I was there on a Saturday lunchtime. There is good home cooking, I opted for the sauerbraten. The roast itself was good, but the sauce was very watery with fat and no taste. The dumplings were very small, for the price of almost €20 I wouldn't order them again. The cobwebs have collected in the window sills, generally very rustic there. The service was ok considering it was so busy.

Fuck!!! A deposit stamp is required, which is fine, but it also has to be issued. But they wanted to keep the glasses, just not pay out the deposit!!

We came with the gourmet block. After we ordered the drinks and they were brought straight away, we wanted to order food and showed our gourmet block. We were informed that this would no longer be accepted because there had been a change of tenant. Redemption was also refused at the neighboring table. The food was average, the missing salad was only brought when asked, although this was pointed out when the order was handed out, which was directly behind us. The new tenant benefits from the entry in the Schlemmerblock without having to provide anything in return. Also a way to scare away customers. In any case, we'll never come back.

I had been meaning to eat a delicious Schäufele for a long time, and it worked out great here.

Excellent food. Both the Schäufele and the schnitzel taste good. We often get food to take away because you usually can't get a seat without a reservation.

A traditional pub. 👍🏻 Delicious food and regional beer. Good service. Tasty food and fair prices. We'd love to come back next time we're in Bayreuth, and then we'll have schnitzel :) Keep it up.

Also, ein Karpfenrestaurant ist es jedenfalls nicht! Mein Karpfen war nur halb durch, habe reklamiert, da wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass er genausolange wie alle anderen gegart wurde. Meiner war fast die Hälfte noch roh. Er mußte trotzdem voll bezahlt werden. Der Kartoffelsalat schmeckte nach gar nichts.Ich weiß nicht was er gekostet hat, da ich eingeladen war. Meiner Nebendame ihr Karpfen war fast verbrannt. Mein Lokal wird das nicht werden, schade!!

Waited almost two hours for food. Food was pretty okay. No one can be reached by phone.

Very quaint pub, super nice staff and fantastic food! The landlord is particularly accommodating!

The export beer was worth running away from. Cordon Bleu as hard as a board (however that works) Vegetable dumplings with egg were actually very good. Staff very friendly.
