Yukiko Asian Fine Dining Restaurant in Prien a.Chiemsee

The service on site is friendly and good, but we ordered for pickup over the phone and therefore based our prices on the online menu on the website. We (4 people) ended up paying €13 more than expected, which shouldn't have been the case. Everything was priced higher, ranging from 0.50 cents to €2.60 per dish, which is also steep. Unfortunately...

Dinner was okay, although I found it a bit expensive for the amount of food. What I didn't like at all, however, was that when we paid, we were told that only cash payments were accepted – and that was at 10 p.m. on a Thursday! Luckily, we had cash with us, but that's really unacceptable. Other guests could end up in a very unpleasant situation. The right thing to do would be to point this out beforehand – either by phone or upon entering the restaurant.

Just three stars in my opinion. The food ranges from very good (many starters) to mediocre (curries). They put a lot of effort into it, but I had the impression that much of it was prepared under time pressure. Although the restaurant hasn't been open very long, the decor is already showing clear signs of wear. All in all, it's okay, but a disappointment for experienced Asian eaters. It's definitely not fine dining.

The food is super delicious and very authentic

At first glance, the restaurant aims to give a Japanese impression. It isn't. If you're not expecting Japanese food, the quality is fine. The keto box was a mix of Thai, Japanese, and Chinese, and the soup was like Vietnamese pho.

The food was delicious, and we only had to wait seven minutes. Unfortunately, there were no towels or disposable sushi sticks.

We were there on a Saturday evening without a reservation. It was very busy, but the service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and absolutely reasonable. We'll be back.

We ate there this evening. There was an unpleasant smell in the shop (musty smell) and a lot of flies, which was very distracting while eating. The food was good, and so was the service. The prices are a bit too high. Perhaps they should air out the place before opening, let the flies out, and mop the floor. Otherwise, it's a shame for this lovely restaurant.

Let's start with the good: the service was very friendly, but unfortunately the rest was subpar. We have never eaten so badly - 2 skewers of dead fried chicken with a dab of sauce as a starter for €10.50 or 3 mini spring rolls (really mini) with a dab of sauce for €10.50.... The main course was inedible (duck in soy-ginger sauce), which was probably pure soy sauce from the bottle without anything else for a whopping €19 and a mini bowl Rice for 2 people... The Christmas decorations were still hanging on the ceiling and the floor was swollen in places, and the smell inside was also a little musty.

We haven't eaten such good Asian food in a long time!

A very cozy and stylish atmosphere, food was delicious, soup and curry were well seasoned, but with a little bit of "spicy oomph", bowl was also tasty with very little sauce, the flavor peaks were missing. Shushi rolls: a feast for the palate and eyes - everything beautifully prepared! But what is not possible: The team of employees was treated strictly and unfriendly by the boss (they seemed anxious) and we were asked to pay in cash - especially tips or via PayPal. When we declined, the strict service lady came around the corner with a card reader!.....- tax questionable and simply unprofessional for such a restaurant!

We were guests in the restaurant over Easter and were really looking forward to the visit because of the beautiful pictures on the website. In terms of taste, our expectations were absolutely met - the food was really excellent! The quality and freshness of the ingredients were top, everything was very tasty and prepared with a lot of love. In terms of price, the whole thing is in the higher range, which is understandable given the quality. What we didn't like as much, however, was the ambience. Unfortunately, the furnishings seem a bit outdated - there was a lot of plastic decoration, which was dusty in some places and had cobwebs. The ground appeared swollen in some places, possibly an indication of previous water damage. The smell in the room was also rather musty, almost mold-like. What was also a bit irritating was that there were still Christmas decorations hanging - and in April. Bottom line: If you value very good food, this is definitely the right place for you. If you also want a harmonious ambience, you might be a little disappointed. But definitely recommended in terms of taste!

I come from the area and have eaten at Yukiko several times. The Asian food tastes good, but the portions are rather small for the price. What is unfortunately always noticeable is that the tables are very tightly occupied - even if there are larger or better placed tables available. As a result, you sit very close to other guests, inevitably overhear every conversation, and the seating is so cramped that you have to be careful not to end up with your jacket in the next person's plate. The service is mixed. Although tried hard, but sometimes intrusive. It happened that my empty plate was already cleared away while my companion was still eating - which seemed unpleasant and felt a bit hectic. This time, the situation when paying was particularly negative: card payments were suddenly no longer possible because the device was “out of paper”. Instead, we were offered to pay via PayPal - but only via “Friends and Family” and not regularly via “Services and Goods”. This is not only unprofessional for a commercial restaurant, but also legally questionable.

So my dear fish fanatics, No.82 Egg noodle wok with chicken and shrimp(s)... first of all there was exactly one shrimp, and the “egg noodles” were hard. Seasonal vegetables requested without coriander were completely ignored (my mouth still tastes like curd soap). But the absolute highlight was the intoxicating smell of cheese feet that permeated the entire restaurant. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I've been to Yukiko several times and always found the taste of the food delicious! However, the portions are getting smaller and smaller and without a starter (the portions are even clearer!) you won't feel full there. The price is then set too high for that. It is also bad practice to prepare a portion of rice for two people. This has happened several times. Poor performance considering how much 1kg of rice costs? My complaint about this was simply ignored. Service depends on the day. Unfortunately, there are also very, very tight seats! The taste is great, but as described, I'm missing some values ​​that I would like to have as a guest.

I've got nothing good to say about this place. The service was horrible, not only did we have to wait nearly an hour despite reservations, but our waitress was clearly not old enough to be working at a restaurant. The environment was very hostile, we did not feel welcome at all, not to mention all the degrading screams we heard coming from the kitchen. After an extensive search for good sushi in the Chiemsee region, I can especially recommend Yukiko Asian Fine Dining in Prien am Chiemsee. The ambiance is stylish and modern, with a pleasant blend of Asian elegance and Bavarian coziness. We ate there for a birthday. First of all, we waited incredibly long; the starter plate for four people didn't arrive at the same time. The other dishes were rather subpar in taste. If you order fried egg noodles with tofu, you get hard, uncooked noodles, and the tofu tastes like nothing. And the price is just completely exorbitant. €18-19 for a standard dish? We won't be eating there again.

Yukiko offers an exceptional dining experience. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the graceful and friendly waitstaff, everything was perfect. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, showcasing fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. The elegant ambiance made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone seeking outstanding food and service! Don’t forget to try the Creme brûlée .

This is the worst Asian in all of Bavaria, no one is able to take an order. It took 50 minutes until I had to shout loudly when they would take our order. Food was ok, it would have been better hot. On the way to the toilet I almost fell over a child's chair that was placed very awkwardly there. Plates that have already been set for the starter are cleared away before the main course and put back in the cupboard without wiping, regardless of whether you have already coughed on them three times, rubbed on them or done something else with them.

Paypal as a payment method? Yukiko doesn't offer card payment, which I think is a shame... also that it wasn't noted anywhere. The food was very good and it was beautifully presented. I also found the tables close together to be negative.

I was in this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago and was immediately impressed. A week later I went straight back and have picked up food twice since then. It was incredibly delicious every time! The staff is particularly noteworthy - so friendly and attentive that you immediately feel welcome. The ambience is also very appealing, whether inside or outside - simply cozy and inviting. A real asset to the area! If you value delicious food and top service, you should definitely stop by here.

We ate there on vacation, very tasty and appealing dishes - absolutely not the standard "Asian". The tofu with vegetables was terrific! Parking is a short distance away. Only 1 star deducted because the service was a bit slow (taking orders, paying, etc.)

Then the food came after about 10 minutes. Carelessly done. Totally oversalt a meal. When eating vegetarian food, some of the vegetables could not be identified. With one duck the vegetables were still half frozen and very watery. We had the food returned and it was packed up for us. We were packed with the wrong sushi for home than we ordered and billed for the higher quality one. When we told the waitress, she said it was only 1 euro. All of the Christmas decorations are still hanging on the ceiling, now in mid-April. The restaurant used to be great, but now we won't come anymore.

The food itself was good and wasn't that expensive, but the service was rude. At the beginning she stood in front of our table while we were still choosing what we wanted to eat and constantly asked if we wanted to order, then she brought us sushi with salmon even though we had ordered vegetarian. After we pointed this out to her, she cheekily said if we couldn't just eat it anyway. When we insisted on getting the vegetarian one, she reluctantly brought us a new plate with exactly the same dish, which was non-vegetarian.

Sunday lunchtime, first visit. When we entered, the first thing we noticed was the smell of "wet dog". There were a total of 4 dogs in the restaurant and at least one of them smelled. The restaurant can't do anything about it, but it was absolutely unpleasant. But back to Yukiko: visually successful. Central counter, lots of light, tasteful design. There were only a few tables occupied. Piano music came from the loudspeaker, which was repeatedly interrupted by excessively loud advertisements. Maybe take out a subscription to Spotify? Or buy a CD? So it's definitely stupid! The two young service staff came to the table in casual outfits. You don't even get something like that at Burger King. Apart from the clothing, both were friendly but apparently also out for a very long time on Saturday evening. Yawning several times in the restaurant with his mouth wide open and motivated like Arno Funke at the employment office. Absolutely underground! The food was mediocre to OK. You can get it everywhere else, but usually better. The duck was overpriced at 19.90 due to the size of the portion, but the vegetables were firm to the bite and tasty. Just like everywhere else. Thin coconut curry sauce, little taste. Conclusion: What a waste of time and money!

Ordered various dishes from the menu and picked them up. Sushi was very good, but also to be expected for the high price. Unfortunately the rest was a joke! My hot sour soup had dill in it. Why dill??? And the shrimp was completely forgotten. But asking €7.90... Duck with peanut sauce wasn't anything special either, the same pre-cooked, fried, gray fillet as in every other Asian snack bar. Papaya salad also ridiculously small portion and totally bland. Vietnamese? Certainly not! Another Asian rip-off store done in style. Very trendy at the moment. But if you want to be fooled and don't know anything about Asian cuisine, you'll definitely find it good. The next culinary flop in Prien - unfortunately.
