During a visit six months ago, the boss of this restaurant noticed me displaying uncivilized behavior: he absolutely didn't want me to ask one or two questions to the counter worker and even make small talk with this person. He also accused me of approaching the two people at the next table in the next moment and disturbing their conversation. That wasn't my intention at all. Is the boss crazy, is he angry with some guests (see also his comments on various reviews)? The boss of this restaurant definitely comes from a less educated background!

We were visiting our son in Giessen and tried out the restaurant. It was very rustic and cozy. The meal was excellent. Fish was served at the table and was very tasty

A real insider tip! Mussels in tomato sauce were extremely tasty, pasta with ragù alla Bolognese was fantastic, my wife really loves the pizza with rocket and prawns, plus very tasty rosé and world-class tiramisu. Became much more comfortable after the renovation. Prices are absolutely reasonable considering the great quality! Definitely try it out!

Very good Italian cuisine, especially the pasta (!). The open wine 🍷 was also very tasty. If you still make it, you can still have dessert. This works if you use the starter plate to share.

Nice concept with good food. The service was very friendly and the restaurant is modernly furnished. I think it's a shame that many corners in the restaurant should be reworked so that a good impression remains. I liked the food and the selection and value for money are really good. To all critics: maybe order less to-go and eat more in the restaurant. Because you get good food for really fair money. By the way, the open wine has good taste and is fairly priced. Recommended locally.

Absolutely the best thing in a long time!!!!!!!!

We hebben hier echt een topavond gehad. Vriendelijke bediening: ze weten hier hoe je gasten een fijne avond bezorgt. Hoofdgerechten:ruime porties en zeer smakelijk. Daarna konden we niet kiezen uit de lijst van heerlijke desserts. Geen enkel punt: ze maakten voor ons een bord met een selectie van de desserts. Het glaasje Limoncello-creme van het huis, was een zeer aangename afsluiting van een fijne avond uit eten. Aanrader!

We actually ended up there by chance because we didn't want to eat at the hotel. But we were very positively surprised. The salad was crisp and fresh and we haven't eaten such delicious pizza in a long time. Super thin, crispy dough and well-balanced, fresh ingredients as a topping. Attentive service. At the next table, guests ate fresh mussels, which were so delicious that they ordered a second portion. The ambience doesn't blow you away, but it's solid. Price-performance is right.
