We travel from Kassel to Göttingen specifically to visit this restaurant. We find the food here incredibly delicious and the service very attentive. We have been loyal customers for five years and have never been disappointed. We have tried Persian cuisine elsewhere, but this is by far the best.

The food was OK, but only lukewarm. The portions for three people on one plate were very modest and too expensive. The decor is hideous. The service is friendly but inattentive. I've had much better Persian food. But also much worse.

I'm vegan, but there are still plenty of delicious options to choose from. The rice is very special and not like what you'd find in other stores. Very nice!

This is a friendly Iranian restaurant, with great food at reasonable prices. In the spring and summer you can sit out front, and soak up the chill Sudstadt vibes while you dine. The menu has lots of choices, but my personal favorite is the "Schevid Polo Mahiche" (Lammhaxe).

Good quality and friendly staff, but the portions are rather small compared to other Iranian restaurants. The skewered kebabs could have been a bit thicker, and the rice could have been a bit more generous.

As someone who is familiar with Persian cuisine and knows it well from personal experience, my visit to Restaurant Queen in Göttingen was a disappointment. There were four of us and we were looking forward to various grilled specialties, but we were negatively surprised in several respects. The menu here on Google is outdated and the prices are now (as of May 2025) much more expensive! Instead of individually served plates for 4 people, the food was served on a large shared platter. We had to wait 30 minutes for the food. Although the presentation seemed appealing at first glance, the actual scope was rather small. What was particularly noticeable was the disproportion between meat and side dishes - the proportion of rice was very limited. Bread was not served automatically but had to be requested separately. 😒👎🏽 Unfortunately, the quality of the grilled skewers did not meet the expectations of authentic Persian cuisine. The pieces of meat were not seasoned and the marinade was hardly aromatic. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was by no means special or memorable. In addition, basic things such as salt, pepper or suitable sauces for the meat were missing from the table - these accompaniments are particularly important to round off the taste of grilled meat! In my opinion the price is clearly too high for what is offered. The portion size, the lack of service and the unconvincing taste are disproportionate to the pricing. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Conclusion: Queen may initially impress with its presentation, but is absolutely not convincing in terms of taste or content! If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine, you won't find it here - especially if you know it from your own experience. Unfortunately no recommendation.

What an amazing restaurant! I visited this place from London, which has more than its fair share of Iranian restaurants. This place easily tops most of them! Food was really good, service was more than amazing, and you could see the owners actually cared for and loved what they were doing — they had a passion for Iranian cuisine and for hospitality. I’ll come to this place every time I come back here!

As a culinary globetrotter, I am very impressed by what is on offer. There are dishes and tastes here that I have never experienced before! The sauces are exceptional and homemade with high-quality ingredients, not canned. The Khashkebademjan (eggplant with yogurt, garlic and mint) is sophisticatedly delicious and the chicken kebabs taste different than expected. The two sweets I tried tasted surprisingly wonderful - the Iranian ice cream with saffron and the sweet noodles (!) with exotic spices. I'm thrilled! Queen definitely gets my regular orders.

I can only rate the delivery service: I like the food very much. Unfortunately the delivery sometimes takes a little long, but so far it has always arrived warm, except that sometimes the bread was missing for the starter. Nevertheless, I would recommend it to anyone who likes oriental cuisine :)

They are the best Iranian restaurant not only in Gottingen or Germany but also in the entire Europe! We lived for many years in many different places in Europe, but their restaurant is one of the best you can find! Also they are very nice and friendly and we love the decoration of their food! It reminds us of the Iranian nice cuisine!! 🥘If you go there don’t forget to try their Iranian ice cream with Saffron and pistachios🍦🍦😋😋

I was there for the first time today and was very impressed. The food was delicious and the service was very nice and friendly.

The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff was nice and accommodating. However, there were two things that I personally didn't like: the employees interfered when ordering and the food wasn't served separately, but all together. I think this detracted from the experience a bit.

The food was very tasty, more than enough and at fair prices. The service was also very nice. Only the atmosphere could be a little nicer. It looks a bit old-fashioned in the window sill. Overall, however, the restaurant is highly recommended and we would be happy to come back.

We were a group of three, including my non-Persian friends who thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The food overall was delicious, and it was all served together, allowing us to share our dishes easily. The Ghorme Sabzi was a 7/10, although still quite enjoyable. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly, and the complimentary bread was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the state of the restroom was subpar, which slightly detracted from my overall impression. Therefore, I'm deducting one star. Nevertheless, it was an overall pleasant visit.

Unfortunately, my experience with Queen Restaurant was disappointing. We ordered Chelo Kabab Ku and Judjeh Kebab. The dishes were poorly seasoned, lacked a sauce, and the majority of the portions were rice (around 90%). The meat portions and side dishes were minimal compared to the rice that overfilled the bowls. After receiving the order, we called the restaurant to share our feedback. Unfortunately the owner was very rude and disrespectful. He claimed we were unable to read the dish descriptions and threatened to raise prices further if we complained. It is unfortunate that such customer service and responses to constructive criticism are experienced in a restaurant. I hope the food quality and customer service improve. With the best will in the world, just avoid this restaurant

Delicious food and friendly service.

I had Persian food for the first time today and I can only say I was thrilled. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced and the service was also very good. The restaurant itself is rather small, roughly comparable to a small snack bar (a few tables), but that in no way harms the ambience, on the contrary.

Small, cozy Persian restaurant not far from the city center. The food is really excellent and cheap given the post-pandemic price level. The service is great, friendly but not intrusive. The rooms are simple, with more of a suburban pub feel, but if that doesn't bother you, I can highly recommend the Queen.

Caution! If you really don't feel like eating really good food, you should stay out here! Because you actually don't want to leave anymore, it tastes so good here!

We picked something up there for the first time yesterday and were absolutely thrilled.

It was incredibly good and the owner is also very nice and makes you feel at home. The menu seen in the photo costs €38 and for two people it is more than enough. The quality of the food and the speed with which it is served are very good. and the restaurant was full. I recommend booking in advance.

The food was very, very tasty and the service was also very friendly. We had to wait a bit for the food and were given a small appetizer as an apology! Freshly baked flatbread with 2 different dips. The restaurant itself is really very simple! Which wouldn't be a bad thing if it were at least a little cleaner. That was just a shame! But...as I said, the food was really tasty and plentiful.

Very expensive for the manageable portion size. Meat quite dry. Overall, the food was very salty - but local spices were used very sparingly (my friend is from Isfahan, and he was also disappointed). Service was okay. All in all not recommended!

The Queen in Göttingen impressed me with exquisite Persian food - even when it was delivered it was still warm and incredibly tasty. The telephone customer service was also convincing by providing efficient and helpful assistance when problems occurred. An all-round successful culinary experience!

Food is extraordinarily amazing. My favourite place in Göttingen. The only funny thing is that the family who is running resturent have arguments in the kitchen and the noise come to the resturent. Every time a kid is crying in the background. Once the food is served, everything else is not an issue anymore. Highly recommended...
