Pricey to eat, pasta with boiled meat

Sensationally friendly service. Food very tasteful. Personally, I actually found the veal schnitzel to be a bit lacking in meat. But would come back at any time

Price was high, but okay given the good quality. Huge wine selection. Had to drive 🚗 and could only drink a glass of the good house wine. Friendly and courteous service... perfect evening. Kitchen was open clean and tidy. The evening was really worth it and I'll definitely be back.

It's pleasant to sit inside and outside, especially in the shade at lunchtime in summer temperatures. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The selection was good and everyone found something tasty. I chose Franconian bratwurst and potato salad. The potato salad wasn't exactly enjoyable, unfortunately without any taste. There were no spices. My companions were very satisfied with their food, especially the fries and the chicken breast. Still a nice atmosphere and worth going back.

Top location, competent, friendly staff

We ended up at Juliusspital for dinner on the recommendation of a nice lady... we were given a very friendly welcome and were assigned a nice table on the terrace. The food and drinks left nothing to be desired... everything was very tasty and reflected the expectations of the operators. Lukas (our service partner for the evening) was very friendly and was always there for us. It was a completely successful evening. Many thanks to the entire team. We would be happy to be your guests again.

Met during a half-day trip in Würzburg, did everything right. Rarely have I encountered such friendly staff as here. Food is a little more expensive, but top quality and the lunch menu is attractively priced. Beer garden in the inner courtyard is idyllic and a gem in the hustle and bustle of the city. Dog friendly, funny cartoons in the toilet, everything fits.

We spontaneously stopped in for dinner. We sat in the small courtyard in the best summer weather. The service was friendly and very attentive, the wines from Juliusspital were very good. As was the food (Bolognese with game, garlic steak, cod and brawn). So an all-round lovely and successful evening. We found it rather amusing that they mistakenly tried to bring us food for the next table. A few wines later we paid and left. When we wanted to split the bill this morning, we discovered that the food that they had accidentally brought to us was on our bill. So they were booked incorrectly. Something like this shouldn't happen. And you should actually go over the bill with the guest instead of just putting the terminal down to pay. Yes, our mistake too, but still. It leaves a bitter (and expensive) aftertaste. So always check the invoice carefully. We will do that in the future.

Everything fits...fully meets expectations

Auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant für sonntägliche Mittagessen sind wir -sicherlich auch dem bekannten Namen folgend- im Juliusspital gelandet. Die Preise sind ausgesprochen sportlich (knapp 30€ für einen Caesar-Salat mit Hühnchen!!!!!), leider kommt die Essensqualität kaum über Kantinenlevel hinaus, wie zB die fränkischen Bratwürste mit erkennbar zugekauftem Kartoffelsalat. Auch die Portionen waren sehr überschaubar, zB die beiden kleinen Wiener Schnitzelchen mit demselben Industriekartoffelsalat. Man hat den Eindruck, dass die Restauration ihre besten Jahre hinter sich hat und leider nur noch auf lieblose Massenabfertigung gesetzt wird. Und das zu völlig haltlosen Preisen. Da gibt es in Würzburg sicherlich deutlich bessere Optionen!!

A lot of guests...despite no reservation, we found space for 6 people. The food was mostly very good... cordon bleu works like that...

Excellent food with very friendly service

A nice restaurant, the terrace in the inner courtyard is cozy and well protected with parasols. The food is very tasty and worth the money. Albeit a little more expensive. There is also delicious Juliusspital wine, which is always worth it. :)

When tourists asked what the regional and recommended dishes were, they completely exceeded the tastes and expectations of all of us. We can only recommend the wines. Thanks so much

Very tasty and good quality food and wine... but also at the appropriate price. There is also vegetarian food. Unfortunately, I wasn't full. Portions are manageable.

Wat een ontzettende afzetters, 23 euro voor een snitzel waar een klein kind nog honger van blijft houden. Ook de cordon bleu was niet te eten zo droog. Hoe dit restaurant aan een positieve 4 komt is mij echt een raadsel. Onvriendelijk personeel dat weigert om je netjes te helpen......totaal geen aanrader!

The Franconian vitello was very tasty - although the portion of meat was quite small and there was hardly any sauce (but I got it straight away, thank you!). The fried potatoes were plentiful and very tasty. Of course, great wine with it and when the weather is nice you can sit comfortably and beautifully in the quiet courtyard. I will gladly come again…

Very, very good food. We were a large group and everyone got their food at once. Everything was hot until the last tasty bite. The waiters very attentive and polite.

The service is far too clumsy for the location. When I asked for ketchup with a schnitzel, the waiter rolled his eyes. “Are you serious?” - Yes, that was it, and in all upscale restaurants from Sylt to Rome I have been able to enjoy my schnitzel with ketchup without comment. When I wanted to pay, he said with a bill of 35 euros: "That's 100 euros. We always do that when things have to be done quickly." Woah, I just wanted to end the day with good food without any stupid discussions!

Everything is fine, only dirty floors are a minus point.

When the weather was good, we had a nice place outside, basically in the courtyard and far away from all the hustle and bustle. The dishes we ordered were very tasty and the wine met our expectations. The service was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long.

We just went to have a glass of wine. The other location they had for wine is permanently(?) closed, so we walked to the far right of the building. The wine was good and it seemed like quite a popular place.

The food wasn't well prepared, the fries were burnt and the meat was totally dry. The service only came to bring the food and after the meal only to clear it away, so a drink in 2 hours is anything but hospitable, there's no question whether there are any wishes. Maybe you want to Yes, no sales were made. At least that was the impression. With 4 waiters constantly around at the neighboring tables, you either feel forgotten or unwelcome. When we asked, the waiter only gave a mushy answer. So it wasn't recommended for us. There's still a lot of room for improvement.

Great simple classic schnitzel and house wine! Fries might be a bit dry so ask for sauce e.g. ketchup. Very friendly and efficient service, lovely outdoor seating at the back of the restaurant. Danke :)

Delicious Franconian dinner in this typical restaurant in Würzbug. The food and drinks were really tasty, the waiters were really friendly and the service was very quick. We sat outside on the terrace and on this warm day of May it was a lovely evening.

For me, a really fantastic shop in downtown Würzburg! There is fantastic food, really tasty drinks – especially the house shopping. Tastes fantastic. A small point of criticism for me is the somewhat very quiet atmosphere - when the store is a little empty, there is no music or anything similar. The schnitzel was really good! Although I have to say that the salad convinced me even more

Delicious food, go there!! We have been to several restaurants. This is 'the place to be'. What professionals! Food is fantastic, service very attentive, hard working and skilled. Many, yes many, choices regarding the wines, (yes of course: the Juliusspital foundation not only produces but also provides a good cause) beautiful á la carte menu. The two of us were there on a Monday, it was moderately busy, so everything went smoothly. We didn't have a reservation. Drinks were served quickly and food didn't take long either. Wines were great and so was the food. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Absolute recommendation!

When the weather was good, the courtyard was our first choice. Inside, the restaurant is of course also traditionally and very cozy. There is rustic Franconian cuisine and more. Very tasty and plentiful. The service staff was extremely attentive and gave us professional advice when choosing the wine. How could it be otherwise at the second largest winery in Germany!

We had a very nice evening for two, which was one of our highlights on our city trip to Würzburg! We sat at a large table, the ambience was a nice mix of modern and traditional. Great ambience, beautiful rooms. Sometimes too loud. Cry, sometimes rather expensive. Riesling ordered for 0.2 Paid €10. I find it very ambitious for a Riesling. Especially since there are also cheaper options that you can choose without informing the guest

Very friendly service! The snack platter is a poem, visually very appealing and very diverse with salmon, trout, wild boar ham, salami and liver sausage, dressed Camembert, salad and fruit. The garlic pork steak with fried potatoes and super delicious sauce! Excellent wine and delicious brandies!

A must for Würzburg visitors. Tip: buy a good bottle from Juliusspital - it's worth it!

We have been coming to Würzburg for more than 11 years and just visited the wine bars today. What can I say, super friendly service, great atmosphere and the food was also very tasty. Great tartare, brilliant main courses. We'll definitely be back.

Easy to find on main road next to municipal office old establishment offers great German foods and own varieties wine from own vineyard

We reserved a table a week in advance, for Friday evening, and we were immediately warned that we could only stay for 2 hours (since it was a day off and they were expecting a lot of visitors). We agreed, although I don’t really like it. The food was delicious, the service was polite and friendly. But the restaurant was really very stuffy and hot. Perhaps to prevent people from sitting for a long time. 😢

Price performance not convincing

Had the fried trout with butter. Absolutely great in terms of taste and appearance. Very entertaining service. High prices, but they are justified by the overall package. Come back.

Well, I have to say that you don't get bread with your starter is outrageous. After order! 3 thin slices of baguette 3.50 beats everything. Not so soon anymore

Wir sind zufällig hier angekommen und es war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe dort essen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, sowas habe ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt, ein großes Kompliment, macht weiter so! Das Essen war sehr gut und sehr schnell am Tisch (für meinen Geschmack aber schon fast zu schnell). Wir würden das Lokal uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Ich bin wirklich begeistert, das Essen ist sehr frisch und lecker zubereitet. Solange muss man auch nicht warten darauf, Personal + Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auf den Bildern sind die Nachspeissen,und Sauerbraten zu sehen.

Bell ambiente, servizio puntuale, vino ok ma pessimo rapporto qualità prezzo del cibo. Materie prime di bassa qualità e prezzi alti. Per la cucina tradizionale della Franconia si trova di molto meglio a prezzi più bassi

Am Samstag erst wieder dort gewesen und leider total enttäuscht. Preis Leistung hat überhaupt nicht gestimmt. Für die Menge und die Qualität sehr überteuert gewesen. Geschmacklich sehr schwach. Von 7 Personen nur einer zufrieden gewesen. Service ist nett und schnell gewesen. Wie immer und hier nichts auszusetzen. Sorry, aber für den Preis muss einfach mehr kommen und vorallem mehr auf dem Teller sein.

Flotter Service und gutes Essen

Einfach mal ein Restaurant in dem alles passt. Ambiente toll, Service klasse und Essen auch genial. Etwas hochpreisig und damit für den besonderen Anlass. Der Mittagstisch ist aber preislich super und wenn es zeitlich klappt gehe ich da gerne hin. Alles in allem sehr stimmig.

Die Weinstube ist immer unser Ziel, wenn wir in Würzburg sind. Sie haben uns als Stammgäste gewonnen.

Ich trinke kein Alkohol daher kann ich das nicht bewerten. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Der Fisch war gut aber in Kombination mit Linsen nichts für mich. Der Vorspeisen Salat war super. Da ich geschäftlich hier war , kann ich die Preise nicht bewerten

Freundlicher Empfang am Eingang in einem schönen Ambiente einer traditionellen Weinstube mit modernen Elementen. Ein herzlicher, schneller und aufmerksamer Service. Das Rumpsteak war perfekt auf den Punkt, Gemüse gut abgeschmeckt und auf den Punkt gegart. Auch die Bratkartoffeln waren gut abgewürzt. Hochzeitsessen war super lecker. Der Meerrettich war genau richtig, nicht zu scharf, aber auch nicht zu leis. Tafelspitz schön zart. Der Schmelz war für meinen Geschmack zu buttrig, hätte gerne etwas mehr crunchen dürfen. Das Essen war ausreichend portioniert, hätte gerne etwas heißer serviert werden können. Fotos haben wir nicht gemacht, war aber sehr schön angerichtet. Das Auge isst ja bekanntlich mit. Die Weinauswahl ist super, der Haustrunk Julius war fruchtig herb, auch in der zero-Version gelungen nur etwas herber.

Essen gut, sehr schönes Ambiente

Gute kleine Speisekarte, klassische und frische Gerichte, gute Portionen, sehr appetitlich präsentiert, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr gute und umfangreiche regionale Weinkarte. Freundliche und humorvolle Bedienung.

Forelle blau, hervorragend. Die Franken können einfach sehr guten Sud für gekochten Fisch machen. Da macht ihnen so schnell keiner was vor. Als Einzelperson gab es spontan noch Platz an den Hochtischen. Über die Weinauswahl muss man, glaube ich, nichts weiter sagen.

Gehobene Atmosphäre, spannende Weine und abwechslungsreiche regionale Speisekarte. Reservieren ist empfehlenswert, aber manchmal klappt es auch spontan.

Wohl die beste traditionelle Weinstube in Würzburg! Unbedingt reservieren! Guter Service, gute Küche. Kartenzahlung problemlos möglich. Eine Empfehlung - nicht nur für Touristen!

Ganz tolle Weinstube! Sehr empfehlenswert. Sind seit einigen Tagen in Würzburg zu Besuch und haben einige Restaurants/Weinstuben besucht. Das Juliusspital ist einfach unschlagbar. Der Service ist sehr sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Ambiente sehr angenehm und das Essen unfassbar gut. Vorallem Tolle Weine. Wir kommen wieder!

Ich wohne seit 8 Jahre in Deutschland und dieses Restaurant ist das beste deutsche Restaurant, dass ich überhaupt probiert habe
