A very nice beer garden. A great location on the water, shady on hot days, close to the center. The beer is typically Franconian. The various beer specialties are highly recommended.

The Bootshaus team made our corporate event an absolute highlight. Thank you very much.

Very nice location on the Regnitz River, but the food could have been better value for money. The Kässpätzle were packaged spaetzle with more cream than cheese and pre-fried onions (at least you could make those yourself for that price). The portions could be a bit larger, too. The beer selection is excellent, though! So, it's always worth stopping by for a Seidla (literally, "beer") in the Hain, although the food could be improved.

Charming beer garden! It was recommended to us after a rainy walk. The homemade cakes were all delicious, but unfortunately, the pieces were very uneven in size. The hot drinks were also delicious, and the freshly made cocoa came with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Topped off with a beautiful view.

Very nice beer garden. Quiet location by the water. Reservation possible via internet. Bicycle parking spaces available. Close to the old town. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly. What comes to the table here in a very short time as pan-fried schnitzel for around €18 looks like toast. It was probably finished cooking in the convector mat. The shashlik pot used to be better there too. Too bad! Even the staff speaks with a foreign accent and doesn't understand everything the Franconian says.

Nice atmosphere outside 👍🏻 Snack was good so far. Unfortunately, sausage with music was nothing.. The stock was not sour at all.. just water and oil.. No salt and pepper in it and no vinegar. Fries were delicious too. Chicken nuggets, on the other hand, are less good.

Typical beer garden atmosphere, friendly and fast staff... That's how you could describe it relatively quickly. We even had a little live music from the Stassenmusikant every now and then. The only small drawback is that there is only food after 5 p.m. We were there at lunchtime. There was cake and pretzels. But what the heck. Otherwise everything is rock solid. Can be recommended.

The selection of food, cakes and drinks is good. The landlord sells his home-made red beer, which is very tasty. All in all, a clear recommendation; this is a good place to take a break, especially by bike or on foot.

We spontaneously stopped by here on a Sunday with changeable weather and were able to enjoy a nice little break right by the river. Although the beer garden was only sparsely attended due to the weather, the seats directly at the Regnitz were quickly taken - a clear sign of the special seating atmosphere on site. Especially on sunny days, it may be worth making a reservation if you want a spot right by the water. The dishes were all visually very appealing. In terms of taste, we found the cuisine to be solid. We can also recommend the cakes, which also left a positive impression with a cup of coffee. In my opinion, the service is particularly noteworthy: the staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our entire stay! In summary, a good address to take a short break in a nice atmosphere during a walk.

There has always been a beautiful beer garden right on the Regnitz, in the middle of the Bamberg Grove. The price is therefore rather high for what is offered. The problem: unfortunately the food is not expensive, but average at best. A (vegetarian) beetroot salad for almost €16 consists mostly of leaf lettuce and just a few slices of beetroot, apple, cucumber and tomato. Large portion, but not filling at all. Unfortunately, the rhubarb crumble cake (€4.8) is not fresh and tastes as if it had been stored (uncovered!) in a musty fridge or freezer. The cappuccino is watery and limp. All in all, just under 4 stars. The beautiful view is amazing, but we don't get to eat anymore.

We went to this beautiful beer garden right on the water several times. Both the food and the drinks are really great. Here you won't actually be looked at stupidly if you just want to have a drink (which is probably not always the case in Bamberg). A clear recommendation for both the food and the drinks. Some of the staff are new and that's why it's still a bit bumpy, but that's not a problem at all.

Thank you very much for this great service, beautiful surroundings and the great food, 1x roulade and 1 x mushroom dish with dumplings. But the best thing is that there are senior plates. Full marks, we will definitely be back

Unfortunately, I can only give it one star for the location. The rest... a disaster 🤨 We went to a murder mystery dinner and had been looking forward to it for weeks. Upon arrival, we were initially disappointed by the ambiance. No decorations appropriate to the occasion (we've experienced something different), the tables carelessly set. A bit of decoration in the middle with beer mugs containing cutlery and napkins from the beer garden. Horrible... very inappropriate for the evening. Then the dinner began... The spectacle was more bad than good, difficult to understand, and completely humorless. When the main courses arrived, the disaster was complete. The roulade was gray, the sauce heavy with vinegar, and the potatoes dripping with oil. Others at the table had salmon with fresh spinach... well, the salmon was so dry that it was inedible, and the spinach was a thick mush that pulled strings when eaten. My friend's gnocchi were so hard they cracked when eaten. We called it quits here. €90 per person was clearly too much. To this day, we don't know who the murder victim was, but we suspect it was the cook.

Very nice atmosphere and great view of the river. However, the price/performance ratio was dismaying. The four of us paid a total of over 80 euros. Of these, 2 dishes were dumplings with sauce, 1x schnitzel and 1x salmon dish and apple fritters. The schnitzel was actually inedible for the price, the potatoes in the salmon dish were dark in color and dry. There was exactly 1 dumpling floating in the cup of liver dumpling soup. The vanilla ice cream was out for the apple fritters, so we were given crystallized strawberry ice cream as a substitute. We didn't think the price was justified under the circumstances.

I was there with a large group. Drinks arrived promptly and reordering was never a problem. The main course was pre-ordered, but four were still forgotten. These were passed on when everyone else had already finished and the salmon was dry and no longer rosy. But the starter and dessert were very good. The staff was always friendly and relaxed. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. So all in all a nice relaxing evening.

We recently went to the Boathouse for brunch. I have never had such a good breakfast/lunch buffet with dessert. Family-run restaurant with a great ambience, we will definitely be back 😋

We went to the boathouse for lunch on a Saturday three weeks ago. The online reservation worked well, although it wasn't necessary as the entire dining room was empty. The boathouse is a beautiful location with a view of the river, with a beer garden in summer. I already know from the beer garden that not all dishes are necessarily recommended, as is the case in almost all tourist locations and cellars in Bamberg. We had roast pork in the boathouse, unfortunately one of the worst roasts I've ever had - thickened ready-made sauce, not very seasoned and unfortunately cold. The savoy cabbage tasted good. After I said the food was cold, the service staff brought a new portion, which wasn't really warmer. You almost have to burn yourself on the dumplings at lunch if they are freshly made. The service staff apologized for the criticism with an espresso, which I thought was nice. Unfortunately, overall we sat a bit lost and cool in the large hall, there was no food and so we left quite quickly. The hall was beautifully decorated for Christmas. But unfortunately all the food doesn't come out.

Unfortunately just OK. We were here at lunchtime with a group of 10, with prior reservation. The atmosphere is really nice and when the weather was good we were able to really enjoy the outdoor area. The service was ok, but some of them couldn't understand our language. The beer on offer tastes very good. My starter (pumpkin soup) was very tasty. However, the main course was almost a disaster. Completely tasteless and bland, the sauce tasted like a finished product. The dessert (piece of cake) was OK. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't ask me (as usual) whether everything was OK, otherwise I would have told her. However, perhaps you knew about the current daily output of the kitchen and therefore avoided asking the question. Big drawback for me: We also chose the restaurant because Schäufele was on the online menu. Even the same morning we were there, I looked at the menu online and found Schäufele on the lunch table. This could no longer be found on site in the maps laid out, and there was none when asked. Interesting that you manage to update cards, print them out countless times and distribute them on tables, but not update them online. Conclusion: Actually a good restaurant with a great ambience. There is room for improvement in the service and in the taste and quality of the main courses.

We had our wedding at the Bootshaus in Bamberg and can only warmly recommend the location! The communication in advance was absolutely problem-free, all of our wishes were taken into account, and we felt that we were in good hands with all of our questions and small concerns. On the wedding day itself, everything was wonderfully relaxed. The entire team, especially the waitresses, were super friendly and made every wish possible. We were satisfied and will come back. The location at the foot ensures variety, and every now and then recreational athletes pass by the restaurant. From the Camping Island site you can cycle towards the city center if you keep left on the island and always follow the foot, past the restaurant. Go there.

We were sitting outside. A few colleagues and I after work. I didn't eat anything myself (it was a bit too expensive for me as part of the event, but I don't think these are unusual prices for Bamberg). Regarding the service: the people were normally friendly. A colleague had asked for a slice of bread, but could only have gotten three slices because they could only be billed in that denomination... The staff can't do anything about that, but I don't think the boathouse will go bankrupt straight away. when they give out a slice of bread like that... Especially since one of the three slices of bread that was there when my colleague was plucking it only consisted of bread crust with a huge hole where there should have been dough... I would have objected to that... All of them other dishes were plentiful and apparently tasty. My beer was house brand red beer. It didn't convince me that much, but that's my personal taste. The boathouse is (who would have thought) located directly on the river. The atmosphere is very nice.

Nice facility. Food normal, nothing special. Bicycles are in front of the toilet, even though it says in front of the beer garden that bicycles are not allowed to be parked in the beer garden. Apparently these are the employees' bikes that are actually parked in front of the disabled toilet. This is something to think about.

Beautiful and beautifully located beer garden. I had a coffee here that was actually good quality, but unfortunately it tasted burnt. I suspect the machine is set too hot or hasn't been serviced for a while. Our waitresses were all very young, but they did their job well, even if the overall atmosphere, at least on the day, wasn't that great. The price level is rather high, which was reflected in the audience. It wasn't mine.

A nice destination on the river. Without our tour guide we would not have gotten to see this idyllic place. The food was good and the portion was decent. The beer was sensationally good. The service was brisk. Well attended for a Monday evening (the weather was ideal, not too hot and not too cool). Like many before, I have to confirm the ambience. Simply a dream to enjoy the day or evening. Service is quick and really on point. It doesn't get any better. A mango is part of the meal. e.g. schnitzel with potato salad was made in 5 minutes!!! at the table. Unfortunately, it dried out and became tough due to the long “keep warm”. Meat quality and freshness leave a lot to be desired. The potato salad was a little bland and had little taste. Sorry, but for the price you can expect a little more quality. I'm sure you're working on it...

Real pan schnitzel, great fries, thick and crispy, great Sunday roasts... my guests and I were very excited, also by the great location. And the landlord's home-brewed beer was the cherry on top. We are already looking forward to the outdoor season in the beautiful garden on the Regnitz.

It's a wonderful place to sit right next to the water - and enjoy the atmosphere. The food was great - the dressing on the mixed salad was simply delicious. Very friendly staff and absolutely decent value for money. You should definitely stop here after the tour through the Hainpark.

Very nice beer garden right on the river. We were able to get a table twice directly on the bank and watch the rowers train. The Weiherer lager beer from the Steinkrug tasted delicious! I would particularly like to highlight Ahmed as the waitress, very nice and always good for a tip, keyword Weiherer Hopfenweizen. I can't rate the food, but it was just the usual beer garden food, there's certainly better in Bamberg.
