First-class sushi, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere

Ein Jahr nach unserem letzten Besuch im L.A. Jordan wählten wir wieder das viergängige „Überraschungsmenü“. Der Preis zum Vorjahr war gleich geblieben, dafür fiel ein Amuse weg und die Gänge erschienen uns diesmal miniaturisiert, was die eigentliche Überraschung für uns war. Die Rotbarbe war winzigst und das Perlhuhn war ebenso sparsam portioniert. Etwas „Sättigung“ fehlte mangels Beilagen; diese Aufgabe hatte das Brot zu übernehmen. Die zweite Portion schlägt mit 12,50 € zu Buche. Etwas überraschend war, dass der Wan Tan Sud und die Soßen nicht entfettet kamen, sondern sich mit entsprechenden Augen präsentierten. Geschmacklich war’s gut; der Meerbarbe und dem Dessert geben wir unsere persönlichen 2 Sterne, ansonsten eher einen. Eine Buchtel zum Abschluss braucht unsereins jedoch nicht zum wiederholten Male. Der von Buhl‘sche Reserve Wein war wiederum Spitze, zumal er im Laden längst vergriffen ist. Der angenehme Service agierte tadellos und das besondere Ambiente des Restaurants gefällt uns sehr… wenn da nur nicht diese Kleinlichkeit bei den Portionen wäre.

After a beautiful, full day in the Palatinate with delicious Palatinate wine, the five of us returned to the Kirchenstübl hungry and satisfied. We had five different main courses and two different desserts and everything was completely convincing, which is rare. We give it 5 stars with a clear conscience!

Everything was fine, but the homemade bratwurst tasted like black cumin to me. Seems to be in, but has no Palatinate touch.

Price/performance was not justified Service was ok Food was poor in 6 out of 3 Not again at this price!!!

Highly recommended restaurant in Deidesheim. We appreciate the uncomplicated atmosphere and the great food. The wines from our own winery go well with the high-quality cuisine.

For me a piece of home. Great food in a beautiful place. Great people who are very close to you. You come in as strangers and you leave as friends, you just have to be open like the people of Palatinate 😄

Good restaurant with delicious wine. Unfortunately some varieties are empty. Menu could be a little more extensive.

We were very pleasantly surprised – both the food and the service exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. The staff was attentive and friendly. We definitely recommend this restaurant and will gladly come back again!

A lovely experience from start to finish! Even though there were only two of us and we had lunch rather spontaneously, we were warmly welcomed. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu is clear, but still very sophisticated: Palatinate classics (sausage stomach, liver dumplings...) but also other unusual dishes (black feather chicken with morel sauce). Everything very tasty! Large selection of great, mostly local, wines. Price/performance more than okay. Happy to come back!
