Zeltner in Nürnberg

Das Essen war supergut. Wir hatten Spanferkelschäufele und Bärlauch-Cordon bleu. Der Salat einfach perfekt!! Das Personal ging auf Sonderwünsche ein, war aufmerksam und sehr nett. Das frühere Personal wurde nach Corona ausgetauscht und die alten Bewertungen kann man getrost vergessen!!! Ich freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal!

Rustic, with the Franconian charm! The pepper carp was perfect! An incredibly nice service - after the check, the children were allowed to wish for balloons, which turned into dogs and heavies within a few seconds.

The Zeltners have a rough tone that you have to like or ignore. The service was quick and well-rehearsed, you can't complain about that. The quantity of food was plentiful (2 pieces of large roulades for example/ zander fillet with salad, portion size was also good here). Unfortunately, the taste was rather neutral. Somehow the spice is missing. But this inn is holding its own.

My wife had a braised roast venison and I had a Franconian crusted shovel. We were both extremely happy with the quality of our food. The meat from the Schäufele almost fell off the bone and was wonderfully tender. The crust was nice and crispy, cracked easily in the mouth and was not tough at all. All in all: a successful Sunday afternoon!

Good, down-to-earth Franconian food, friendly service and a simple, rustic interior. And not to forget: a pleasingly large selection of Franconian - and Bavarian - beers. A successful concept - and (unfortunately...) not an insider tip. Reservation is definitely recommended.

The food is consistently good. Franconian cuisine at affordable prices. The staff is generally friendly and quick, especially at lunchtime. In the evening people like to have a little schnapps and you can feel that the staff would like to call it a day. So it happens that the kitchen is closed at 8:45 p.m. This is very annoying when you rely on the kitchen being open until 10 p.m. according to the menu and then have to leave hungry.

I would have liked to spend my lunch break in the garden again today with the delicious shish kebab. Many (!) free tables, but when asked, a place at the regulars' table was very rudely assigned. After this was already occupied by a guest and I wanted/needed to work with sensitive data "on the side", I asked again for a single seat. Very unfriendly murmurs again! Then leave the restaurant: SHAME! And certainly not again any time soon.

We stopped by here on our way back from vacation and spontaneously got a table without a reservation (7 p.m. during the week). The food (roulades and pike perch) was fresh and tasty, the apple fritters tasted like my grandma used to make them. It should be emphasized that both waitresses were particularly friendly, courteous and funny. It's a shame that we don't have such delicious cuisine on site. Thanks

Wir waren mit Freunden dort. Alleine hätten wir das nicht gefunden bzw. hätten das nicht ausgewählt. Tolle Gaststätte, leckeres Bier und das Rehgulasch mit Knödel und Blaukraut war zum niederknien. ☺️😋👍

As I write this review, I'm actually sitting in the tent. After the last incident, I didn't think I would ever set foot here again, even now it's just a test. I have been visiting the Zeltner since it was founded, as it is in the neighborhood, with exceptions about 5-10 times a month. I have experienced all the supposed highs and lows of the last few years. About 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday, when we wanted to grab something quick to eat and, as usual, sit down at the regulars' table, a waitress yelled at us in the worst possible way, saying there was no room, we weren't regulars and the seats were for Regular guests reserved...okay, I wasn't aware until then that we or I weren't seen as regular guests and, above all, that a waitress could decide that in a very unfriendly and aggressive tone. We weren't made aware of alternatives either, but were once again treated in a really anti-social manner. I worked in the catering industry for over 15 years, including studying hotel economics, but I have never experienced anything so damaging to my business in all my time. I now also know that the seats in question remained free throughout the evening. Thanks to his employees, the owner has thrown away a one-off turnover of around €50, or with a decent calculation, around €35 ​​in profit, without taking future (non-)regular customer turnover into account. I'm now enjoying my Seidla on the house and I'm still on the fence about whether and how often I'll stop here again. It's a shame that it's all because of the impossible behavior of ONE employee. If I wasn't so well educated unlike her... But make up your own mind, the food and drinks plus the ambience are otherwise perfectly fine for the location.

Erstmal sehr positiv bei den mittlerweile sehr günstigen Preisen gestimmt gewesen, allerdings ist das Essen wirklich nur mittelmaß. Nicht sehr schlecht, aber auch nicht wirklich gut. Hat bei uns allen quasi an Gewürzen gefehlt. Das Bier ist super, die Örtlichkeit ist Innen auch sehr klein. Sollte man Reservieren. Gibt bessere Locations zum Essen und Biertrinken in Nürnberg.

The Viennese veal schnitzel tastes best here. My grandma got 8 stars from Manfred in Vienna and they tasted just as good. And the price is right.

A typical Franconian restaurant in the middle of Nuremberg with good food and large portions. You can sit comfortably at the wooden tables and there are delicious, changing beers on tap.

Top service and really good food. Cordon Bleu was great. My wife also liked the vegetarian dish. The service was very attentive and always there when we needed it. We will be back :-)

It was our first time here and we immediately felt at home. The welcome was friendly Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were kindly assigned a place in the front guest room. The guest room is simply and functionally furnished. The rooms and the toilets are very clean. The room quickly filled with new guests, who were all warmly welcomed and served. Most of the guests are from the immediate area. The waiter was attentive to every guest. Drinks and food came quickly. I chose beef roulades. There were 2 pieces on the plate! They were wonderfully soft, well filled and served with lots of delicious sauce. I ordered a dumpling instead of the mashed potatoes listed on the menu. It was wonderfully filled with small pieces of bread. There was also a large mixed salad. A perfect compilation. My husband chose cordon bleu with potato salad. This was freshly prepared in the pan. He was also really excited about this Franconian cuisine. The portions are large, no one leaves here hungry. Price, performance and quality are excellent. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back.

We came just for a beer while walking our dog, and it was fully booked on a Sunday (which means it is a good one ☺️) and they were super friendly with our little one, offered us water and some snack for him for free! Great local German pub (restaurant if you prefer). We came every evening, because the atmosphere is pleasant, people from the area come and you feel as if you are a local. The food is excellent and we tried pork in an onion sauce with some excellent baked mash, small sausages, shoulder in a falling apart beer sauce and some venison chops. In addition, a couple of beers, draft or bottled, and real merak. However, the greatest asset of this restaurant are the two wonderful, wacky waitresses Andrea and Sabrina. They are always smiling, they make jokes both at their own expense and at other people's expense, they are there to recommend, bring hazelnut or cherry brandy to your account (to wash your mouth a little from the beer 😀) and you really feel at home. All in all the most sincere recommendations

Wir waren am Freitag zu zweit zum Karpfen essen im Zeltner. Da wir kurz vor 12 Uhr da waren, bekamen wir ohne Reservierung einen Platz und wurden schnell bedient. Kurz nach 12 Uhr war das Lokal gut besetzt - für diese Zeit empfiehlt es sich zu reservieren. Der kleine Pfefferkarpfen war sehr gut, vor allem nicht zu fettig. Ein gutes Mittagessen - wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fränkische Wirtschaft mit ebensolchen Gerichten. Das Platzangebot ist leider etwas eingeschränkt, man sollte auf alle Fälle reservieren. Hatte Glück und kurzfristig einen Platz für 2 bekommen. Unser Essen war lecker, frisch zubereitet und trotzdem ohne große Wartezeit, obwohl auch eine Weihnachtsfeier parallel lief. Es gibt wechselnde spezielle Biere als Tagesbier. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Sind spontan gekommen, sind dabei fränkisch freundlich von der Dame empfangen worden. Haben auch einen Platz bekommen. Der Kellner war sehr nett. Das Essen war auch sehr gut und kam auch sehr schnell. Komme sicherlich wieder.

Das Essen war gut, die Schnäpse nicht so. Die Preise für das eigens vermarktete Bier finde ich zu teuer auch wenn es sehr lecker ist. Die Gaststätte wirkt für meine Geschmack zu kühl und nicht so einladend.

Sehr gutes Essen - fränkische Küche. Wir hatten eine Trauerfeier und hatten 5 Tische reserviert und waren alle bestens zufrieden!! Ich als Organisator der Feier war allerdings überrascht, dass für die 5 Tischdecken 50 Eur auf der Rechnung standen. Hatte aber vorher leider nicht hinterfragt ob dafür Mehrkosten entstehen. Ich war jetzt das 3. Mal im Zeltner zum Essen. Es war jedesmal super lecker. Sehr gute Hausmannskost, Portionen bei denen jeder satt wird. Glücklich macht das Essen hier allemal. Ausserdem gibt es Gerichte, die ansonsten nicht mehr auf den Speisekarten zu finden sind Das Personal ist nett und zuvorkommend und serviert auch halbe Portionen für den kleinen Hunger. Es gibt Biere, die auch nicht überall angeboten werden. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt, man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Was will man mehr. Ich komme auf alle Fälle wieder.
