The innkeeper couple Arnold and Karin and their team manage the balancing act between sports bar and restaurant with very tasty food. Just a Stüble! There are seats at the large bar, tables in the niches, a Steirer Stüble and there is also seating outside in the beer garden. If you like short fried food, salads or snacks and are looking for a very good price-performance ratio, this is the right place for you. Simply very good hosts who know their craft.
We will definitely come back more often. The food is very tasty, the portions are quite reasonable for the price, and we were warmly welcomed and served.
A truly exceptional experience, especially Nik's service!
Getting a Michelin star isn't easy, but making my mother happy is almost impossible!
Thank you for the wonderful evening!
Very child-friendly (really child-friendly & not just pretending), the Italians in Italy are like that too ;) Surroundings & ambience are great. Food top. Extra requests were easily addressed.
What more could you want :)
The flatbread shop survives all storms? Every time we come home to the Ries we go to the Pirates and every time it is a joy to see that the flatbread shop defies all trends and does its thing mercilessly. “Pirate Pizza” with the kids during the day and a pub in the evening. There is still room for punk rock and other "weird activities". Flatbreads remain good, people are funny and toilets are rustic. AJZ mood arises. Keep it up!
Update September 4th, 2024:
Gyros and calamari were okay too. The latter is probably breaded itself, but I assume that the calamari is frozen food. I think the portion is a bit small. Unfortunately there was no nightcap on the house today either. Apparently it doesn't always exist.
I had the best gyros here in a long time! Huge pieces, and deliciously crispy 😋 I ate a gyros plate with souvlaki. Souvlaki was okay, but not nearly as tasty as the gyro. The side dish was braised green beans and potatoes and boiled rice. And a tzatziki with lots of garlic! Sitting outside in the beer garden is very comfortable under the trees and away from the hustle and bustle. There was a small salad for the main course and a nightcap on the house at the end. The owner greets every guest personally, and overall there was a (hospitable) friendly atmosphere here. Next time I'll just eat gyros here 😊
