Nice atmosphere, delicious food and fast service, although it could be a bit friendlier.

Rustic inn with a great Franconian menu and fresh dishes. The food was good overall, but the Cordon Bleu wasn't entirely convincing - the breading wasn't properly battered and the price was a bit too high. Still a cozy atmosphere and worth a visit!

Every now and then you should keep your New Year's resolutions, you often think that you shouldn't stop at Lämmle again and then you let yourself be disappointed again. Criticism below in bullet points and questions: - Waiters obviously work on a commission basis, you felt like you were asked every 2 minutes if you wanted to order this or that. - Card playing not allowed: reasoning is flimsy, unclear and incomprehensible. - Food: You only learn to appreciate the quality of barracks canteens or improvised field kitchens after you have been to Lämmle - Price: The salty gravy that comes with every dish can be competed with by using stock cubes in combination with water, which does not justify these prices. These may have to be tax deductible as donations to the operator, as the margin between effort and output is likely to approach infinity.

I've never had such a great meal! The schnitzel is nice and thin and the fried potatoes are super aromatic and delicious. The service was also great :) super friendly, funny and entertaining :) We'll be back <3

We had Schäufele with cabbage and dumplings and schnitzel with mushrooms. Both dishes were delicious and rich, the Schäufele was downright sumptuous. The service was very pleasant because it was friendly and in a good mood.

Went there for dinner about a week ago, the quality has deteriorated a lot.

When my colleague recently asked me which hangover remedy I found to be the most effective, I confidently said lamb liver dumpling soup. But that's not the only thing I think is good about it. During my life in Würzburg, I was able to try many dishes at Lämmle. The menu has a wide selection of different dishes made from Franconian cows, so everyone is sure to find something for themselves, be it something smaller like dressed Camembert or Leberkäs, or something larger like sauerbraten or schnitzel. And the Schäufele... When I'm very hungry I order the Schäufele and I'm 100 percent sure that I'll enjoy every bit of this Schäufele. The atmosphere is very nice, especially when you have a wonderful view of the Lady Chapel from the terrace in summer. The service is always very nice and you always get your food and drinks quickly and are generally always treated positively and respectfully. I would recommend everyone to visit this beautiful inn when they are in Würzburg!

We were there for the 3rd time today and were disappointed. The food order was not complete! Then a drink was ordered and it wasn't brought. Since the employees preferred to play "don't be angry", they didn't concentrate on the guests. Next time maybe play when there are no guests!!

In the past (until around 2021) the Lämmle was solid, middle-class Franconian and cozy; The dishes were already upper midfield to very good in relation to each other – 4 to 5 out of 5 certainly back then. Went there again today for the first time in about 3 years: reservations were accepted quite spontaneously (there wasn't much going on either), but then there was a ban on "playing cards" without a valid reason, and the food was SIGNIFICANTLY worse than 3 years ago Increased prices (normal), the sauce was very salty in a bag, the food was otherwise quite tasteless, only the portion size was ok. “Canteen food”, as a friend correctly remarked – at 30 euros for a meal and a drink. Overall felt very unwelcome, last time for a long time...

When we travel and head towards Würzburg, we always like to come to the Lämmle pub to eat a delicious Schäufele and enjoy a delicious beer. The Lämmle inn is highly recommended. The restaurant is cozy and the service is very good. We always feel very comfortable at Lämmle and really enjoy coming there. So what are you waiting for? Very nice restaurant and the best Schäufele in Würzburg. In summer you can also sit outside very well.

Honest food, very friendly service

Spontaneously asked for a table and got it promptly. Three people at a table of 7 with great other guests. The food is of very good quality even though it came within 10 minutes of ordering. The service is very attentive and quick. Simply top 👍🏻! We'd love to come back.

Went to Christmas dinner with the savings bank pensioners' regulars' table. There was a crispy duck leg with 2 dumplings and red cabbage. It all tasted very good and the price was also right. Lämmle is a good inn known for rustic Franconian food.

Thank God there is still a real German inn with good German cuisine in Würzburg. Absolutely perfect Schäufele.

How I was looking forward to the Schäufele...and it was great! Likewise the delicious duck leg with red cabbage. The various Franconian beers are freshly tapped (my favorite: Christmas beer) and they all taste fantastic. Very friendly and humorous service. Price/performance is very good.

Schnitzel came shockingly quickly. I think it's a shame that the champions had to live out their existence in a can. Fries very well done. OK, not amazing.

We went in just to drink, there were three of us and I didn't want anything, but a very unfriendly waitress forced me to consume, she said that was the condition, consume everyone, my stomach hurts I told her, then she brought me some tea.

I was there on a Saturday lunchtime. There is good home cooking, I opted for the sauerbraten. The roast itself was good, but the sauce was very watery with fat and no taste. The dumplings were very small, for the price of almost €20 I wouldn't order them again. The cobwebs have collected in the window sills, generally very rustic there. The service was ok considering it was so busy.

The food was very disappointing. We wanted to eat lamb, which used to always be on the menu. They took them out because it apparently didn't work. I then ate sauerbraten which was as firm as rubber. My partner ate schnitzel that was tough, the sauce didn't taste good at all and the fries were cold. Then there are also exorbitant prices. Too bad...

Beautiful restaurant with absolutely perfect food. The paprika schnitzel tastes heavenly, as does the dark beer. Service is also perfect. Unreservedly recommended!

Good food but lacks a bit of love. It came out extremely quickly, which is good, but it wasn't really hot and was probably already ready for the next order of rum. Otherwise look nice and nice staff. However, there could be one more person working outside, so you had to wait a while to order and receive the bill.

Although we couldn't make a reservation, the three of us got a place on Friday evening. Exactly, jam-packed. The service was very nice, courteous and had a sense of humor. Once again a ray of hope. The food (roast pork and sauerbraten) came quickly and was a poem. The map is well sorted. Good Franconian cuisine. Radler and Kellerbier were also delicious. You won't be forced to make room after your meal and you can have a relaxed conversation. Due to rain in the restaurant. Outdoor area available. The restaurant is partially barrier-free. I can only recommend it.

Friendly reception. Ambiance and food “good middle class”. Schäufele with crispy crust + cabbage & dumplings very tasty! Light sausages are unfamiliar to us in terms of consistency and mild flavor, so we're not "enthusiastic", but the quality is top! New to the range: cloudy non-alcoholic shandy; we were excited about it. Service from Lore(e?)n: very quick, clever and friendly. What we couldn't eat on site, she lovingly packaged creatively and solidly for us. Thanks again for that! "Biergarten" offers plenty of seating and is sheltered behind the church on the market square, easy to reach/find... yet not secluded. Just because of Lore(e?)n... who took the time to give tips and photos... we'd love to come back!

Excellent service, affordable price, and freshly baked shoulder in gravy, fingers to eat together with the roast.

We actually just wanted to EAT a little something. We then decided on the Schäuferle. It came quickly, with two dumplings, and extra sauce could easily be ordered. It was plenty and with a hangover you die a little bit afterwards.

A real inn in the middle of the "old town". Great atmosphere, excellent cuisine. Particularly noteworthy are the local specialties such as Schäufelchen, Franconian bratwurst and roast in delicious beer sauce. All in all, a successful tavern concept far away from any new style dining boutique. Keep it up.

Last night we went to the Garden Restaurant for dinner and ordered Lämmle Schnitzel. We enjoyed it very much but unfortunately there were so few fries that we needed another portion to fill us up.

If you're in a hurry to eat, this is the right place. Otherwise not recommended, you feel like you're in a fast food restaurant

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Würzburg und freuten uns auf leckere fränkische Küche. Im Lämmle wurden wir enttäuscht. Schäufele und Sauerbraten waren völlig geschmacksbefreit, die Kartoffelklösse kamen wohl aus der Packung. Der Service war ziemlich gelangweilt - aber immerhin schnell und korrekt. Schade für eine schöne Location, die mehr versprochen hat.

The food was very tasty and came after a short wait. Overall only four stars because the waitresses, apart from the usher, were unfortunately in a bad mood and listless.

Went to the Lämmle inn today to get something to eat. After waiting 20 minutes, we spoke to the first waitress in a friendly manner and asked if we could order. The lady turned around sulkily and said “Nope”. When we said “excuse me?” there was a louder “no”. Shortly afterwards the lady came back and said annoyed that the colleague was responsible. When we then spoke to a second colleague in a friendly manner, he also reacted quite irritably and said “my colleague will come when he has time, can’t you see what’s going on here?!”. His tone was irritable and inappropriate. When the responsible colleague came after about 25-30 minutes and we spoke to him, he also reacted very annoyed and said “I'll come when I have time, one thing at a time”. We then got up and left the restaurant. The employee shouted after us that he didn't care. It's a shame, I used to love being here. We fully understand that this job is stressful and it is easy to get stressed. However, I don't think it's right to let your bad mood out on your guests and be so snippy or cheeky with guests.

I always like to eat schnitzel here, with a salad and the sauce is absolutely delicious :)

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere.

Nice, rustic restaurant right away from the market square. It was almost exclusively locals there and there was home-style Franconian home cooking. That's exactly what we wanted and got. They are super nice and accommodating and very fond of children. It was really tasty and recommended.

Pork schnitzel was really bad, not crispy at all and smelled like pork. There was a lot of lamb salad, but it was covered in so much sweet sauce that we couldn't eat any of it. Food came in 5 minutes so we couldn't enjoy our drinks beforehand. No more lambs

A traditional and very good Franconian restaurant in the middle of the city. The food came super quickly and was very tasty. The portions are very generous. The staff is very nice. The salad alone had a bit too much vinegar and oil. Overall it tastes very good. Still delicious in September 2023. Leberkaes good in September 2024.

I was visiting Würzburg as a tourist and saw this wonderful shaded area with lots of people engaged in eating and drinking under the beautiful trees and couldn’t resist sitting down for dinner and getting out of the heat and noise in the square a few minutes away. I was greeted warmly and well taken care of. When I asked for the server to pick a wine he picked a 1/2 dry local Franconian wine which was so refreshing! My meal was very good but I was in love with their apple strudel vanilla ice cream. Definitely a big 5* as it was delicious. Needless to say I went there again day 2 and may go day 3 if possible. Staff members both days were excellent.

Well-attended beer garden. A service member made sure everyone got to the tables. Then you were in great hands under the trees and parasols. The food menu is great and definitely sufficient. Beer was cold and tasty. The food was warm and delicious. It didn't take long either. Service was very good and always had something to say

I went today at 4pm and in the bar there was a very rude boy who wouldn't serve me beer. I don't know who hired him, but he's not picky with customers. I came from 100 miles away to visit someone and I meet a man like that. I can't even imagine how he talks to customers.

Very nice and pleasant service, courteous especially towards the children, fast service with good food... A little away from the market square, therefore also pleasantly quiet in the beer garden. We'll be back 😌

Trying to find where I really wanted to go with the hopelessly confusing map apps, I ended up here which was on the list. Excellent service, but the food was just fairly ordinary reallynothing to write home about. Although I did discover that the German wine on their list was quite drinkable because I had been looking for a restaurant which had a wine bar attached to it, and which I assumed would have an excellent variety of wines to drink, so not too bad don’t run away, but there might be better places around

Nice restaurant in the middle of the city. We had a delicious meal here during a stopover on the way home. Very friendly and enthusiastic waiter. We also found Würzburg itself to be a surprisingly nice city.

Great service at the table, great food and delicious beer. Overall a nice experience. There is a star deduction for the impossible spot on the Weiser with the gray hair at the entrance. The guy really didn't work.

Ich bin zum ersten Mal in dieser wunderschönen Stadt und diesem Wirtshaus gewesen. Gegessen habe ich Sauerfleisch mit Klößen und Rotkohl. Der Wirt hat mir noch ein leckeres Bier dazu empfohlen. Ich muss zugeben, dass dieses Abendessen eines meiner besten war. Und wissen muss man, dass ich sehr gerne Sauerfleisch esse. 5 Sterne für ein sehr gutes Essen mit leckerem Bier.
