The food and service are top. Only the tables outside are much too small and there is a lack of decoration, tablecloths and good dishes. You don't feel like you're in an upscale restaurant. The eye also eats.

Wonderful! Excellent restaurant with typical Sardinian dishes and generous portions (leftovers can be taken home). I ordered the Sardinian gnocchi, the fregola, a mixed starter and we drank the house wine: I was with some colleagues and they all thanked me for choosing the restaurant! Thanks also to the service for being really kind, as an Italian I can really recommend this place! I will definitely come back!

Anyone who wants a break from the run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant. Sardinian recipes, super tasty, fresh, homemade, great, young service team. Full plates, full glasses, full of Sardinian life. Highly recommended. Gladly again!

I ordered vongole pasta, which is not commonly found in Germany, and it was delicious, but not special. The wine was delicious, and I was impressed by the wine poured in a full glass, saying it was done the traditional way by my grandfather. I am taking off one star because the price is too expensive.

Ristorante 16 can be found in the middle of Bornheim and parallel to the lively 'Bergerstrasse'. In a quiet location with parking options. The food tastes good. The portions are enough for two people (which justifies the somewhat high prices). The staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very cozy and nicely decorated.

As always, great, large portions, good quality, friendly service, what more could you want.

We will definitely avoid Ristorante No. 16 in the future!!! As the innkeeper already said, there are many other Italian restaurants in Frankfurt. Luckily, yes, and many of them are very accommodating and service-oriented. Simply had the worst experience here. The chemistry with the innkeeper just wasn't right. We wanted to have a cozy meal with the family on the occasion of my big birthday. My evening was ruined by the innkeeper's attitude. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Some dishes were too salty. Service was quick and the service staff tried hard. The main thing I see as problematic is the reception and the way we treat guests. We were there 30 minutes earlier. Yes, of course it's too early, but it had to be that way. However, no one spoke to us for 20 minutes. No You are there too early, we don't have capacity, but you are welcome to wait here or maybe you can't come back in 10-15 minutes etc. Zero communication! More and more guests came and you just stood in the narrow entrance area. Also with a stroller and a sleeping child. When the table was almost ready, at reservation time, I went ahead and said that we would go to the table because I didn't want to stand there with the stroller any longer. I was told that it wasn't possible and that we had arrived too early and they were trying to get everything ready for us. The reaction was just excessive and loud. What doesn't work at all is to switch to Italian and call myself arrogant. I have never experienced such indifference and arrogance from a restaurateur.

This was the worst Italian restaurant I've been to in my entire life. It had no taste and lacked “love”. The staff wasn't particularly nice or helpful either. The ambience was mediocre and standard. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it.

I was very grateful for the information in the reviews that the portions are very large and are best shared. Then the prices justify themselves again. The quality was also outstanding. Reservation is a must, at least on weekends. I just don't like these 2 table times (6 p.m. - 8 p.m., 8 p.m. - XX p.m.), you either have to eat super late or get "kicked out" and have to end the evening somewhere else (unfortunately there are hardly any restaurants that don't handle this) . You can only pay with card from 50€. Hence 1 star deduction.

We've been eating there every now and then for about 3 years and we're thrilled every time. The food is always the same, great quality and everyone is very friendly and attentive. We look forward to our visit weeks in advance and have never been disappointed. Thanks for your great work :)

This is mainly about food. When it's full it's loud and the ambience is quite plain. We shared a starter of Sardinian specialties. Delicious. My rigatoni with suckling pig was wonderfully al dente and very tasty. Huge portion in a tin pot. There are only 2 average open wines of the quality country wines without any special character. A bit too expensive for 7 euros from a 2l bottle. As far as I know, the variety of Sardinian dishes are not available anywhere else in France. Tip: simply share dishes, then you can manage the portions and the prices will be more affordable.

Three words to describe this restaurant: Warm, delicious, home-like. You get authentic Italian food and the portions are really good!

I've wanted this much-lauded Sardinian restaurant for at least 30 years. I've only just managed it after moving to Löwengasse. It's certainly nice to sit on the terrace here in summer. Overall, the inside wasn't a good fēng shu for me, the yellow light bothered me somehow. We had ordered a table for our first yelp meeting, and due to some short-term hospital absences, it wasn't a problem to downsize. Despite the notoriously high prices, the house was still packed. 7 € for 0.2 l house wine white or red. Of course, as is well known, given to the brim. The staff is familiar with surface tensions, went really quickly and barely missed a drop. I didn't find the wines particularly remarkable. However, I was really pleased with the Starnberger Helle in the right Willibecher for €5. Bottle of Vöslauer water tasted good (€8). The portions are overall oversized, but look like a smaller amount in the large pot (which is often served on the table). I would have liked the antipasti mistu (€23), extremely tasty. The homemade sausages deserve special mention: heavenly and perfectly seasoned. I even finished 2/3 of the main course (€32). Extraordinary and delicious: Freguledda was the name of the dish: fregola (roasted durum wheat semolina that reminded me of large pearl barley) with fresh vongole veraci (clams), bottarga (Sardinian dried caviar), garlic, onions, basil, fresh tomatoes, parsley, a dash of white wine.

The best Italian place in Germany hands down, top-notch food and service make this a must have experience in Frankfurt, I hope there were more restaurants like this in the world

The 3rd generation is now working with us. The food is still great and we enjoy going there. The portions aren't quite as huge as they once were, but that doesn't have to be the case. Reservations are recommended if it is full as the acoustics are relatively loud. Lovingly managed...

Sorry but that was the worst service. It was insisted that we had to order a menu with 11 people. That's why one person had to leave the birthday group. Then we were hardly looked after and we sat there mainly without drinks. Generally unfriendly and arrogant :( The food is okay, but is completely ruined by the whole experience and really isn't worth it.

Wow! A great Italian in the heart of Bornheim. The pasta is incredibly tasty and very filling. It's enough to share a starter, a pasta and a dessert. The pasta is made in-house. Service is very friendly. Gladly again!

Der beste Italiener in ganz Frankfurt! Ich kann es jedem empfehlen dort mindestens einmal essen zu gehen, ansonsten verpasst ihr was. Kleiner Tipp: direkt beim Bestellen des Essens ein Tiramisu reservieren, sonst sind die ganz schnell weg. ;) Auch wenn das Restaurant etwas teurer ist, lohnt es sich alle mal ;)

Die Nr. 16 ist in der Weihnachtszeit immer wieder ein Highlight in der Frankfurter Gastronomie. Sehr schön und stilvoll geschmückt erzeugt es eine besondere weihnachtliche Atmosphäre. Der Service rund um Laura und Vincenzo ist aufmerksam und immer mit einem Lächeln unterwegs. Qualität vom Essen ist gut aber auch nicht mehr. Bei den Preisen könnte man etwas mehr erwarten. Pasta Murdega für 2 bestellt und ausreichend satt geworden. Der Tiramisu ist in Frankfurt der Beste den ich kenne.

Ein unfassbar fantastisches Restaurant. Jedes Mal ein Erlebnis. Es ist einfach immer wieder schön hier zu Essen. Die Qualität ist hervorragend. Geführt von 4 Geschwistern die jeden Besuch besonders machen. Die Portionen sind zum Teilen gedacht. Bestellt euch ein Glas Wein,auch dies wird hier zum Spektakel. Wer einen tollen Abend erleben möchte ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Ein wahres Juwel für sardische Gaumenfreuden! Das Ristorante Nr.16 überzeugt mit authentischem Charme und einer herzlichen Atmosphäre. Das 16 ist fantastisch: Ich habe mich wie auf Sardinien im Urlaub bei der Familie gefühlt. Tiramisu schmeckt köstlich, habe ich so gut noch nie gegessen!

Was soll man zu einem Klassiker sagen, dem man seit Jahrzehnten an drei verschiedenen Lokationen treu geblieben ist? Unverändert sympathisch, unvergleichlich mit irgendeinem anderen Restaurant, freundlich-lustig und extrem lecker! Hoffentlich kann ich noch ein paar weitere Jahrzehnte kommen….

Bornheimer Institution. Grandiose sardische Küche - liebevoller Familienbetrieb. 110 % empfehlenswert!

Der Name bezieht sich wahrscheinlich auf die Hausnummer, denn im Ranking der besten Restaurants sollte es weiter oben stehen - zumindest meiner Meinung nach. Das erste was auffällt: toller Service - die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und rücksichtsvoll. Was man auf den Fotos schon erahnen kann, wovon man aber trotzdem überrascht wird: ein Glas Wein ist wirklich ein Glas Wein. Gefüllt bis an den Rand. Und dann das tolle Essen: so viel leckeres auf der Karte, da fällt die Auswahl echt schwer. Was man aber definitiv probieren sollte: die hausgemachten Würstchen („Pizzahonga“). Bisschen wie eine sehr leckere Grillbratwurst mit italienischem Chimichurri - unglaublich gut! Also unbedingt nehmen, kriegt man auch einzeln. Die Auswahl der Hauptgerichte fällt schwer: viele leckere Sachen, mich hat besonders die Gnocchetti mit frischem Wild überzeugt. Aber Achtung: die Portionen sind echt groß, fast eher zum Teilen geeignet. Das Personal packt Reste aber auch gerne zum mitnehmen ein. Auch der finale Test, der Espresso, wurde mit Bravour bestanden. Ergo, gerade im Sommer mit der Möglichkeit, auf der tollen Terrasse zu sitzen, eine klare Empfehlung.

Family-run Excellent Italian restaurant in Frankfurt serving traditional dishes. Service was super kind and food was great, only a bit salty to our taste. Definitely worth visiting.

Riesige Nudel-Portionen und dazu sehr lecker, super freundlicher Service, was will man mehr? Preislich fair, wenn man die Portionsgröße bedenkt. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Keine (Debit)-Kartenzahlung möglich! EC-Karten werden abgeschafft und die meisten Banken haben diese schon ausgetauscht. Wir hatten Glück, dass wir noch genug Bargeld dabei hatten. Dafür gab es dann aber noch einen gratis Limoncello :)

Great Italian restaurant! Best seafood pasta spot you can have in Frankfurt

Schönes Ambiente, das einlädt auf einen tollen Abend. Wir wurden freundlich und zügig empfangen. Die Karte ist umfangreich und dauert eine Weile Überblick zu gewinnen. Bei der Auswahl vom Wein wurde Unterstützung angeboten. Die Gerichte sind gut ausgeführt und geschmackvoll auf ganzer Linie. Hochwertige Zutaten kommen hier zum Einsatz. Im gesamten eine absolute Empfehlung, Preis-Leistung passt. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Sind schon bestimmt das 20x bei diesem Italiener und vorweg. Es war immer super. Das Personal, das Ambiente ist einfach perfekt. Das Essen war auch eigentlich immer perfekt. Aber diesmal hatten wir die wie fast immer die Bombolonis und ein Thunfischsalat. Die Portion der Bombolonis ist kleiner geworden. Wenn man richtig Hunger hat dann eher für 1 Person , was bei gleich gebliebenem Preis nicht ganz so cool ist. Der Thunfischsalat war zwar lecker, jedoch musste man den Thunfisch da drin suchen. Das war früher auch nicht so. Bei dem Preis leider schade. Und ich bin noch der Meinung das die Fleischqualität der Bombolonis etwas nachgelassen hat. Ich weiß nicht ob von Rinderhack auf gemischtes gewechseltes wurde oder ob es die Fleischqualität an sich war. In allem aber immernoch das beste Italienische Restaurant was Pasta etc. angeht in Frankfurt. Hoffe es wird was das Essen angeht wieder wie früher. Werden weiterhin dort hin gehen.

Ist wohl schon Kult der Laden, gutes Essen mit zu großen Portionen und Weingläser die bis zum Rand voll sind. Ehrlicher Laden, immer wieder gerne!

Mit Abstand die beste italienische Küche in Frankfurt. Das Restaurant ist jeden Abend voll und ohne Reservierung bekommt man kein Platz. Leider gibt es zu wenig Kellner und es dauert bis man seine Getränke etc bekommt aber das gute Essen macht das wieder weg. Die Portion sind sehr groß und eine reicht für fast 2 Personen. Die Pizza honga (Würste) sind klasse und der Rest ist auch sehr sehr gut. Immer wieder gerne hier
