Been here several times. Great place. Very good food. Super friendly staff. Always happy to come back.

We had a starter plate and a pizza and tartufo scaloppina for the main course. The flavors were good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very loud due to the live music, so it was impossible to have a conversation. It was a real shame. We had to ask for the bill three times before the waiter came 30 minutes later.

Bad bad. Meat that is not fresh, with an unappealing appearance and taste resulting in stomach ache. Friendly service, but very slow. In conclusion: absolutely AVOID

We were very disappointed. Pizza tasted okay but there were very few toppings - pizza with figs and goat cheese? There wasn't even half a fig on it (very thin slices) and you could only hear a hint of the goat cheese. We waved our hands around for about 15 minutes to pay, but no one noticed us or we were forgotten.

The restaurant is beautifully and quirkily decorated. The waiters, however, are very inattentive. When there are multiple customers, the "Schemmerblock" (splurge block) is not applied to the two who request it; instead, the cheapest dish is simply deducted from the bill. The Darmstadt voucher was not accepted, even though it's supposed to be valid there. The dishes do not match the menu description and are not worth the price in terms of quality! (The grilled beef fillet, ordered medium rare, was drenched in a red wine sauce and almost completely cooked!) I certainly won't be visiting this place again!

Little Italy in Darmstadt has a really beautiful atmosphere, peaceful, luxurious, and with a positive vibe. I really liked the ambiance, and it felt like a high-end restaurant in terms of design and setting. However, the service was not at the same level. Not all, but some of the staff were not very friendly. Additionally, the restaurant was quite crowded, and it seemed like there weren’t enough staff to handle the number of guests. As a result, the service was not as smooth as expected. We tried pasta, a pistachio pizza, and a bottle of wine. The wine was okay, and the pizza was delicious. However, the pasta was disappointing—it cost around €28, but the price, quality, and portion size didn’t match. It felt overpriced for what we got. Overall, it’s a nice place, but I’m unsure if I’d go again. While the atmosphere is great, the balance between price, service, quality, and portion size wasn’t quite right. It’s an expensive restaurant, but aside from the ambiance, it didn’t feel like one.

Nice ambience, but you have to like it because it's relatively dark. The food was very good, but still too expensive in my opinion. The service staff were very friendly, but they could have been a bit quicker when it came to refilling the drinks.

Suggestion for improvement: The music is a bit too loud, so you can only have a limited conversation. Otherwise everything was perfect, from the table reservation to the meal.

The food was okay, a bit bland, and the pasta salmon only had four cubes of salmon, but it was perfectly edible. The ambiance is a bit inconsistent. There's no real concept to it. The service was a disaster. The ladies were nice, but they seemed like temps. They ran around without a plan, didn't even look at the guests, and only reordered when requested. Paying took 40 minutes because the head waiter called each table individually to the cash register, but whoever was in line was given priority. We complained, queued up to pay, and were then berated, saying it just took time and he could do his job better if guests didn't get in the way with their nerves. He just does his job as he pleases, and we just have to wait. How dare we criticize that? Absolutely no-go. We won't be coming back.

The atmosphere was really nice, the staff very friendly and helpful however unfortunately we ordered 2 starters (Caprese and Insalata Italy) and 4 different meals Rumpsteak with tomatoe sauce , salmon with risotto , steak with mushroom sauce and Diavola Pizza but really none of the 4 meals was tasty nor was flavored well. So we left the restaurant disappointed and with an empty stomach.

We ordered to pick up, the pasta was the wrong type of pasta which isn't that bad, but the lasagna was far too sour and inedible. The ingredients were probably expired because that's how they taste. Never again.

This was such a good restaurant! I loved the pasta with red sauce (I'm forgetting the name, but it had cured meat in it). It was a bit of a journey from Frankfurt, but totally worth it!

Very nice atmosphere and good food. Rather expensive. When we were there there was live music which I found to be a bit loud.

Absolutely miserable. I had a pizza, which was actually quite tasty - except for the eggshell topping 😱 After I mentioned it to the waiter, he just said that it could happen sometimes. No real apology or anything like that... After that, we sat at the table for over an hour without drinks - no one came to take our order. Even when paying, the eggshell on the pizza was ignored, and I paid the full price. How about a little concession? A small price reduction? A drink on the house? Unfortunately, the service and hospitality were abysmal - a shame, the pizza itself was good and the ambiance is nice.

This is something special - you have to know and like it. The place is a long dark tube - very in a positive sense. It is decorated the way you would imagine a bar in New York in the 1930s to be, and it also plays with the image. starting with light bulbs at the entrance, dark paneling, an expansive bar and a small stage. So not for the family on a Sunday afternoon, but rather good for an exciting evening for two. The tables are covered three times with fabric blankets [!], the service is attentive, calm and discreet. It's clear that the food is a bit more expensive with so much effort, so if you don't appreciate the atmosphere, don't go. The dishes themselves are the Italian "classics", such as osso bucco, saltimbocca, spaghetti, pizza... and of quite good quality, but not outstanding [although "top gastronomy" and star chefs are not the focus of the restaurant]. I like it, it wasn't the last time I was there. Thanks !

I'd rather not anymore. We were there with 12 people. Every time I went there something wasn't right. b In the Vitello, the veal was so dry that even the sauce, which was far too fishy, ​​didn't make up for it. Not good for our taste. The carbonara tasted oily and rancid. Inedible for our taste. The dessert, some kind of pistachio roll, was, in our opinion, frozen goods with powdered sugar on it. They took the panna cotta literally. It was just boiled cream. None of the 10 people tasted the vanilla. Praise for the meat! It was perfectly fried and of top quality! However, we would all avoid the restaurant in the future. This works better in Darmstadt.

We were in Little Italy for the first time yesterday and I have to say that everything (ambience, service, beautiful live music) was absolutely top, except for the most important thing, namely the food... unfortunately the taste couldn't keep up with the high prices. We had a pizza and a portion of pasta and we had to season both of them properly because there was hardly any flavor. The amount of pasta was fine for me, but the pizzas are really very small. We would probably come back for a drink at the bar, but unfortunately it's not worth it at all for the food.

Dried pasta arrived after standing under the heat lamps in the kitchen for a long time. The “New Zealand salmon” was a frozen product that was pressed and cut into identical gray cubes. The service didn't seem friendly or motivated.

We were at the restaurant in question on Valentine's Day. Table reservation worked great. However, after 15 minutes of our arrival, we had to point out to the waiters that we needed the card to order. After another 20 minutes we were finally able to place our order. We then had to once again point out to the waiters that we hadn't gotten our drinks yet. In total we had been in the restaurant for over an hour. Our food came after another 20 minutes. In the meantime, guests who had ordered much later had already had their drinks and food. When we wanted to pay, there was no response to the waiting time or the cold food. We should pay full price. Unfortunately, we will probably not visit this restaurant again after this experience.

I need to improve my review again. This was my third time eating here. At first I thought it was a coincidence that my food wasn't seasoned, but since it's happened for the third time, I'm a bit disappointed. Our entire table had to season the food independently, unfortunately the food tasted very unseasoned and my truffle noodles tasted like mushroom noodles and unfortunately didn't have that typical truffle taste at all. Unfortunately, our salads were very vinegar-heavy, and we also waited an hour and a half for the main course and then two pasta dishes arrived at the table still cold. I understand that this can happen when the store is full but it shouldn't happen if you post these prices. I'm a little disappointed. There are certainly very good dishes here, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't suit me.

The greeting from the kitchen also came quickly. After that, however, the service stagnates and you wait a long time for the drinks you order. Saltimbocca is very good in terms of quality and the pizza is also said to be delicious. However, in my opinion the price is not adequate and is very high. Since we had already looked on the Internet beforehand, we knew what we were taking. We were very surprised when we paid and then realized that the prices on the internet differed from the ticket prices. This bothered all eight of us guests. All in all I can say that it was quite nice, but I prefer to go to restaurants with more reasonable prices. It may be that if a live band plays, the price/performance is right. Not like that.

When ordering drinks, the main course and dessert, part of the order was forgotten or only delivered when asked after about 30 minutes of waiting. We definitely wouldn't recommend it for the OVERPRICED price.

A very nice restaurant, furnished in an upscale club atmosphere. The food is good, but leaves no memory, which doesn't fit the price! (To describe the service, the following note: the restaurant was max. 20% occupied by guests.) Unfortunately, the service does not match the appearance of the restaurant. The reception is friendly and at the beginning you are very quick. However, after ordering the drinks, an inexplicable queue begins, even though there were enough service staff in the restaurant. The food order, on the other hand, was fine and was processed quickly and well. ("worked off" because the staff seemed quite unmotivated!) Afterwards, i.e. after the main course, we were not asked whether we would like a dessert or whether we would be given the menu again. So we skipped this. Ordering further drinks was also very difficult. Nobody was checking on us! So you had to make yourself noticed intensively (actually a “no go”). After ordering ....... very long waiting time (also understandable, because the service person who served us was smoking outside the door!). Summary, a lovely evening from our friends. However, it will probably be our first and last visit to this restaurant as it did not impress us in any positive way.

Unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to the promise of the beautiful ambience. The food is "awesome" for the price. Here is the rump steak for 38 euros! Disgusting presentation of the supplements, see picture. Looks like a farmer's roast with rum steak on the side. And the elegant pepper coating turned out to be a cheap ready-made pepper sauce. At least that's how it tasted. CONCLUSION: SAVE YOUR MONEY OR go to reliable stores like the custom around DA. You're being ripped off here. My date hates me now.

Almost 3 hours before our visit, we were informed that they were fully booked and that we would only be able to get a table with a long wait, but they couldn't guarantee us either. I will never enter this store again because unfortunately you cannot rely on a reservation and you would always need an alternative option.

The service staff want/should appear professional, but that evening they were anything but. Drink orders took a long time or didn't come at all (bottle of water). There is a lavish wine list, but with the wrong prices (according to the service), so that at the end you may wonder why the bottle of wine is now €4 more expensive than stated. Overall, the service staff at our table also made a very unsafe impression. Too bad!

Our visit to the Little Italy restaurant in Darmstadt was a disappointment. Despite the high prices, the service and food were poor. The interior design was the only positive. Despite reserving a table with a request for decoration, we were only able to choose any table we wanted. My wine glass was smudged with lipstick, the starter (five tasteless prawns for 18 euros) was disappointing, and the manager was rude. The main course arrived cold, the salad was forgotten, and the side noodles tasted like nothing. The service did not respond to complaints. We absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant.

Caution !! I ordered food from Little Italy today and I can only advise against it. After a conversation with the manager and my complaint, the food goes straight into the trash can. For the order for €32.27 I got a pizza bread where a piece was missing, maybe the driver got hungry on the way and the Vitello Tonnato was 6 thinly sliced ​​slices of meat for €18.50 with almost no sauce . When I spoke to him, the manager was not at all insightful and said that this was normal for the Little Italy restaurant and that he couldn't do anything about the eaten pizza bread because he had no influence on the Lieferando delivery service.

Food quality was not upto the standard and it felt like the food was not freshly prepared. But they do have good wine options!

Ordered 2 spaghetti bolognese via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked, making it far too soft and the Bolognese had hardly any taste. In addition, cheese was simply added to the portion without us having a choice. This cheese was so strong that not everyone would like it. People who are lactose intolerant like me have problems here. We were disappointed.

We saw the pictures online and were immediately convinced that we should try this restaurant. The pictures didn't promise that much and the restaurant is just as beautiful in person. We were lucky that evening and also had live music with Frank Sinatra and Friends. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We also had “head doctor treatment” that evening ;o). The food was very good and individual starters were also arranged upon special request. The wine list is bigger than I thought and a wine tasting with delicacies is being planned for the end of October. We'd love to be there again.

Die Bilder haben nicht so viel versprochen und in live ist das Restaurant genauso schön. Wir hatten Glück an dem Abend und hatten auch noch Livemusik mit Frank Sinatra und Friends. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Außerdem hatten wir an dem Abend “Chefarztbehandlung“ ;o). Das Essen war sehr gut und auf speziellen Wunsch, wurden auch individuelle Vorspeisen arrangiert. Die Weinkarte ist größer als ich dachte und für Ende Oktober ist noch eine Weinprobe mit Leckereien in Planung. Da sind wir gerne wieder dabei.

However, it is still possible to reserve a table for 2.30 p.m. even though Lolal closes at 2 p.m. Speaking of table reservations: it doesn't matter whether you tick the I want advertising box or not - you'll get some.

I'll be honest. Tasteless dishes, exorbitant in price and it was Thursday evening around 8pm, it took 30 minutes for my plate to be delivered even though the restaurant was literally empty, extremely boring atmosphere and worst of all I spent €35 and went home hungry gone NOT WORTH IT!!!

To eat…first of all, super delicious bread with garlic dip and bruscetta as a “gift from the kitchen”. Then burrata, to be honest, very strange taste, the vegetables hardly had any taste of their own, more like the dressing. The mozzarella had already matured a little too long... Main course pizza and lasagne. The pizza itself was delicious, but the salami had a very strange taste and smell, and to be honest we lost our appetite. The lasagna was 90 percent cheese. This was placed over each layer of pasta and could no longer be removed from them, plus of course gratinated with cheese. That was just too much. There was almost no sauce in the lasagna itself, just a little bit. In terms of taste, it's just cheese... Dessert was good again, the lemon sorbet was too runny but tasted good and refreshing. The Tartufo ice cream was very good. Unfortunately the prices are too high for the performance ratio. So unfortunately I wouldn't go there again.

We were here to celebrate a birthday and I can only say positive things. The food was of good quality and met my expectations. The selection of dishes was varied and very tasty. The service was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. I can only recommend and will definitely come back soon!

Top restaurant, I think it is unrivaled in Darmstadt. Great ambience, clean and nicely decorated with calm music. We were immediately impressed by the delicious food when we greeted the kitchen. Starter, main course and dessert all in one very tasty and clearly recommended.

We got a seat outside and the atmosphere there was very pleasant. It feels like a vacation on a summer evening. We really enjoyed the pizza and pasta, and the drinks were good too. We also thought it was great that a small snack was served beforehand. Unfortunately, a very large group of people came so we didn't see any service for at least 45 minutes after our meal. Since there are only a few tables outside, I think we were simply "forgotten" for a long time. At some point we went in to order dessert and pay in advance to shorten our waiting times. Unfortunately the wrong dessert arrived but we let it go and didn't complain about it. Unfortunately, we didn't really like the cannoli either; they were a bit soggy and tasteless. It's a shame, because the rest of the food was delicious! We were also apologized for the waiting time and we understand that, but towards the end the waiting time was very, very long. A visit to this restaurant is highly recommended! As soon as you enter you feel welcome and are immediately accompanied to your table in a friendly manner. As a small greeting from the house there is delicious bruschetta and fresh bread with olives - a wonderful introduction to what follows. The service is always attentive and courteous, the food is excellent and of excellent quality. The ambience contributes perfectly to enjoyment with its inviting atmosphere. An all-round successful evening - I hope that the quality here always remains at this high level!

The ambience is absolutely the most positive thing about this restaurant. Anyone who has ever been to an Italian restaurant in the USA, preferably in New York, will be strongly reminded of this. Unfortunately, the rest can't even begin to keep up with the ambience. The prices are quite high. One might well expect that the fish is not frozen. Unfortunately, it had a very rubbery structure and was also overcooked. The side dishes were also overcooked and not very refined. The side salad was OK. The panna cotta for the desert was too firm and lacked the advertised fruits, which only came in a very thin layer of fruit. Unfortunately the service was also very inattentive. You weren't asked if you wanted something else to drink, and you also had to organize the dessert menu yourself. Overall, it's a shame because the location and the friendly reception promised more.

If you want to go on a culinary journey to Italy in the middle of Darmstadt, LITTLE ITALY is the best place for it. - A very nice and tasteful facility. - Extremely attentive and friendly service. - The food is authentic and simply delicious. Very nice pizzeria. The selection of dishes is clear, but everything is freshly prepared. The prices are ok. The entrance is at ground level. Parking is possible in the parking garage on Adelungstr. but only open until 9 p.m. or parking garage on Grafenstr.

We are absolutely thrilled with this beautiful Italian restaurant in Darmstadt! The food, we were here twice, was excellent. The service staff was very attentive and really friendly. And the ambience is also pretty kitschy Italian. We would like to come again!

Already read and read reviews and unfortunately I have to confirm it. The lasagne is served lukewarm to cold. Unfortunately, the host doesn't seem to really care about the reviews... The pizza is actually quite good, but a little too greasy. The tuna pizza is actually way too greasy. Otherwise I think the edge is good too. There's no way you can test it! At first glance, I found the atmosphere quite nice. I also like that Italian music is played here. But too dark and way too big What you have to give Little Italy credit is that there is a free appetizer before the meal and even free bruscetta! Where else can you find something like that today?

It was another absolutely great evening with three courses. Taste and ambience TOP You can be proud of your entire staff my special thanks go to the bartender by far the best “Whisky Sour” in the Rhine-Main area. Keep it up as I want to come back as always.

We won't come anymore. We were there with a group of 34 people. Ambience is very nice. Service is unfriendly and not attentive. We would have liked to order more drinks, but we sometimes had to look for staff. The food is not special. The pasta was covered in pepper, and the children's pasta was exactly the same. Furthermore, the bill didn't add up, suddenly there were drinks on the bill that weren't ordered.
