Weingut Georg Siben Erben in Deidesheim

After making an appointment in advance, the owner informed us upon arrival that he wasn't available. He remembered the appointment well, but he wasn't bothered and confirmed that he was. This was unheard of for a VDP winery where we, as wine enthusiasts, are normally greeted with great enthusiasm.

The atmosphere was very unpleasant. There was shouting behind the counter, and a woman (apparently) shouted at the owner loudly and aggressively. Very unprofessional. The food arrived quickly, but my order wasn't particularly tasty (the duck was bloody but still tough). The wines were good. The selection was limited to Rieslings. Certainly recommended for less demanding dishes.

The boss was annoyed, and that, and the food was overpriced. The food wasn't that great. I had the Palatinate plate. The bratwurst was way too tough. The saumagen was almost burnt. The liver dumpling was the best of all. When I think of a good restaurant, I expect a good, well-rounded staff, good prices, good food, and a wide selection. There's not much selection there, which is a shame.

During our vacation in Deidesheim, we ate there this evening. We were greeted very warmly by a young man who recommended several dishes from the menu. We were not disappointed: we had beef carpaccio for starters, followed by ox cheeks and duck. Everything was perfect; we'll definitely be back next time we vacation here. Great service and excellent food.

We returned to the restaurant after a long break. We were more than disappointed. We had beef broth as an appetizer. It was almost completely unseasoned with two small marrow dumplings that were doughy and flavorless. The bratwurst and liver dumplings were a complete disaster. The sauerkraut was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were tasteless. The side dishes for the fish were also overcooked and served in a deep plate. All in all, the restaurant visit was a complete disappointment. Never again!

Super delicious, highly recommended. 1x Pfälzer Saugen (a kind of 'sucking' dish) and 1x Leberknödel (liver dumplings), each with cabbage and mashed potatoes. Dessert was fantastic: chocolate crème brulee with moist chocolate cakes. The rosé wine was so delicious that we immediately bought a case. We'll definitely be back.

Simply fantastic. We've been here several times, and for us, it's a must-visit on every vacation in the Palatinate! The food is always delicious, the service is always great, and the ambiance is simply unbeatable. Great wines and super fair prices! We'd love to come back!

We each had a starter, a main course, and shared a dessert. Aside from the duck being a little tough and not crispy on the outside, everything was simply delicious and perfect! A young man served us superbly; he even poured and served everything from the right side. You don't see that very often these days. The homemade pomace was also excellent. A wonderful stay I'd love to come back anytime!

Beautiful restaurant in a cozy vault, very nice and polite staff and the food was extremely tasty. We (10 people) were all thrilled, from the wine to the starter, the main course and the dessert. I'll definitely come back because the lamb's lettuce and the ox cheeks were exceptionally good.

The service was nice, humorous and attentive. The food (gnocchi and side salad) was delicious. Still, I wanted some salt; apparently the restaurant only has one salt shaker that everyone has to share. The wine was ok and inexpensive. Unkempt atmosphere, especially the women's toilet. However, the food and service can make up for this.

Bei unserem letzten Besuch im Juli 24 hatten wir gleich vor Ort nochmals für Dezember 24 reserviert; große Frage: ob das wohl klappen wird? - aber ohne Probleme hat unsere Reservierung tatsächlich bestanden und wir haben einen Tisch bekommen. Die jungen, aufmerksamen Servicekräfte haben sofort Speise- und Getränkekarte verteilt und wir konnten in aller Ruhe auswählen. Vorspeise: Rinderbrühe mit Markklößchen und Flädle und Carpaccio vom Rind mit Parmesan - beides ausgezeichnet. Hauptspeise: Medaillon vom Hirsch mit Kürbisgnocchi und Rahmwirsing und Hirschbraten aus der Keule mit Knödel und Rotkraut. Dazu auf Empfehlung einen Cabernet Sauvignon - perfekt. Qualität und Preis/Leistung perfekt. Gerne wieder

Finally, after several attempts on different days, someone answered the phone. They wanted to pass my question on to the boss, unfortunately there was no conversation because the phone call was interrupted (was it interrupted?). I called again immediately afterwards and no one answered the phone. As I had done several times before, I answered the answering machine and, as always, did not receive a call back. The gentleman who initially answered the phone also seemed very rude and unfriendly.

I wanted to make a business reservation for a group of 16 people, I was promised a call back twice but never received it and there was no response to my written request via the contact form on the homepage. We decided differently - I can do without the service.

Here you can enjoy very good, home-style cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. The venison medallions were fried to perfection, the side dishes, pumpkin gnocchi, chestnuts and a stuffed savoy cabbage roll were original and tasty. The price-performance ratio is right, the bottle of Riesling Erste Lage from our own production - a fruity, typical representative of this grape variety - not only tasted excellent but was also inexpensive in the sense of the word. The service was friendly.

I can't rate the food, only the wine sales! I ordered wine a month ago and received a confirmation, but the wine never arrived. Despite asking and saying “he’s going out tomorrow,” which was already 14 days ago. Therefore 1 star for customer service, even though the house wines are really strong. Too bad……

Here you can enjoy valuable VDP GROSSE GWÄCHSE. Great Rieslings at sensationally low prices (approx. 30 euros/bottle). The dishes are without any hocus-pocus, very tasty prepared and attractively served. Even without a reservation, the boss gave us a friendly welcome and organized a table. Wonderful ambience in the inner courtyard, excellent food and our own, very tasty wines. And all at a fair price! Only recommended!

Am letzten Abend unseres Urlaubes in der Pfalz ging es diesemal wieder zum Weingut Georg Siben Erben. Wir hatten vorher telefonisch reserviert und somit keine Probleme einen schönen Platz an den großen Tischen zu bekommen. Die beiden jungen, flotten Bedienungen haben uns gleich mit Wasser und hauseigenem Riesling versorgt. Wir haben uns für ein Carpaccio vom Rind mit Parmesan und ein Bärlauchsüppchen mit Garnele als Vorspeise entschieden. Zum Hauptgang wählten wir die Spargelkomposition mit Kalbssteak und die Poulardenbrust mit Beilagen - sämtliche Essen waren hervorragend. Wir hatten den Eindruck, daß die Speisekarte, gegenüber unserem letzten Besuch, erheblich erweitert worden ist und so sicherlich für Jeden etwas dabei ist. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hervorragend, Ambiente und Service top. Für Dez.24 haben wir bereits gleich wieder reserviert, wenn wir unseren nächsten Kurzurlaub in der Pfalz antreten.

You can sit very nicely in the courtyard, the staff is very friendly. I can't say anything about the price because I was invited. The food was excellent.

The food was very tasty, as were the wines. To our annoyance, there was only one salt and pepper shaker, which the whole restaurant had to share and which was passed around by the service staff. Actually impossible at a renowned restaurant! (A menage on every table is not too much to ask) The menus also did not correspond to the prevailing standard (even in snack bars). These were neither laminated nor bound or anything like that. Grease and wine stains greeted us. There were no ice cubes either. However, the biggest shock awaited us in the women's toilet. There was an unmistakably large black spot on the ceiling (probably mold)... we didn't want to go to these places a second time... our health was too expensive for us... It's a shame, because the courtyard and the location have so much potential.

The food was very tasty. Just as you wish. The atmosphere was very quaint and cozy.

Simply great! We were here a little later in the afternoon (Sunday) after a hike in Deidesheim. We sat in the inner courtyard - an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. Very nice (and unfortunately a bit slow) service. We ordered the Palatinate favorite dish and Riesling. Unfortunately, when we ordered another wine, no new glass was brought to us, but the old one was used again. In addition, our food order didn't find its way into the kitchen, so we got the food after all the other guests. About 1 hour after arrival. Of course that wasn't meant to be, but it was made up for by the extremely courteous service and accommodating the bill. Other restaurants should follow this approach to customers as an example. Simply handled brilliantly. Great - we'll happily come back despite the late meal. And the fact that customers come back is actually the greatest proof of quality. Keep it up!

Alle vier Essen auf hohem sehr gutem bürgerlichen Niveau. Besonders das Zanderfilet auf Blattspinat, mit Reis als Beilage. Der Zander einsame Spitze zum einen super Preis - Leistung - Verhältnis ***! Freundlicher Service und auch im "Gewölbe" eine angenehme Ambiente.

4 Tage in Deidesheim, 3 mal davon bei Herrn Sieben. Es ist einfach so, dass hier Preis Leistung stimmt. Ob Zander, Charolais Rind, Kalbsmaultaschen, alles sehr sehr gut. Ein Muss ist das Schoko Dessert. Alles nicht auf Sterne Niveau, aber auf höchstem gut bürgerlichen Niveau und das ganze zu sehr fair kalkulierten Preisen. Alle Bedienungen waren sehr nett und sehr bemüht. Vielen Dank gerne wieder.

We were there for dinner with a total of 6 people. We were all happy with the food, service and ambience. The service was attentive, quick and courteous. The food was brought quickly and the portions were large. Anyone who likes original Palatinate specialties will find a large selection here.

The atmosphere in the former horse stable is very beautiful and extraordinary. Unfortunately, given the extreme outside temperatures, it was a bit cold in the dining room. What bothered me a bit were the many cobwebs in the window reveals. I also think it would be nice if the staff had a more professional appearance by wearing appropriate clothing. That would enhance the overall impression. The food was very good and visually appealing, the wine selection was as expected and varied.

Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal in der Gutsküche zum Essen, aber bestimmt zum letzten Mal. Wir hatten 4 x Gans - 2 x Keule und 2 x Brust. Die Teller, auf denen das Essen serviert wurde, waren so heiß, dass der Verdacht nahe lag, dass das Essen auf dem Teller erwärmt worden ist. Alle "Gänse" waren zäh und sehr trocken, das Fleisch ließ sich kaum vom Knochen lösen. Wir haben dies auch der Bedienung gesagt. Eine Reaktion erfolgte nicht. Schade.

Was sollen wir noch schreiben, wir haben volle Punktzahl gegeben da können wir nichts mehr drauf setzen. Wir kommen aus NRW und leider können wir nicht dort öfters Essen gehen.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit tollem Essen. Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen und der Wein waren excellent, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und das Ambiente im „Pferdestall“ sehr gut. Die Speisen als auch die Weine waren vom Preis / Leistungsverhältnis extrem gut. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant in Deidesheim.

Tolles Restaurant mit super leckerem Essen, Service hängt ein wenig hinterher. Leider schimmelt im Damenklo die komplette Decke, was nicht sein kann wenn 120€ Weine auf der Karte stehen. Trotzdem ein schöner Abend!!

Sehr schönes Lokal, mit wenig Aufwand könnte man das ein oder andere noch optimieren

Das Wetter ließ es nicht zu im Hof zu speisen. Der Innenbereich war recht laut und nicht gemütlich. Der Service ist leider nicht geschult. Die Vorspeise war lecker, das Schweinekotlett leider nicht. In Deidesheim ist die Konkurrenz groß - wir gehen das nächste Mal lieber woanders hin.

Ich muss es nicht nochmal haben. Essen( Wildschwein Sauerbraten) sehr trocken und kaum essbar. Sehr laut im Restaurant obwohl es nicht voll war. Wirkt alles etwas ungepflegt. Von mir keine Weiterempfehlung leider!

Sehr schöner Außenbereich, der Innenhof. Auch das Gewölbe ist sehr schön. Der Inhaber und seine Mitarbeiter geben sehr viel Mühe. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder, am liebsten im Sommer.

Authentisch und sehr lecker mit top historischen VDP Wein

Das findet man nur noch selten: Ein unverfälschtes Ambiente unter Schirmen im Innenhof, eine kreative Speisekarte mit bezahlbaren Preisen, eine gute Weinauswahl dazu und ein Service, der funktioniert. Ein sehr schöner Abend für meine Gäste und mich.

UnFreundlichkeit. Service Wüste. Haben es nicht nötig die Gäste wie normale Menschen zu behandeln. Der Wirt scheint ein massives Alkoholproblem zu haben. Kann ich nur abraten. Einmal und nie wieder. Widerlich Mein Tipp an die Besitzer. Lasst euch euer LehrGeld zurückzahlen. Eine Schande für die Zunft!!!

Man muss aufpassen, dass man den Eingang an der Weinstr. nicht übersieht. Doch im Innenhof findet man ein ansprechendes Ambiente. Feines aber nicht übertriebenes Tischarangement. Sehr freundliches und unkompliziertes Personal, wahrscheinlich die jungen InhaberInnen. Gruß aus der Küche und das Essen (Pfälzer Teller} ein Genuss. Der trockene Weiße passte mega dazu. Jederzeit wieder 🥲👍 PS Den Kombi aus dem Eingangsbereich nehmen. Passt gar nicht.

Sehr schön gesessen und gegessen

Wir gehen sehr oft Essen, aber noch nie ist uns so eine unseriöse Geschichte passiert, wie hier. Wir hatten vor Monaten für kommenden Freitag einen Tisch für vier Personen im Weingut Siben zum Abendessen reserviert. Extra sehr viele Wochen vorher, weil wir wussten, dass in Deidesheim Weinfest ist und alle Restaurants zeitig ausgebucht sind. Heute, also acht Tage vorher, werden wir vom Restaurant angerufen und unser vorher von Siben zugesagter Tisch wird uns gecancelt mit den Worten, die Gesellschaft, die bei uns auch reserviert hat, hat die Personenzahl aufgestockt, leider müssen wir Ihnen den zugesagten Tisch stornieren. Noch nie ist uns so ein gastunfreundliches Verhalten begegnet. Das Essen kann noch so gut sein, dass Ambiente vielleicht schön, aber so etwas ist ein No Go. So geht man nicht mit Gästen um. Geld und Umsatz ist nicht alles, Korrektheit und Zuverlässigkeit zeichnet gute Geschäftsleute aus. Sehr enttäuschend.

Wir hatten als Hochzeitsgesellschaft hier ein Abendessen gebucht. Angefangen mit der Tischordnung, die Anstelle der zwei langen Tafeln, die wir bestellt hatten, Gruppen von 5er-Tischen war, lief es nur schief. Die Mitarbeiter:innen waren überfordert und/oder schlecht gelaunt und unhöflich, das Essen maximal durchschnittlich (vor allem das „Rump Steak“ erinnerte stark an eine zähe Schuhsohle) und der Service durchweg schlecht. Jeder Gast erhielt zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten sein Essen, auch unter Gästen am selben Tisch, es wurden falsche Gerichte serviert und es gab keine Entschuldigung von Seiten des Personals, was sowieso den ganzen Abend über sehr unaufmerksam war - nach Getränken zum Beispiel wurde nach der initialen Bestellung nicht mehr gefragt. Für ein nicht gerade preisgünstiges Restaurant, welches an Hochzeitsgesellschaften wie der Unseren sehr gutes Geld verdient, doch sehr enttäuschend.

Super Ambiente, Innenhof mit Flair, aufmerksame Bedienungen und sehr gutes Essen. Und nebenbei: der Wein ist auch empfehlenswert 😎

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Service lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig. Man benötigt etwas Geduld. Auch der Wein ist nicht richtig durchgekühlt. Hier ist noch etwas Verbesserungspotential. Ambiente: Im Innenhof ist es fantastisch und lädt sehr zum Verweilen ein. Leider sieht das schon ganz anders aus, wenn man die Lokalität betritt - nicht sehr einladend. Aber da wir im Innenhof gesessen haben und nur zum Toilettengang dort hin mussten, gehe ich nicht näher darauf ein 😉

Das Essen war ok, die Weine sind allerdings nur Mittelmaas. Da gibt es bessere Winzer in Deidesheim.

Essen gut. Service / Chefin inakzeptabel. Im Rahmen einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft wird eine Getränkebestellung vom Service aufgenommen aber nicht serviert. Am Ende, 30min später, auf Nachfrage wird von der Chefin gesagt: Zu spät, Rechnung gemacht, Traubensafschorle könnte noch ausgeschenkt werden, auf Extrarechnung. Für mich etwas befremdlich. Die interne Kommunikation funktioniert nicht, der Gast bekommt sein bestelltes Getränk nicht und soll am Ende für die Versäumnisse noch extra bezahlen.... ich denke es gibt besser Lokale in Deidesheim wo man sich willkommen fühlt.

We cycled past the restaurant and it looked very cozy so we went to see if there was a table free. The waitress waved us in and left a menu and wine card at our table as she left. When she got back at the table we ordered a coffee each and a big bottle of water. Her reaction was absolutely embarrassing. She threw her hands up and loudly said “absolutely no! We don’t do this here” “go to a wine yard for that”. You can put up a sign at the entrance, that you only want guests who will also eat at your place or just inform people about it in a normal manner. we live close by the village and needless to say we won’t be back.

Gemütliches Restaurant mit schönem Gewölbe und sehr guten Speisen sowie einer netten Bedienung, die sich nur manchmal hinter der hohen Theke versteckt. Wir waren am 24.4.2022 erstmals dort, am 7.5.2023 erneut und kommen sicher auch in Zukunft gerne wieder. Der Spargel und auch der Fisch waren super. Für unseren Sohn gab es einen Leberknödel mit Bratkartoffeln, für unsere Tochter einen Salat mit Bratkartoffeln, jeweils preiswert für 6,80 Euro.

Wir besuchen die schöne Pfalz regelmäßig 1-2 mal im Jahr und wenn wir da sind, steht auch ein Besuch beim Siben Erben im Programm. Zuletzt im Rahmen der Weinbergnacht Anfang März. Essen und Ambiente sind sehr gut, Bedienung schnell und freundlich, die Preise absolut angemessen. Hatten einen tollen Abwnd und freuen uns auf den Sommer und die Terrasse:)

Hochwertige Küche in einem rustikalen aber sehr ansprechendem Ambiente. Vom Gruß aus der Küche bis zur Nachspeise hat alles wunderbar gepasst. Die Qualität der Speisen war hochwertig! Bei jedem Gang konnten wir kleine Raffinessen feststellen. Die Portionsgrößen waren super (nicht zu viel aber keinesfalls zu wenig). Der Salat war frisch und abwechslungsreich. Abgerundet wurde unser kurzweiliger Abend von leckeren Weinen des angehörigen Weinguts.
