The kitchen is very good, but the fact that I have to eat my dish in exactly 1.5 hours from the time I order it until I finish it is a no-go for me because the next batch of reservations is already waiting at the door. That's why I won't eat there anymore. It makes you feel uncomfortable.
Service overwhelmed and inattentive. Almost an hour of involuntary break between starter and main course, while other tables that came after us had long since had their main course. Tartare and tuna were great, octopus was ridiculously tiny and fish soup was over-spiced with saffron. Wines well and fairly priced. Using the toilet costs extra. It's a shame, actually an interesting concept with a lot of potential.
Had a very tasty cheese soup there today. However, the main course - mussels was disastrous. We sent the first portion back because the mussels weren't warm enough. The second portion was also hot, but a lot of the mussels were broken and dry. You could get the impression that they weren't freshly cooked but simply warmed up. I would never order again.
Highly recommended hotel, staff very, very friendly and helpful. Bar very nice atmosphere. There was really nothing to complain about except the weather.
Unreserved recommendation. If you love good cuisine, this is the place for you. I visited your friend. I stayed in a single room at Kaisers Eck for two nights. On the first evening we booked the table out of convenience. And then, as experienced 'restaurant visitors', we were amazed at the quality of the food and the design on the plate. We had the 'favorite menu' with 4 courses and wine accompaniment. All of the dishes were of the highest standard. The German white wines were each appropriate and also top. Afterwards, two more rounds of digestifs. The selection and quality of digestifs was also at a top level.
Of course we made reservations there again the next evening. This time the vegetarian menu. A poem!
The whole thing is managed by a young married couple. Fred does his magic in the kitchen and Sandra serves and explains the dishes with a somewhat Nordic, brittle but very warm manner.
Go and enjoy!
Just great! We had the large kebab plate - it was great! Lots of meat, lots of fries, lots of salad. Tea in advance - offered - without us asking, an ouzo and a very nice and attentive owner! KEEP IT UP! And all in a holiday resort! Class!
The forest oasis has a nice atmosphere.
The main course today was a venison goulash, which had a good taste but unfortunately the larger pieces of meat were seared too hot, so they were a bit tough. The dessert "Chocolate Mouse on Raspberry Mirror with Vanilla Ice Cream" was good, but the core of the mouse was no longer creamy as a whole and was partly cooked through.
The whole thing didn't affect the taste. It was just nuances. Overall, the restaurant is recommended.
We spent 3 days on Usedom and the reviews of the restaurants here were pretty sobering. Luckily we came across this restaurant. The food was really top class and we really traveled the whole world. But what makes this country something really special is the restaurant boss Matthias. If the man is employed, you have to shower him with money.
He is so OUTSTANDING in his hospitality and leadership that I have never experienced in a restaurant and reminded me of a Hollywood movie and the portrayal of the perfect restaurant owner.
The restaurant is nicely located. In the evening you can sit beautifully in the sunset and look at the sea. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wine was cheap and yet very good. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us. The salad with feta was successful but the other dishes were rather disappointing given the excellent reviews. We wouldn't go there again
I'm surprised that this excellent restaurant hasn't already received at least one Michelin Best in Price recommendation. High-quality ingredients, sophisticated, special menus and a large selection of wines. Vegan menu – everything is just perfect.
