Nice restaurant with really great service. The food is of course not very European, but very tasty. ☺️ I can only recommend it.

The food is not excellent, but acceptable for the meat But the rice is excellent He gives you Shahi hospitality I searched for an Iranian restaurant and couldn't find any other, so if you have to, that's your only option

Unfortunately I can't understand the positive reviews. The waiter was initially very nice and polite, came with the wrong order, which was corrected, but unfortunately with an inedible cola that had probably been sitting for a while. After this remark he didn't even show up again and didn't pay any further attention. Rice was partly raw and Ghorme Sabzi tasted stale. Juje kebab was delicious. Overall, unfortunately not a good price/performance ratio.

An exceptional dining experience at the Afghan-Persian restaurant in Göttingen! The Cheloo Barg exceeded expectations with its outstanding quality. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant and the most outstanding feature was the impeccable service provided by the respectful and attentive young man. Well, it's a different cuisine and it was fun to immerse yourself in the food of another culture. In addition, the service was extremely friendly, which I would like to praise very highly. In some places I thought that the dishes were less seasoned than expected. The kebab was very tasty and the chicken skewer was delicious! The barberries spice up the rice and the plates are colorfully garnished with various side dishes. The ambience is very rustic, but suits Persian food. I'll definitely come back.

The best Persian in town! The food is amazing at this place; tender and juicy meat marinated and grilled to perfection with delicious sides. I have been there twice over the last two weeks and I look forward to my next visit to try more dishes on the menu. The service is quick, the staff are very polite and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Extremely courteous, attentive and friendly service in a rustic atmosphere. We spontaneously looked for a table and were warmly welcomed. If you have any questions about the menu, you will receive comprehensive advice, as well as vegetarian dishes. The food is really delicious and beautifully prepared! Good portion size, very tasty rice and great tea. Definitely worth a visit!

A family and super friendly restaurant in the city of Göttingen, the welcome was super warm and friendly. The menu was explained to us very well. Everything goes really quickly here 💪. Hochwertige Qualität, interessante Kombinationen von Zutaten und Gewürzen und viel Liebe und Passion beim Kochen lassen die Geschmacksknospen quasi explodieren. Ein wirklich sehr gutes Handwerk, dazu optimale Portionsgrössen und liebevolle Präsentation der Gerichte! Тор!

Das Essen war sehr lecker die Atmosphäre zusammen mit der Musik war einzigartig und dazu kommt, dass das Personal super freundlich war.

- Besitzerwechsel zu Anfang September 2023 erfolgt - Service war nur äußerst mäßig. Obwohl das Restaurant nicht voll besetzt war, dauerte alles sehr lange, beginnend mit den Getränken. Qualität der Essen war sehr divers: Von gut bis schlecht (Fleisch sehr trocken/zäh), leicht überteuert. Statt bestellten Pommes wurde Reis geliefert, ein Essen wurde ganz vergessen. Man entschuldigte sich mit dem Hinweis, dass man das Restaurant erst vor zwei Wochen übernommen habe. Auch wenn ich dafür bedingt Verständnis habe, in dem Ausmaß ist das nicht sehr förderlich fürs Geschäft und zufriedene Besucher*innen.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir würden sehr schön und freundlich empfangen das Essen ist unbeschreiblich lecker es wird frisch serviert das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich auch zu Kindern wo wir eigentlich baff wahren wegen den Kommentaren hier aber wir wahren auch da wo jetzt der neue Besitzer ist es hat uns sehr überrascht hinten gibt es auch ein Raum für Gäste wo ich für mein Sohn sein erstes Geburtstag sehr schön gefeiert haben dazu gab es auch einen sehr leckeren Buffet die deko Sachen für den Geburtstag wurden auch vom Besitzer übernommen und eingerichtet wie ich es haben wollte das deko habe ich selbst gekauft und dahin gebracht ich wahr wirklich überwältigt, überrascht und sehr sehr zufrieden Dankeschön an alle Mitarbeiter ich kann es wirklich sehr empfehlen

angenehmer Sommergarten, leckeres Essen und perfekter Service

Warmherziger Service, alle Mitarbeitern waren sehr freundlich und auch kinderfreundlich. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und wurden großzügig mit Vorspeisen serviert, sogar Nachtisch angeboten. Die Geschmäcke waren für uns relativ in Ordnung bis gut, haben uns leider nicht vom Hocker gehauen. Wie gesagt, ist aber bestimmt nur Geschmackssache. Deshalb kann ich trotzdem noch empfehlen.

Das Essen war toll! Scheint eine Familie zu sein, da wird mit Liebe gekocht! Der Service war so freundlich, vielen Dank!

Ein überaus leckeres Essen hatten mein Bester und ich im Außenbereich des Safrans. Wir hatten noch nie persisch gegessen und sind positiv überrascht worden. Die Geschmacksvielfalt ließ unsere Gaumen jauchzen. Es schmeckte einfach wunderbar!

Sehr sehr lecker… Geschmack zwischen süß und sauer sehr gelungen. Die Auberginen sind sehr lecker! Eigentlich war alles super ☺️

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, Fleisch superzart, Reis qualitativ sehr gut und der Nachtisch ebenfalls lecker. Die Preise alles in allem recht hoch, aber für die gute Qualität auf jeden Fall in Ordnung. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen, zumal hier tatsächlich richtig persisch gekocht wird.

I really like the inner design. I had been here many times before - when was Anatolia. The menu has changed a little, the flavours are mild. It is a very familiar cooking style, but the meat is soft and well cooked, the salad fresh. Not too spicy so adapt also to people who do not like too oriental style. A bit pricy for the quality, but anyone in line with the ratio quality/costs around.

The food was simple Amazing, so flavorful and delicious!!!! The ambience is great and the staff are super duper nicee and have great reccomendations! I would highly recommend!
