Schützenhaus Zwenkau in Zwenkau

Unfortunately, the gastronomic situation in Zwenkau has shrunk considerably. Somehow incomprehensible, with the ambitions of the city, with the harbor and all the new residents and tourists. Of the long-established restaurants, the Schützenhaus is now probably the last one that still offers warm food. But I can only recommend this one! The food is delicious and plentiful, special requests are also taken into account, the staff - from the boss, Mr. Valtin, to the waitress - is extremely friendly and the price-performance ratio is very good!! I hope and wish that this restaurant will continue to exist with this line-up for a long time! For me, who comes to Zwenkau for a short visit once or twice a year, the Schützenhaus is my first choice for a good meal.

Inspired by the “Neuseen Challenge” we stopped here. Nice building, nice staff, but everything seems a bit uncoordinated. The ravages of time should definitely be taken into account, but the good nineties are slowly disappearing. A bottle of beer for over €4 is also an announcement when your own draft beer is on offer for €5.90.

Were very happy with the food. In addition, the staff was really nice and accommodating.

If you're looking for traditional German food and ambience, this is the place for you.

Food was delicious, good home-style cooking... there was nothing to complain about but we waited for a good hour... unfortunately the staff showed that they weren't experts... we hung out outside because the weather was right... if If you have time, you just look....something needs to be done...benches are relatively hard....more love 💘 for the ambience....flowers on the table....creat a bit of order all around... .....it's a nice restaurant otherwise it would be a shame....

We had dinner there for our birthday, unfortunately I can't say anything particularly positive, except that the waiter was very nice. Out of 4 sides of dishes, 3 dishes and salad remained at the end, as all other dishes were not available. 2 pages with dishes of asparagus...unfortunately there was no more asparagus. 1 page with castles...that didn't exist...because they only exist on a certain day (which wasn't marked anywhere) What remained were a few salads and 4 dishes. The fish would then be ordered from this...which unfortunately was no longer available. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was bad...only the schnitzel dish worked. Because there was only one waiter in service...who ran back and forth between the main building and two wooden huts...we waited forever to be able to order more drinks anyway (even though only about 5 tables were occupied). Let's get to the payment...since there weren't just 3 of us, we obviously didn't just pay €100. But then we were told for the first time that EC payment was not possible. It says on a mini sign on a door...that you don't even walk past! Also generally very loveless and wild atmosphere. Unfortunately not worth recommending.

Even in summer everything is great here! As always, the food is very good and the service is very friendly, nice and quick.

Quietly located restaurant with a large beer garden. Would love to come back.

Good location. Probably the only restaurant in town with German cuisine. I recommend dumplings with dumplings and red cabbage.

The friendliness of the service left a lot to be desired. If you do a part-time job like this, you should also have fun with it.

Food perfectly fine, no frills, classically good - asparagus menu in season, was very well received by my wife. Also offer a burger day. The location and potential of the location are great. Unfortunately, some things are getting old and need to be addressed. When it comes to service, like many restaurants, there is a lack of staff...but that can be made up for with friendliness.

Unfortunately, the service staff couldn't answer simple questions, she always had to ask first... because of a celebration it was very restless and crowded. The food was great and the ice cream also tasted good. But I would come back again.

Quaint restaurant, beautifully located in the forest. The outdoor pool next door could be a bit noisy in summer. At the beginning of May it was nice and quiet and there were plenty of parking spaces. Staff very friendly and helpful, service times could be improved. There are many play options for children. Unfortunately, many toys and devices were defective or not in a safe condition... that was a real shame. The food was plentiful and very tasty.

It's been a long time since I've had such a hearty, well-cooked lunch as I did here. The entire team here is awesome and you just feel more than welcome here...as you can see from all the other reviews, I'm not the only one who sees it that way and reinforces my opinion even more...there are also very pleasant and fun guests here in the evenings which makes it easy to decide to come here again and again...many thanks to the entire team and please keep it up, in what is probably the best restaurant in the area!!! We really enjoy going there. Price/performance top. Very friendly staff. A not too big menu. No matter what you choose, it tastes great. A big thank you to the kitchen and all the staff there. We'd love to come back.

Actually a nice restaurant with great surroundings, unfortunately there is a lack of staff. After we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our drinks, we skipped lunch. We hadn't planned 3 hours for this.

Very expensive ready meals and half of them are cold or not cooked through at all. Unfortunately, drinks were a bit stale. The ambience was rustic, nicely decorated but something urgently needed to be done in terms of cleanliness. The service was very nice and accommodating. We had hoped for more. A pity!

The food is simply amazing! Individual wishes are always taken into account as everything is freshly prepared. We also like to eat here with the children. The outdoor area is great for this. Rustic inside, as you would expect from the name of the location. Keep it up, we’ll always be happy to come back!👍 My tip: the homemade brawn!

When I saw the prices I was shocked at first, but the price increase was to be expected. But if you see what and how much is on the plate, the price is justified. All dishes are freshly prepared and are very tasty. The "Red Limo" on the drinks is (barrel) soda, but anyone who expects the GDR cask soda will be disappointed, because it doesn't come close to the original in terms of taste. A tip for allergy sufferers - always read the small print. The numbers 5,6,7 in the soda are sweeteners and are explained in the appendix. The furnishings are suitable for a rifle lodge, with a 90s flair, but uncomfortable if you stay there for a long time. I can still recommend a visit with a clear conscience. The service is friendly and accommodating.

We were a hiking group, with a reservation, 14 males, females - and we all really liked the polite and familiar manner of the staff straight away! Quite short waiting times - with 14 people! -, and divine, lovingly prepared dishes made from fresh ingredients have appealed to us all, really everyone! extremely satisfied! Unfortunately it's a bit far - we're from Halle - otherwise I would dine here every weekend (apart from the fact that I can cook quite well myself) (let's see how long that could finance my pension ;-)

Had a spontaneous meal there with the family. Very friendly service and the food was delicious. The children were given something to paint straight away, super attentive.

Delicious selection of dishes, inn with a rustic flair, terrace with outdoor seating and large beer garden. Otherwise - nice staff, friendly service and special requests are also made possible. The outdoor area has been completely redesigned, with a large chess field, bobby car track and much more.

War schon öfter da. Immer gutes hausgemachtes Essen, immer reichlich. Der Burger Tag sollte wiederholt werden. Eine schöne Abwechslung zur Hausmannskost. Es gab kreative, gut gelungene Burger und mit perfekten Pommes.

Es gab ein Schnitzel mit Blumenkohl . Es war gute Hausmannskost . Die Dekoration fand ich passend. Vor dem Haus ist ein großer Parkplatz wo wir gut mit dem Wohnmobil stehen konnten.

Tolles Restaurant mit einem schönen Biergarten. Hier kann man unter Kastanienbäumen sein Bier, Kaffee etc. genießen. Das Essen ist regional, sehr lecker und es gibt große Portionen. Super Preis-Leistung!

Essen hat gut geschmeckt, große Portionen; nette Bedienung! Trotz Vorbestellung lange Wartezeit! Die Kassen für die Abrechnung sollten mal programmiert werden, damit der Kassenbon nachvollziehbar ist und keine Fehler auftreten!

Ein ganz toller Biergarten mit einem super netten Kellner. Der trotz vielen Gästen nett blieb. Leider sind die Saucen aus der Tüte und schmecken nur nach Maggi. Das wäre zu verbessern.

Tolle Gaststätte mit einem schönen Biergarten. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen reichlich. Preise sind angemessen und das Personal sehr freundlich, absolute Empfehlung.

Weihnachten am 24.06.. tolle idee, leider zu wenig interessierte, schade, die leute hocken allein irgendwo rum und dort war es so schön.

..wir haben eine Radtour gemacht..(8 Personen) und sind zum Mittagessen ins Schützenhaus Zwickau..es war auch ohne Vorbestellung ein Tisch für uns vorhanden.. der Service war echt gut..super schnell,nett und lustig..wir wurden sofort mit getränken versorgt und das Essen war auch in annehmbarer Zeit bei uns auf dem Tisch.. ..wirklich gutes preis / leistungs Verhältnis..wir kommen gerne wieder..

Wir feierten unsere Hochzeit im Schützenhaus Zwenkau. Wir sind rundum begeistert. Vom reichhaltigen Buffet über die sehr, sehr fleißigen Bedienungen (vielen Dank an Vicky und Monti) bis hin zum dauerhaft emsigen Chef Kay und seinem Küchenteam können wir das Schützenhaus von vorne bis hinten nur weiterempfehlen! Vielen Dank, dass auch Ihr unseren Tag unvergesslich gemacht habt!

Dieser Biergarten ist eine absolute Katastrophe. So viel Unhöflichkeit von Mitarbeitern habe ich noch nie erlebt . Es ist schade für das schöne Ambiente des Biergartens, der durch die Mitarbeiter absolut nicht zu empfehlen ist. Wir werden dort nie wieder hingehen . Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Ewig lange Wartezeiten und total überfordertes Personal!!!

Heute waren wir Gast beim ersten Brunch im schönen Biergarten vom Schützenhaus. Der Service war wie immer zuvorkommend, so dass man sich willkommen und wohl fühlt. Das Büfett war vielseitig und reichlich, für jeden was dabei und sehr lecker. Wenn sich das rumspricht, wird es künftig nicht so einfach sein, Plätze zu reservieren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gern wieder! Weiterhin viele gute Einfälle und zufriedene Gäste wünschen wir dem Team vom Schützenhaus.

Wir kommen aus Thüringen und verbringen das lange Wochenende in Zwenkau. Kurzentschlossen geschaut was so in der Gegend an gastronomischen Möglichkeiten verfügbar ist. Da wurde das Schützenhaus Zwenkau gefunden und angesteuert. Erster Eindruck vom Ambiente überzeugte. Das gastronomische Angebot erwies sich dann gleich als richtige Entscheidung hier einzukehren. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, von den Speisen bis zu den Getränken und nicht zu vergessen von dem freundlichen Service des Personals(besonders Kay, danke für dein Arrangement). Alles in allem sind wir nicht enttäuscht und sehr erfreut aus diesem Tag gegangen, dementsprechend ist das Schützenhaus Zwenkau eine Empfehlung wert. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind, ist es ein Ort den wir definitiv aufsuchen werden.

Ein gemütliches Gasthaus mit gutbürgerlicher Küche, fairen Preisen und freundlicher Bedienung, etwas abseits des touristischen Trubels gelegen. Wir kommen gern wieder. In den Sommermonaten lädt der Biergarten zum gemütlichen Verweilen ein. Die Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Tür sind der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Fahrradtouren oder Spaziergänge zum und um den Zwenkauer See und runden den positiven Gesamteindruck ab.

Immer wieder schön. Auch Sonderveranstaltungen sind immer wieder tolle.
