In terms of food and service, it's a very clear recommendation, only the furnishings are getting old, the style is stuck in the 80s. The food is more important to us, it was absolutely delicious, there were also daily specials. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they still made it possible for us to eat in the fully booked restaurant. Top!

Food wasn't really my thing. Spaghetti with seafood. Spaghetti was overcooked. The fish was sometimes tough. I only saw pizza at the other tables and it didn't look really tasty. Pizza should be very fluffy and have an airy edge, even if it is baked in the oven and not with a wood-fired oven. This looked more like frozen dough that had been taken out of the freezer the day before to be used as a topping. Service was good. Ambiance was great. Unfortunately, I value good food and not the ambience. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant to my Italian compatriots.

Standard pizza without any spices, tomato/tuna salad without onions served despite what is stated on the menu. There was no request for further drinks, my suggestion of another drink after the aperitif with the meal was ignored. Expulsion comment "Would you like another coffee, we'll clean the machine straight away"

As always, there were a few olives, garlic quark and parmesan with bread beforehand. The dishes were all great in terms of taste. The outdoor chairs are comfortable. Parking, however, is a matter of luck.

You will be warmly welcomed here. But then it's a lot of show and not a lot of real stuff. There are a lot of flies in the restaurant, so the question is whether it makes sense to leave a kind of Parmesan cheese uncooled in the anteroom. At a restaurant like this I expect a bound menu and not a piece of paper on the table like at a fast food restaurant. Pizza was a bit smacked. All products were roughly cut and so everything was just in the mouth. There were products on the pizza that were not mentioned at all on the menu. And if you want to have a conversation, forget it, it's way too loud even though the room is so small. Operational blindness has set in here, which is a shame. Not recommendable.

Very good service, great quality of food, very good wines, fair prices. One of the best Italians in Rhine-Main for a long time. Update: No longer recommended. Yesterday it was almost crushed by panels because it wasn't secured against the wind. The same thing happened to two other guests that evening. The appetizer we ordered was not brought. I had to wait more than 10 minutes to be able to place my first drink order. Ordered an aperitif and it didn't come either. Wine was warm. You need to be asked twice to order the main course. Main course meat was poorly prepared. Side dishes wrong and too salty. Supposedly fresh mushrooms were frozen goods. Complaint not possible! - Didn't get any service for around 45 minutes! (sic) Then I had to get up to tell a waiter to bring the bill and I then waited another 20 minutes. The staff was full and the outdoor area was at most 2/3 full. Update: Been there again after a long time. Rating full 5 stars. Service was top. Food was fresh and of impeccable quality. Service also top. This makes it fun again.

Saturday evening 5 p.m The restaurant was still pretty empty, but that changed over the course of our stay of about 1.5 hours. Service greeted us warmly and we were seated immediately. The daily menu was presented immediately and drinks were requested. Our children also received a very friendly welcome. We sat outside, the cleanliness was great, the atmosphere was cozy. It's a casual restaurant for everyone (including children👍), not a "trendy meeting point" - fortunately. We ordered roast suckling pig, lamb shank and spaghetti with grilled scampi and children's dishes from the daily menu. Food came quickly, children first - great. Portions were generous, especially with the scampi. Every dish tasted really good and was completely appropriate for the price. My only point of criticism is the garnish/how the food was prepared. The eye eats in a restaurant, that makes a big difference to me. The garnish was the same for all dishes and in my opinion (I come from the catering industry) it wasn't really suitable. E.g. A slice of orange on the lamb shank??!! Something would also be prepared “quickly”. Still definitely recommended if you feel like Italian.

We had reserved the round table for 10 people. Hoping also during to be able to maintain your stay during your stay. Unfortunately this was not possible or only to the person directly next to you at the table. The food was similar to that of many Italian restaurants. Unfortunately that evening the cream of asparagus soup was a disappointment. The pizza was too soft and not seasoned for our taste. The homemade hot oil served with it for seasoning was very good. The bread that was served beforehand was also very tasty. . The rest of the food from the people sitting next to us was fine and had no particular positive qualities. We passed up an Aperol Sprizz for €8.50. Conclusion for us: an Italian restaurant like many in Darmstadt.

Very tasty food! Also gluten free. Extremely good and fast service. Went there with 4 adults and 5 small children! The boss cut the kids' food, a dropped dish was immediately re-prepared and the dropped one was placed visibly next to us. This is gastronomy ;-)

Fantastic place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. I had the truffle pasta with plenty of truffle and a tiramisu. The food is absolutely delicious. Service is kind! Recommend to bring cash if possible.

Yesterday, April 27th, 2024, I was eating in a restaurant with my wife and had such a bad experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Since we wanted to take our food with us, I politely asked the waiter (older gentleman and very thin) to pack our food. He then brought us a bowl and a box and told us to do it ourselves. I then asked whether it was common practice for the guests to pack their own food and the neighboring table also received this service 5 minutes ago. He said they basically don't do that. The issue was then settled for me and we packed our food independently. But what happened next really exceeded all expectations! The waiter insulted me deeply and threw my pizza on the table. He became violent towards me in the bar and grabbed my arm and called me bad things. If the boss hadn't intervened, he would have done much worse. The waiter then followed us on the street and looked for the conflict. I sincerely request the owner to read this carefully and contact me under the comment! The waiter should be fired and should be happy that I'm there with my wife and he won't get a report from me. People like that destroy the business. The rest of the staff was nice and tried to mediate. Never again for me and a no go!

The food is always a dream, pure enjoyment. There is still quality here. Very good wines, great starters and desserts that round everything off. The service is very accommodating, always on hand to pour in and out. Always in a good mood and funny, even the boss takes the time for a little chat. Recently ordered a pizza to go🤤 What fresh, tasty ingredients from the ground, not to mention. All in all, our best Italian restaurant we have ever eaten. I didn't like the ravioli at all, the pasta was ok but the sauce was a bit disgusting. The service was nothing special. I'm sorry because I really wanted this restaurant, which I must say is also expensive by German standards.

I'm excited! The meal is available gluten-free for an additional charge of two euros. Gluten-free pizza tastes like a “real one with gluten”. You don't have a gluten free taste like dry and mushy. The pizza is the opposite, airy and crispy. The staff is very friendly and in a good mood. I would recommend it to everyone :)

Super friendly and great Italian! As someone unfamiliar with the area, we became aware of this great Italian restaurant via Google. There were two of us there. It was a great evening experience, the service was friendly and very attentive. The food was very good both in quantity and quality. Everything okay so far. But the main course (baked plaice) came to the table "unseasoned and salt-free". The answer to the corresponding question was: "We hardly ever season with salt because it is unhealthy". Overall: Looks good, taste poor (seasoning only helps to a limited extent).

Overpriced, bad service. Card payment only from 50€ and only EC card, credit cards are not accepted. Meat was really tough and dry. The waiter forgot my drink order twice in a row, and when the drinks came they were the wrong ones. Staff is absolutely overwhelmed. The tables were so close together that you could hardly move. Station hall feeling. That was my first and last visit.

Very fresh and delicious food! Family-friendly and special-needs-friendly. Great atmosphere, great team! Allow time to look for a parking space, but the search is definitely worth it! The grilled salmon is phenomenal, as is the Fiocchi Disiderio (pasta packets with gorgonzola and pear sauce). The starter and dessert menu also leaves nothing to be desired, simply top:-)

We had Ada Rabiata and pizzas, which were ready quickly and the generous portions were filling. If you don't book a table here you won't be able to eat there or you'll have to wait, it's always very busy

The service was really on point and very pleasant in a relaxed, familiar manner. I thought the little greeting from the kitchen was great: great bread with hard cheese, olives and delicious garlic cream. The original Italian spaghetti carbonara (wasn't on the menu) was really delicious. The good potato soup impressed with a creamy, silky mouthfeel and the tiramisu at the end was a cloudy poem. Overall, a good selection of dishes with an additional large daily menu. Good quality at reasonable prices. The restaurant was full, so it was a little louder, but it didn't detract from a successful evening with colleagues.

The food and the selection of dishes were good. Unfortunately, I have to say that the operation sometimes exceeds limits. Very personal questions are asked. A dessert was also offered which was then charged for. We all understood that if the waiter offers a dessert, it is inappropriate to charge for it afterwards. Regarding the reviews and the gluten-free offer, I tried it out. Unfortunately I was seriously disappointed. The normal pizza literally looked and tasted like a Ristorante TK pizza only at 8 times the price. Baked in a pizza shape, which is what I expect from a delivery service but not from a restaurant. The parmesan pasta was also totally bland. Atmosphere was just ok, but only when there were more guests there. Before that, an uncomfortable silence. Service reasonably nice. This restaurant is no longer an option for us. P.S: Since the innkeeper here says that they don't tell you on site if something is wrong. We have that, but it doesn't change anything about the pizza or the food. There was no apology either.

We were there on a Saturday evening and, despite the house being full, the employees served us in a friendly manner and took time for us (and even a little joke) instead of reflecting the stress to the outside world. Das Essen kann ich nicht bewerten weil wir nach 15 Minuten Parkplatzsuche aufgegeben haben. Wir haben angerufen dass wir nicht kommen und in so einem Fall kann ich nicht akzeptieren dass man mit mir unfreundlich ist. Das war’s für mich mit Mare Monti.

Wuseliger italienisches Lokal mit leckeren Speisen. An lauen Sommerwochenenden kommt das gut organisierte Personal kaum bei der Bedienung der vielen Gäste hinterher. Der große Außenbereich grenzt an den Dornheimer Weg, auf dem mehrere Buslinien verkehren. Als wir das erste Mal da waren, sorgte ein junger, versierter Zauberer am Tisch für die Unterhaltung der Gäste. Ende November 2022 geht es genauso wuselig zu - diesmal innen. Obwohl das Restaurant knüppelvoll ist, gibt es kaum Wartezeit bis zum Servieren des Essens. Allerdings ist es recht laut. Ein paar Schallbrecher wären nützlich. Auch im Sommer 2023 war es wieder super.

Die erste Adresse für das beste Essen in Darmstadt. Nirgendwo schmeckt es besser. Wechselnde Spezialkarte. Dazu sehr gute ausgewählte Weine, freundliche Bedienung, nettes Ambiente. Ich würde 6 Sterne vergeben.

Ehrlich, direkt, gut. Wer für 200 Flocken extra alles klinisch steril durchdesignt und Standard-Hipster-Einrichtung haben will, ist hier falsch. Gott sei Dank. Alle anderen essen einfach gut, machen blöde Witze mit dem Personal und genießen das Leben. 2023: immer noch verdammt gutes Essen und tolle Gäste wie Servicekräfte!

Leider nicht zu empfehlen mit enttäuschendem Essen für den Preis und vielen Schimpfwörtern unter der Bedienung (wenn man italienisch versteht). Schade!

Wir waren an Silvester da und uns hat es sehr gefallen. Ein Restaurant wo ich auf jeden Fall wieder hin gehen würde. Das Essen war super lecker und der Service 10/10.

Wir hatten am Samstag 09.12.23 nach 5 Jahren endlich mal wieder eine Weihnachtsfeier von der Arbeit her. Die Weihnachtsfeier haben wir immer in diesen Restaurant gefeiert. Tisch für 18 Uhr reserviert. Das Essen und der Service war super. Und sehr gute Laune hatten wir mitgebracht die wurde aber durch einen Kellner später zur Sprachlosigkeit und Wut. Um 20:20 Uhr hatte uns einer der Kellner aufgefordert zu gehen weil das Restaurant den Tisch für die nächsten Gäste reserviert hatte ohne mal zu wissen wann wir gehen und ob wir noch etwas bestellen möchten. Wir waren sehr wütend darüber. Das ist uns in diesen Restaurant das erste mal passiert. Das Restaurant hätte wenigsten uns sagen können z.B.s. für 3 Stunden können sie den Tisch reservieren aber nicht einfach die Gäste sozusagen raus schmeißen. Also ich persönlich möchte nicht mehr in dieses Restaurant gehen.

Einer der besten Italiener im Umkreis. War gestern mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Super Essen, etwas gehobenere Preisklasse, aber absolut gerechtfertigt, top Qualität, ordentliche Portionen und optisch sehr schön angerichtet. Sehr freundliches, flinkes und kompetentes Personal! Grazie mille Attilio und Team, Ihr seid spitze, dafür 5 Sterne und Daumen hoch!

Ambiente ist sehr schön, leider fanden wir die Speisen überbewertet und der Service war nicht sonderlich auf Zack (war auch viel los). Preis-Lesitung stimmt auch nicht so ganz. Saltimbocca war nicht so toll, etwas über den Punkt und die Pizza haben wir auch schon deutlich besser wo anders bekommen, eher 0815. Wir haben uns für das Restaurant aufgrund der Bewertungen und der Nähe zu unserem Hotel entschlossen. Die Bewertungen können wir leider nicht teilen, war eher mittelmässig. Vielleicht näcshtes Mal die Pasta mit Trüffel, sah besser aus.

Super freundlicher Service, Nudeln mit Trüffel - sehr lecker und das Beste ist, das Restaurant ist durchgehend geöffnet, sonntags essen um 14:00 ist möglich!

Sehr sehr tolles Lokal. Hier war ich mit ein paar Freunden essen und es hat uns allen echt gut gefallen. Gerade das man hier auch Glutenfrei bestellen kann war echt top. Das sieht man heutzutage echt nicht oft in einer Pizzaria. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Pizza bestellt zum mitnehmen. Die Pizzen waren gut und auf die Sonderwünsche wurde Rücksicht genommen. Preise in Ordnung. Wartezeit auch noch ok.

Lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen, die Pizza war wirklich Perfekt👌(Pizza Chef). Auch die kleine Vorspeise mit Oliven, Käse und Aioli war herausragend. Ich bin rundum begeistert.

Ambiente: Von außen betrachtet macht es eher den Anschein als sei es ein kleines Italienisches Restaurant wo man bestellt weil er einfach um die Ecke ist und man nicht lange auf das Essen warten möchte. Doch der Schein täuscht!!! Service: Das Service Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, jedoch von der Art her eher speziell (muss man mögen). Vorspeise: Bei der Vorspeisenplatte für zwei empfanden wir das Preis Leistungsverhältnis eher Anpassungsbedürftig, aber dennoch sehr Lecker. Essen: Ich würde sagen hier sagen Bilder mehr als Worte ... Selbstgemachte Nudeln die man einfach nicht an jeder Ecke bekommt. Tipp.. Traut euch was und sagt dem Kellner auf was ihr lust habt und schaut was die Küche zaubert! Nicht in Worte zu fassen!! Nachspeise: Nach langem diskutieren unsererseits ob wir noch Platz im Magen haben für die Nachspeise. . Kam ein kleiner Gruß aus der Küche an unseren Tisch Was soll ich sagen .. der Gedanke daran lässt immer noch das Wasser im Mund zusammen laufen Klar gibt es auch immer Kleinigkeiten die einem nicht so zusagen .. macht eure Erfahrung selbst Ich sage ganz klar es ist mehr als nur einen Besuch wert.

Leckeres Essen und Kellner die wissen was sie tun und das auch noch gerne machen. Die Tische könnten etwas mehr Abstand haben ansonsten ein Super Restaurant das man mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen kann.

Super lustiger Service und das es sowohl von für Nudeln, als auch für Pizza eine glutenfreie Alternative gibt ist super. Und der Nachtisch mit dem unaussprechlichen Namen ist genial.

Wunderbare Erfahrung bei Mare Monti! Alle kannten sich super mit Zöliakie aus, nach der Bestellung der glutenfreien Pizza kam das Brot zur Vorspeise automatisch in glutenfrei. Alles war super lecker und der Service war sehr freundlich! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Die Bedienung war mittelprächtig schnell zum Aufnehmen unserer Bestellung und die ersten Getränke und das Essen kamen dann recht schnell. Die Speisekarte ist wirklich was besonderes und man bekommt neue Kombinationen. Das Essen (Nudeln mit Prosecco-Hummer-Soße und Trüffelnudeln) war einfach hervorragend. Sehr selten so lecker gegessen! ABER: sobald wir unsere Bestellung hatten war es fast unmöglich noch ein zweites Getränk zu bekommen. Der Chef schäkerte den ganzen Abend lautstark mit Stammgästen an den Nebentischen, die Kellner liefen an uns vorbei und reagierten auf Ansprache nicht. Fast am Ende unserer Mahlzeit bekamen wir dann endlich einen Kellner zu fassen der die zweiten Getränke zum Ende unseres Essen dann brachte. Auch zum Bezahlen war es eine ewige warterei die dann nur noch nervig war, vor Allem da es inzwischen halb leer in der Gaststätte war. Da wir beide unsere leckere, aber angemessen teure Mahlzeiten nicht geschafft hatten, wollten wir uns die Reste einpacken lassen. Der Kellner wurde etwas knurrig und teilte uns mit, dass sich das "für das bisschen" ja kaum lohnt und fragte nochmal nach ob wir das wirklich möchten. Als wir dies bejahten fragte er, ob uns ein Behälter reicht. Als ich ihm mitteilte, dass wir es getrennt mitnehmen möchten war es mit der Freundlichkeit vorbei. Trotz großzügigem Trinkgeld gab es kein Grappa oder Espresso aufs Haus. Die Verabschiedung war heruntergeleiert freundlich. Schade! Das Lokal kann ich nur für Essen zum Mitnehmen empfehlen.

Lebendige und sehr freundliche Atmosphäre. Essen authentisch! Habe gluten-free ausprobiert und konnte sogar aus verschiedenen Nudelsorten wählen. Zum Aperitivo mit Oliven, Knoblauchdipp und Käse, bekam ich sogar extra Brot. Als Nachtisch wurde mir gluten-free Tiramisu angeboten. Die Portionen waren jedoch so üppig, dass mir der koffeinfreie Espresso genügte. Ich komme wieder 🔆

War heute mit meiner Tochter dort Sehr kinderfreundlich und trotz vollem Restaurant wurde sich zeit genommen. Essen super lecker. Kann ich weiterempfehlen.

Solides italienisches Restaurant. Immer einen Besuch wert! Gerne wieder!

Wir haben hier schon häufiger glutenfrei im Restaurant gegessen (Pizza und Pasta) oder Pizza zum Abholen bestellt. Geschmacklich war alles immer sehr gut. Da im Restaurant immer sehr viel los ist, empfiehlt es sich einen Tisch zu reservieren. Der Service ist manchmal aufgrund der vielen Gäste etwas überfordert. Leider ist die gegen Aufpreis erhältliche glutenfreie Pizza deutlich kleiner geworden! Kann von der "Größe" eher als Vorspeise gewertet werden, da sogar unsere 13jährige - wie ein Spatz essende - Tochter davon nicht satt wird.
