We were guests in the gourmet restaurant. At first glance it's beautifully newly renovated. However, the rooms seem a bit overloaded, you get the impression that they have tried to accommodate all the current trends. About the food: From my experience, a rather average star restaurant. Some very wild flavor combinations, whole tomatoes as decoration on the plate??? Dessert: A mini sorbet with an ambiguous taste drowned in 3/4 cream... Guests in hiking boots and shorts in the star restaurant??? My wine accompaniment to the main course came after my plate was empty...

If you have any need for enjoyment and well-being and live in the vicinity of Baiersbronn, a visit to the Hotel Bareis is a must at some point. The house with its lush grounds and the many opportunities to spend a good time there, to the service and all the employees who are always friendly and helpful, to the high-quality food and drinks, the Bareis is simply one of the best addresses in Germany. You don't necessarily have to be a guest at the 3-star restaurant to eat well. Our visit to the Dorfstube was sensational from start to finish. All dishes were technically perfect and tasted extremely finely presented, so there can be no complaints whatsoever. My onion roast was incomparable, making such a classic dish so extraordinary is an art. But that's exactly what the kitchen at Bareis does. We are very happy to be able to spend a wonderful evening in the star part of the house at some point. Until then, it's time to save money and dream about roast onion roast.

Beautifully decorated, the food is really delicious, and the prices are good. We'll be back.

We stop at this restaurant for a drink and food after a hike. From the outside, a very dated atmosphere but it's not necessarily off-putting. We enter and ask if dogs are accepted, we are told yes and place us at a table. I leave to go to the toilet, when I come back I see the boss not very politely asking my wife to change tables. My wife explains to me that the owner's husband gave her a long speech in German but that she didn't understand. They made no effort to explain what was wrong. According to another opinion, it's probably because they (the owner?) don't like dogs. I have never seen such service, we had a drink and left.

Ich wohne seit fast drei Jahren in der Nähe und habe dieses Geschäft gestern endlich besucht und werde nicht wiederkommen. Positiv war, dass die Mitarbeiter freundlich waren. Negativ: Es war schmutzig, auf der Tischdecke lagen angetrocknete Essensreste vom Vortag. Ich bestellte einen Wurstsalat, der sehr einfach war und den ich nicht empfehlen würde. Meine Frau bestellte Linsen und Spätzle. Die Linsen waren eher bissfest und ungenießbar. Der Spätzle war definitiv nicht hausgemacht. Er wurde zurückgegeben und meine Frau bestellte einen Rhabarber-Crumble. Dieser war sehr flüssig und nicht braun, es sah aus, als hätten sie vergessen, ihn zu backen. Die Bierauswahl ist sehr begrenzt und das Weizenbier, das ich bestellte, war nicht kalt und wurde schnell warm, sodass ich es nicht aufessen konnte. Ich vermute, sie leben hier vom Touristenverkehr und werden definitiv nicht von Einheimischen besucht.
