We were here for lunch. Cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn in absolutely generous portions and super delicious. With a great view of the lake. 4 main courses plus a drink and an espresso each cost around 100 euros. We spontaneously got stranded here and would come back at any time.

Have eaten there five times in the last two weeks. The food is very good, we had burgers, pizza, suckling pig, schnitzel and various salads with toppings. Service staff is incredibly friendly, the only drawback: it is NEVER served at the same time! Sometimes there is a 20 minute delay, which is a shame, because actually... Would you like to eat together or soon!!! I've seen this at other tables too... Pizza arrives, burgers 15-20 minutes later. Note: were never there at peak times!

There were 2 of us here and both times we had the extremely friendly, attentive waiter, Mr. Nazar 👍👍👍although the staff is very friendly anyway. The food was great 👍 However, we should also take a look at the toilets in the meantime, the women's toilet was very unclean (around 7 p.m.).

We were inevitably in Prien for longer and stopped here for lunch. What can I say, the best food and the best service in the last few days here in Prien. Great service, kind and accommodating. The cappuccino is an absolute hit, the beans for it come from the in-house roastery. Please come here if you are nearby, it's worth it!

Breakfast? Top. Dinner? Even better. The team? Friendly, warm and with full commitment - you rarely find something like that! And of course the food was delicious – we celebrated! Great respect to the team – attentive, organized and simply great! 😉

Of course, it's quite crowded here with tourists, but the Schiller still impresses with its attentive and friendly service and pleasant ambience. The prices are high, but are absolutely justified by what is on offer. We'll be back!

A big thank you to the ladies in this restaurant. They were very personable, friendly and attentive. Our food was excellent, liver and pizza, the coffee from our own roastery was very good. But unfortunately I have to express myself negatively towards the male staff, especially the gentleman with the glasses. Totally heinous, aggressive towards the team and not particularly friendly. It's a shame that people like this are let loose on guests and work colleagues.

The waiter serving us was very rude and lacked any kind of hospitality. Though the food is good, I highly recommend the restaurant to teach some basic hospitality to their waiting staff

I drank the worst Aperol spritz ever here! A glass full of ice cubes with tasteless liquid in light orange. I asked the waiter about it. It was explained to me the cocktail is being mixed by a machine that MAYBE isn't set correctly. I paid the full price!

Large cappuccino costs €6.70 and tastes medium. You don't notice your own roastery. Service is unfriendly.

There is one star for the friendly and attentive waiter. Food was catastrophic: asparagus was completely raw! We had to go back and get a new portion. It was a little better but still partly raw. The ham was also missing from the first order. The second order came with ham but it was cold and they just put it on the asparagus for an extra €7.50... not good value for money... and holondaise sauce was included even though we said we didn't want it. We wouldn't eat here again.

The worst cappuccino in a long time👎 is more of a thin latte. Even after the third attempt it didn't get any better. Croissant was also mediocre... I won't stop here anymore.

Eternal long waiting times just because they are not German and local!!!! They make us wait first to order drinks and then to order food. Waiting times for the bill too. When we get up to go to pay, the waiter asks us if we want anything else. Good food! Great location!

We were here every day, sometimes twice a day 😊. Service, food always delicious. Location is of course also 1a. But the prices are really high. €4.80 for a cola is unjustifiable.

I have never eaten a worse Kaiserschmarrn + at a completely overpriced price. Greasy and soggy. 2/3 went back with a comment as to why. No problem for the waiter - the full price was charged. Never again!

The restaurant offered an exceptional dining experience, featuring delicious food; I highly recommend the schnitzel. Our waiter, Robert, provided outstanding service, and the lake view from our table was superb. Furthermore, the establishment is dog-friendly.

Schiller's good morning breakfast (€11.50) in Café Schiller in Prien am Chiemsee. Good breakfast, fresh and tasty, fast friendly service and a great view over Lake Chiemsee. The coffee was also very fine. Recommended 🙂👍

We went to the restaurant spontaneously and without expectations, without knowing that we would then eat there every day of our vacation. The dishes are very tasty and we liked the schnitzel platter. Just like the heavenly cake at the front of the cafe. The ambience is super nice, the coffee roastery inside is super exciting and the music is great. In addition, both the gentlemen in the café at the front and our waiter Jonny (who served us every day) were very warm and customer-oriented. We felt comfortable at all times and can only recommend the restaurant. And two more plus points: the beautiful view of the lake and the harbor, as well as the heavenly relaxing tea

For breakfast: Very friendly service (Robert) The bread basket mentioned on the menu was disappointing and only contained baked rolls

+ The restaurant is beautifully located by the lake and has a beautiful terrace. - The service is a disaster. Completely overwhelmed. We waited 1 hour for the food, which wasn't fully served. Everyone shifts the blame onto the other. Then waited another 30 minutes for the bill. If you're going to annoy customers, you could at least be friendly!!!!!!! - The food was served late, incomplete and then still cold. The fries simply had a noodle included. The cheese on the burger wasn't even melted. All in all a disaster and a great waste of money.

A culinary highlight with excellent service! My visit to the Schiller Chiemsee Café was perfect all around. The ambience is inviting, the food is of the highest quality and the service is second to none. A special thanks goes to Marco, our waiter, who looked after us with exceptional kindness and professionalism. His attentive but unobtrusive manner made the evening particularly pleasant. The dishes were not only outstanding in terms of taste, but also beautifully prepared. A pleasure, and we were thrilled by the house's recommendations. A restaurant that I can recommend without reservation - everything is just right here! We'd love to come back.

Hair in the food, lipstick and leftover food on the glass. 👎 The €19 burger is not edible, the cheese isn't even melted, the meat isn't cooked through. The 16€ schnitzel is low quality convenience from the freezer.👎 The fries work. It's a real shame because it was different!!! The service is good. They can't help the bad food!

The cafe is very cozy. The dishes are varied and really delicious. The breakfast selection is more than sufficient and not just the same old breakfast but also something special. Thanks to the attached coffee roastery, the drinks are also very good. We would love to come back again.

A really nice café, right on Lake Chiemsee, with a fantastic panorama. I would rate the food as average, but the service took it down a notch. Our dreadlocked waitress was very accommodating, attentive and friendly. It would be nice if there was such respect and kindness everywhere, on both sides of the table. 10 points for the service!

Last week we had dinner with 6 people and it tasted good, which accounts for the two stars. The service leaves a lot to be desired. When I asked if I could have a lemon for the special (5.40 and then the cheapest from the discounter), this was registered but unfortunately not carried out. My friend ordered a Luganer that was listed on the board in the restaurant as 7.90 and the waitress confirmed this price when asked and it was 8.90 on the bill. When pointed out that she confirmed 7.90, she simply replied snidely "that's the new price" Then we had to pay a parking fee of €20 because we came from different directions and were there with 4 cars. This way you can scare away the guests and the beautiful view doesn't help either.

We always enjoy coming here, be it for a drink, breakfast or dinner. The view is fantastic. I especially like the pizzas and the schnitzel dishes, but the cakes are also delicious. I find the portions to be large and therefore appropriate for the price. The service is friendly, fast and ensures a pleasant feel-good experience.

NEVER AGAIN!! If I could give the service minus points, I would! When my husband and I entered the restaurant, we were shouted and asked: What do you want??? . When I said that we had reserved a seat, the lady rolled her eyes, the chef slapped her on the butt as she walked past and she took us to the seat. The waiter who was responsible for us didn't have a friendly word for us, let alone a smile... we've never felt so uncomfortable!!! The food is loveless fast food. The location at first glance was great and at second glance it was yucky! Holes knocked out in the wall everywhere. Our dirty plates were in front of us for 20 minutes. I still regretted my €64 bill, like this evening! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Nice cafe by the lake. There are parking spaces right next to it and you can also have your parking ticket stamped. Then 2.5 hours are free. The choice of food is also very large. Everything is offered, from the breakfast menu (until 11:30 a.m.), to cakes and desserts, to a real lunch.

The location on the lake is of course very beautiful. Unfortunately, the rest was not convincing. We sat in a winter garden whose windows were covered with duct tape. So it pulled. There were still red bits of food stuck to the window and the table was also full of crumbs. The service was slow even though there wasn't much going on. The coffee tasted very good. Personally, I didn't like the cake at all. The cheesecake had a very lemony note. That might be a matter of taste. We felt uncomfortable overall.

The drinks were good, the piece of cake was also good but the apple strudel inside was like pureed, it wasn't that tasty and it soon took over half an hour because it was forgotten in the kitchen by the waiter who was a bit annoyed

Here is the updated review: I went to this restaurant with my mother and her boyfriend. Unfortunately, the visit was anything but pleasant. The waiter seemed impatient from the start, especially when we couldn't decide on a dish right away. With an annoyed tone and a rude “Have you got it now?” He urged us to hurry up. I find such behavior inappropriate as this is not how you should treat guests. I had ordered an apple strudel, but after 40 minutes it still hadn't been served. While I understand that there can sometimes be delays in a restaurant, the waiter's reaction was disappointing. He explained that it takes longer because the apple strudel is “made very fresh.” Nevertheless, another 15 minutes passed before anything happened. After we asked the waiter about it, he informed the chef that we were still waiting for the apple strudel. When the chef finally came, I tried to cancel the dessert because the wait was simply too long. But the chef reacted with surprise and asked why I wanted to do that. He seemed unaware of the delay and claimed he worked “quickly.” This suggests that the waiter had originally forgotten the order. When the apple strudel finally arrived, there was great disappointment. Not only was it not tasty in any way and didn't seem homemade, but it was also served cold. In addition, I did not find the strudel to be fresh at all, although that was exactly what the waiter emphasized. The aftertaste was very intense and unpleasant, which further worsened the overall impression. Conclusion: The service was rude and disorganized, the wait was unacceptable, and the food was disappointing. A cold apple strudel that doesn't seem fresh and disappoints in taste is simply unacceptable. I definitely won't visit this restaurant again.

If I could give zero stars to the service and the food, I would do so with all my heart. Of the 5 dishes, 2 arrived 40 minutes later and only after asking again 3 times. In addition, the schnitzel tasted like rubber, the truffle noodles were unfortunately not cooked through and the spaetzle weren't particularly tasty either. The Hugo and the other spritzers I ordered had no fizz in them and tasted bad after sitting around for 4 days. Now about the service. The service was disastrous. No welcome, no eye contact, avoiding acknowledgment of mistakes and no apology for the late dishes and failed drinks. When we were asked whether the food was satisfactory and we all answered unanimously with “no”, everyone just shrugged their shoulders.

Dear team from Schiller Chiemsee Cafe, We were at your place this morning for two beers. The service was very good, the mood was lifted, the beer was delicious. We then booked a table for the evening. After the first reviews, the first doubts arose - but we still wanted to be unbiased and give the restaurant a chance. Unfortunately we have to agree with one or two guests. We were seated at the window, which can be a nice thing in itself, but it was really drafty here. Well, okay. We ordered veal liver and a Viennese-style schnitzel. We got a Viennese schnitzel and a veal schnitzel. The Wienerschnitzel was fresh and very tasty. After discussing the wrong delivery, we kept the veal schnitzel - this was also impressive in terms of quality. For the Wienerschnitzel we ordered another extra portion of cranberries, which unfortunately didn't arrive after 15 minutes. (Unfortunately, there was no waiter to be found in the meantime who could have been told this again) The food became cold and no longer edible. No problem, mistakes can happen. Unfortunately, the waiters were not particularly customer-oriented. The first thing that was said to us was “We are only human.” As I said, mistakes can happen, it's no problem at all - but the way we respond is not professional. We were already offered a small round of beer on the house for delivering the wrong food. We gladly accepted this. We spoke to a younger waiter about the cranberries, then presumably the head waiter came. This one said directly. “It doesn’t matter, the two of them get a beer on the house and that’s it.” We felt very ripped off at that moment. Yes, we were offered to reheat the leftover food, but after waiting 20 minutes you are automatically full, which unfortunately was not understood here. Unfortunately, we also noticed that we had to wait a long time for service at the other tables and that there was a draft at the windows. The waiters are happy to take orders, but the follow-up leaves a lot to be desired. In terms of quality, the restaurant definitely has capacity, the other one could definitely be negotiated. We also tried to draw the waiters' attention to this, but this was dismissed very rudely. We were told that everything here is always professional. As insulted as all this was received, we unfortunately cannot confirm the professionalism. We definitely did all of this with good intentions (you can certainly accept criticism with a smile - the important thing here is that you own up to your mistakes and don't dismiss them), but this was not welcome. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Too bad. We still wish the restaurant all the best.

Went to the coffee roastery today, it's definitely a show to see how the coffee is roasted and then put into the large drum to dry - it's absolute madness. The smell of coffee in this restaurant is great. We will definitely come back and enjoy this great coffee

Hard stop for breakfast/brunch menu at 11:30. We were there 11:34, no exceptions made :-( Salad was not good, had a creepy yellow sauce. Extra fried champignons were not eadible, way too much salt. Service was ok. Coffee was excellent. The view towards the lake was amazing.

The service was quite busy replacing cheese with sausage at breakfast (due to lactose intolerance). The wrong tea was delivered and was quite undrinkable. It was too cold and the music was too loud. Only the scrambled eggs were good. Unfortunately I won't do that again. We paid too much for this lousy experience.

Went here several times to pick up and eat. The waitresses, with the exception of the girls in the evenings, are very unfriendly and take an extremely long time. When I went to get a coffee at the counter, I wasn't noticed at all and had to draw attention to myself even though the barrister had seen me. Plus the prices are really high. Didn't feel very welcome, even though the food was tasty.

A beautiful cafe and restaurant in a fantastic location, I can especially recommend the breakfast. You can tell that this is a coffee roasting company, the coffee is a little more expensive but completely justified considering the quality and taste.

We have been here for breakfast several times and have always been very satisfied. Today we tried lunch thanks to the TAKE 2 PAY 1 promotion and we were so happy! Excellent cuisine, delicious wine and courteous service without being intrusive. Plus the wintry view with snow over Lake Chiemsee. What more could you want?

The prices are brutally high. I had to wait 15 minutes (!) for the beer. Sometimes the waiter couldn't be found for a while. There were five of us and we paid €200 (!) for pizza and pasta, beer, water and espresso. Never again.......

The food wasn't bad, but a mini portion of onion roast with fried onions for €27 and a side salad that costs an additional €7.50 is pretty steep.

We were here for dinner and breakfast. Everything was absolutely delicious and very attractively served, attentive, friendly service, but the highlight was the espresso! We'll be back, despite the slightly exorbitant fees for the RV parking space.

I had the liver dish, 3 small pieces, fatty and burnt. Mashed potatoes were ok and the onions were a joke, fried onions from a can. Something so bad and cheap in an expensive restaurant is unbelievable.

Purchased (expensive) coffee capsules that turned out to be faulty and unusable. After a telephone and written complaint, they promised to “take care of it.” After a week another complaint. Information: The photos are available, yes, that is annoying. The boss is very busy, but they will take care of it. To date I have not received a replacement or received my money back...
