Very rustic bratwurscht house with very friendly staff, which is outside the pedestrian zone and therefore has little traffic. The food was really delicious. The sour tips are awesome. The prices are also ok, but as always everyone has to decide for themselves. I can only recommend it to everyone.

Nice atmosphere, you can also sit outside. But unfortunately our salt knuckles were not fresh. Not pink flesh and light rind as it should be. It was probably already old. Yes, it's a shame. The bratwurst, sauerkraut and potato salad were good.

I ate outside due to the weather. The food was okay, the sauerkraut was excellent. Unfortunately the service was bad. Ordered sauerkraut as a side dish, then confirmed again. Then what was brought was...potato salad. In response to my complaint, sauerkraut was brought. Forgot the horseradish too. The sauerkraut was then added to the bill as an additional side dish. Conclusion: They can cook, but the service lacks interest in the guest.

A real authentic restaurant, in the style of the time.

As soon as we saw the restaurant from the street, we dediced to eat here. The ambient is exceptional. Very good traditional food. And all the staff very kind. They love what they do and that makes a difference.

Very friendly staff, beautiful old restaurant

I went there for the summer holidays also intrigued by the historicity of the place. From the outside it seems to be in front of a house from another era, arranged on two floors and small compared to the other buildings around, nice. We had a little difficulty noticing the entrance because it was located on the side of the house. As soon as we enter we talk to a boy at the counter who brings us to the attention of the person in charge of the room; as soon as we refer to it in a concise, sudden way and with a personal gesture he tells us that he is German (almost as if to say that he only speaks German). He assigns us a table, sharing it with another couple and speaks exclusively in German throughout the dinner. In my case I take 8 Nuremberg sausages accompanied by a spoonful of sauerkraut; the sausages are normal, the sauerkraut is tasty although few and with a quick service. The rotbier was good, it wasn't on tap but maybe that's right. When paying the bill I find the indication if I want to leave a tip (I know it is an evaluation of the service) and I decide for a 'nein', that is, a no, at this point the person in charge of the room tells me in English 'very bad service' and as an answer from me he has an 'i think you are only deutchland'. We pay and I don't think I will return.

Nuremberg's oldest bratwurst kitchen. The sausages are grilled over beech wood. As a side dish there is sauerkraut and/or potato salad. Very, very tasty and authentically served. The service is very friendly. Reservation recommended. Would love to come back.

in a historical corner, indeed old house. however, people working there do not look like nuernburger. Nor is the food taste. I regret to choose this restaurant to host my friends who come to visit Nuernburger. High score is given to their website - very tricky

As an old Nuremberg native, I know what Nuremberg bratwursts should taste like. The sausage meat that was served there was too fine, it was bland and had been on the grill for too long.

Very quaint and cozy. Friendly, fast and patient service. The ambience is of course magnificently historical and can't really be topped. There is -nomen est omen- sausage!!! Potato salad and cabbage were super tasty, fresh horseradish and pretzels on the side. A poem with Nuremberg sausages.

Excellent dinner, I really enjoyed it!!! Even 5 minutes before the end of working hours, they brought a delicious dinner and draft beer, completely cool without any sign of protest.

Very nice place to eat, with a lot of tradition and history. The food was correct. Of course, we ordered a couple of dishes to share (we were 2 adults and 1 5-year-old child), and when we asked them to give us some plates to serve us, they wanted to charge us 1 euro per plate. I know it's not money, but being charged for setting up some plates to serve you seems bad to me, to be honest.

It was quite empty during the week, even though it seemed very touristy to us. Very quaint and quite narrow due to the old building, which has a certain charm. Great price and taste.

Came at around 2pm on a weekday, it was quiet. Food was served quick and the taste was very good. It was the best Nürnberger sausages I have had while in town.

Just ate in this very characteristic place. The food was delicious, few choices but done really well. The lady who serves the tables is delightful, very kind and speaks many languages. Quick and efficient service. The strudel is impossible not to taste. Real delight. We ate for lunch. I highly recommend this place

Yesterday we were in this historic restaurant in Nuremberg. There were delicious Nuremberg bratwursts, sauerkraut and potato salad. Unfortunately the sauerkraut was sweet. Therefore only 4 stars for the food! But otherwise everything was done right!

Reading the reviews on this place is so cringe. Like a bunch of Americans who don't understand German culture at all. This place is fantastic! The service was very nice, greeted them in German but made it obvious we were tourists. It was service as I expect in Germany, not in your face but plenty of time to relax and enjoy the time in a special place. The obatzda was delicious, as were the sausages and potato salad. The potato salad was actually one of the best we've ever had. We went back a couple times on our trip and enjoyed it each time. Really a fantastic place! In fact, we are going to Germany again this year and will be stopping by for sure.

Decent but I don’t see the great hype. Sausages are ok. Staff is not ever interested in tourists (of which there are many). It’s ok for a lunch but not special.

Wat een mooi en oud restaurant binnen de oude muur van de oude stad. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en we Lindenhoeve gelukkig op Hemelvaart lekker eten. We hebben alle gerechten gewoon besteld en met z’n vieren gedeeld. De traditionele worstjes waren heerlijk maar de andere gerechten ook zeer zeker. Echt een aanrader om verschillen gerechten te delen.

Ambiance is alternative, otherwise an insider tip for good food. Was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. Inconspicuous from the outside, but a really good kitchen. Easily accessible by bicycle. With a car there was almost no parking space and I would have been worried about my car not being damaged.

Nella sua location originaria scampata alla distruzione bellica, con una atmosfera quasi medievale tra braci in legno di faggio a vista, cucina in stoviglie di metallo, la Zum gulden stern e’ una esperienza nella Norimberga culinaria. Tra le mitiche salsicce, al maiale, fino alle zuppe di fegato e di patate, e il formaggio fuso con i bretzel. Tutto ottimo incluso l’ottima Dunkel della Tucher alla spina e lo strudel di chiusura.

Great historic place to eat sausage!

Nachdem ich im Nürnberger Bratwurst Museum war, erhielt ich auf Nachfrage die Info dass es in diesem Hause noch die Historisch / traditionelle Nürnberger Rostbratwurst gibt. Frisch (nicht geräuchert oder vorgebrüht) über Buchenholz gegrillt. Das seit 1419. Auch die Einrichtung soll noch zu 80% erhalten sein, das Gebäude wurde nicht zerstört. Nachdem es nun ein Plätzchen für mich gab, entschied ich mich für 10 Röstla mit Kartoffelsalat, es gab in der Karte den Hinweis dass es etwas länger dauert aufgrund der frischen Wurst, doch so wirklich lange musste ich nicht warten, empfand es als annehmbar. Die Röstla waren hervorragend gebräunt, und sehr lecker. Der Kartoffelsalat hat auch gut geschmeckt. Eine Gute Wahl wenn man es Uhrig und geschichtlich mag. Ich komme auch gerne mal wieder beim nächsten Besuch.

The place is nice and furnished in typical Bavarian style, it's a shame that the rest fails. As soon as we entered, even though we had booked days in advance, we were warned that there would be an hour of waiting... if this was already known it would have been nice to write it on the site... going beyond this detail, the moment of ordering arrives during which two dishes were finished... even the bread. The food wasn't bad apart from the salad: sparse and drowned in too much vinegar for our tastes. The hot strudel was delicious but still a terrible experience!

De titel zegt het al, wat een prachtig restaurant. Het ademt historie uit, want het bestaat al sinds 1419 als bradwurst restaurant. De oudste van Duitsland. De bediening is prima en het eten heerlijk! Leuk om er nog eens naar toe te gaan.
