Unfortunately, I didn't get a glass of tap water there for my tablets. Which is not a problem in any other restaurant. The schnitzel was not seasoned well and there was no pepper and salt on the table.

We were there on August 20, 2024. First we boarded the flight, but the pestering wasps were in the way. We moved inside. It's very atmospheric inside, literally like in the movies. My wife ordered veal schnitzel, I ordered a roll with potato balls, plus salad and one drink each. It wasn't cheap, 68 euros, but it was worth it. Real German cuisine and authentic atmosphere played a role. Plus, at the end we were offered a compliment in the form of two shots of apple liqueur. 10/10

Operating staff very unprofessional. Eating took 1.5 hours. Rump steak was raw. Chanterelles were lukewarm.

The food was okay, very simple and not particularly tasty. Unfortunately we also had to wait a relatively long time (drinks and food). The many positive responses have not been confirmed.

We were in the guild cellar or beer garden for the first time. The waiter came quickly and took the order. Our order was presented for about 20 minutes. Plates were very attractive and the portions were plentiful. The finest German cuisine is served here. The only disadvantage is that in the outdoor area, trams pass by and cause a lot of noise, so you sometimes have to stop talking. Conclusion: I would love to come back and can recommend the restaurant.

We had a ragout fin unfortunately it wasn't as tasty as we expected. It was actually just a thick flour mush with no taste. The meat and mushrooms were good. My husband had schnitzel with chanterelles and I had a salad plate. His food was very good, especially the chanterelles - very tasteful. There was nothing wrong with my salad either. Our friends were also very happy with their food and will definitely go again. Unfortunately it's too far away for us, maybe next year.

Update: New owner. Indian menu for lunch. The normal menu in the evenings and weekends. The food is still good but not as good as it used to be when there was a very good special menu for the month. Eating took a very long time, but it wasn't very full. Person very nice. We recommend. Regional products. Map changes depending on the availability of these products. German home cooking in particular is usually interpreted in a more modern way. Always tasty and reasonably priced.

Absolutely recommended, we spontaneously asked on Saturday evening and got a place. Warm welcome, good service, clear menu and excellent value for money...gladly again

On Saturday around 6 p.m., hungry after a long day at the zoo, we spontaneously visited this place. It's nice to sit on the terrace, even if the tram often rattles past loudly. The service was quick, the food was very tasty. 3x fish, 1x steak.

Warm, traditional German restaurant in the Graphic Quarter with super friendly owner and staff. Lunch menu also has excellent Indian dishes. Wife and I were in Leipzig for a month doing day trips to nearby tourist spots. We ate at Zunft Keller two or three times a week. We were never disappointed. Menu is in German, but staff speaks some English and Google translate will do the rest. Reservation for weekends.

Wife and I were in Leipzig for a month and this became our place to hang out two or three times a week. Warm staff, excellent traditional German food, also tasty Indian dishes on the lunch menu. Enough English to get you by. Look at the “Spiesekarte” (menu) on their website and use google translate if you’re in doubt, or just order the Schwein schnitzel (pork cutlet) and a Hausbier (house beer). They get busy on weekends, so reservations are a good idea then.

I've eaten in the Zunftkeller very often. Several family meals and we have never been disappointed. Unfortunately this time it hit me. I ordered chicken breast fillet and received flattened chicken meat, which was unfortunately dry. I told the waiter too, but that's just how the kitchen prepares this dish. Is not acceptable for me. There are no longer any senior portions either. A pity

A great restaurant and very friendly staff

Super friendly staff. We had our medium sized dogs with us, that wasn't a problem. Grandpa, 87, was immediately offered the chair lift. I had rump steak medium, super tasty. 😋 The zander was also great. For a big city it was a good price/performance ratio. I can recommend the Zunftkeller with a clear conscience 😘

Nice, rustic restaurant with a beer garden. The inside restaurant is in the basement, but people with disabilities also have the opportunity to get downstairs using a stair lift. I didn't eat, so I can't rate it.

We didn't like the starter or the main course at all. The grilled vegetables weren't grilled and were much too soft and the seasoned meat only tasted like roux.

Can only recommend this restaurant. You feel very at home, service is very attentive. Food was tasty, not too much but not too little either. Just the right portion size. Price wise it is very reasonable.

I called here to book a table and was simply pushed away during the conversation. At first I thought it was a connection problem. When I tried again, the phone just stopped answering. That's not how we should treat each other.

Yes, you can do it if there is nothing better. On Sunday at 5:30 p.m. we were the only guests in this quaint restaurant. The lift for the stairs is positive. Putting away some unnecessary cheap decorations would be worth it . The service was nice and quick. The food average. Prices ok. Good beer. But it won't be my favorite restaurant.

Visited as a family of 4 adults and 1 child. The drinks came quickly and were good. The Camembert starter was very tasty and the portion size was also good. The main course was delicious and the quantity was more than enough. The service was ok, the restaurant was full and the 2 service staff and the bartender were already busy. Shouldn't be bad if you have a little time. Despite the stress, everyone was friendly.

Just perfect. We were here for the first time for Valentine's Day. Of course we pre-ordered. A few steps down (there is even a stair lift) and we were there. Cozy, tasteful and clean restaurant. The extremely friendly and attentive service is definitely worth highlighting. The menu is pleasantly clear and the prices are really not exorbitant. The drinks and food came very quickly. The food was absolutely perfect. Lovingly prepared and super tasty. So the guild cellar is definitely recommended...

(I was here 1 year ago, fall 2022. But my review was deleted for some unknown reason.) Big disappointment. I don't understand the reviews. We had krostitzer Bierkutscherbraten and fried pike-perch fillet with walnut mashed potatoes and horseradish-dill sauce. 1. Bierkutscherbraten should be with black beer sauce. There was sauce, but no black beer aroma. More like canteen quality. 2. A sprig of dill was only placed on top and not in sauce. The same goes for walnut mashed potatoes. The walnuts weren't even roasted to get more flavor. 3. Very small portion for the price.

It was my first time here, completely spontaneously, and I was pleasantly surprised. Small and cozy, very nice service and the food was super tasty, large portion which unfortunately I couldn't manage, but I was immediately offered if I would like to take my leftovers with me. I'll definitely come back.

We made a reservation for New Year's Eve by phone and unfortunately we weren't told that the menu was severely limited. (Only 10 dishes, two of which were for children, most of the items were very Christmassy - goose leg, venison goulash, roulade...) The prices were 4 to 6 euros higher than on the regular menu. Out of necessity, I had the only vegetarian dish (dumplings with mushrooms in a herb cream sauce and salad that was swimming in the sauce), where you immediately noticed that you had simply put a few leftovers on your plate. It absolutely didn't fit, the sauce wasn't seasoned (since it was actually intended for the schnitzel, as the waiter later told us), etc. I've rarely experienced such bad nuggets as in the children's plate. The crowning finale was a soufflé that was completely dry. 😐 The positive thing was that the food came very quickly and at least you were very full. My husband's mountain schnitzel was okay, the fries were really tasty. The staff is very friendly and also open to criticism. It was explained to us that it was mainly regular customers who were there on New Year's Eve and that they would be aware of the restricted menu. We don't think it's a bad thing if you want to work more efficiently on a day like this, but it should be communicated to the guests and you should also put some love into the vegetarian dish...

Very tasty 😋 and affordable food as well as very pleasant service.

We had an onion and a Wiener schnitzel with fries and both were really tasty. The meat was nice and thin and the onions weren't mushy. In terms of price, at just under €18 and €21, it's absolutely okay. We are happy to have finally found an alternative to the well-known home-style restaurants and would be happy to come back.

Ich sag mal so . Wer sitz germ beim Essen an der Eingangstür. Eingangsbereich drinnen könnte auch schöner sein. Dafür das Essen mega lecker..

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtstag dort - trotz dass wir noch spät kamen, wurden wir sehr nett empfangen. Das Essen war außerordentlich gut - die Gans dort übertrifft alle Erwartungen. Portionsgröße, Garpunkt, usw. Alles perfekt. Die Apfelringe zum Nachtisch sind unsererseits auch eine klare Empfehlung. Alles zusammen haben wir inkl. Getränke etwa 40€ pro Person bezahlt - allerdings hätten wir für diese Leistung auch gerne mehr bezahlt.

Frechheit, sich ein Gericht bezahlen zu lassen, obwohl man es aus mehreren Gründen reklamiert und nicht gegessen hat. Hier nie wieder! Ambiente und die anderen bestellten Speisen waren ok.

Gutes Essen, rustikales Ambiente und freundliche kompetente Bedienung. Immer wieder gerne.

Ich bin vom Vorbesitzer begeistert gewesen und eigentlich auch vom Neuen Besitzer. Es lief immer alles super,bis ich heute, dass Aller 1.mal ein Essen hatte ,was wirklich nicht gut war. Auch dass kann passieren und sollte kein Beinbruch sein,wenn sonst alles super ist. Der Neue Chef ,konnte einfach nicht die Kritik entgegen nehmen und sagen ,dass es Ihn leid tut. Nein ,Er musste dagegen halten und mich als Gast zurück lassen ,als wenn ich die Unwahrheit gesagt hätte. Das ist Echt schade. Weil ,dass hat Er nicht nötig, Vielleicht ,denkt Er, dass nächste mal anders darüber nach,wie Er sein Gast gehen lässt. Kritik ,würd anscheinend so wenig vorkommen,dass Er es nicht gewohnt ist,sich damit auseinander zusetzen. Ich kann das Restaurant, trotz des Vorfalls aufjedenfall weiter empfehlen. Da ich schon mehrmals dort war ,und es immer Super bis jetzt war und auch die Angestellten sehr freundlich.

Nach einem Arzt Termin hatte ich genügend Zeit bis zum nächsten Zug. Nach einer Google Umkreis Suche fiel mir dieses Restaurant aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen in Auge. Das Ambiente ist echt gediegen, der Empfang durch die nette Kellnerin war super und der junge Mann brachte das Kellerbier im Nu. Sauerbraten mit Klößen und Rotkohl war sehr lecker, wobei der Rotkohl besonders Klasse war. Danke an Küche und Services Team.

Ein guter Ort, um mit den Eltern hinzugehen.

Gemütliches , uriges Lokal . Essen war alles sehr lecker , Personal sehr nett und Ambiente auch ok. Zum Schluss bekam jeder noch einen Absacker auf Kosten des Hauses . Einziger Kritikpunkt war ... Zur besten Abendzeit am Sonnabend in der leipziger Innenstadt gelegen schließt dieses Lokal bereits um 22 Uhr!!!??? Wir konnten somit den Geburtstag meiner Frau nicht reinfeiern. Ein anderes lokal in der Innenstadt hat uns auch bereits um 23.30 Uhr zum gehen aufgefordert... In Leipzig gehen die Uhren irgendwie anders ... Als gäste dieser schönen Stadt waren wir diesbezüglich sehr enttäuscht !

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, faire Preise und freundlicher Service. Biergarten.

Der Zunftkeller ist nahe der Leipziger Stadtmitte. Parkplätze kann man am Straßenrand ergattern. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und gemütlich. Es wurd sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war auch sehr üppig und lecker. Die Preise sind durchschnittlich und nicht überteuert. Wir waren mit Familie da (Enkel bis Oma) und am Ende war jeder sehr zufrieden. Alles in Allem ein gelungenes Abendessen und von unsererseits sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Restaurant befindet sich im Keller. Schöne Atmosphäre mit künstlichen Lichtfenstern. Das Essen war reichlich für den Preis und frisch.

Sehr schön und dekorativ gestaltetes Ambiente. Das essen war sehr lecker und vom Preis und Service her gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Akustisch kann zum Teil ein guter Geräuschpegel durch angeregte Gespräche von vielen Gästen entstehen.

Sehr freundliches Personal die zu zweit den vollen Laden geschmissen haben, gutes und preiswertes Essen, recht nettes Ambiente aber unter Zunftkeller habe ich es mir rustikaler vorgestellt. Mit Parkplätzen sieht es leider schlecht aus. Lediglich in einer Seitenstraße kann man sein Glück versuchen

Ganz nett, Würzfleisch als Vorspeise war lecker. Championschnitzel durchschnittlich im Vergleich zum Preis von 18,90 € nicht angemessen, der Salat lt. Karte war sehr übersichtlich (siehe Foto) 😂, deswegen beim Essen nur 3 Sterbe

Alles ok ...Essen war ok , aber nicht perfekt ! Schnäpschen nach dem Essen auf Kosten des Hauses war sehr nett ! Würde da aber nicht mehr essen gehen . O/8 -15 Schnitzel ...sehr dünn ...sah wie fertig Schnitzel aus ....

Vielen Dank dem Chef und seinen Mitarbeitern für den tollen Service. Unser Treffen am 20.10.2023 mit ehemaligen Kolleginnen und Kollegen im „Zunftkeller“ war ein rundherum gelungener Abend. Das Essen hat allen geschmeckt, der Chef und das Personal waren sehr aufmerksam, und obwohl auch im Restaurant alle Tische belegt waren, wurden wir stets zügig bedient. Da wir den separaten Raum bevorzugt hatten, wurden bei einer Vorabstimmung alle Wünsche berücksichtigt, wir fühlten uns sehr gut und nett beraten. Wir können den „Zunftkeller“ mit sehr gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Für unser nächstes Treffen haben wir schon wieder reserviert.

Ein leckeres und vor allem zartes Rumpsteak konnte ich hier genießen. Auch die Beilagen waren frisch und optisch nett angerichtet. Einziger Minzspunkt war meine Cola, die irgendwie wässrig geschmeckt hat. Bedienung nett und freundlich, komme gern wieder.

Bei einem Kurztrip nach Leipzig haben wir den Zunftkeller entdeckt und waren von dem Essen und dem Ambiente im Keller sehr angetan. Super Essen, zu vernünftigen Preisen. Der Zunftkeller ist sehr zu empfehlen.
