Trattoria i Siciliani in Frankfurt am Main

Meine Reservierung mit der Angabe des Wunschtisches hat super geklappt. Wir hatten zwei schöne Salate mit Garnelen und dazu Zibibbo aus Sizilien. Perfektes Duo!

The restaurant is cozy, beautifully furnished, but after reading reviews here I was expecting more. The staff is not very welcoming, starters for 22 Eur were not tasty, lasagna with beef and aubergine was missing some taste, tortellini with truffle was very mediocre, however the pasta with spicy veal -- delicious 😋 Looks like all the pasta they produce there in place. Sorry, but 100 Eur for lunch of 3 without drinks isn't worth it.

Discovered by chance and saved under “favorite restaurants” after eating. The food was really excellent, the wines and espresso were excellent. A pearl!

Ogni volta che siamo con mia moglie o la mia famiglia in Germania ed in particolare a Frankfurt il nostro pensiero va al Ristorante Italiano Trattoria i Siciliani, in via Walter-Kolb-Straße 17, 60594 ( ovviamente preso da internet :) troppo complicato l’indirizzo) …. Il mio piatto preferito senza dubbio il Gamberone jumbo con crosta di farina di ceci e Burrata hummmm una delizia del palato …. Come sempre ad accoglierci il personale che ti fa sentire sempre in famiglia e il mitico proprietario Matteo che fanno di tutto per accontentare tardi nei limiti del possibile…. Devo dire sinceramente anche nell’impossibile …. Tantissimi piatti italiani particolari che ti fanno sentire come dietro casa. I fatti potete trovare un grande assortimento di vini e olio siciliano quello vero che dal colore vedi la “ fluorescenza”.Complimenti siete veramente una eccellenza a livello estero e detto da me che ho girato i migliori ristoranti in Europa è tutto dire!!!

No suelo buscar restaurantes italianos (ya que soy italiano y como italiano todo el tiempo) , pero decidimos ir a este restaurante porque el nombre "I Siciliani" me intrigaba, me atraía. El ambiente cambió en cuanto entramos. Nos encontraron una mesa, tanto el servicio como la comida eran de primera clase, igual que si estuviéramos en Sicilia. La carta de vinos también estaba bien surtido, los precios razonables, todo realmente excelente. Será mi ir - al restaurante para mis amigos y para mí cada vez que me encuentre de paso por Frankfurt

Reseña: Visité este restaurante con grandes expectativas, influenciado por las prometedoras fotos de TripAdvisor, pero la experiencia fue, lamentablemente, un desastre de principio a fin. Desde el inicio, nos asignaron a tres personas una diminuta mesa de 60x60 cm, claramente insuficiente para estar cómodos, y esto a pesar de haber hecho reserva. Nos colocaron en una terraza cubierta y calentada con estufas de gas, pero el calor no era el problema: el intenso olor a gas y la evidente falta de oxígeno hacían que estar allí fuera agobiante y poco saludable. Intentamos empezar con buen ánimo y pedimos un vino específico que nos gusta mucho, pero el camarero decidió, sin consultarnos, traer otro que consideró “mejor”. Para colmo, no nos lo ofreció a probar y, al preguntar por la elección, simplemente dijo que era superior al que pedimos. Este gesto es una falta de consideración y respeto hacia el cliente. El servicio en general dejó mucho que desear, y la relación calidad-precio fue absolutamente desproporcionada. Por lo que pagamos, esperábamos no solo una mejor calidad en los alimentos, sino un trato adecuado y un entorno confortable, cosa que no sucedió en absoluto. En resumen, un lugar que prometía mucho pero terminó siendo decepcionante en todos los aspectos. No puedo recomendarlo.

Ich kam mit einem Gutschein ( Geschenk seitens meiner Mutter. Tolle Vorspeise, hausgemachte Nudeln. Wein- Primitivo- kräftig voll. Gutes Gesamtergebnis!

The food was amazing! We had prawns and truffles pasta, highly recommend. Wine choice is the best we’ve ever had! Very professional and friendly staff and truly Italian spirit inside. Prices are reasonable and service very quick.

Ausgezeichnetes 5 Gänge Menu, besonders die hausgemachten Nudeln gefüllt mit Lamm in Trüffelsosse sind in Erinnerung geblieben! Dazu Weiss und Rotwein aus Toskana- gute Begleitung.

It was more of a stroke of luck that we visited this beautiful restaurant today. Right in advance. That certainly wasn't the last time. Apart from the beautiful ambience and the great service, a big compliment to the kitchen. Here you will find not only Italian standards on the menu but also very special offers. You look forward to every single course without being disappointed. And finishing with a great Italian homemade dessert rounds off the entire menu. I can really recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

We made a reservation for 2 and still had to wait an hour in the cold outside the door. Super embarrassing, plus really cheeky employees on the phone We then left again, reservations don't seem to be worth it here, it's better to go straight to better shops like Quattro

Dinner for special occasions for two or in a group can be enjoyed here very well. Danger! Reserve in advance! The food is very tasty and the service is very friendly. The atmosphere is small but nice. Personally and comfortably furnished, unfortunately a bit cramped due to lack of space.

Overall one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve visited in Germany, the atmosphere felt great with lots of Sicilian touches in the decorations, and the menu selection was also fantastic with a good variety of dishes to choose from.

Again flawless stay! Service friendly and helpful, table was ready for us. We ate Gnocchi with truffles and lamb with pistachio crust. We drunk their home made red wine ( Nero Davola) with their own label! Great one- I took one bottle home!

Unfortunately, pizza is nothing special. I ordered a Parma pizza, the taste was pretty boring, the Parma ham was cut way too thick. Overall the evening was disappointing for the price.

We had a great time at Trattoria i Siciliani, we booked in during the Christmas period and had a fantastic service despite the restaurant being very busy, would recommend and will be visiting again.

A nice and very pleasant "Italian", attentive waiters who were never intrusive but who always had an overview, not only with us. The wine was heavy and delicious, just the way I like it. Let's get to the food. My companion had a fish menu. I have a meat menu. The home-baked bread was great and the olive oil was very good. The Vittello Tonnato was beyond any doubt and very tasty. The lasagna that followed was...let's say, OK in terms of taste...but unfortunately too cold for my taste. If I had been alone, she would have gone back. Just like the main course. The meat was very firm to the bite and the rosemary potatoes had too much roasted flavor. The nut parfait tasted okay, but unfortunately it was frozen so hard that it was difficult to get it onto a spoon. Conclusion: the first visit in February was so good that I was always happy to recommend the trattoria. The second visit was a disappointment but I give every restaurant a failed attempt....and all good things come in threes.

We came to celebrate an important event, the place is very welcoming (except the entrance with the gas heaters behind the plastic sheet) and the staff is very helpful. The food is fantastic, the oil tasted at the beginning was excellent, I recommend their starters, and all the pasta portions are very generous. Normal prices but certainly excellent quality.

Antipasto was great. The homemade pasta was good but I was also surprised it came out that shape 😅 thought it’d be like a spaghetti or linguine but maybe it’s just cultural differences. I just didn’t feel very welcome by the staff hence the 4 star ⭐️

A little off-center. Inside it is cute and quaint. The waiter who greeted us was friendly. We were a nice group and we had some first courses and 1 pizza as an appetizer. The pizza was good, we liked it. The first courses were all good except the lasagna, which was inedible. The lasagna was overcooked and the ragù was "pappata". Coca Cola only comes in a glass and not in a bottle or can. Honestly, given the route we took, I wouldn't go back.

Wir hatten am 9.11.2024 eine Tischreservierung auf 20:30 Uhr, weil wir den Geburtstag meines Vaters feiern wollten. Dafür waren wir extra 45 Minuten aus dem Umland angereist. Am Restaurant angekommen stießen wir auf eine Schlange von etwa 15 Personen am Eingang, die aus unterschiedlichen Grüppchen bestand. All diese Menschen hatten ebenfalls eine Tischreservierung und manche warteten schon seit über einer Stunde. Nach und nach gaben einige der Wartenden frustriert auf, wodurch die Schlange kürzer wurde und wir einen Blick in den Wintergarten erhielten. Im inneren waren die Tische und Gäste sehr eng zusammen gestellt. Auf uns machte das einen ungemütlichen Eindruck. Unsere Hoffnung lag auf dem Gastraum, den wir von außen nicht einsehen konnten. Insgesamt warteten wir 40 Minuten im Eingangsbereich, der mit gasbetriebenen Heizstrahlern geheizt wurde, gemeinsam mit anderen, ohne auch nur einmal vom Personal angesprochen zu werden. Anschließend sind wir unverrichteter Dinge wieder gegangen. Wir kennen einige gehobene Restaurants im Umkreis und so etwas ist uns noch nicht untergekommen. Wenn man im Vorfeld einen Tisch reserviert, erwartet man, dass dieser bei Ankunft bereit ist. Wir sind maßlos enttäuscht von dieser Art mit Gästen umzugehen. Falls es dem Betreiber darum geht, den Umsatz zu maximieren, indem er alle Tische durchgehend belegt hat, dann soll er doch bitte keine Tischreservierungen annehmen, die er nicht beabsichtigt zu erfüllen. Was wir hier erlebt haben, lässt sich nur als unseriös beschreiben. Der Laden und vor allem der Betreiber hat sich die schlechte Bewertung redlich verdient. Eine absolute Unverschämtheit!

We arrived and he told us that we had to wait 20/30 minutes and that's fine but then he had 3 people pass by and another who arrived later but who he knew and instead he told us the next one is you in a rude way and told us if you want you can wait but I don't know how long also I, who am a chef in Rome, tell you that the dishes I saw passed were not that great but he was just rude in Germany because in Italy he was hungry especially in Sicily 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Completely overbooked when we arrived. We had a reservation, and there was a big crowd outside also with reservations. The staff gave no updates what so ever, and when we finally managed to get in contact with one, she couldn't say how long it would take. It seems extremely chaotic, and the indoor setting seems very outdated. Its very 🤨 suspecious with all the good reviews. Stay away. 🚫

We had a table reservation for 8:30 p.m. because we wanted to celebrate my father's birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant we encountered a queue at the entrance. All of these people had reservations and some had been waiting for over an hour. Inside, the tables and guests were crammed together like they were on an economy flight to Bangkok. The operator's calculations can be quickly deduced here. Everything here is designed to maximize profits. We can only speculate as to where savings will be made in the kitchen, despite the high prices, because after 40 minutes of waiting we left without having accomplished anything and without the staff having spoken to us. The store and especially the operator really deserve the bad rating. An absolute disgrace!

After our visit to the restaurant, the extremely high rating of 4.8 stars is incomprehensible to me. The service was handled quickly. The food was very below average for a normal Italian restaurant. If you then have to pay €33 for a main course and the restaurant is described as a “gourmet restaurant”, then that borders on being cheeky.

A restaurant with an Italian touch, I am not used to eating "non-traditional" dishes, however this place was a pleasant surprise.

Der typische Italiener für um die Ecke!!! Einfach Klasse. Atmosphäre, Ambiente und Service passen einfach. Man könnte meinen man wäre auf Sizilien. Ein gemütliches Ecklokal mit einer tollen Küche. Wir sind öfters hier, und es ist immer wieder sehr angenehm hierher zu kommen. Alles wird schön präsentiert, ist frisch und hat einen kräftigen sizilianischen Touch. Selbst Wünsche wegen gesundheitlicher Besonderheiten setzt die Küchencrew perfekt um. Und wenn mal nicht, ein kurzer Hinweis und schon passt es wieder, ohne das ein Kellner am murren wäre. Überhaupt das Personal, ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles in Allem fühlt man sich hier gut aufgehoben.

Because of the great reviews, we were looking forward to a nice and culinary Italian evening yesterday. The disappointment was great. This had very little to do with Italian cuisine as I know it. I ordered the herb-crusted sea bass with ratatouille (caponata). There was no crust except for pieces of roasted potato floating in oil. Ratatouille was overcooked vegetables that had been ground into a paste in the blender and had the perch soaked in herbs... the taste was actually almost inedible. My wife had a pizza that stayed in the oven too long. But otherwise you could let it pass. The lamb fared like my sea bass and the pasta dish was stuffed pasta in creamy mush. Antipasti were 4 small bites of sea bass, cheese and eggplant, and small squid on ready-made pesto. The wine was fine... The price was massively overpriced. After our complaint, we were served an espresso corretto on the house, but that couldn't really compensate us... we'll definitely never see this restaurant again. One point for the service and the attempt to make amends…

The place is a little too small although very colorful and welcoming. Speedy service. Very normal pizza. Too expensive! Not good quality/price ratio!

The food is very good without any debate, but what is very shocking is the prices. It's way too expensive for what you get. You can't charge over €17 for 10 gnocchis, I assumed a good filled plate. When I go to another restaurant I get 16 gnocchis for just under 11 euros and they are miles better. When I had dessert I almost fell to the floor and thought that with the sorbet you could get something for over €9. None, a small pot with 2 balls. Rarely am I so shocked by a restaurant that is so expensive and gets so little for it. Therefore I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Unfortunately very disappointed, it was really extremely expensive and my Tonno Pizza was missing half of the cheese. Unfortunately, taste is nothing either. Sorry.

Wow rating One of the best Italian restaurants in Frankfurt. It is spread over two floors, the upper floor where there is a small room, the kitchen and bathroom are not accessible for wheelchairs. Wir haben für 17 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert. Wäre nicht nötig gewesen, das Restaurant war leer. Wir konnten wählen geheizt draußen, EG oder 1. Sock oben. Oben war es sehr gemütlich, zwar alles sehr eng, aber typisch italienisch. Bei der Antipasti Sicilia haben wir uns beraten lassen. Teils warm, teils kalt. Sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir hatten spigula canazzu, burro e salvia, Gnuccuni a surrintana und paista nivura. Alles absolut geschmacklich einwandfrei. Die schwarzen Nudeln etwas zu al dente, der Seewolf hätte mehr Salz vertragen. Aber man konnte ja nachwürzen. Das Sufflet chocolato spitzenklasse. Ein schöner Spätnachmittag. Lediglich die Männerlastigkeit war etwas überraschend, im engen Ausgang standen 3 kräftige Männer Spalier. Unfreundlicher Abgang.

Now where to start, I had great expectations because of the many good receptions but there were plastic parts in the food! Drinks way too cold! I chose the meat menu for 60 euros!! decided, the 4 courses were very small, sauce had no taste, meat was dry, potatoes were more than soft-boiled! Dessert, 2 tiny pieces of ice cream with chocolate syrup from the tube... Service (depending on the waiter) arrogant and unfriendly! Toilets...no no words!! People who say the food was good have never been to Italy!

The pizza was ok so far, but it was a bit tiring to order the pizza. 5 people and one card?! The online menu doesn't show all the dishes and is a bit tiring to read. A restaurant should have multiple maps and not refer to an online map.

For our birthday we ate here, the waiters were super kind and nice, they even played happy birthday music for the cake! They were really kind!!! We ate a really excellent Sicilian starter and as a first course linguine with seafood feutti and black ravioli filled with burrata and sea bream and as a second course an escalope with gorgonzola, asparagus and two potatoes. What can I say, nothing short of exquisite!!! Highly recommended!!!!!😚😊☺🤗

Very nice restaurant though the entrance seems a little hidden. We walked on by before we realised we had completely missed the restaurant. Glad we went back. We both ordered daily specials with truffles; gnocchi and ravioli respectively. Service was impeccable. Espresso perfect.

Very tasty food, a little more expensive but the price is worth it. Delicious carpaccio, with enough truffles. Excellent orecchiette with salsicia. The Truscie are also very good.

As a starter I had carpaccio with truffles. There was a lot of truffle on the carpaccio, which was too overpowering for me personally. So I didn't finish the appetizer. For the main course I had the black pasta pockets. They were very tasty, but very al dente for my taste. However, you can taste that the noodles are homemade. The service was ok. Quite impersonal and disorganized at times. It was quite cool in the winter garden because we were sitting right in the entrance area. All in all, this is a great restaurant for anyone who prefers more unusual Italian cuisine.

Francesco and Daniella were awesome! Food was Michelin Star worthy! Starter sampler was fantastic, and the veal medallions were outstanding! A hidden gem in Frankfurt! Would recommend to locals and visitors alike. Molto Bene!!
