Müllers Löwen Schwarzenberg in Baiersbronn

At the beginning of our visit to the Löwen, we had to wait 35 minutes for our drinks (2 still waters, 2 blackcurrant juice spritzers), despite only 6-7 occupied tables. Unfortunately, the blackcurrant juice spritzer had almost no carbonation and gave the impression that only slightly sparkling tap water had been used. A glance at the drinks counter reinforced this impression. All drinks were prepared at the counter, and various juice spritzers came from the kitchen. The wait for the dishes was reasonable. My mother ordered a "Wiener Schnitzel." The quality doesn't match the name Sackmann at all; even McDonald's wouldn't serve fries like that anymore. The rest of the order was limited to 3 venison with cream sauce. It was okay. The sauce was good. Unfortunately, the spaetzle wasn't hand-grated. The meat was dry in places. We complained about the schnitzel. The waitress offered my mother a second course. We politely declined. We didn't want to pay for the schnitzel. €24 for such quality is simply abysmal. The management then personally came to our table. Unfortunately, he didn't apologize for the miserable meal. He said we couldn't pay, as we had eaten too much. Fair point – we did – because each of us tried it four times, as we absolutely couldn't believe that Sackmann's quality was what we get. Looking back, though, I wonder if we would have had to pay for two schnitzels if my mother had accepted the waitress's offer?! 50% was ultimately his offer. We had to accept it, but frankly, we'll never come back. A disappointment from start to finish – not least Mr. Sackmann's "I don't care" attitude.

We stayed at the Hotel Sackmann for four days and ended up here by chance. We found the restaurant to be very nice and traditional. We can't comment on the rooms, as we stayed next door at the Hotel Sackmann. In addition to the ambiance, we found Hien and Huong to be very hospitable and friendly.

The food was OK, but has been better. Service was terrible, even though it wasn't busy today. The wait was endless, even for the wheat beer. After what felt like 45 minutes, the beer finally arrived. It was a bitter, stale brew that was undrinkable. The waiters rarely show up, only when they really have to. Complaining to the waiter about the flat, warm Blärrebier resulted in the response, "It's not my fault. I'm not the boss!" At least they promised to bring us new beers. Another 45 minutes of waiting, and we had to dry-feed our food. The promised new beer never arrived, and by then we were fed up! The staff is so incompetent; any amateur host could do better! You have to consider that the Löwen belongs to the Sackmann. So why don't they train the staff accordingly? There are good people at the Sackmann Hotel. But better not to go to the Löwen anymore! We are terribly disappointed, even though we've been going there for years. But thanks, I'd rather not anymore!

In our room you could hear the ventilation very loudly which made it difficult to sleep. It seemed as if the ventilation was directly connected to the restaurant kitchen, as it smelled of fried food and grease. We reported twice to the reception, which is in the neighboring house and there is already a short walk. The problem was listened to there, but nothing happened. In addition, there are more or less no storage options in the bathroom. The breakfast you eat at the other hotel is very good.

This review only applies to the restaurant: the food was tasty, with excellent presentation. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant, with handcrafted decoration. Absolutely recommended!

Improvised lunch break during a motorbike ride in the Black Forest. Typical setting, friendly welcome and stroke of luck, the first asparagus of the season was on the menu. I won't allow myself to rate the hotel, as we only had lunch there, but the little I was able to see when going to the toilet made a very good impression on me.

Beautifully located hotel with restaurant in Schwarzenberg. The food was very tasty and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back.

Restaurant is nice. Good schnitzel. The staff didn’t speak English at all.

Room was nice and big. Very clean, but unfortunately completely cold at the beginning of the stay. The only service in the house was the maid. Breakfast across the street in the main building. Oh well. A notice in advance would have been better. Breakfast itself was excellent!!!! The service at Sackmann was also perfect!

Top service, kitchen and wellness area!

We celebrated a birthday with several people. We had reserved the blue room and there was no heating on, not even in the restaurant. that's a no go there was no apology either Two fan heaters were set up, which is simply not possible. Incredibly cheeky prices... The Hotel Löwen was founded by the Sackmann years ago! taken over in order to accommodate, see description, hikers, bikers and cyclists as short-term guests who you don't really want to have in the main building. It dates back to the 70s, maybe even earlier. The telephone booth including the elevator covered with carpet tops everything. In need of complete renovation. The balconies with a view of the construction yard are not bad either. We were invited there for a celebration. That means we were ashamed that the host paid at least 200 euros per person for a double room. No comparison to the competition, which is a few meters higher and we know it well. The main house is also very overrated. In general, the whole location of this hotel on the main street is very cramped between the slopes. Never seen such a loud and hectic breakfast area. The wellness area isn't great either. The photos tell more...

On October 26th, 2024 we had lunch in the 3 star Restaurant Löwen while passing through and were very disappointed. The cheese noodles were overcooked, the melted onions were gray and had probably been reheated several times. The glandular tissue on the beef tongue slices had not been removed and looked disgusting. Unfortunately, potato gratain and sweet potato puree only tasted bland, unseasoned, indistinguishable from each other, of nothing and that in a 3-star restaurant. The best thing about our dishes was the lard bread… The waitress was friendly and apologetic… What a shame!!!☹️ Even one star is too much.

Beautiful, renovated rooms and everything is absolutely clean. The owners are super nice and the food tastes great. We'll be back ❤️

Really very good hotel highly recommended

I've been here relatively often and happily, until now.....unfortunately today I was very disappointed for the first time 😞.....within 1.5 hours the conditions showed up at the terrace twice and even then it was them to another corner, and we had to call them louder, the portions were only half as big as usual, an iceberg salad for 7.90, nope!!!!!! I had to look for potato salad with a magnifying glass! Really guys, I'm super disappointed!!!!!!!I love your Stüble❤️but next time I'll just order something to drink....what a shame......

Nice hotel with great breakfast at Sackmann

Brilliant view over part of the Murgtal. A beautiful hiking route over the engagement rock from Schönmünzach. Afterwards a wonderful stop for snacks or more. Highly recommend the Vesperplatte, perfect after a relaxing hike through the Black Forest.😎😎🤩👍

The menu seems basically ok, we ordered a cake for 10.90 euros and got a touch of nothing. Pure rip off in my opinion.

In my opinion the price for the cake was way too high. Cake was good but very small and not worth 10 euros. In my opinion, rip off!

Restaurant bedclothes 6/16/24. around 14 o'clock. Time for ordering the food to be served takes approx. 55 minutes. Lt. Waiter was too busy, that's why it took so long. Well, with 12 restaurant guests present, I wonder whether it's even possible to work economically. Food was served at neighboring tables with a difference of up to 15 minutes. Not with us, thank God. There was no attention from the 2(!!!!) waiters. Empty glasses were ignored. There was no sales-oriented work... well, except when it came time to pay... all of a sudden the waiters were immediately buzzing around you. The tip is correspondingly low. From a culinary point of view it was solid. But you can also eat better for the money. PS: Why do you serve carelessly toasted toast with fish? I can't say anything about the Hotel Jannik. Just hope the service is better.

We booked a room for one night for €166.00. The room provided had an estimated room temperature of 30 degrees, the heating thermostat was hanging loose, so we didn't dare make any changes to it. Nobody was available at night, so we spent the night more or less sleepless. The next morning we complained at the reception, they regretted it, but they weren't prepared to reduce the price, just a bottle of champagne was worth the sleepless night for the hotel. Customer service looks different. Once and never again!

Clean, large room after spontaneous booking for a very good price, bed and breakfast, rustic restaurant with typically delicious food, nice entertainment and friendly staff. Breakfast in the Sackmann main building is very generous and of good quality.

Sehr schönes Haus, mit traditioneller , regionaler sehr guter Küche und Schmankerl. Liegt hervorragend für anspruchsvolle Schwarzwald-Wandertouren. Hier haben wir hervorragend gegessen und wurden wundervoll bewirtet. Sehr empfehlenswert

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen zum Essen vor Ort. Eines vorweg es war ein wirklich gelungener Abend. Trotz Hochbetrieb müssten wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Der Service war Hervorragend und das Ambiente ist mehr als nur gemütlich. Wir werden auf jedenfall nochmal kommen 👍
