Of course you can still stop by there, but it is no longer the typical “Hutzen atmosphere” of yesteryear. The ambience has also changed a lot. It's just not like it was before the "bereavement". Great for a bike ride. We like to stop there. The furniture in the beer garden has become a bit worn over the years and could use some repairs or replacements. Otherwise, we're always happy to come back. They also have something for a little snack; our child just misses the wieners. 😉

It's been a long time since we've been back to Altenberg and the restaurant "zum Erzgebirge" is a must for us... what can we say, still wonderful. Nice staff, service, great food, fresh and warm. Definitely planned again on our next vacation in the region. Thank you, you are a great team.

We spontaneously went to the Schnitzelschmiede for my birthday. I love eating schnitzel, but I was very disappointed with my selection. The schnitzel had quite a bit of frying oil on it, and the sweet potato fries I was so looking forward to had been in the fryer far too long. They were dry, hard, and soaked with grease. I also found the Aporol a bit diluted. I'm not usually one to complain easily, but here I had to return half of it. It was inedible. A shame, considering the price wasn't exactly cheap. We certainly won't be eating there again.

The staff was friendly, courteous and always attentive without being intrusive. The service ran smoothly, requests were fulfilled promptly, and special requests were also taken into account as a matter of course. Overall, a thoroughly successful visit. Anyone who values ​​good food and attentive service is in good hands here. I'd love to come back.

We had lunch today with a party of 9. Cozy restaurant, very nice staff. Unfortunately we waited 70 minutes for food. Unfortunately, several dishes were just disappointing. The dumplings were made from ready-made dough. The goose leg was cold inside. The asparagus was unpleasantly sour, although no one could say whether it was the asparagus itself or the way it was prepared. My daughter didn't eat the pancakes, which is really a statement. These were also made from ready-made dough and had a completely strange consistency. All in all, unfortunately not good home cooking, just warmed up ready-made food.

We spontaneously went there for dinner today and were very surprised by the delicious and fresh preparation of the food.
