Nice location with really good food. Fresh vegetables with burrata, a poem. A culinary but also musically great evening with a Michael Jackson imitation live show. We were in the mood 😉

Nice restaurant, the atmosphere is great - the service, on the other hand, is really subpar - we weren't offered the daily specials outside the menu like at other tables - plus extremely unfriendly female waitresses, the drinks weren't brought to us for ages! The spaghetti carbonara was average - nothing more, nothing less! Too expensive for the performance, a shame!

A very nice restaurant, furnished in an upscale club atmosphere. The food is good, but leaves no memory, which doesn't fit the price! (To describe the service, the following note: the restaurant was max. 20% occupied by guests.) Unfortunately, the service does not match the appearance of the restaurant. The reception is friendly and at the beginning you are very quick. However, after ordering the drinks, an inexplicable queue begins, even though there were enough service staff in the restaurant. The food order, on the other hand, was fine and was processed quickly and well. ("worked off" because the staff seemed quite unmotivated!) Afterwards, i.e. after the main course, we were not asked whether we would like a dessert or whether we would be given the menu again. So we skipped this. Ordering further drinks was also very difficult. Nobody was checking on us! So you had to make yourself noticed intensively (actually a “no go”). After ordering ....... very long waiting time (also understandable, because the service person who served us was smoking outside the door!). Summary, a lovely evening from our friends. However, it will probably be our first and last visit to this restaurant as it did not impress us in any positive way.

Unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to the promise of the beautiful ambience. The food is "awesome" for the price. Here is the rump steak for 38 euros! Disgusting presentation of the supplements, see picture. Looks like a farmer's roast with rum steak on the side. And the elegant pepper coating turned out to be a cheap ready-made pepper sauce. At least that's how it tasted. CONCLUSION: SAVE YOUR MONEY OR go to reliable stores like the custom around DA. You're being ripped off here. My date hates me now.

Very nice restaurant, the service is friendly and pleasant, the atmosphere is feel good, romantic. I was very positively surprised by the food, the beef fillet was made perfectly medium rare upon request, good meat. Prices are in the upper third for Darmstadt standards, but if the quality is right that's ok, but it shouldn't be more expensive. Keep it up!

Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. The drinks were also very tasty. Unfortunately the service was poor and we briefly considered ordering dessert over the phone... Despite empty glasses, you are not asked if you would like anything else. Only when all desserts were served was it announced that a meal we had ordered was no longer available. Very unprofessional. Delicious food and a great ambience are no use either. I know it's difficult to find good staff, but that doesn't match the atmosphere and especially the prices. We won't come anymore.

We made a reservation online which was also confirmed by email. Almost 3 hours before our visit, we were informed that they were fully booked and that we would only be able to get a table with a long wait, but they couldn't guarantee us either. I will never enter this store again because unfortunately you cannot rely on a reservation and you would always need an alternative option.

Four of us went to the restaurant on a Friday evening and returned with mixed feelings. First of all, the food tasted great and the greeting from the kitchen was appealing and attentive (bruschetta)! The atmosphere is also great and you can feel very comfortable there, especially as a couple. However, the service was unfortunately poor. The service staff want/should appear professional, but that evening they were anything but. Drink orders took a long time or didn't come at all (bottle of water). There is a lavish wine list, but with the wrong prices (according to the service), so that at the end you may wonder why the bottle of wine is now €4 more expensive than stated. Overall, the service staff at our table also made a very unsafe impression. Too bad!

Wonderful evening spent with five people. I'll definitely be happy to come back.

Our visit to the Little Italy restaurant in Darmstadt was a disappointment. Despite the high prices, the service and food were poor. The interior design was the only positive. Despite reserving a table with a request for decoration, we were only able to choose any table we wanted. My wine glass was smudged with lipstick, the starter (five tasteless prawns for 18 euros) was disappointing, and the manager was rude. The main course arrived cold, the salad was forgotten, and the side noodles tasted like nothing. The service did not respond to complaints. We absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant.

A restaurant for anyone who values ​​an exceptional ambience. There is a stage where a very good soul singer surprised everyone with live music and classics from the disco era. The entire restaurant is very cozy, chic and stylishly furnished. The food is okay, quite good, but not outstanding. There are also unusual pasta and pizza creations here that you can't get everywhere. The service was courteous, attentive and absolutely fine.

Caution !! I ordered food from Little Italy today and I can only advise against it. After a conversation with the manager and my complaint, the food goes straight into the trash can. For the order for €32.27 I got a pizza bread where a piece was missing, maybe the driver got hungry on the way and the Vitello Tonnato was 6 thinly sliced ​​slices of meat for €18.50 with almost no sauce . When I spoke to him, the manager was not at all insightful and said that this was normal for the Little Italy restaurant and that he couldn't do anything about the eaten pizza bread because he had no influence on the Lieferando delivery service.

Food quality was not upto the standard and it felt like the food was not freshly prepared. But they do have good wine options!

Ordered 2 spaghetti bolognese via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked, making it far too soft and the Bolognese had hardly any taste. In addition, cheese was simply added to the portion without us having a choice. This cheese was so strong that not everyone would like it. People who are lactose intolerant like me have problems here. We were disappointed.

Die Bilder haben nicht so viel versprochen und in live ist das Restaurant genauso schön. Wir hatten Glück an dem Abend und hatten auch noch Livemusik mit Frank Sinatra und Friends. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Außerdem hatten wir an dem Abend “Chefarztbehandlung“ ;o). Das Essen war sehr gut und auf speziellen Wunsch, wurden auch individuelle Vorspeisen arrangiert. Die Weinkarte ist größer als ich dachte und für Ende Oktober ist noch eine Weinprobe mit Leckereien in Planung. Da sind wir gerne wieder dabei.

We were lucky that evening and also had live music with Frank Sinatra and Friends. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We also had “head doctor treatment” that evening ;o). The food was very good and individual starters were also arranged upon special request. The wine list is bigger than I thought and a wine tasting with delicacies is being planned for the end of October. We'd love to be there again.

We had a family dinner at little Italie. We specifically chose a restaurant with continuous opening hours (according to the website) and booked a table for 1:30 p.m. Unfortunately, shortly after two o'clock we were asked to leave the restaurant because it was lunch break. There wasn't even an espresso. I later complained via email. The only reaction: the opening times on the website have been changed. However, it is still possible to reserve a table for 2.30 p.m. even though Lolal closes at 2 p.m. Speaking of table reservations: it doesn't matter whether you tick the I want advertising box or not - you'll get some.

I'll be honest. Tasteless dishes, exorbitant in price and it was Thursday evening around 8pm, it took 30 minutes for my plate to be delivered even though the restaurant was literally empty, extremely boring atmosphere and worst of all I spent €35 and went home hungry gone NOT WORTH IT!!!

To eat…first of all, super delicious bread with garlic dip and bruscetta as a “gift from the kitchen”. Then burrata, to be honest, very strange taste, the vegetables hardly had any taste of their own, more like the dressing. The mozzarella had already matured a little too long... Main course pizza and lasagne. The pizza itself was delicious, but the salami had a very strange taste and smell, and to be honest we lost our appetite. The lasagna was 90 percent cheese. This was placed over each layer of pasta and could no longer be removed from them, plus of course gratinated with cheese. That was just too much. There was almost no sauce in the lasagna itself, just a little bit. In terms of taste, it's just cheese... Dessert was good again, the lemon sorbet was too runny but tasted good and refreshing. The Tartufo ice cream was very good. Unfortunately the prices are too high for the performance ratio. So unfortunately I wouldn't go there again.

We were here to celebrate a birthday and I can only say positive things. The food was of good quality and met my expectations. The selection of dishes was varied and very tasty. The service was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. I can only recommend and will definitely come back soon!

We got a seat outside and the atmosphere there was very pleasant. It feels like a vacation on a summer evening. We really enjoyed the pizza and pasta, and the drinks were good too. We also thought it was great that a small snack was served beforehand. Unfortunately, a very large group of people came so we didn't see any service for at least 45 minutes after our meal. Since there are only a few tables outside, I think we were simply "forgotten" for a long time. At some point we went in to order dessert and pay in advance to shorten our waiting times. Unfortunately the wrong dessert arrived but we let it go and didn't complain about it. Unfortunately, we didn't really like the cannoli either; they were a bit soggy and tasteless. It's a shame, because the rest of the food was delicious! We were also apologized for the waiting time and we understand that, but towards the end the waiting time was very, very long. But I would still come again and can recommend the food.

Unfortunately, it had a very rubbery structure and was also overcooked. The side dishes were also overcooked and not very refined. The side salad was OK. The panna cotta for the desert was too firm and lacked the advertised fruits, which only came in a very thin layer of fruit. Unfortunately the service was also very inattentive. You weren't asked if you wanted something else to drink, and you also had to organize the dessert menu yourself. Overall, it's a shame because the location and the friendly reception promised more.

We won't come anymore. We were there with a group of 34 people. Ambience is very nice. Service is unfriendly and not attentive. We would have liked to order more drinks, but we sometimes had to look for staff. The food is not special. The pasta was covered in pepper, and the children's pasta was exactly the same. Furthermore, the bill didn't add up, suddenly there were drinks on the bill that weren't ordered.

You can really eat very authentic Italian food here. The restaurant itself is a bit fancier and offers live music, especially on weekends. In summer the front windows are open to the street, which I think has a very special atmosphere for Darmstadt. You can have a wonderful romantic dinner here for two or have a hearty meal in a group. Later in the evening the music gets a little louder, making it a little more difficult to have a conversation. However, some guests actually dance to live music. In my opinion, parking is very difficult in this corner. If that doesn't put you off, you'll have a wonderful Italian evening here. Last time our food was a little under-spiced, which is why I deducted a tiny point. But that's really complaining at a very high level for one of the best Italian restaurants in Darmstadt itself.

Ambience great. Unfortunately, it's of no use to me personally if the food doesn't taste good. Then prefer a simple atmosphere but good food. We knew Da Mario from Seeheim, where we used to eat around once a week. That's why expectations were high. Unfortunately, they were not even close to being fulfilled. Seafood salad is no comparison to before. “With the finest fruits of the sea” – I felt really ripped off. It was a pure squid salad. Not a single shrimp, not a single mussel, just squid or octopus. In addition, it's completely bland or not at all tasty, but the coarse pepper is very good. I don't want to assume any bad intentions here, but it also smelled extremely fishy - which is exactly how it shouldn't be. At first I thought I had imagined it, but unfortunately the taste was the same. My companion also had the same opinion, which is why he went back. In addition, the portion as a starter seemed extraordinarily large, so you would probably have been full afterwards (evil tongues would probably conclude from the smell here: “It has to go!”). Then we continued with ham/mushroom pizza and tortellini ham and cream sauce. Unfortunately it was nothing. The pizza could have been in the oven for a few minutes longer because the dough was still quite raw on the edge and looked shattered, but that wouldn't have helped the taste either, because here too it was unfortunately very bland, the toppings and also that Dough itself had no flavor. Plus, the pizza didn't look very appetizing with the shriveled mushrooms sprinkled on top. The noodles were overcooked, you could mash them against the roof of your mouth with your tongue without having to chew, and they probably flew past the (ham - where was it????) cream sauce - it was already a dry affair. We didn't feel like dessert anymore and decided on a cappuccino. That was good. Service was average, came across as very reserved. Price/performance not justified for us, probably won't come back.

Today (Thursday evening, 9:00 p.m.) we went to Little Italy with two people. When we entered the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised by the design and ambience. There were relatively few tables occupied by guests. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. After that, service performance decreased significantly. Although there weren't many guests in the store, the service wasn't particularly attentive. The conversations we heard from the service staff disappointed us - the service staff were not very motivated and simply wanted to get off work quickly. Unfortunately, we didn't get a friendly smile, which is what you would hope for from service staff - especially in an Italian restaurant. In total we paid around 110 euros (55 euros per person) for drinks, 2 starters and 2 main courses. We expected more in this price category. The drinks (including a Negroni) were ok, but not above average. >Tip: Since you drink Negroni rather slowly, it is a good idea to put 1 large ice cube in the glass instead of crushed ice / many small cubes, this melts slowly and prevents the drink from becoming watered down so quickly. In my opinion, this Italian cocktail classic should be prepared “on point” in an Italian restaurant. The starters (2 x carpaccio) were delicious and attractively presented. However, I missed a lemon wedge. What wasn't entirely understandable was why we received the "greetings from the kitchen" (bread, 1 dip, black olives and 2 x bruschetta - relatively much for a greeting from the kitchen, but ok) with our starters and not in advance - Timing? The main courses, 1 x “simple” dish = tortellini alla panna and 1 x “premium” dish = homemade, black sepia tortiglioni filled with truffles, were a disappointment - the dishes were unfortunately bland and lacked flavor and seasoning. It's a shame - the location is really appealing, but unfortunately we didn't feel like we were in Little Italy 🤷🏻‍♀️🙁 Because of the ambience, we would like to come back again and try other dishes, such as pizza - everyone deserves a second chance 🙏🏼

Atmosphere very successful. Like in Disneyland - and that's a great way to switch off. However, you shouldn't set your expectations too high due to the ambience. The food is average but solid, and the waitresses are friendly but could definitely work on their "hosting skills". In another restaurant that doesn't focus on "high quality", none of this would be noticeable. Here the packaging doesn't quite match the contents. Nevertheless: we'll be back.

Visited this restaurant 4 times. The service must be more responsive to the wishes of the guests. The main course was brought to the table twice even though the starter wasn't even cleared away... on the other two visits, the service staff was advised to take a break between the starter and the main course. After less than 5 minutes the main course came to the table… Food is between 3-4 out of 5

The atmosphere is very nice and despite the many places it was very quiet. The meal was okay. The pasta from the recommendation menu with fig and sage butter was very tasty, but at €17.50 for a fairly small portion it was also expensive. The carbonara was unfortunately totally disappointing - pasta with scrambled eggs. The waitresses were nice, but we were served by a total of 3 people. Of course, whoever has ordered something tends to get confused. Drinks were sometimes forgotten and an aperitif was made incorrectly, even though it wasn't on the menu.

We had an excellent meal there last night (from the daily recommendation). The service was friendly and the price was reasonable for the quality and taste. Two small points of criticism: the espresso was a bit bitter and the tiramisu perhaps had a slightly too sweet aftertaste. But the latter is purely a matter of taste. We would have been happy about a grappa. Still full marks. We would come back if we were in Darmstadt again.

My husband's starter Vitello Tonnato: Convinient (ready meal) My starter Carpaccio di Salmone con Avocado e figues; Unfortunately there were dried apricots on the salmon instead of figs; it was just sweet and not tasty 😥 Main course: Tagliata di Filetto with Risotto al tartufo; the meat was very good, but the risotto was completely overcooked. It is incomprehensible how you can overcook a risotto like that. Main course 2: Veal chop was good but saltless and the vegetable side dish mostly consisted of fried potatoes. Overall, with wine and water, we had an expensive but bad meal this evening for €150. Too bad 😔 Our complaints were not addressed.

Ambiance: American city feeling in the middle of Darmstadt. The ambience of the restaurant is definitely something special - sometimes it's a matter of taste. Personally, the interior reminded me of the ambience of American big city restaurants such as Chicago. Overall, it's a pretty big store with a platform, stage and live music - which unfortunately means that it's also pretty loud. However, it is not authentically Italian. But maybe it doesn't have to at all. Service: At first very friendly but unfortunately impersonal. After we had received our first drinks and the main course, we were unfortunately no longer asked if we wanted something more to drink or something similar. Dessert was available upon request. Personally, I would have liked a little more attention for the guest, because there were enough waiters there, even if it was very busy. Food: Unfortunately the biggest drawback... Both the carbonara I ordered and the pasta of one of my companions were unfortunately "peppery hot". Unfortunately, the quality of the food couldn't keep up with the ambience. Nevertheless, I would pay Little Italy another visit. Maybe we were just a bit unlucky...

Unique atmosphere in the Mafiosi style of the 1920s. Insanely great atmosphere that takes you by the hand and literally takes you into the atmosphere of the 1920s in the USA, during the times of prohibition. Subdued lighting, classy interior, great decoration, some with film props from the “typical mafia era”. The stay is rounded off by friendly, courteous staff who are happy to fulfill any extra request the guest may have. The food: I am not a connoisseur or gourmet. However, every dish impressed me with its taste. The beef fillet in particular was probably the best thing my palate has ever seen - a dream! By the way, there is often live music on Saturdays. All in all: MEGA store! Go there and be inspired! PS: large selection of great and partly exclusive wines.

Unfortunately the older waiter will run you down! You should consider keeping him as a waiter. Because he would be the reason why we wouldn't come back. Totally unsympathetic and not child-friendly. We were there with our 3 children and we were literally ignored! Our plates simply weren't cleared, so everything piled up. Our aperitif glass was still on the table until the end. We had to ask for the wine list several times. The food was good. Unfortunately the starter was very fishy. The fresh pasta was very, very tasty. We have never had such good truffle pasta. It's a shame there was no live music on Saturday evening. That was the main reason why we chose this restaurant.

Positive things first: pizza was really tasty and so was the wine. But thanks to the absurdly bad-tempered older employee, we will never, ever come back. How can you be so unfriendly and in a bad mood when you're out and about? No hello, just complained, then left sitting there the whole evening. We got up twice ourselves to order things or take care of other things. I just can't understand. 8 guests just couldn't believe it. There are 11 more statically attached to each guest: I can't understand how the operator can allow such arrogance in the staff. Why would you want your guests to feel bad right from the start? The younger ones, ladies and gentlemen, were super nice and they also know what's going on. I just can't understand it at all! And not that anyone comes here because we would just comment on it on Google. Before paying, we very politely told the younger staff on site about our bad experience and still gave a good tip, which hopefully only went to the motivated younger ones in the end!

The two of us were here on a Sunday evening. We received a friendly welcome from the service. The restaurant is very large, very open plan, with a raised platform. We ordered wine and water, and the main course was original carbonara and stuffed pasta. We enjoyed the food. There was also a greeting from the kitchen, simple bruschetta, free. The price for the carbonara (13.50) was okay. For the filled pasta (18.50) too much for the small portion! The ambience and service were not at all to our liking. Since there wasn't much going on and we were sitting in the middle of the podium, we felt extremely watched. The older waiter (owner?) in particular was constantly watching the guests in the immediate vicinity. My companion's empty plate was immediately cleared away; I still had half of my dish in front of me. We felt uncomfortable the whole time and that's why we left early to escape the situation. If we had sat a little apart and the service regarding drinks had been a little more attentive, it would have been nice!

Also man hat sich ja einiges in Darmstadt über das Restaurant hier erzählt und wir waren am Valentinstag dort, wir haben mitbekommen das es dort seit 14 tagen ausgebucht sein sollte und das hat sich bewahrheitet. Das Little Italy war den gesamten Abend über voll, wir hatten allerdings auch 2 Wochen im Voraus reserviert gehabt. Am Abend gab es nur eine Karte zum Essen und es war genau die richtige Auswahl. wir hatten Rote Bete Carpaccio, ein Filet mit Rotweinjus und Fisch. Das Essen war ein Genuss pur. Es lief Live Musik gespielt von einer Pianistin an einem riesigen schwarzen Flügel .. also alles in einem ein wahrhaftiger aufregender Besuch. Ich muss sagen: Hut ab! So ein Restaurant sieht man nicht alle Tage, es ist einmalig.

The service was good at the beginning, but that was about it. You want to be more like you are and can be. The ambience is too dark. The small lamp on the table was not enough to read the menu properly. The prices are too high for the portions. Involtini alla sciciliana were very firm and a little dry, as they were unfortunately only as thick as a cigar. The side dishes of potatoes with vegetables were just potatoes with lots of peppers and a slice of zucchini. The lasagna was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Dessert that was ordered didn't come at all, another one was simply put there. When asked, the answer was that it was a matter of whether we wanted to eat that or another alternative. Don't you ask that beforehand? The live music that was played that evening was too loud so that you could only talk to your immediate neighbors. It was impossible two chairs away.

Super tasty dishes, everything to the point. The service is super nice. It would just be nice if you were offered the daily recommendation and didn't have to ask, I think you would actually sell it because it was very, very tasty.

Unfortunately, I didn't have such a nice visit to Da Mario's. It's a real shame because this restaurant could certainly offer more. The receptionist and the waiter were not really motivated, but friendly. The prices are far too high for the portions despite the city center location. Just under 30 euros for a small steak, you can get much better at other Italian restaurants nearby. We also didn't like the taste there. Some of them weren't salted enough, the steak wasn't cooked to the desired condition, ... . It's a real shame because I'm sure it could be much better there and I'll give this restaurant another chance at some point, but unfortunately it doesn't have more than 2 stars at the moment. A real shame.

Sehr beeindruckendes Ambiente, leckeres Essen.

Viel ChiChi um nix. Der Gruß aus der Küche: leicht getoastetes Brot mit kleingehackten ungewürzten Tomaten. Kein Origano, kein Salz, kein Pfeffer, kein Öl. Da bleibe ich lieber von der Küche ungegrüßt. Essen war ok, durchschnittlich, alles etwas mehr als lauwarm. Ein Riesentanz wird mit der Garderobe gemacht: Jacke verpflichtend der Servicemitarbeiterin geben, sie bringt sie in eine geheime Ecke hinter dickem Vorhang. Als ich meine Jacke für eine Rauchpause brauchte musste ich, so wurde ich vorher instruiert, diese Servicemitarbeiterin rufen, ihr zum Vorhang am anderen Ende des Lokals folgen und ihr dann das äußere Erscheinungsbild der Jacke erklären. Sehr sehr umständlich. Das "Highlight": der ältere Servicemitarbeiter. An Arroganz mit das Extremste, was ich in einer Pizzeria/ Ristorante bisher erleben durfte. Er vermittelte das Gefühl, besondere Gnade erfahren zu dürfen, wenn er zum Tisch kam. Sehr unangenehmer Röntgenblick. Fazit: Entweder mache ich eine richtig gute, gehobene italienische Küche, die den Spaß und die Freude an gutem, ausgefeilten Essen vermittelt. Oder ich führe eine bodenständige Pizzeria mit einigen Ristorante-Gerichten. Beides aber bitte mit Menschen, die genau diese Freude an ihrer Arbeit zeigen. Dort werde ich nicht mehr hingehen.

Leider keine Seife auf der Damentoilette, sowie kein Desinfektionsmittel. Preisleistungsverhältnis nicht passend.
