I dined at this restaurant while on vacation. A truly pleasant experience! The food is excellent, carefully prepared with quality ingredients. The location is welcoming and meticulously maintained, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. The service is impeccable: fast, attentive, and always with a smile. Special thanks to Mr. Nino, whose warmth and friendliness make the atmosphere even more welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Not really convinced... Service ok but not really welcoming or warm. Everything is relatively expensive (8.5 for a bottle of water and 3 for a glass 🙄). The pizza was good though and the setting was quite nice.

Unfortunately, it's overrated and overpriced – be careful with the appetizer! ​Due to the many good reviews, we had high expectations, which were unfortunately completely disappointed. The food was only mediocre for the rather high price. ​What annoyed us most, however, was an "unfair trick" with the appetizer: Since it took us a little longer to choose our main course, the waiter proactively offered us antipasti "for the table," which we accepted. Instead of a shared platter, as we expected, we received individual, poorly presented plates for each of the six people, each of which was charged €22.50. (We immediately returned one plate because the person didn't want to eat it at all – and this wasn't charged either.) The appetizer wasn't worth €20 in terms of taste, and since not everyone liked everything, a lot of it was left on me, so I wasn't hungry for the main course. ​The pizzas were also unfortunately just average and didn't improve the overall impression. We absolutely don't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant. Even without the annoyance with the appetizer, it would have been a maximum of 3 stars. For comparison: The next day, we had a fantastic pinsa at a nearby restaurant – at a fair price and with honest service. Everything was just perfect there. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, I have to report a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely unpleasant and ruined the entire visit. The staff seemed annoyed, inattentive, and unfriendly. There was hardly a smile, and questions were answered very reluctantly. As a guest, you felt completely unwelcome. The quality of the food was also unacceptable. I ordered seafood, which was unfortunately a total disappointment. It tasted bland and not fresh, which is especially critical for this type of dish. Overall, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone for the reasons stated. The combination of poor, unfriendly service and substandard food makes it a place best avoided. A successful restaurant visit depends on hospitality and good food, both of which I sorely missed here.

Beautiful restaurant with attentive service, delicious food, and fair value. The dishes were very flavorful and made use of few, but high-quality, ingredients. The linguine with veal and nuts was delicious. The stuffed gnocchi were also good, but a bit milder in flavor.

We went twice during our 4 days in Frankfurt. It was just delicious - and the service was wonderful. We struggled with what to order but their recommendations were fantastic.

Wonderful place! Very friendly and not overly stiff service, lovely atmosphere, both inside and outside (we were outside). The food is truly high-quality in both taste and craftsmanship. Everything is cooked to perfection, seasoned with great balance, and each dish is unique in its flavor. I only lose a point because I find the drinks really overpriced. The food isn't cheap either, but there's a lot of craftsmanship behind it. We shared an appetizer and each had a pasta dish. It came with an Aperol and a bottle of water. The water was €8.50 and the Aperol €9 or €9.50 (I've already thrown away the bill). All in all, we spent just under €90... I know everything's getting more expensive, but this is a bit steep.

The food was delicious, but too expensive for the quantity

Bad experience. Typical Italian restaurant abroad where there's very little Italian (not even the welcome). I had the pasta alla Norma, a typical Sicilian dish that was inedible. The sauce was bland and completely tasteless, the eggplant smelled just right, and the salted ricotta was missing. The tiramisu with orange (which didn't even taste like orange) was the icing on the cake.

It definitely lived up to the description; it melted in your mouth. A charming place with Italian music, I recommend it! P.S. The espresso was super Italian!

Mi novia y yo tuvimos nuestra primera cena en Frankfurt aquí. Encontramos este lugar en Google Maps y parecía bastante bueno. Pedimos sentarnos afuera, pero no pudimos porque estaban a punto de cerrar la sección exterior, pero conseguimos un cómodo asiento adentro. Pedí pescado con patatas y mi novia pidió una lasaña. La comida sabía buenísima. El tamaño de la porción del pescado era un poco pequeño, pero tenía un sabor buenísimo. Si fuera a un restaurante muy "elegante", no me quejaría del tamaño de las porciones, pero este no es ese tipo de lugar, por lo que esperaba que fuera un poco más grande, pero dicho esto, este fue uno de los mejores platos de pescado que he probado en un restaurante. En general, fue un poco más caro que otros grandes restaurantes que visitamos en Frankfurt. Eso combinado con el hecho de que no pudimos sentarnos afuera y el tamaño de las porciones es lo que lleva esta experiencia a un 4/5 en lugar de un 5/5. Definitivamente recomendaría este lugar.

An authentic Sicilian restaurant in Sachsenhausen. This restaurant serves delicious Italian cuisine, including various types of pasta, dolce, and accompanying drinks. There's no menu, but a QR code, as is the case for the drinks menu. If you want pizza, you'll have to specifically ask, as the pizzas aren't listed on the menu. The restaurant has several outdoor and indoor seating areas. The food is delicious, and the prices aren't exactly cheap. In particular, there are exclusive wines on the online menu. If you want good Italian food and aren't concerned about the euro, this is the place to go.

Wie ein Gastronom sein Lokal einrichtet ist letztendlich seine eigene Sache im Hinblick auf Authentizität und Ambiente. Allerdings gibt es Dinge, die für alle Gastronomen gelten müssen. Dazu gehören unteranderem Fluchtwege etc. . Vor den Toiletten Möbel so zu platzieren, dass man beim Öffnen der Toilettentür von innen einfach mal die Tür vor den Kopf gehauen bekommt, weil da gerade jemand durchgeht ist ein NoGo. Insgesamt sind die Räumlichkeiten in vielen Bereichen viel zu eng. Das bringt dann auch Situationen mit sich, die man sich als Gast so nicht wünscht:“ Gehst du auf Seite ich muss mit Essen durch.“ In einem Ton, der sogar nichts mit Gastgeber/Gast Umgang zu tun hat. Die Bestuhlung ist so eng, dass keinerlei Privatsphäre besteht – Gespräche am Nebentisch sind zwangsläufig mitzuhören. Wir empfanden es als Zumutung, uns mit Hilfe von Handy, iPad und Wandtafel durch die angebotenen Gerichte und Weine durcharbeiten zu müssen, viele auf der Karte im Internet zu sehenden Gerichte gab es überhaupt nicht. Pizza und authentische Nudelgerichte konnten wir ebenfalls nicht finden. In einem Lokal das mit seinen hohen Ansprüchen wirbt, ist dies weder Gastfreundlich noch zeitgemäß. Die Zubereitung meines ausgewählten Gerichtes war handwerklich grundsätzlich in Ordnung, allerdings habe ich auch hier den „Kick“, der mich dazu bringen würde erneut zu kommen, gänzlich vermisst. Ich werde in meiner Bewertung bezüglich des Geschmacks keine Angaben machen, da den Geschmack jeder Gast nur für sich selbst bewerten kann. Schlechte Bewertungen in Bezug auf Qualität und Geschmack gehören hier nicht hin, da diese Empfindungen immer persönlich sind und kein Maßstab für andere Gäste sein können. Der Service war stets bemüht, jedoch nicht so präsent, ansprechbar wie ich mir es als Gast wünschen würde. Mein Fazit: Insgesamt wirkt das Konzept unausgewogen – sowohl kulinarisch als auch preislich. Das berühmte la Dolce Vita, übersetzt als „das süße Leben“ oder „das gute Leben“, ist eine Philosophie, die die italienische Lebensart umfasst, bei der jeder Moment genossen und jede Erfahrung in vollen Zügen ausgekostet wird. Wer authentisches sizilianisches Flair und Küche sucht, wird hier wohl eher nicht auf seine Kosten kommen. Schade

The truffle pasta is top notch!!

Overrated place. Waiters are rude, they always speak Italian and we don't understand anything. Wines are overpriced. Meals are so-so, nothing extraordinary. We asked for the check several times but they were very slow. The place is also very small, it wasn't comfortable.

It was, quite simply, the best meal I've ever had, including in Italy.

I went because of the good reviews, but I have to say the atmosphere is nice, but I've definitely had better pasta at other restaurants than here. I find the prices extremely overpriced, and you don't get anything special for that. I wouldn't go again; I assume the reviews aren't as accurate as they should be. There was no pizza on the menu either, just to make it clear.

Despite high ambitions: Culinary and conceptually unbalanced The tables are far too small to adequately accommodate everything that was served and offered to us. Furthermore, the seating is so close that there is no privacy at all – conversations at the next table are inevitably overheard. We found it unreasonable to have to work our way through the dishes and wines on offer with the help of a cell phone, iPad, and blackboard – Corona is long over, and in our view, that is neither hospitable nor contemporary. The food was generally well-prepared, but the approach was inconsistent: When you're promising authentic Sicilian cuisine, fried potatoes in a porcelain chip bowl as a side dish to four lamb chops for €35.50 seems out of place. The sea bass with pistachios and paprika purée was a bit more creative, but was also served with the same unimaginative fried potatoes. The price and quality were out of balance for us. This impression continued with the wine: Bottle prices start at €39.00, which seems very ambitious given the usual purchase prices. Ultimately, we received a bottle worth €59 for €39, as two of our desired wines were unavailable—a fair move, but one that only marginally improved the overall impression. The service was attentive, but not consistently present or approachable. Conclusion: Overall, the concept seems unbalanced—both in terms of cuisine and price. Those seeking authentic Sicilian flair and cuisine will probably not get their money's worth here.

We had a reservation for four people and received a very friendly welcome. Despite the full house, the food arrived relatively quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything tasted truly delicious – both the starters and main courses were impressive. Unfortunately, the portions were much too small for our taste, especially considering the rather high price. For the money, you simply expect a bit more – both in terms of quantity and the overall experience. It's a shame, because the ambiance and service were otherwise excellent.

The restaurant's interior is very cozy. It's not large, but it has a certain charm. The wine list is fantastic, and if you want it, the wait staff will guide you through the evening. Having been there several times, I can say that everything I've eaten so far has been delicious. I definitely recommend the restaurant, but also the lasagna and the gnocchi with ricotta and walnuts.

An Italian restaurant worth trying, reservations are required

A welcoming restaurant with attentive service. The dishes are well-made, but the prices are high for what remains of pasta cuisine. The Italian ambiance also comes at a high price for the side dishes: €17 for two bottles of Italian water (San Pellegrino is admittedly a bit far from Frankfurt, but still!). Fortunately, service is included.

No doubt why this is 4.9 stars. Great food. Never had eggplant with the available recipe and orange Tiramisu is must try!! Must ask for spicy oil!!

True italian food. We got fresh bread with olive oil on the house. Tried the truffle gnocchi and they had this cheesy filling inside, super flavorful and delicious, must try. Friendly staff and the atmosphere is cozy. Definitely recommend.

Lovely wine, homemade pasta with great quality ingredients! Simply delicious!!! We were there for my mother's birthday and had a wonderful time! The staff organised a great candle for her to sing happy birthday and had music and lights. Just great!!! Grazie molto!!!

Today, on May 17, 2025, we ate at an Italian restaurant that's one of the top 10 in Germany. We sat on the first floor at a table for two. Unfortunately, the smell of the food got stuck in our clothes. The kitchen is very close, and the smell draws you in. My tip for you: Don't do what we did; choose the ground floor instead. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the food. The taste was excellent! But the portions are quite small. Don't be surprised if you see the portion sizes on the plates. I can say that I left the table hungry. But I tasted some very delicious and unusual flavors. I highly recommend making a reservation before going—the restaurant is in high demand. We ordered the house wine (red wine)—it was quite strong. I drank it very carefully, as it could have made me drunk. But he was good.

It was one of the worst Italian cuisine experiences I have ever had in my life. First, there is no proper menu. It is like a puzzle. Second no pizza for a trattoria and the pasta with ragu was one of the worst o have ever had in my life. I do not know how this restaurant got this rating but totally not recommended.

Tolles Restaurant!!!! Am 10.05. haben wir unsere Konfirmation in diesem tollen Restaurant gefeiert. Die vorherige Kommunikation und Abstimmung war toll und reibungslos. Man ist auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Es würden verschiedene Menüvorschläge unterbreitet. Alles frisch zubereitet und zusammen serviert. Einfach wunderbar. 26 Personen haben gleichzeitig ihr Essen bekommen. Es wurde jeweils 3 Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge und Dessert zur Auswahl angeboten. Einfach TOP 👍🏻 Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Gewünschte Getränke, oder Extras wurden schnell serviert. Es war ein tolles Fest mit sehr leckerem Essen und Wein. Alle Gäste waren total begeistert vom Essen und der Lokation. Wie kommen gerne wieder 😊 Vielen Dank für alles!

Dieses Restaurant scheint nur Fans oder massive Gegner zu haben, beides wird ihm finde ich nicht gerecht. Das Restaurant ist dem Italiener um die Ecke weit enteilt und es gibt viele durchaus interessante Gerichte die weit weg sind vom Standard. Nur viele Gerichte sind so super dann auch wieder nicht und die Preise passen eher zum sehr edlen Italiener. Nein wir waren zwar schon öfter hier, aber das Restaurant wird in Zukunft nicht mehr mit vorgeschlagen. Versprechen und Wirklichkeit passen zu wenig.

The food is delicious but the waiters are very rude. Even though the restaurant was empty, they took us to the farthest corner. We don't understand Italian, but the facial expressions say it all! We definitely understood that they were talking about us and joking with each other. It's annoying and ridiculous that they keep asking if it's over even though we're not done yet.

This is the fifth time I've been there. First of all: the kitchen is outstanding. The food was a dream. But the last few times we've noticed that the service is a bit - let's call it irritated - when you don't order starters and the once friendly tone turns into a very quiet ignore. Well, maybe it was just a feeling. Went there today and ate with the 4th for €220 (plus €20 tip). And the feeling was not deceptive. On the way out we passed 3 waiters and said goodbye. Not a smile, not a Ciao Grazie or anything. NOTHING. None of the waiters noticed that all 4 of us noticed that this was very inappropriate. According to the motto: money has been paid, service has been done and now disappears. This was very unpleasant and should definitely be clarified by the owner. I'm sorry about the food, which I rate 5* in this review, but for the money it's a no-go that we haven't encountered in any restaurant before. Too bad

Unfortunately, we had a very annoying experience (March 30, 2025) and we still think about it sometimes. First of all I would like to say that the food is absolutely outstanding. As a birthday present we bought a voucher for 4 people on Groupon for €150. This was treated like a "crime" and we were immediately second rate guests. After a huge drama in front of all the guests, it was initially questioned whether the voucher was even valid. We ordered €105 worth of drinks alone and gave a generous tip. We would have spent enough money on drinks in any case, but it wasn't until we ordered a bottle of wine that we noticed that the waitress became somewhat "friendly". To be honest, the evening was ruined for us. When you go out to eat for €250 you expect a good atmosphere - that was simply gone. Otherwise you can also order food home. It was the first time for us to use Groupon and that's how we first became aware of this restaurant (with really good food) and would definitely have come back again if the service was normal. I don't understand why a restaurant would offer something like this if it is such a problem. Please, in God's name, don't offer vouchers like this if you then treat your guests so incredibly unkindly. I would have preferred to eat a Margherita pizza for €30.
