Food and staff very top. The ambience is outdated. Very bad lighting in the restaurant, very dark.

Meine Frau und ich konnten es kaum glauben, dass es das s o noch gibt: Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit ausgesprochen freundlicher u n d kompetenter Bedienung und hervorragendem Essen. Unbedingt empfehlen wir diesen wunderbaren Ort. Wir kommen (leider erst in einem Jahr!) gerne wieder nach Leipzig an diesen kulinarischen Zauberort. Übrigens hat uns auch das Publikum begeistert: Lauter normale Leute, die das Preis- / Leistungs Erlebnis zu schätzen wissen!

Wir waren zum Konzert in diesem tollen urigen Haus. Der Hunger plagte dann doch irgendwann und waren froh noch was zu essen zu bekommen. Da waren wir dann doch sehr enttäuscht, zum Essen bekamen wir den schlechtesten Weißwein geliefert (es gab nur zwei trockene, beide waren ein Desaster) und dann kam ein mit Fett durchtränkte Schnitzel mit Pommes (Bratkartoffeln standen auf der Karte) mit einem verbrannten Ei drauf, sehr langweilig angerichtet… es kam so wie ein Rausschmiss rüber… 😏 Echt noch nie so ein schlechtes Hamburger Schnitzel gegessen. Leider sehr schade da wir wohl ein wenig geblendet waren durch diese schöne Lokalität. Jedoch wünschen wir der Küche einen kühlen Kopf zu bewahren und versuchen es mal besser zu machen Alles Gute euch

The food is incredibly delicious. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We managed to get a table by chance, but many people had to leave because there were no more seats available. Reservations are recommended. The staff are also very accommodating and friendly.

We have been going to this restaurant for years. We love the rustic atmosphere and the food always tastes excellent, even if it is now quite expensive. The staff is always very friendly and approachable. There is a star deduction for the toilets that are not barrier-free.

Incredibly terrible. Today I bought 4 scoops of ice cream for €8. Unfortunately, I discovered that the ice had completely crystallized. It was definitely no longer fresh. When I wanted to complain about the ball, no accommodation was possible. The seller of the ice cream immediately confronted me and said that the ice cream was so normal, even though I had eaten this exact type of ice cream there before and it was very tasty. The waiter seemed embarrassed by the boss's manner. He should really be ashamed of treating his guests like this. Unfortunately, the quality of the forest air, be it food or service, has definitely declined in recent years. It's a shame, because it used to be my favorite garden restaurant. There is a lot of forest air upwards.

We recently went out to eat something when the weather was beautiful because we wanted to treat ourselves. We passed the Vogels ballhaus and thought it would be a good opportunity to eat there. The first rude awakening was when we entered the restaurant, cold cigarette smoke immediately came towards us, which was very unpleasant for us. When we ordered, the staff was really unfriendly and arrogant and very annoyed, we were totally unpleasant, we waited more than an hour for our food. When the food came it looked careless and not so beautifully prepared and presented, but it was supposed to be home cooking, finished products, but the top grain was the staff, work clothes were zero, hygiene apparently unknown, the chef who wanted to call himself that was not wearing a hair net, had loose, greasy hair that fell over his face, this sight was very unappetizing. CONCLUSION: WE COULD HAVE SAVED THIS VISIT. IT'S A Pity We'd Have Cooked OURSELVES OR WOULD HAVE WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
