Meine Frau und ich konnten es kaum glauben, dass es das s o noch gibt: Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit ausgesprochen freundlicher u n d kompetenter Bedienung und hervorragendem Essen. Unbedingt empfehlen wir diesen wunderbaren Ort. Wir kommen (leider erst in einem Jahr!) gerne wieder nach Leipzig an diesen kulinarischen Zauberort. Übrigens hat uns auch das Publikum begeistert: Lauter normale Leute, die das Preis- / Leistungs Erlebnis zu schätzen wissen!

Am 25.01.2025 haben wir hier im Zunftkeller einen schönen Familienabend verbringen dürfen. Eine gute Auswahl an schmackhaften Speisen wurde uns von freundlichen Personal serviert. Wir werden wieder kommen und empfehlen diese Lokalität.

Een echte aanrader prijs kwaliteit !!! Heel vriendelijk onthaal lekker eten en de prijs is heel schappelijk. Na enkele tegenvallers geprobeerd te hebben zijn we dan EINDELIJK op aanraden van onze taxi chauffeur hier terecht gekomen en intussen al een 2 keer terug geweest 👌

The restaurant is charming and in typical rustic style. The service was a little slow but it was worth it. It was all delicious. The restaurant is located in the central area. Prices are adequate for the quality of the food. The bathrooms are clean and fragrant. The staff is kind.

We chose this restaurant for this year's Christmas party. 12 guests with different dishes and no one was satisfied, hence this rating.

Had a Christmas party here and the service was absolutely great. The food was also very good, but there is still a bit of room for improvement. All in all, given the price-performance ratio, the very good service and the super nice owner, it is simply a highly recommended address.

The food is very good. Downright delicious. We arrived at lunch time, so there were a lot of customers and we had to wait a long time for the staff to take the order. We also waited a long time for the food - about an hour. Then we also had to wait for the bill and the sedum. I think it's a matter of too few employees. For owners: maybe it would be worth thinking about making life easier for the staff and employing an additional person? The two waiters had their hands full and an additional person would have relieved them.

Cozy cellar restaurant with a large menu. One side with just schnitzel dishes. Large portions. Unfortunately, vegetables were frozen and not refined. Hence the point deduction.

Just managed to get a seat at the counter without a reservation. Unfortunately the roulades were out. However, the sliced ​​pork with fried potatoes we ordered arrived quickly at a moderate price. Very nice attentive staff.

A group of 5 people went to this rustic restaurant. Admittedly, parking spaces are rare in this area, but after a good meal you can also take a short digestive walk 😉 There was nothing wrong with the service, quick, polite and always keeping an eye on the drinks. We had to wait almost an hour for the food, partly because of the number of guests and partly because everything was freshly prepared. Portion size and price/performance ratio are appropriate for today's times. Everyone enjoyed the food and we would love to come back.

Ordered and confirmed a table 6 months before the date. Cancellation 2 months before the appointment because everything was fully booked. Really lousy service!

So we became aware of this great restaurant completely by chance. We have been here in Leipzig for a week and have gotten to know some of the most famous places in the old town. Sorry, but I have to say that it was the best here in the guild cellar. The staff is super friendly and attentive (many thanks at this point). The food, from starter to salad to main course, fantastic (many thanks to the kitchen) We will definitely come back again.

Do you have an incredible craving for Schnitzel? Look no further, this is the right place for you! I found the best Schnitzel I've ever eaten in this German restaurant. Don't waste precious stomach space with a starter (which are also super filling), throw yourself on the Schnitzel! I have already come to this restaurant five times and it has not let me down yet, the quality remains impeccable. Generous portions and super tasty. The Rahmschintzel, the Hähnchenscnitzel and the Bergplatte are highly recommended (for those who can manage it, there are two Schnitzels!). I personally always ask for a portion of caramelized onions, I fell in love with them! Super recommended!

Unfortunately, I didn't get a glass of tap water there for my tablets. Which is not a problem in any other restaurant. The schnitzel was not seasoned well and there was no pepper and salt on the table.

We were there on August 20, 2024. First we boarded the flight, but the pestering wasps were in the way. We moved inside. It's very atmospheric inside, literally like in the movies. My wife ordered veal schnitzel, I ordered a roll with potato balls, plus salad and one drink each. It wasn't cheap, 68 euros, but it was worth it. Real German cuisine and authentic atmosphere played a role. Plus, at the end we were offered a compliment in the form of two shots of apple liqueur. 10/10

Operating staff very unprofessional. Eating took 1.5 hours. Rump steak was raw. Chanterelles were lukewarm.

We were in the guild cellar or beer garden for the first time. The waiter came quickly and took the order. Our order was presented for about 20 minutes. Plates were very attractive and the portions were plentiful. The finest German cuisine is served here. The only disadvantage is that in the outdoor area, trams pass by and cause a lot of noise, so you sometimes have to stop talking. Conclusion: I would love to come back and can recommend the restaurant.

We had a ragout fin unfortunately it wasn't as tasty as we expected. It was actually just a thick flour mush with no taste. The meat and mushrooms were good. My husband had schnitzel with chanterelles and I had a salad plate. His food was very good, especially the chanterelles - very tasteful. There was nothing wrong with my salad either. Our friends were also very happy with their food and will definitely go again. Unfortunately it's too far away for us, maybe next year.

Update: New owner. Indian menu for lunch. The normal menu in the evenings and weekends. The food is still good but not as good as it used to be when there was a very good special menu for the month. Eating took a very long time, but it wasn't very full. Person very nice. We recommend. Regional products. Map changes depending on the availability of these products. German home cooking in particular is usually interpreted in a more modern way. Always tasty and reasonably priced.

On Saturday around 6 p.m., hungry after a long day at the zoo, we spontaneously visited this place. It's nice to sit on the terrace, even if the tram often rattles past loudly. The service was quick, the food was very tasty. 3x fish, 1x steak.

Wife and I were in Leipzig for a month and this became our place to hang out two or three times a week. Warm staff, excellent traditional German food, also tasty Indian dishes on the lunch menu. Enough English to get you by. Look at the “Spiesekarte” (menu) on their website and use google translate if you’re in doubt, or just order the Schwein schnitzel (pork cutlet) and a Hausbier (house beer). They get busy on weekends, so reservations are a good idea then.

Restaurante cálido, tradicional alemán en el Barrio Gráfico con dueño y personal súper amable. El menú de almuerzo también tiene excelentes platos indios. Mi esposa y yo estuvimos en Leipzig durante un mes haciendo excursiones de un día a los lugares turísticos cercanos. Comíamos en Zunft Keller dos o tres veces a la semana. Nunca nos decepcionaron. El menú está en alemán, pero el personal habla un poco de inglés y el traductor de Google hará el resto. Reserva para fines de semana.

I've eaten in the Zunftkeller very often. Several family meals and we have never been disappointed. Unfortunately this time it hit me. I ordered chicken breast fillet and received flattened chicken meat, which was unfortunately dry. I told the waiter too, but that's just how the kitchen prepares this dish. Is not acceptable for me. There are no longer any senior portions either. A pity

Super friendly staff. We had our medium sized dogs with us, that wasn't a problem. Grandpa, 87, was immediately offered the chair lift. I had rump steak medium, super tasty. 😋 The zander was also great. For a big city it was a good price/performance ratio. I can recommend the Zunftkeller with a clear conscience 😘

Nice, rustic restaurant with a beer garden. The inside restaurant is in the basement, but people with disabilities also have the opportunity to get downstairs using a stair lift. I didn't eat, so I can't rate it.

Putting away some unnecessary cheap decorations would be worth it . The service was nice and quick. The food average. Prices ok. Good beer. But it won't be my favorite restaurant.

Visited as a family of 4 adults and 1 child. The drinks came quickly and were good. The Camembert starter was very tasty and the portion size was also good.
