Beautiful beer garden. Located close to the water. To relax, good delicious food. Also vegetarian dishes. Large selection of beers. Prices are okay. On weekends you should reserve a table. Very fast and friendly staff.

First of all the service was good and friendly. The food was absolutely mediocre. The boss and his followers sat at the next table the whole time with a not very friendly expression. For all the bohai that is done on the internet, you could expect to say a friendly good evening, goodbye, etc. when you walk past the table. We don't know anything like that.

We found the boathouse by chance after walking the dogs in the park. The kitchen was very tasty on two visits with 4 dishes each and the price/quantity was right for us.

Like many before, I have to confirm the ambience. Simply a dream to enjoy the day or evening. Service is quick and really on point. It doesn't get any better. A mango is part of the meal. e.g. schnitzel with potato salad was made in 5 minutes!!! at the table. Unfortunately, it dried out and became tough due to the long “keep warm”. Meat quality and freshness leave a lot to be desired. The potato salad was a little bland and had little taste. Sorry, but for the price you can expect a little more quality. I'm sure you're working on it...

The boathouse is beautifully located on the Regnitz next to the Hainbad and the park. There is also a nice playground nearby. The food was good and the house light beer “bernd das bier” is going well. Only the waitresses weren't that attentive when you wanted to reorder drinks

Real pan schnitzel, great fries, thick and crispy, great Sunday roasts... my guests and I were very excited, also by the great location. And the landlord's home-brewed beer was the cherry on top. We are already looking forward to the outdoor season in the beautiful garden on the Regnitz.

Our answer to the question of whether everything was okay: the snack plate, yes, but the shish kebab pot was pretty tight, so it was definitely not enough to fill you up and also too expensive - we were then told that there's nothing I can do about that... Next time we'll go to a beer garden in one of the breweries again!

It's a wonderful place to sit right next to the water - and enjoy the atmosphere. The food was great - the dressing on the mixed salad was simply delicious. Very friendly staff and absolutely decent value for money. You should definitely stop here after the tour through the Hainpark.

Das absolute Plus ist die Lage an der Regnitz - entspannt chillen, Leute beobachten und etwas Gutes trinken. Kulinarischer Hochgenuss gehört leider nicht dazu, aber guter Biergarten-Durchschnitt.

Very nice beer garden right on the river. We were able to get a table twice directly on the bank and watch the rowers train. The Weiherer lager beer from the Steinkrug tasted delicious! I would particularly like to highlight Ahmed as the waitress, very nice and always good for a tip, keyword Weiherer Hopfenweizen. I can't rate the food, but it was just the usual beer garden food, there's certainly better in Bamberg.

Bernd, the beer is nice. The beer garden lives from its ambience. The food is OK and the service too. But it's not enough for 5 stars.

The service is noticeably quick, as several people distribute the drinks and food you have ordered and you don't sit in front of empty glasses for long. The culinary offering is good, but unfortunately changes in the composition are not possible. I wanted the boathouse plate without a press bag - unfortunately that's not possible. So the location is nice and located by the river. The service is nice and, depending on how busy it is, fast. But I can't give more than two stars (value for money) because, in my opinion, the (food) prices are excessive. For a side salad or a portion of sauerkraut, almost 5 euros each... Sorry guys, that's not possible. Fair prices are ok, but you've gone overboard, especially because the food is good, but the portions aren't huge by any stretch of the imagination.

The food was great as well as the drinks, the staff was very friendly and everything went quickly and easily… You could watch the football game from every spot, which was also great here. Stay as you are, that's the right thing to do and don't let negative comments about your staff influence you - you don't need guests like that. We will always send you our hotel guests. We celebrated our wedding in the boathouse and are overjoyed with this decision. A lot of consideration was given to wishes during the planning stage. The decoration was breathtaking and the buffet was super delicious. The service staff was very courteous and friendly. Thank you for this unforgettable day with you in the boathouse

A nice beer garden! Unfortunately the food wasn't that great. My cheese spaetzle was missing the cheese (it was more of a cream sauce) and the salad was missing the dressing. The service could be more attentive. I wouldn't recommend the place. This was confirmed to me by locals in Bamberg's old town the evening after our visit there. A pity ....

The food was a total failure, no, a real disaster! And half the beer costs €4.50, a no-go here in Franconia. Every housewife can do this much better, 0 points for price/performance. Never again, promise 🙈

Also, das war ja Mal gar nichts! Völlig überteuertes Essen und die halbe Bier 4,50€! Denen scheint Corona völlig in den Kopf gestiegen zu sein. Von Qualität kann man da erst Mal gar nicht sprechen. Das Personal in der Küche scheint gar keine Ahnung von der Zubereitung von Speisen zu haben. Für mich steht fest: Nie wieder, das hat NULL Niveau und ist wucherteuer. Frank Rosin würde sagen: Das könnt Ihr Euren Gästen nicht zumuten, jede Hausfrau kann das besser👎

My wife and I celebrated our wedding in the boathouse in June 2024. It was perfect down to the smallest detail. The ambience on the Regnitz is of course a dream. We live in Bamberg and have been coming to the boathouse for several years. The beer is great, the view of the water is tempting (especially for the kids) and generally everyone there is very friendly and well organized. Good Franconian cuisine and good dishes for vegetarians/vegans I think. When looking for a good location for our celebration, we quickly chose the boathouse. The hall and bar are in top, new condition. We really liked the opportunity to spontaneously sit outside for coffee/cake when the weather was good and in general we felt very well looked after by the couple who ran it. Everything fit together very well. The preparations were very professional, personal and completed quickly. Mela knows what she's doing and gave us a good schedule, which - however she figured it out so quickly - suited us perfectly. Decoration, table organization, drinks and food coordination, space for childcare/sleeping, etc. - everything was great. The actual celebration took place outdoors and then indoors in the best weather. The buffet was top notch. Really all the guests were very enthusiastic about the selection and especially the quality. We had everything with us: meat, fish, seafood, and first of all a completely outstanding vegan soup (I'm the complete opposite of a vegan and I could have bathed in it). I passed up dessert because I overfed it, but my wife and the other guests were very happy here too. The midday night snack with a fabulous cheese platter should be a must for all future brides and grooms at the Bootshaus. Extended the party by another two hours. The bar team was great too. Fast, friendly and forgiving when the groom had a minor accident ;-) They had everything well under control at all times. Buffett, drinks replenishment etc. everything was top notch. I would recommend the photo box to everyone. Especially the GIF function. Legend. The photos will still make us laugh 30 years from now. A company was recommended to us for lighting and sound. The facility was great. At a later hour we had it at about 3/4 of the volume and it really boomed. Lighting effects were light-to-sound and great too. We started without a DJ or band and had prepared playlists etc. Not because of the budget, but just because we wanted to do our own thing. Was just right for us. I put together an iPad and go. All together 1+ with stars without deductions Many thanks again to Mela, Bernd and the entire Bootshaus team for this unforgettable day!

The location on the Regnitz is very nice. The beer garden definitely deserves 5 stars. There's nothing wrong with the service either. Super nice and on the ball. But the food, well. For the price you can expect much better! Food was at the table 4 to 7 minutes after ordering. Hot and cold dishes. The question then arises: is the food freshly prepared? The portion size in relation to the price is well... You just pay tourist prices for the location on the water

Tourist attractions like these are of course an eye-catcher, but you should also pay attention to the surrounding areas such as service and price/performance!

We recently went to this restaurant as a group and discovered that we were apparently being too loud, which was signaled to us by the staff for no reason. That really dampened the mood. In addition, the food was mediocre and unfortunately did not meet our expectations. Overall a disappointing visit.

Very inflexible!! Eating is only possible from 5 p.m. No food order possible at 4:54 p.m. When asked if the service would come back in 4 minutes, the answer was no. Shift change!! This isn't any fun anymore. Since my restaurant was your restaurant there, my operators have been able to serve you without any effort. I would recommend that every guest think first about whether they want to visit the boathouse. We then left without eating.

This restaurant has always been a highlight for me when visiting Bamberg! Nice location, great ambience with large portions and very fair prices. But the prices have now become so brutally expensive that I have to think twice about visiting this restaurant again. A simple Viennese-style pan schnitzel costs 19 euros here. That borders on Munich conditions. An Obazda costs an incredible 13 euros with just 2 mini balls. I'm just at a loss for words.

We had our wedding reception in the boathouse. 1. Organizing in advance: Clear communication, no vague talk. Lots of options and party supplies to choose from. The boss lives it and feels it. Clear communication should therefore not be misunderstood. It is extremely important to her that the day is perfect. And it's not her wedding. Hats off to you for this effort. 2. Commutation during planning: Always available, always with an open ear. 3. the celebration: The boss (his own beers are very tasty, please try my favorite is the light one) is a great guy and brings a lot of calm to the shop. The boss is the head of the celebration, knew all the processes and knew how things worked. The service was always very nice and sufficient; we never had to wait if we wanted to order something. (We were 90 people). Picking up your own things the next day was completely relaxed. I take my hat off to this location and the whole organization behind it - a perfect evening on a perfect day with a perfect woman. Thank you for everything and keep it up!!!

We were there on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, some of the food was disappointing. Some of the dishes like the curry were very tasty, but other dishes like the baked feta or the lentil stew were rather disappointing. In my opinion, the size and quality did not match the price. Furthermore, the service left something to be desired and the beer garden closed at 8 p.m. and not at 10 p.m. as posted.

Beautiful garden in the middle of the grove and right on the water. Unfortunately, the service was completely lackluster and, despite the almost empty tables, we had to wait forever until the lady wanted to serve us.

Reservation for 25 people canceled 2 hours before the appointment - not very professional...

Unfortunately there was no hot food at that time (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.). With so many visitors, a lot of food could have been sold, but I understand that the kitchen also needs rest. Otherwise, the quality will understandably decrease, as is often the case elsewhere. It's definitely worth a visit and I'll come back.

The Bootshaus restaurant is a beautiful location in the middle of the grove and right on the water. It's not just a visit to the beer garden that's worth it... We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate our wedding here. From the first contact to our big day, everything went wonderfully. We always felt like we were in good hands and all of our wishes were taken into account. The celebration actually exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have imagined a better wedding 💕. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff, incredibly delicious food. Many/almost all of the dishes were prepared vegan for us. We had many guests who traveled a long way and everyone was thrilled! The beer tasting offered was also very well received. Many thanks to Mela, Bernd and the entire Bootshaus team for this unforgettable day!

Nicely located but a salad for €10.50, which consists of a few green leaves, 2 eighths of tomatoes, 2 strips of pepper and 2 dry baguette slices, is definitely too expensive!!! I won't eat there anymore!

My rating is based on today's visit, we always enjoyed going to the boathouse, but today we were unfortunately disappointed. The good thing first, we found a place straight away. After about 20 minutes of waiting for a condition, we found out that there wasn't one this year and that we had to help ourselves, which wasn't a problem in itself, but we wished it had been written down somewhere, as it's never been like that before. After ordering the drinks, I unfortunately discovered that the apple juice spritzer had a hint of apple in it, it was actually just water with a tiny bit of apple juice in it. It tasted terrible, nothing half and nothing whole. When I ordered the strawberry cake, I thought I would be hit, a small piece for 4.90 euros... If I had known beforehand how much it would cost, I would have left it... Unfortunately, we have been used to much better things from the boathouse so far, today Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing.

Lemongrass soup: - very thin Duck with dumpling & sauce for €23: - Extremely small portions (children's portion) - 2 x mini dumplings (diameter approx. 4cm) - 1 x mini piece of meat (approx. 7cm x 4cm x 2 cm) - Unfortunately, the savoy cabbage was a bit flour-heavy Polenta with grilled vegetables for around €14: - came to our table very lukewarm to cold Water bottle: - I was first shown the cheap one and then sold the expensive one... Unfortunately, one person was billed incorrectly when billing... (€50 was paid too much) Wanted to clarify, but the staff wasn't really customer oriented. Conclusion: Unfortunately the staff was very unmotivated. Overall a classic rip off.

The boathouse in the grove with its beer garden directly on the Regnitz is simply beautiful. A place on the Regnitz invites you to linger. There is good Franconian beer, and the house-made Helle, named after the landlord BERND, tastes very good. The selection of food is considerable, but there are also very good cakes. The service staff are all very friendly and the landlady always tries to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The beer garden is self-service, but everything goes very quickly. We were thrilled and would love to come back. Great 👍👍👍👍👍

The menus displayed do not contain any price information. A portion of fries 6.90. 6.90 for fries! And I'll get them myself!

I had a lamb's lettuce with sheep's cheese that I had to look for 🤔 The three slices of baguette like rubber and that for 16.90 € 😳 Kaischerschmarrn 9.50 € sorry The finished product was unfortunately nothing. The Cordon Bleu 18.90 € from the deep fryer 🙄 works not at all. It's a real shame, I would have expected more. But the staff was very friendly, but that was really the only positive. I'm sorry for the review but I had to get this off my chest.

Waren zum großen Brunch im Bootshaus, es gab eine riesige Auswahl und das Essen war sehr reichhaltig und lecker, außer die italienischen Vorspeisen die waren jetzt nicht so der Knüller. Das Service Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und es war ein wunderschönes Ambiente das zum verweilen Einläd. Wir waren dort als Mädelsgruppe und haben uns jetzt schon vor genommen das nächste Mal wieder zu kommen.

Es war hier schön an der Rednitz zu sitzen und einen Pott Cafe mit einer Käse Sahne Torte zu genießen.

Ein wunderschöner Ort nur leider sehr schlecht organisiert. Am Wasser gelegen, gemütlich mit vielen Sonnenschirmen die Schatten spenden. Typisches Biergartenflair, nur leider hat es davon gar nichts. Wir waren kurz nach 14 Uhr da, der Biergarten war ca. 1/3 gefüllt. Es gibt hier keine Selbstbedienung, also haben wir uns durch die Karte gekämpft und ca. 15 Minuten darauf gewartet das wir unsere Bestellung abgeben konnten. Eine lange Wartezeit für die doch wenigen Gäste. Dann wurde uns mitgeteilt das es zwischen 14-17 Uhr nur Kuchen gibt. Schade! In einem wunderschönen Biergarten und es gibt nachmittags nichts zu Essen. Wie wäre es mit Kleigkeiten, Obazda, Wurstsalat, Presssack,... macht nicht viel Arbeit, kann man vorbereiten und man kann auch am Nachmittag was anbieten. Und ich denke das man so auch noch mehr Gäste anziehen kann, hungrige Radfahrer, Wanderfreunde oder Menschen die nicht schon 13 Uhr Mittag essen wollen. Auch die Karte sollte man überarbeiten, in so einem schönem Ambiente, mit zu wenig überforderten Personal, braucht man doch keine reine Restaurant-Speisekarte, sondern etwas Biergartentypisches! Man sollte sich doch daran erinnern das man immer noch in Bayern ist! Die Touristen kommen doch auch deswegen nach Bamberg und finden leider nichts davon vor! Sehr sehr enttäuschend! Man könnte soviel daraus machen! Leider sind die wir wieder hungrig gegangen!

Eine tolle Location, die man mal besucht haben sollte. Leider war es zu kalt aber ich kann es mir sehr lauschig im Biergarten vorstellen.

Echt tolle Lage am Fluss mit schönen Biergarten. Essen ist fein. Parkplätze sind da aber Fußweg von der Stadt ist kurz und sehr schön.

Total schön zum Sitzen. Muss etwas anstehen für Essen und Trinken. Aber das Selbstgebraute, speziell das Nordic Red, ist superlecker.

Das Bootshaus liegt wunderschön am Seitenarm der Regnitz und das Ambiente ist da hervorragend. Es ist Selbstbedienung......aber nicht schlimm, auch keine lange Wartezeit. Und es schmeckt lecker 😋:-))) wir werden es auf jedem Fall wieder besuchen.
