Highly recommended - even with children (large playground)

Excellent place for a fun night. Great atmosphere, packed with locals, and we were lucky to be there when a local trio Oompah band were playing inside. Huge outside seating area too but due to the weather and the hour we stayed inside. Superb beers and tankards.

Beautiful beer garden. Numerous places under shady trees. The bar is absolutely iconic. A pleasant atmosphere, which is complemented by music events from time to time (it's worth taking a look at the homepage before visiting). The food offers traditional French cuisine in a very tasty way.

Hier ist noch die alte Biergartenkultur spürbar. Negativ: lange Wartezeiten an der Essensausgabe, viele Speisen dann ausverkauft; positiv: Bier 3,90, Speisen mit Nürbergern zu 8,60 moderat. Wenig Touristen.

Sehr schöner schattiger Biergarten. Von der Bamberger Altstadt über einen Fußweg gut zu erreichen. Allerdings befindet er sich oben auf dem Stefansberg, dadurch ist ein leichter Anstieg zu bewältigen. Was sich in jedem Fall lohnt. Die Preise sind absolut moderat. Sehr gut gefiel uns, dass man auch mitgebrachte Speisen verzehren darf, so etwas ist nicht selbstverständlich. In den Steinkrügen bleiben die Getränke angenehm kühl. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Pure disappointment for regular customers... We visited Wilden Rose around lunchtime today. Together we prepared for a lovely birthday afternoon with cake, coffee and warm food from the restaurant. What sounded so wonderful unfortunately ended with us having to leave the restaurant early. We had prepared. With cake in one hand, hats on our heads and a good mood on our faces, we spread out comfortably in the outside area of ​​the restaurant. Although we have been guests in the restaurant for quite a while and have brought cakes with us in previous years, we had informed ourselves in advance so as not to cause any inconvenience with the service. Checked online and confirmed. However, despite all this, there were inconveniences. We had forgotten our cutlery (plates and forks) at home. In order not to have to drive home unnecessarily white and get our own cutlery, we decided to ask the service if we could borrow a fork and plate for our cake. A nice waitress then told us it was no problem. But without any premonition, another lady jumped out from the back corner of the kitchen. She wanted to make it clear to me that it was not allowed to give out plates and cutlery without accepting them. The waitress looked at me with fury until I responded to her demands: “Fifteen euros for ten plates.” It was a beautiful day and a celebratory occasion, which is why I agreed to pay the €15 fee. Naturally, I asked if I could still have the fork now. Without warning, the waitress spoke to me again: "Fifteen euros for 10 forks." Besides noting that her vocabulary was that of a 10 year old, I wanted to ask again if that wasn't a little too much for 10 forks and 10 plates. No, was the only answer that the money-obsessed Golum could give me. Without arguing any further, we packed our things and left.

Nice beer garden without smoked beer. Self-service is quick, sometimes when you arrive at rush hour it takes a while to get ahead in the queue. Food mixed: the snacks are good, fried foods (schnitzel/fries) are also good, unfortunately bratwursts are pre-cooked. Potato salad is out of the bucket and absolutely inedible. It's best to avoid turkey strips on salad or baked potatoes. But the ambience is nice and once you have tried it and found out “your” food, you can have a very nice time.

Eine enorm breite Bierauwahl (Keesmann, Schlenkerla, eigenes Kellerbier und Vierzehnheiligen Nothelfer Bio-Weisse) - alles vom Fass! Essen kann man natürlich mitbringen, was auch stark wahrgenommen wird. Es gibt aber auch Brotzeit und warme Gerichte zu kaufen. Nur der Aufstieg zum Keller will bewältigt werden...

Teilweise genervte, gestresste Bedienungen.....das Essen nur Durchschnitt....aber trotzdem ein sehr schöner Keller.....auch mit Kindern....
