Located directly on the Chiemsee promenade, you can enjoy the water and the surroundings, the people, and the nature. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, and the service is fast and the price/performance ratio is good.

Because of the coronavirus, you first say how many scoops you want, pay, and only then see the ice cream, which is a bit disappointing. The selection isn't that big, but in my opinion, it's not that tasty either. It's a shame... I would have preferred to go next door.

Perfectly located, modern chain restaurant in a good location. The food is lightly spiced with a sweet salad, like in the East, but OK. Good staff.

Edit (10/01/25): I'd like to apologize. I was obviously sitting at the "Westernacher" restaurant. This wasn't obvious to me. But now I'm wondering: Why does the "Schiller" justify my reviews? Well then. I deleted the part about the food at the next table (I only judged the appearance, not the taste). You're right. Apologies for that too. 2 things, though: I review honestly and always address negative things whenever possible...😉, and: There are really great other restaurants in Prien. We went to one for dinner. 😃 ...you can read extremely positive reviews there. Here's the actual (revised) review: Hmm...well, a restaurant that seems to have everything & nothing right? I don't know. The space by the lake seems to be sufficient. We asked for a drinks menu, which was placed on our table (a laminated, folded piece of plastic). The waiter left. After ordering, we saw other drinks advertised on the tree...from the waiter: Not a word. Service: Average. It was barely busy, so it couldn't have been stressful. Restroom? Great at the front, terrible at the back...keyword: hygiene. Great: The view of Lake Chiemsee. That's it.

We were there twice today. We had a very nice waiter named Nazar. The food was excellent. Thank you very much.

We ate dinner here twice because we really enjoyed the pizza and pasta. We received prompt and friendly service. However, yesterday we had to wait a quarter of an hour for the bill, even though we had already mentioned it three times and it wasn't busy at that time of day, left a rather unpleasant aftertaste.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't recommended. Linguine was labeled with fresh truffles, but it wasn't fresh. Suckling pig with potato dumplings, dumplings – a ready-made product, tasteless and cold. Drinks like Fanta and Coke were stale, no longer carbonated. The waiter was very friendly! Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

Very good breakfast. But very expensive.

We were there a few weeks ago with a large group. Despite confirming by email, they initially claimed they didn't have a table available. In the end, we got one. We all ordered drinks first. One of the Spezis, among others, was completely carbonated, and I had to ask three times when my Coke would arrive. Then we ordered food. I had spaghetti ala olio, which was unfortunately lukewarm and not particularly spicy. The rest of the dishes included roast pork. The sauce had no flavor. Well, the waiter was a bit stressed. Still, you can make an effort and not immediately show that you're overwhelmed.

We were here tonight; we experienced wonderful service and delicious food. Thank you very much. :)

My girlfriend and I visited the Schiller for the second time. And we were not disappointed. Today was the last very warm and beautiful day of the year, which probably attracted hundreds of guests to the Schiller and put the team under pressure at the end of the season. But even when we arrived for dinner, there was no sign of this. Great food and wonderful table service. This makes eating out fun again. We're already looking forward to our visit next year.

A great day trip always includes great food. At a certain point in the trip, the question arises... where to go? And hopefully the food will be good there... The Schiller immediately captivated us from the outside and, with its wonderful ambiance by the lake, immediately invited us to stop by. At first, we were skeptical that it might not be just another overpriced restaurant with the usual quality, BUT we were convinced otherwise. The quality served here blew us away so much that after our trip to Herreninsel, we stopped by again for a portion of Kaiserschmarrn. The size wasn't exactly enough to share, but the taste was all the better for it. Another huge plus point is the service. You don't often experience such fast, attentive, and outstanding service. Our server that day was the extremely friendly and courteous waiter named Nazar. Thank you so much. A lot of text and the core message: the three of us recommend a visit there and will definitely be back. With a journey of about 2 hours, it is worth driving back to Lake Chiemsee just for that.

The food is super delicious and served fairly quickly, but our server was very rude. When I asked what we wanted to order with "We need something else," she made a noise and slammed the order recorder on the screen. If you're in the right seat, you can admire the mountains in the background.

We were here at the beginning of September with changeable weather. Today, we had no problems getting a seat outside. I think it's a completely different experience during peak season. There's no great view of the lake then. The service was very friendly and attentive. The selection of food and drinks is good. The price/performance ratio is good.

Unfortunately, they played the usual "bank card terminal doesn't work" game here too, we didn't get a bill. Does the owner work tax-free or does it go to the staff's pockets... the food is delicious and plentiful.

Very nice location, but unfortunately, we were completely ignored for 30 minutes, along with other guests. We can't comment on the food and drinks, only the rude reaction of the (presumably) manager, "he only has three waiters..." We then had a wonderful meal at the Pizzeria iL Gusto – so everything was good :-)

The Schiller Restaurant is located directly on Lake Chiemsee. It's very close to the Prien pier for the Chiemsee boat trip. You can practically see the castle and the island of Herrenchiemsee. The food and service are excellent. They offer delicious 😋 classic dishes as well as modern bowls and vegetarian dishes. The Wiener Schnitzel or the Wiener Schnitzel with roasted onions and gravy are also excellent.

Definitely recommended. A great atmosphere. Absolutely excellent value for money. But above all, the excellent service from our waiter Thomas, right from the moment you enter the venue, ensures a truly relaxing stay.

The food tasted quite good; the fries were nicely seasoned and the chicken schnitzel was nice and crispy. Unfortunately, apart from a small bowl of cranberries, there was nothing else on the plate. No small garnish or anything similar. You could have ordered a side salad separately, but of course, you paid for it. The latte macchiato was unfortunately only a 4 out of 10. It didn't really impress me, and the milk foam wasn't particularly good either, and all for what I consider an outrageous €5.30. You could really tell that the Coke was made with syrup. What's really nice is the area, as you're right on Lake Chiemsee and have a beautiful view.

Disgraceful manager! The quality of the drinks and food cannot be rated because we left after ordering. After an extremely long wait, no greeting, no apology, just pure arrogance. The Luitpold now has two more customers!

It's always worth stopping by: a wide selection of dishes (pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes, etc.), cakes, desserts, Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes), etc. The espresso/cappuccino is brewed with beans from the in-house roastery. Spacious seating inside and on the terrace with a view of Lake Chiemsee (traffic-calmed pedestrian zone)... After dinner, you can enjoy a short walk along Lake Chiemsee, among other things.

A wonderfully located café-restaurant with outstanding views of the Alpine panorama. We ate dinner here twice because the food was simply delicious and the service was excellent. All the dishes were lovingly prepared and presented. The spaetzle, dumplings, meat, and side dishes, as well as the apple strudel for dessert, were absolutely delicious! We felt very comfortable on our two evenings with you! Saturday evening was a bit busier and louder because lots of stag and hen parties were there. But that didn't bother us at all, and you could see that the professionals at work here can easily accommodate groups of all sizes.

The food and service were good, and the view of Lake Chiemsee from the beer garden was also very nice. The prices are geared towards tourists, which isn't necessarily affordable for a large family.

Hello, So, on to the good points: the suckling pig tastes very good, the meat quality is very good, you can even get an extra crust if you want, the service is very good, and you get your food very quickly. Now we come to the negative points. My friend ordered creamed mushrooms with bread dumplings. Point one: the bread dumplings were so bad, they were small, they were flat. As a Bavarian, you should be ashamed if you're served something like that. It's a real shame, and the price is quite high. Point two: the potato dumplings with the suckling pig were more like small golf balls. In Bavaria, potato dumplings are about the size of a snowball. I wouldn't call them potato dumplings, but more like potato golf balls. Point three: my daughter had a children's schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel was very tasty and well-fried. I give it five stars, but the fries were over-fried, dripping with fat and very hard. I should have sent them back. But there's another huge plus point: the service is fantastic. and they go out of their way to accommodate you but my criticism isn't here to destroy, I hope the chef learns Bavarian food because a Bavarian roll and potato dumplings aren't difficult to make and don't cost much more and fries are very cheap too, you just have to be careful not to over-fry them and leave them sitting in grease, these are small points and you really have to do something like that perfectly at these prices because it costs around 15-22 euros, if I'm paying that much I want to eat better like at home I hope that my criticism is taken constructively and that this will be changed because I like being there and sitting and enjoying the lake panorama, as I said the service was very good but the kitchen failed I hope that will be changed...
