Ever been to Afghanistan/Iran? This the best appetizing introduction to the food you can enjoy there. Excellent quality, extraordinarily tasty, colourful presentation, very friendly advice and service. Quite an adventure!

The food is so delicious! Ali's service is really good. When I told them I was Korean, they said they liked Korean movies, and we had a great conversation, gave us a lot of food, provided great service, and suddenly started playing the national anthem and a Twice song, so it was really fun!

We ordered the special platter for two people which consisted of Kabab Koobideh, Joojeh Kabab, grilled chicken wings, Qabeli Polo with meat, Baghali Polo with meat, plain rice and Zereshk Polo. The Kabab Koobideh was really excellent, perhaps the best I have eaten in Germany so far. Joojeh Kabab was juicy and very tasty, not dry at all. The wings were pretty average. The meat in Qabeli Polo and Baghali Polo was well seasoned and tasteful. However, the raisins in the Qabeli Polo had a slightly fermented, sour taste, which was not that pleasant. Unfortunately, the Baghali in the Baghali Polo were not completely through and were quite hard. We also had Zeytoun Parvardeh, but it was not good, too salty and sour, didn't taste fresh and had little to do with real Zeytoun Parvardeh. Mast o Moosir was good and I really enjoyed the Doogh. Overall: I would definitely come back and order Kabab Koobideh! The other dishes were also okay, but Koobideh was my personal highlight.

I went to Alborz Restaurant for lunch today, which I chose based on the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the first impression was a bit disappointing - the furnishings didn't seem particularly inviting or tasteful. But the food was even more convincing: We ordered the chef's plate with kubideh, jujeh and barg - everything was fresh, aromatic and excellently prepared. As a starter we had manto, which we also really enjoyed. Only the dough wasn't to my taste - but that's subjective of course. I would particularly like to emphasize the extremely friendly service – attentive, warm and courteous. If you're looking for good Persian food, this is definitely the place for you. Highly recommended!

I paid €8.90 for that! The dish was full of oil and completely unsalted and unfortunately made without eggs. That wasn't even like Mirza Qassmi! The chicken soup was also without chicken, great! 😂 I'll never do that again

Food was served very sparingly and carelessly¡! Unfortunately the tip wasn't fresh and the rice didn't taste fresh either and the portion was too small and the price was too expensive with the quantity and low quality!!! It was claimed that everything was fresh, but if you know Persian cuisine and examine it yourself, you ask yourself where the good movement comes from!!!! So never againrrrr What a shame we were visiting Hanover!!!

We generally like Persian food and were here for the first time: it was actually a positive surprise! Not only are familiar dishes particularly good, we were also able to discover new delicacies for ourselves! In addition, the waiter was very friendly and accommodating. He gave us good advice and also introduced us to the way of real enjoyment. All in all a very good and really tasty experience! We'll be back soon...

I recently had lunch at Alborz. The environment and decoration were quite simple, and the space was a bit small. The restroom was okay, but not perfect. However, the food was excellent! We ordered a platter for four with different types of kebabs and Persian dishes, all of which were delicious. The variety of rice was a nice touch. We also got extra Koobideh, but the platter alone would have been enough. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was very kind. Highly recommend!

The best koobideh outside of Iran

Unfortunately, the Alborz is no longer what it once was. Last Saturday we apparently upset our stomachs there - today, two days later, me and my husband are still feeling sick & I haven't been able to eat anything since! I don't want to shame anyone or make them look bad, but I've never eaten such bad meat in my life as I did here in this restaurant. To this day, the meat is a “recurring memory” for me. Never again!
