Friendly staff, fair prices and delicious food

As someone who is familiar with Persian cuisine and knows it well from personal experience, my visit to Restaurant Queen in Göttingen was a disappointment. There were four of us and we were looking forward to various grilled specialties, but we were negatively surprised in several respects. The menu here on Google is outdated and the prices are now (as of May 2025) much more expensive! Instead of individually served plates for 4 people, the food was served on a large shared platter. We had to wait 30 minutes for the food. Although the presentation seemed appealing at first glance, the actual scope was rather small. What was particularly noticeable was the disproportion between meat and side dishes - the proportion of rice was very limited. Bread was not served automatically but had to be requested separately. 😒👎🏽 Unfortunately, the quality of the grilled skewers did not meet the expectations of authentic Persian cuisine. The pieces of meat were not seasoned and the marinade was hardly aromatic. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was by no means special or memorable. In addition, basic things such as salt, pepper or suitable sauces for the meat were missing from the table - these accompaniments are particularly important to round off the taste of grilled meat! In my opinion the price is clearly too high for what is offered. The portion size, the lack of service and the unconvincing taste are disproportionate to the pricing. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Conclusion: Queen may initially impress with its presentation, but is absolutely not convincing in terms of taste or content! If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine, you won't find it here - especially if you know it from your own experience. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Above expectations! The food was fantastic, especially the eggplant dishes. There is an open buffet for under 20 euros and the food was incredibly good. I would definitely like to come back!

I took advantage of the discount I received thanks to “Barometer”. Everything went wonderfully! Special cuisine, large portions, great prices and tea. Everything was quick and convenient. You can take the food with you if you can't manage everything.

Should have been an evening to reminisce about old times. It started off well - until a waiter told me that I had "as a matter of course" occupied a reserved table. Demeanor and tone of voice like those used to be in GDR restaurants. I hadn't noticed it, I know the house from the times when people ordered food and drinks at the counter. From minute zero, the employee did everything wrong that can be done wrong in customer (!) communication. No rapport, no pacing, my anger - it didn't matter, my eyes were on the ceiling as I protested against his tone. The broad chest of his self-image quickly clarified: he was the managing director. It's a shame about the memories...

We were traveling and they recomendado this restaurant to us and It was a great success,everything we ordered was great ,we were served by named Belén,charming and very profesional ,It's a pleasure to be served so well ,100% recommended for both the service and for the food

The Adana Kebap (or lamb meat skewer) was unfortunately a ready-made product from the wholesaler (very fine mince, almost sausage-like, a bit rubbery) and smelled really unpleasant. But the portion only cost €5.50, The service was great.

A very big disappointment because of the behavior of the woman who works there. We noticed 4 things that are very, very negative. 6 € for a drink that should have been carbonated but wasn't! Only 1.5l!? 6€, okay. She told us last time when we ordered cakes that are in the fridge up front. She gave the old one that they taste like 1 week old. And then when I was back I told you about it and recommended using good to go, but she apologized and said that she would give us some again so we could see if they were really old or basically what she meant. But she didn't do it. Not that she forgot, it was just an embarrassing mentality! Hope they care a little more about their customers..

Was there with a very good friend after we spontaneously decided what we wanted to eat. The dishes we chose were very tasty and we will remember it for our next visit to Osnabrück. Lg
