ich bin diesen Sommer mit meiner Frau fast 10 Mal dort eingekehrt. Meistens haben wir im Garten gesessen und haben es sehr genossen. Es war oft der „ältere“ Kellner, der uns bedient hat. Alte Schule, würden wir sagen. Wir trinken nun gern sehr kalten Weißwein, das hat er sofort verstanden, den Röhrenkühler wieder mitgenommen und uns sofort einen richtigen Kühler mit Eis und Wasser gebracht. Und noch etwas Eis extra in einem großen Glas. Perfekt. Beim nächsten Mal hat er uns gleich erkannt und uns sofort einen richtigen Kühler gebracht. Seine etwa gleichaltrige Kollegin tat es ihm bei unseren nächsten Besuchen gleich. Nun hatte ich mich mit meiner Nichte am 14.10. zum Mittag dort verabredet. Ich freute mich sehr auf dieses Treffen. Ich traf als erster ein und ging zur Theke, um zu fragen, ob ich mir einen Tisch aussuchen könne. Der Barmann fragte „haben Sie eine Frage“. Ja, kann ich mir einen Tisch aussuchen, fragte ich. Mit wenig Freundlichkeit bejahte er dieses. Es kam dann eine junge, blonde Frau mit Kurzhaarschnitt und brachte mir die Speisekarte. Ich bestellte eine Flasche Mineralwasser und eine Flasche Weißwein mit der höflichen Bitte, mir einen richtigen Kühler mit Eis und Wasser zu bringen. Zwischendurch fragte ich noch, ob es vielleicht auch eine Abendkarte gäbe, aus der man vielleicht bestellen dürfte. „Dann hätte ich Ihnen die gebracht“, war die unfreundliche Antwort mit unschönem Gesichtsausdruck. Dann kam der Wein im Röhrenkühler. Immer noch freundlich weiß ich darauf hin, das ich um einen Kühler mit Eis und Wasser gebeten hatte. „Im Röhrenkühler ist ja Eis“, kam es jetzt pampig. Auf meine erneute Bitte, mir einen „richtigen“ Kühler zu bringen“, hieß es dann, „haben wir nicht“. Ich zeigte auf den Kühler, der auf der Theke stand. Nun wurde sie heftig und bezichtete mich ihr gegenüber unhöflich zu sein und das sie sich das nicht bieten lassen würde. Ich habe ihr dann gesagt, ich gehe jetzt nach Hause. Das hielt sie aber nicht auf, laut durch das ganze Restaurant ihren Unmut auszulassen. Als ich auf dem Weg nach draußen war, kam mir die „ältere“ Kellnerin entgegen. Ich fragte Sie an welchen Tischen sie bedient. Wieder kam die junge Bedienung und raunzte sehr laut dazwischen, das ich mich von ihr ja nicht bedienen lassen wolle. Richtig, nie wieder! Ich setzte mich dann an einen anderen Tisch. Ich war hochgradig erregt, als meine Nichte eintraf. Die junge Bedienung hat sich dann an den Nachbartisch zu zwei Damen meines ersten Tisch gesetzt und alle drei haben, während sie redete, unentwegt mich angesehen. Auch danach schaute sie mich auf ihren Gängen unentwegt arrogant an. Mit Ihren Kellner Kollegen suchte sie ständig den Austausch und sah zu mir herüber. Ich war sicher, das die Restaurantleiterin sich im Gastraum aufhielt, auch saß sie zeitweise an unserem Nachbartisch. Sie hat mich nicht angesprochen, um die Sache zu deeskallieren. Später kam noch ein jüngerer Kellner, der alles perfekt gemacht hat. Meine email an den Geschäftsführer, mit Bitte um Rücksprache, wurde aber von der Restaurantleiterin beantwortet, die es ja schon vor Ort nicht für notwendig hielt, eine Klärung herbeizuführen. Oder sich gar für das Verhalten ihrer Mitarbeiterin bei mir zu entschuldigen. Solche bedienenden Menschen, die keinen Respekt vor Rentnern haben, deren Wünsche ignorieren, keine Art von Erziehung zeigen, laut ihren Unmut durch das ganze Restaurant rufen, braucht die ganze Gastronomie nicht und deren Gäste auch nicht. Dann lieber drei Ruhetage oder Roboter, die mich bedienen. Nun, 15 Tage nach meiner Bitte nach einem Rückruf des GF, dem ich meine Unzufriedenheit mitteilen wollte, braucht mich niemand aus dem Hause mehr anzurufen.

The selection is quite good but the prices are very high. At least twice as expensive as here in Vechta with a comparable selection and quality. I waited over half an hour for the bottle of water I ordered.

Bei einem Ausflug besuchte ich mit einem Freund mittags das Lokal, bekam einen guten und preiswerten Mittagstisch mit freundlicher Bedienung und gutem Getränkeangebot. Hier kann jeder etwas finden und wird zufrieden sein, ohne viel Geld zu lassen. Besonders bei schönem Wetter auch draußen zu empfehlen.

Had dinner there for two last night. The ambience in the older part was very nice, in the large newer part it was a bit like a youth hostel. The food was very good. But... the service - a young lady and the only female service that evening - seemed very snooty and very unmotivated. My companion constantly ignored her. It's a shame that I didn't read the many bad reviews here beforehand...Guests are not beggars, but pay the salary!

A very nice evening in a larger group with delicious food and attentive service was unfortunately ruined by the drunk and bullying manager of Haus am Walde. Even when the misunderstanding he was caught in was cleared up, instead of apologizing and giving us a round on the house for his absolutely unbecoming behavior, he continued to rant and then threw us out. Unfortunately, I observed a very unpleasant situation in Haus am Walde last night. The manager became abusive towards a guest, a woman. She clearly wanted to clarify the situation. But he suddenly became loud, brought his face within a few centimeters of her and grabbed her arm. He entertained part of the restaurant with loud, confused accusations; it seemed to me as if he could be drunk. I found that a shocking way of dealing with people and I won't go there again.

We were here at a company party. Drinks, food and service were great. At 10:30 p.m. the manager shows up drunk and attacks one of our employees with male dominance behavior, even though everything had been agreed upon with the other employees. Very unpleasant for us and obviously embarrassing for the employees at Haus am Walde.

Leider konnten wir unseren Jahrestag nicht feiern. Auf der Google Infoseite waren leider Falsche Angaben hinterlegt 🙁 Eingang und WC . Ich als ♿️Pilot achte da sehr drauf. (wurde bereits angepasst) Das Restaurant ist leider nicht barrierefrei! Es hätte aber Hilfe zum eintreten angeboten werden können durch eine Angestellte. Ich hätte mich gefreut wenn es bei der Reservierung schon erwähnt worden wäre.

We went to Haus am Walde for breakfast. It was very tasty and plentiful. The staff is super nice and friendly and tries to fulfill all your wishes. We can recommend Haus am Walde to everyone. It was really great.

The chanterelles and scrambled eggs were very tasty. Unfortunately the fried potatoes were very greasy and old, so they weren't that tasty. Very nice service 😊

I stopped at the “Haus am Walde” with my partner as part of a bike tour. We had a vegetarian tarte flambée and a beer. The atmosphere in the beer garden was very appealing and cozy!

Very nice, quick-witted service from the head waiter or head waiter, I don't know his job title, but it doesn't matter, he was just good... We sat very well and protected from the wind near the entrance on a hedge. The coffee and the respective cake were perfect.

Very cozy outdoor terrace that invites you to linger. Friendly and attentive service. Unfortunately the food is rather bad. Completely unseasoned, sometimes cooked too soft. It's not at all a negative thing that the portions are too small. We had three different main courses and were not happy with any of them. The worst was the curry. The starter plate for 2 people is good quality, but WAY too expensive. We won't be coming back.

Unfortunately it was very disappointing! Haven't been here for a long time. Prices have skyrocketed and are disproportionate for what is ultimately on the plate. Rarely have such a bad breakfast been offered. Service, as often mentioned here, is quite arrogant and not customer-oriented. The dirty dishes stood in front of us for almost an hour, even though someone was constantly walking past our table. I was here last time and will visit other places for breakfast in the future. Putting a carafe of tap water on the table for €7.50 is really audacious. It's a shame I used to come here regularly... because the atmosphere is actually quite nice...

The service was friendly, but the time between serving the cake and the hot drinks was a bit long at 10 minutes. My piece of plum cake tasted good, but there was hardly any dough on one side. I wouldn't have served the piece to my guests like that.
