Very nice restaurant on the edge of the historic Schnoor district in Bremen. Typical local specialties on the menu. The food is ok. I had "Schnetzeltes Madagascar", which is not explained in detail on the menu. When asked, they said it was with a hot sauce with red pepper. From my point of view, I got sliced ​​meat with a (pepper), mushroom and leek sauce. It tasted good, but wasn't in the least something I would associate with "Madagascar" - more like the sauce from the pork medallions in pepper cream sauce. ;) The staff, on the other hand, were without exception attentive and friendly. P.S.: Offering Holsten in a “traditional Bremen restaurant” has to be digested first. ;) The quality is quite okay and the price-performance ratio is justified.

Admittedly, we can't say anything about the food because the kitchen was already closed. But the employee tried to look after us and even called colleagues to see if they still had warm food! In the end we had kebab instead of tourist trap which was absolutely ok in terms of price/performance. We will definitely stop here next time!

We were given a table after a long wait, even though the right part of the establishment was empty. After sitting down we were utterly ignored, while guests arriving after us were given the menu and served with drinks. I eventually had to loudly ask for the menu which was reluctantly given and saw their unappetising, but expensive choice. We left after telling the three [!] staff members that while we might be tourists, we should be treated with the same respect as their German clientele.

Discovered by chance on the way home. The food was really great and tasted really delicious. Hats off to the employees who seem to enjoy their jobs. I've felt good for a long time. The atmosphere is super cozy. I would love to come here again. Kind regards from Berlin and so on.

Today we had lunch there with two people. I have never seen Lapskaus charge 4 euros for matjes for 14.50 euros. When ordering you could choose between rollmops or matjes but there was no mention of the additional charge. We also ordered herring. Here the salad garnish was sandy (not washed or washed inadequately). The tables outside are too small for 4 people to eat.

Very cozy maritime ambience that fits in beautifully with the historical charm of the Schnoor. We were there with a larger group and everyone got their food quickly and at about the same time, which was simply delicious. If you want to try traditional Bremen dishes, this is the right place for you.

We have been visiting the restaurant for 40 years. We were there again on a Saturday with several foreign guests. There was a change of ownership a few months ago. We quickly discovered that the prices on the website did not match the prices in the restaurant. They are significantly higher. Overall, the prices are comparatively high. Much to our regret, the food was consistently not to our satisfaction. The side salad with the fish fillet consisted of a leaf of iceberg lettuce with canned tangerines. The fact that something like this still exists is more like the 1970s. The Büsum crabs were very cold ("fresh" from the package) and may have never been seen by Büsum. The salad side dish consisted of raw vegetables (carrots, beans, cucumber) from a can, scary. The fried potatoes with the dishes were also not tasty, soggy and tasteless. I haven't eaten such bad kale, garnished with pee, cooked sausage and miniature-sized smoked pork for a long time. I won't bother listing the individual dishes any further; they didn't meet our expectations in terms of taste or quality. The portions are also very small. We prefer fresh, good quality products; we can also buy ready-made products ourselves in the supermarket. By the way, it doesn't look good for children, because there's nothing suitable. Luckily our 10 year old boy made do with fried potatoes and 2 fried eggs for a mere €14.50. The restaurant is rustically furnished and the service is relaxed. Therefore a total of 2 points. You are welcome to go there for a draft beer, but I would advise against eating. And also from the seats near the entrance door, it is cold there and drafts like pike soup. We didn't express our disappointment during our stay. We didn't want to let it ruin our evening. It's a shame that such a traditional restaurant has obviously become more of a place for tourists.

Unfortunately we weren't very enthusiastic. The inn has a great location and ambience, which is why we, as day tourists, chose this restaurant. I didn't think the older gentleman who served us was very nice. First I was sitting in the wrong place in case guests wanted to sit at the other table (then I don't put 4 chairs at such small tables!), then I wanted to order and was hit, only lunch menu, so I left the card open like that. This could easily be communicated from the start. The waiting time for drinks and food was long, but I don't want to see that as a negative thing since the kitchen had just opened. We had Büsumer crabs with fried potatoes. Of course, like everywhere else, you can get them at the daily price. Unfortunately it wasn't anywhere. In the end we were surprised by the price of the bill. Crabs are expensive, that's for sure. The fried potatoes were really very bland, even though there was pepper and salt to season them. I would still actually like a basic seasoning. There was probably sand (?) in my husband's side salad, at least he said it crunched quite a bit. The beans were incredibly sweet. Unfortunately the visit was a bit disappointing.

We were thrilled, everything was perfect. Cod with Dijon mustard sauce and labskaus are highly recommended. Friendly welcome, thank you - we'll be happy to come back.

Ever since my parents took me with them as a child, we have been going to Kaiser at least once a week. And since the change of operator, it will remain that way in the future. Really a nice guy and respects the inn, keep it up!

Our goal for many years when we are in Bremen. There is food here that is as solid as it is delicious, so: tasty, expansive and embracing Bremen housewife/home cooking cooked with a lot of love. The portions are generous. The waitresses are careful, quick and friendly and we feel comfortable in the embracing darkness of the rustic guest rooms anyway. The Kaiser Friedrich is miles away from a tourist trap and because we are not the only ones who know this, reservations should be made in good time. It's really nice that the emperor still exists. ------- Last weekend we were guests at the Kaiser for the first time AFTER the change of operator. What's first noticeable is that the staff has stayed. Actually the rest too. The food still tastes good. The new patron can't replace Uwe - but he doesn't have to, because he's just as likeable in his own way and seems determined to change the emperor very gently at best. We think that's good and that's why the Kaiser remains our point of contact when we're in Bremen.

Wir sind mehrfach enttäuscht. Das begründet sich darin, dass die Bewertung aus der Zeit vor Betreiberwechsel, Okt 23, wohl genutzt werden um den Durchschnitt hoch zu halten. Weiter, dass Personal sich kommentarlos mit 5 Sternen selbst beurteilt.( Was natürlich genau so lächerlich bleibt wenn es jetzt geändert wird ) Zusammen ist dies für uns eine Täuschung. Das Essen ist maximal mäßig eher unzureichend. Kohl und Knipp sowie Getränke, lieblos angeboten Der Service das Gegenteil der Selbstbeurteilung, nämlich unprofessionell. Gesamtbild ungenügend. Wir haben entschieden unsere Bremen Besuche an anderer Stelle ausklingen zu lassen. Wir vermissen den alten Betreiber, der war deutlich anders zu bewerten.

Wer deutsche Küche a la carte schätzt kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Der Service ist freundlich bisweilen jovial und das Ambiente urig. Halt nicht neu oder sowas.

Die Wirtschaft Kaiser Friedrich im Bremer Schnoor war bislang immer ein gern gewählter Abschluss unserer Besuche in der Hansestadt. Aber alles unterliegt einer Veränderung, leider nicht immer positiv. Die angebotenen Gerichte sind mittlerweile niveaulos und wohl nur noch convinience, einfältig und wenig ansprechend. Der Service ist unprofessionell, kommunikativ überfordert und serviert gern mit eigenen Fingern im Teller. Gesamtbild mittlerweile unzureichend.

Urig, gemütlich, toll! Ich kann nur empfehlen hier für ein Abendessen zu verweilen. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Essen frisch und lecker. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung in Bremen!

Das Essen war super lecker, wir waren eine fünfköpfige Gruppe, hatten alle zur gleichen Zeit das Essen, Service ist super, sehr nett und sehr aufmerksam und das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und einfach zum Wohlfühlen

Ein Highlight. Bremer Spezialitäten köstlich zubereitet. Perfekter und sehr freundlicher Service. Ich hatte Knipp mit Bratkartoffeln. Komme sehr gerne wieder.

Bei einem Besuch konnte mein Anspruch an regionale Küche nicht erfüllt werden. Was mich überraschte war jedoch der Anspruch der Servicekraft S sowohl im Haus als auch ausserhalb völlig indiskret und ungefragt über Gäste und andere herzuziehen. Diese Indiskretionen lassen schließen, dass Seriosität im Haus wohl keinen hohen Stellenwert hat. Dieser Bewertung im Ton unangemessen eine Anwaltsdrohung durch die Geschäftsführung Folgen zu lassen, bestätigt meine These der fehlenden Seriosität.

Und hat es hier gut gefallen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Uriges Bremer Restaurant. Klein aber fein.

Wir waren mit Freunden beim Kaiser Friedrich, weil wir das Lokal, die Bedienung und das gute Essen schätzen. Dieses Mal aßen wir eine Tellerportion mit Kohl und Pinkel. Bei der Bewertung muss ich mich vorherigen Bewertungen anschließen: die Portion ist zu klein mit einer halben Scheibe Kassler, einer sehr kleiner Pinkel und einer Kochwurst. Wir bestellten uns kostenpflichtig eine kleine Pinkel nach. Das Essen insgesamt war schmackhaft, aber leider lauwarm. Da wir mit Freunden dort waren, die wir einluden, haben wir das Essen nicht reklamiert. Uns war es sehr peinlich. Die Tellerportion kostete pro Person 19,90€, ohne die 2. Pinkelwurst. Der Riesling (0,2l) war mit 7,90€ sehr hochpreisig. Wir werden so schnell nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren dieses Wochenende spontan im Kaiser Friedrich und hatten Glück, dass wir kurzfristig einen Tisch ergattern konnten, denn der Laden war ansonsten restlos ausgebucht. Im urigen und gemütlichen Ambiente des Lokals habe ich mich direkt pudelwohl gefühlt. Es war wie eine Zeitreise durch die Geschichte Bremens und dieses schönen Restaurants. Die Servicekräfte waren trotz des regen Betriebes sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen kam dafür, dass der Laden prall gefüllt war, schnell und es hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Ich habe noch nie Bremer Knipp gegessen und es war ein Genuss. Meine Begleitung hatte den Braunkohlteller, welcher auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat (ich durfte probieren:D). Die Enten vom Nebentisch sahen auch total lecker aus. Als Absacker haben wir den Hausschnaps getrunken, das war die perfekte Wahl. Insgesamt hat sich unser Besuch durch und durch gelohnt und bei unserem nächsten Besuch im Schnoor kommen wir sicher wieder!

Toller FIsch und tolle Ente, eine sehr urige Atmosphäre. Der hauseigene Schnaps namens Preußentrunk ist besonders zu empfehlen.

Wunderbares Lokal, dass bei keinem Bremen-Besuch fehlen darf! Typisch norddeutsches Ambiente, ausgezeichnete Küche. Wie Urlaub zum Essen! Und der Lotsenteller heilt jeden Kater :) 10/10

Eine Bremer Institution! Bremisch, urig, gemütlich mit ganz viel Herz und wenn es eng wird rückt man etwas auf der Bank zusammen. Hier wird man gerne bedient!

Grundsätzlich ist der Gasthof zum Kaiser Friedrich ein altes Gebäude, welches die Räumlichkeiten best möglichst nutzt. Allerdings war unser Tisch, sehr schlank und super zugig, es wurde erst wärmer mit zunehmender Personenanzahl in den kleinen Räumen. Ja heizen ist teuer, aber es war ungemütlich. Das Essen war lecker, etwas salzig, die Größe des Kasslers ist sehr variabel. Flexibel ist die weibliche Bedienung allerdings gar nicht. Eine Bestellung von roter Grütze hätten wir gerne in ein Schokokuchen geändert. Hier wurde überhaupt nicht auf den Kundenwunsch versucht einzugehen. Der Nachtisch kam erst 20 Minuten später, so wäre eine Änderung, bestimmt möglich gewesen, zumal die rote Grütze schon fertig aus dem Kühlschrank kam. Schade.

Ich war letztes Wochenende zu Besuch in Bremen und bin ganz zufällig in den Kaiser gestolpert. Zu meiner Überraschung habe ich hier wider alle Erwartungen ein lokales Juwel in einer doch sehr touristischen Gegend entdeckt! Auch wenn ich kein "Norddeutsches Original" bin, wurde ich hier herzlichst empfangen. Das Essen ist wirklich preiswert und meine Portion Grünkohl mit Kassler und Kochwurst war extrem schmackhaft und hätte auch zwei Personen satt gemacht. Auf Empfehlung des Hauses habe ich dazu Bratkartoffeln bestellt, was sich ebenfalls gelohnt hat. Als Absacker kann ich auch den hier servierten "Preußenschluck" nur empfehlen. Ich werde wieder kommen. Ich schreibe eigentlich so gut wie nie eine Bewertung auf Google aber bei so nettem Personal und gutem Essen, musste ich hier einfach in die Tasten hauen. Na denn ma tau...

Gute deutsche Küche zu angemessenen Preisen in uriger Atmosphöre . Hier kann man vom Spiegelei bis zum Steak oder Fisch alles essen, was die deutsche Küche her gibt. Tolle Lage mitten in Bremens guter Stube.

Eenvoudige keuken. Royale portie eten. Het is alsof de tijd hier heeft stil gestaan Het is leuk om een keer meegemaakt te hebben. Er zit veel lokaal publiek en om 20.00 uur is het wel gedaan allemaal.
