Absolutamente fantástica experiencia gastronómica! El ambiente es cálido y acogedor, por lo que es perfecto para una cena acogedora. El menú ofrece una deliciosa variedad de platos, cada uno lleno de sabor. El servicio fue impecable, atento sin ser intrusivo. Muy recomendable para cualquiera que busque disfrutar de una comida memorable!

Not sure where the 5 stars are coming from but this place is an overpriced tourist trap. Mainly seems to cater for foreign business types on expenses. Food took approx 1 hour to arrive because there seems to be 1.5 waitresses for the entire place. Food is of OK quality. The signature sausages are way too salty. The pork steak is good though, but portion is child-sized. Avoid unless of course you're an Instagram influencer or want to impress your business pals.

Can't lie that the reviews had me a little on edge, but after dining here: Anyone complaining about service either needs to chill or be more understanding if/when they're visiting during the high travel season. I had a perfectly pleasant and delicious meal here. Dark beer, sausage, saurkraut, and potato salad were all very good. Fair pricing and quick, friendly service, though granted this was on a Sunday night during shoulder season. Only thing I'll complain about is that I can't take a barrel of their barrel saurkraut home with me, but that's probably just a me problem. Otherwise, it's pretty simple: Make a reservation. Eat to your heart's content. Profit.

Delicious traditional food and the most amazing atmosphere. It feels like time traveling, I absolutely recommend it!

Both grilled bratwursts and sour dumplings were very good. Fast, friendly service, if you don't come alone outside of peak hours, like me, you should make a reservation.

I'm blown away by how cool this is! This is still a real inn, as it should be. Life is pulsating here, you can smell how your food is being prepared, the waitress lives and loves her job... It's crazy that I was able to experience something like that in our soulless plastic world in 2025! And then the food and drinks aren't even expensive! Please keep it up and to all potential guests: go there!

Quaint restaurant in the old town of Nuremberg. Grilling takes place on the open grill in the dining room. You have to see this before. The location is located in a time-honored building. That alone is worth seeing. A manageable menu with originals from the region. It tasted wonderful. Really recommended.

The ambience and service are very good, but unfortunately the food is only partial. The bratwursts and sirloin were very good, but the side dishes (potato salad and coleslaw) tasted like they came from a bucket from the wholesale market. They weren't homemade. I would have expected that given the high prices. Therefore only 3 stars for the food, also because of the price. The location is very clear, but I think 17 euros for 6 small Nurembergers and 2 small Lendchen is a bit too high. A small lamb's lettuce as a side dish also cost just under 10 euros.

Simply the best. A must do during a Nuremberg visit. Thanks for the great food and epic atmosphere.

Die Würstchen mit Kraut waren super. Das Kraut beinhaltet reichlich Kümmel, was ich normalerweise Weise nicht so mag, hat mir hier aber fantastisch geschmeckt. Beim betreten des Hauses erlebt man eine kleine Zeitreise. Es ist unheimlich gemütlich und alles wirkt sehr geschichtsschwanger. Das Personal ist freundlich.

I had two things. The bratwursts tasted very good. The meat, however, was tasteless. The sauerkraut portion was very small, but the taste was good.

The best sausages in town. Particularly good with cabbage. This has a lot of caraway seeds, which I don't really like, but it's delicious here! Very rustic and homely atmosphere and good service. Advance reservation definitely makes sense.

We were served very nicely even without a reservation, unfortunately the loins were out, we got the city sausage instead, it was all very tasty, but very sausage-heavy. I don't really like eating from tin plates either, but it was very comfortable otherwise.

The building is old and historic. The food is delicious. Make sure you order the sauerkraut with your bratwurst. What an amazing combination, along with the horseradish.

I can agree with the reviews that the food and atmosphere were good , but the service was really bad that it ruined the food experience .. the person who was taking the order was so rude and uninterested, at some points trying to place an order with him was intimidating.. the cherry on the top is that he asked us for a tip !!

We dropped in for a pre-Christmas meal and was not disappointed. Delicious, hearty cuisine in a cosy historic setting. Definitely recommended!

A popular and historic German restaurant. The wooden exterior and interior feel quite old, but the atmosphere is very nice. There are many seats. The menu also includes photos, making it easy to order. However, English is difficult to communicate. The German sausages and meat dishes are delicious, but the cheese fondue and pretzels are also recommended. Bacon and onion mixed with cheese go perfectly together.

Very good and traditional restaurant for Franconian cuisine. Original Nuremberg grilled sausages prepared to perfection, exceptionally tasty sauerkraut. Unfortunately very poorly trained operators, difficult to understand and incorrect. In addition, many dishes are not available even though they are on the menu. The food is as good as German food can get—sausages, potatoes, and cabbage galore. It feels like they’re still eating as if they were in wartime. The service, however, was awful. We were greeted by the owner himself, who clearly has never traveled outside of Germany and has no clue what good service means. I visited with my girlfriend and her parents, a family of four, during the busy Christmas season. Half the items on the menu weren’t available, which was already disappointing. We ordered three large dishes to share and politely asked for individual plates so we could serve ourselves. The owner brought us just one plate, then proceeded to count out loud, pointing his finger at us with an annoyed tone: "1, 2, 3, 4," as if we were bothering him. If you can go somewhere else, do it. There are definitely better restaurants with far superior service.

Everything was great! The area, the food, and the service. The only thing I did not like and was surprised to see was that they have adopted a Western culture that is tipping. The waitress asked if we liked service and to tip. This is the first time I have seen this in all my visits to Germany. Please don't adopt this very ugly culture of asking for tips on your little machine. I am still surprised it happen. Feels like the stupid tipping culture we have in the states. To be fair, the service was good, everything was awesome except for the tipping.

Seit 1419 und heute eine schöne urige Touristenfalle. Was schön für Touristen ist: es wird immer noch auf Zinn serviert, es wird immer noch auf einem Herzteller serviert. Ich hatte Dreierlei bestellt: Die Nürnberger waren sehr gut. Die Stadtwurst war ein Sechstel Würstchen aber auch nicht so aufregend. Und die Schweinelende mit Fertig-Kräuterbutter, war geschmacklich nichts und leider auch knochentrocken. Als das nächste Mal wieder nur Nürnberger. Den Meerrettich muss man extra zahlen und hat aber die richtige Schärfe und Konsistenz. Der Krautsalat mit Speckwürfel war sehr gut.

I stopped by for dinner near the hotel I was staying at. It's said to be the world's oldest bratwurst kitchen, and you can watch the bratwurst being prepared on the first floor. The atmosphere was classic and the food was delicious!

A unique historical restaurant with beautiful Bavarian interior. I really liked the steaks and Nuremberg sausages with horseradish and original salads. The delicious nut schnapps and the dark beer were also excellent. The strudel with cream sauce was simply delicious. A special thank you to the friendly, personable and attentive waitresses Yeva and Arevik, who fit harmoniously into the Bavarian flair of the Zum Gulden Stern restaurant. Había hecho reservas y estaba deseando un buen almuerzo "alemán". Estábamos sentados arriba y nos dieron menús. Vi un buen sonido de "dunkel" y pedí medio litro. Entonces pedí un vaso de agua. "Leitungswasswer" Me dijeron que no. Es "verboten". Les expliqué que siempre he hecho esto cuando bebía cerveza en Alemania durante muchos años. (He hecho en Muenchen, Duesseldorf, Koeln, Hamburgo, Berlín, Osnabrück, y muchos más). Traté de explicar que puedo beber más cerveza si también bebo agua. Ella seguía diciendo VERBOTEN así que me levanté y bajamos las escaleras todavía discutiendo. No recibí ayuda abajo, así que nos fuimos. Everything is beautiful here: old wooden furniture, antique kitchen utensils on the walls, and of course the food! Rosy Nuremberg sausages, juicy and filling potato salad and delicious rich cabbage. Perhaps the best place to discover Nuremberg cuisine.

I can't understand the previous reviews. The Röstla are very tasty. The sauerkraut tastes sweeter than anywhere else, but I think that's particularly good. The portions were sufficient for us, but we often eat star-rated cuisine. The goal isn't to tighten the bag afterwards.

If you wanted to try real Nuremberg sausages, come here. Here you can enjoy delicious Röstla and sausages with sauerkraut or potato salad. Everything is delicious and inexpensive. The atmosphere is also cozy and authentic. I recommend this restaurant 👍

Honest review here. We reserved a table for 3 at 4pm, early dinner thinking it was gonna be easy to order. But we were welcomed by a lady who was very cold, after taking ages to ‘verify’ we had a reservation. Even if we didn’t have reservations there were empty tables because it was 4pm! The guy who served us who seemed to be the manager was also cold, rudely pointing finger to my kid’s bottle to be put away from the table. And no he wasn’t serving food at the time to find space to put down plates. We didn’t know what that was all about. The food we ordered were decent. The potato salad was great. The sausages were ok, i didn’t expect too much from a touristy place, we knew we went there for the experience. But we were in and out in 30 minutes that felt like a solid hour. Can’t say I recommend this place. We felt like we were nuisance, my kid didn’t even make a noise but I felt like they disliked anyone who didn’t speak German and have kids. I read some of the reviews, there’s definitely a common theme here.

Super rustic and old restaurant with traditional food and drinks from Franconia, the dishes are served there in the classic way on tin, really original... However, the portions are for children and the pricing spoils the desire to return. And the cheese pan is an insult to any fondue. It's a shame, because the restaurant could be really great.

There were two of us there for the first time, if you are in Nuremberg you have to go there to eat. Absolutely real Nuremberg specialists, I recommend making a table reservation.

Today we spontaneously went to the restaurant because, unknown to us, we live around the corner and stopped in spontaneously. What awaited us there left us speechless. We didn't complain about anything because we won't be going there again, apart from the furnishings and the building there's nothing worth mentioning. The operator's greed is absolutely bottomless! We have never spent so much money on carelessly prepared food with minimalist portions. When the waitress pointed out that there were empty mustard pots at the table, she made a clear, uninterested statement: “They won’t be listed today because you are the last guests.” It smelled of cigarette smoke, which surprised us, after the waitress, who in our opinion also came from the horizontal trade, came down from the upper floor with the ashtray in annoyance after repeated references from a kitchen worker, we had an explanation. All in all, the liver dumpling soup was worth the money, the sauerkraut wasn't sour, it's more like Bavarian cabbage with an overdose of sugar, the plate with 6 bratwursts and two pieces of meat with potato salad is simply not worth the money! We will not visit the location again and advise everyone not to do so!

The world's oldest bratwurst kitchen. The ambience is just beautiful and rare. Here too, the bratwursts are traditionally grilled on open beech charcoal. We enjoyed being here and will come back.

The service is marred by the number of trips to the kitchen if you are upstairs. The welcome of foreign visitors seems to make them especially difficult to understand each other. We are still happy with our experience. We advise you to enjoy and imagine the history of the place. Courage to the waiters. Potato soup, non-existent quantity. I was rejoicing. In the Black Forest it was clearly generous and dense. We must remain in discovery.

Traditional German Franconian restaurant housed in a very historic building. Menu is quite limited for vegetarians or non-pork eaters. Great ambiance, almost like a museum despite many modern renovation elements. Kind, welcoming staff. Flexible with changing menu options. Recommend it for an authentic experience, especially if you're visiting the city/tourists.

The food was very fatty. Apple strudel was warmed up in the microwave. The portions were far too small. 4 sausages, 1 pork fillet and 1/3 sausage for 20€!? I would have expected twice as much. (It cost more than Schäufele in the old town). Unfortunately I won't be coming back despite the pleasant atmosphere and service

If you don't speak German, the waiter there was extremely rude as soon as we spoke English. I have been here for 1.5 years and have never experienced such an incident.

If you are simply looking for a great ambience, you should take a look at the inn. Service is overwhelmed. (Lack of staff?) In order to feed a family with the sausages, you have to order a few portions. If you like it lavish, you've come to the wrong place. In any case, the great ambience is paid for by the price. The food itself isn't worth it.

Today we tried the historical bratwurst kitchen through the Schlemmerblock. The food was super delicious, cheese fondue and bratwursts. The mulled wine was also very good and very good. Unfortunately, the service didn't work out well, after our drink was taken, no one came anymore, the couple that came after us was already eating when someone finally came and took our food. I was asked to hand over the voucher before paying, which I did. We had to go to the service person ourselves when we wanted to pay because no one came, even if we were sitting at the back in the corner, which was annoying. Then the cheaper meal wasn't deducted from the bill because we supposedly didn't give the voucher. After another very long wait, back and forth, we were waived €11.30 and we left. The economy itself is very clockwise and nice to look at.
