This was our first time at the Alte Kanzlei (Old Chancellery). To our surprise, we were given a parking space right in front of the restaurant! A very good start to a lovely evening. We received an attentive welcome, and the beautiful Italian ambiance whetted our appetite for the menu. After a delicious aperitif, we started with the steak tartare, which was unfortunately a bit underseasoned and had a bit too much and overpowering Parmesan cream. The salmon cubes in a pistachio crust were perfect for me – fantastic! This was accompanied by a very fairly priced Italian Sauvignon Blanc. The Calabrian octopus was delicious – great, slightly spicy vegetables and very tender octopus. To finish, we had a sweet pistachio parfait. All in all, very good and fairly priced too!

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal mit (zu) wenigen Tischen. Sehr geschmackvolle Tischgestaltung mit Stoffdecke, Tischläufern und echtem Blümchen in der Vase. Zuvorkommende aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Kurze Wartezeiten bei Essen und Getränken. Ganz offensichtlich ein gut organisierter und funktionierender Familienbetrieb. Das Essen war hervorragend und weit über das hinaus was man beim Italiener üblicherweie erwartet. Außerdem besonders erwähnenswert das weiße Hausdressing beim Salat und das Dessert im Töpfchen, dessen Namen wir leider vergessen haben. Die Preise erschienen uns angemessen. Ohne sehr frühzeitige Reservierung wird man (auch in der Woche) keinen Platz bekommen können. Warum die Nachfrage konstant so hoch ist kann man hier in den Bewertungen lesen.

We recently visited the new Haferkasten and are absolutely thrilled! Luigi and his team have truly created something special here – a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The atmosphere is warm, the food is excellent, and the service leaves nothing to be desired. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail and the hospitality with which Luigi welcomes his guests – a huge compliment to the entire team!

Nice restaurant with very attentive service (this has changed a lot for the better in the last year or two). The pizzas are delicious and well topped. Extensive dessert menu. Only the selection of vegetarian dishes could be significantly larger (and as far as I remember it used to be). How about porcini mushroom risotto, for example? 😊

I've loved this Italian restaurant for years! I finally have time to rate them. We have been coming there with two not particularly strenuous children for years. The quality is consistently top. The pictures say it all, it tastes fantastic. We had fish soup and seafood pasta, as well as carbonara (original!) and Bolognese... Bruschetta was included for free. It's a quiet, beautiful corner with a large terrace in summer near a gallery. It is barrier-free and the people run it with an uncomplicated Italian family style that you can't help but appreciate. Thank you for existing and continuing to exist all these years. You're doing a great job!

We had a starter plate and a pizza and tartufo scaloppina for the main course. The flavors were good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very loud due to the live music, so it was impossible to have a conversation. It was a real shame. We had to ask for the bill three times before the waiter came 30 minutes later.
